Went camping and my friend ended up having one as well that she bought a couple years ago and it was way cheaper. Im not sure if camping has gotten more popular since covid so they raised the price?
It is super light and i survived a few rain storms. My friend had the foot print under her whole tent and the rain got in between the tent and the mat and somehow got into her tent so she was in a puddle. I didnt have a mat under mine, I just folded it to put my shoes on and my tent was dry on the inside. Zippers get stuck from time to time but so do all tent zippers. Im looking forward to taking it back packing.
Kinda awkward getting out of i

Light and easy to set up

    Durchweg zufrieden 🙂

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI did a lot of research and I couldn’t find a better value free standing tent at this weight and price point. Winter had arrived before I ordered the tent, so I haven’t had a chance to use it in practice yet. I did set it up indoors and was surprised that the quality was better than expected. The door zipper to the tent was a bit finicky (needed both hands to open), but that may not be the case once I stake it out. Even if not, it’s a minor gripe. 20D nylon does feel a little thin, I think you’ll need to take good care of it to have it last. I won’t be using it without the footprint for sure. All told, I think it was a great deal and will recommend.

I have now used this several times on bike packing trips. The size and weight are brilliant. I can’t imagine a better tent, especially at this price. It is erected in minutes and is sturdy. Other than being made in China (like most everything else) I can’t fault it at all. Brilliant.

    Excellent tent.

    Love this one-person tent:
    1. Light weighted-It fits easily in my backpack.
    2. Very easy to set up.
    3. It comes with a groundsheet, which is a bonus.
    4. Great material in rain. I have not tested it out in heavy rain.
    5. It is a good 3 season tent, but kind of warm in summer.

It’s a bit of a dice roll with no-name Chinese camping gear, but in this case, it’s a solid ultralight tent for less than half the cost of a brand name equivalent like the Big Agnes Fly Creek. I own both, one of the Big Anges tents is pretty torn up after a handful of back country hiking and kayaking trips. These have faired better so far.

I used this tent for a solo wild camping trip in Dartmoor and was not disappointed. It was raining hard while I was setting up camp so I obviously pitched the outer first and managed to keeps my valuables dry. It’s just a pity that the dark olive colour wasn’t in stock when I bought this one otherwise I’d have gone for that.

It’s a great tent that’s quick to set up and to take down. The aluminium poles are very high quality and snap together silky smooth. The best thing is that you pitch set up either the outer or the inner first and everything fits together well. The pegs very lightweight but sturdy. Great value overall. I had no problems with anything.

    Great quality tent for backpacking

One of the best-value lightweight tents you can find. I originally owned the older “non upgraded” version of this tent; however, the upgraded version is a significant improvement and worth paying the extra money for. The upgraded version has two extra poles at the back, as well as a small air vent. The extra poles pull the sides of the tent out giving you more room than the “non-upgraded” version. It is perfectly possible to fit two people inside but it is a tight squeeze. I personally use it as a one-man tent. Also noticed some reviewers saying this tent is difficult to put up… This almost discouraged me from buying it. So glad I didn’t believe those reviews. Not sure if the people saying that are blind or drunk but this tent is definitely not difficult erect!

I use this tent for bike packing it’s a wee bit on the heavy side I also have a Big Agnes Fly Creek which is similar in design. The Fly Creek 2 is half the weight but twice the price (almost) having used this I like the space it offers and the ease of pitching and packing that and the fact it is free standing. The fly creek can be a pain pitching in a wind you have to look for a sheltered spot or you can spend ages getting it set up correctly. This is much easier because of the y poles on both ends. For the money it is a bargain and I would recommend it best budget tent I have come across ticks all the boxes. If I was looking for a fast tour I’d take the Fly Creek without a doubt but if I was just out for a leisurely tour I’d take this no problem at all. The foot print which comes with this tent fits the fly Creek almost perfectly Big Agnes sell their footprint for 90 last time I looked almost the price of this tent.

Golden Review Award: 12 From Our UsersFor this price this is an excellent tent. The tent is really well made and at this price range you will not get anything better when you consider the weight/price ratio. This is pretty much the only tent which is below 2kg and will offer some sort of porch for cooking and enough head space for sitting at this price range (I am pretty tall – 186 cm – 6’1”).

Of course, the porch and the tent itself is not too big but with a bit of an effort even two adults can sleep in, we even managed to fit all our gear into the porch (it’s just a bit of a hassle when you need to go out to pee at night). But you can always just use a big dry bag and leave your rucksack outside of your tent entirely – never had to do it myself though.

As for the quality it is pretty well made and I trust it. I wouldn’t take it to the strongest winds or snow but for spring/summer times it’s perfect – I slept at some pretty high elevations in Cairngorms and all around Western and Northern Scotland in early Spring. You just have to be smart on where to pitch the tent, always look for some shelter or cover from one side as side wind wouldn’t do any good for this tent – it’s kind of a sail. When it’s windy, the tent can be really loud as the outer tends to flap a bit, but the tent can take some heavy beating when pitched properly.

The only thing I don’t like is that the bottom at the sides is quite high up so the tent is pretty drafty (not ideal for early spring camping at high elevations – the tent can get pretty cold). However, an easy fix is getting two additional pegs and pegging the sides directly to the ground (not using the two pegs which are for the side guylines).

This is a perfect tent for those who are new-ish to outdoors but are serious about hillwalking and are looking for a good gear at reasonable price. Honestly, the next level of upgrading this tent is spending at least 300+ pounds on some more ‘professional’ tents.

    Great for ‘serious beginners’.

@Naturehike you can contact me for further cooperation 😉

A steal for that price. Great for 'serious beginners' to hillwalking. Tested in Scotland.

I love my new tent, tried it only once so far for 2 nights. It’s super easy to set up and pack. When packed it fits easily into my hiking backpack and is light enough. It doesn’t keep the warmth in much and the nights were chilly but I kind of expected it based on the design. It also does let the wind in quite a lot even when the top layer is set up tight so that’s the only minus as it can get noisy and let the cold in even more on a windy night (which is what I had as I was camping near the sea shore).

Very waterproof, took this camping for 3 days and it rained for 2 days days and 3 nights. No leakage or condensation. Easy and quick set up once you figure out how to do it, but it was a little confusing at first. Space is great for 1 person, easily doable for 2 people who don’t mind being close together. Vestibule is great. Would recommend this tent to anyone.

Nhte, Reiverschlsse gut verarbeitet.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersExcellent quality tent. I honestly did not expect much from it but wow. This is quality stuff. Also this a true 2 person tent. Meaning if properly set up, it can sleep two on regular sized matts but that’s it. No room for anything else in there for sure. I am 6’3″ and two of me could fit there no problem. I bought this as a bike packing tent for one, and it’s more that I could ask for.

It withstood thunderstorm rains, 60km wind speed and rough gravel grounds. I am quite impressed with its quality. It’s light, spacious for one person with belongings.

This tent has been amazing for solo Backcountry through hiking. Super easy to set up. Lightweight. Enough space for me and my pack to keep dry but would not recommend for two people. And while yes the design is lacking and if it’s raining the front of your tent will get rained on due to design, it doesn’t matter. This is an ultralight tent for under 200$$. No complaints. No idea what that one guy was talking about it’s been a pretty amazing tent.

I love this little tent. The poles are all one unit, so easy to keep together. It does not compact down as much as I would like but I am still happy enough with the size. There is no way you are getting two people in here. My mummy bag laying flat took up most of the space and you can’t lay a full 55 ltr bag sideways in here without pushing on the walls. There is very good ventilation, you can feel the summer sun coming through the pale material. For fall/winter, just leave the fly strapped down to avoid losing all your heat. For single person use, this is not a bad choice. For the fellow thru-hikers out there, I might consider buying two for the back up but always have a repair kit with this tent. The only thing I think I would change on here is making the bathtub a little higher. Don’t use this tent without the footprint. The bottom is likely to be the first thing to tear otherwise.

This is really lightweight and it comes with a ground sheet, but I do not really know if it is durable. It is a bit flimsy and does not have much structure, so it is quite hard to pitch on windy days. Well, it’s not broken yet and I am fairly okay with it so I’ll give it four stars. But I would say there are probably much more robust options for the price, like my older Quechua one.

Loved this little tent as soon as it was delivered! I was amazed at how small the stuff-sack was, and how easy it was to set up. This is my first non-walmart tent, and I don’t think I’ll ever buy a “cheap” tent again.

The pegs at first left me scratching my head, but the notches held the guylines firm, and I live in a windy area. The included ground mat is exactly the dimensions of the floor of the tent, so bonus there. The color-coded rod mostly snapped together, and insertion into the anchor rings could not have been simpler. There is a hook on the inside for a light, and very first setup took a grand total of 5mins.

The most amazing feature, however, are the buckles on the corners of the tent. It was breezy the day I set up, but I didn’t even care since all I needed to do was locate a buckle, and snap the fly on, no hassling in the wind! The extra tie-offs are a nice feature as well, helping to keep noise down as less tent is swaying in the breeze.

I’ll be going over all the fly seams with a sealant since I could feel a slight dampness on them. It might have just been a morning dew, but that is just me being particular, I and my gear were completely dry after a rainy night.

I have concerns on the durability since the fabric is SOO lightweight (this doubles as a positive quality), but only time can be the judge of that.

Very happy with my purchase! I look forward to many seasons with this tent.

This is an excellent tent. We had a previous one of the same company but it broke after a year of use. But during its time of use it was very good. The company gave excellent customer service and refunded the cost. Since the tents are really high quality and we think the break may be a very rare occurrence, we purchased a new one, very similar to the first one. So far, very very good.

Yay! I liked looking at the creepy crawlers climbing on top of the tent through the mesh. I hope I can use the fly in the future during colder camps.

Recently took this tent canoe in camping in Northern Ontario – very lightweight and compact. Tent comes with a foot print and extra string etc. There is no canvass over the door like most tents, its just a screen door only so you have to close the vestibule up for more wind or rain protection but even with the vestibule closed on a hot night it stayed quite comfortable inside ( under trees too – would get hot in the open) and would be cold on the chillier nights of camping I think. Over all its a very nice tent and so light and small, makes it easy for tripping. Did not get to test it in rain but it stayed on the ground through some heavy winds. Pegs are a bit odd and kinda sharp – so you may need a rock or something if the ground is hard…

Easy to set up. Swapped out the aluminum stakes for msr carbon cores and saved 9 oz total. I have taken this tent on multiple outings and has performed great. I wish I could find some DAC poles for it. If your thinking about this one instead of the UL 2 (modeled the same) from another company. Do it !

I purchased this tent for my 21 year old Grandson, he is going out to the Black Hills for the summer of 2019 to work as a firefighter for U.S. Forest Service. All he and I know at this time is the tent is very light. Tent to be used on days off for overnight hikes.

Golden Review Award: 36 From Our UsersThis is a good tent for the price.

This is the second I have bought, one for me and one for my son, so I must be pleased with it.

It is quite waterproof and this upgraded version (make sure you get this) has good ventilation and stability, even in fairly strong wind.

Size-wise it is fairly typical of tent descriptions i.e. it is just about useable as a two-man in cosy conditions and with no gear in the tent. It is more useful as a one-man tent for backpacking.

Despite the description, the weight of the 20D tents is the same for the three colours (grey, light green, dark green) at 1530g for everything except the groundsheet, which is another 260g and you will need this because the floor of the 20D tent is very thin.

At nearly 1800g for a solo tent, it’s not ultralight, but it is a complete tent, rather than shelters half the weight that are a tarp, minimal inner and you use your walking poles as support.

If you can manage a bit of sewing then add some velcro patches where the outer meets the poles to add a lot of stability. Also make sure you tie on and use the two extra side guys or the outer will flap a lot in the wind and the inner will touch the outer, which will mean water inside in moderate rain.

Shop around because there is up to 100% price difference between online stores for this tent.

The wind blew my tent over and when it skidded on the rocky ground… Tiny pinholes riddled the rain fly. I NEED A REPLACEMENT RAINFLY but don’t see an option to buy one.

Note: Un dtail agaant. Bon service aprs-vente.

    Compacte, légère, facile à monte

Only put up in spair bedroom to check it over very well made and put together with some nice thought gone into the details and design far better than my old tent from 2003 which was lightweight in those days and cost 4 times as much as this one and still had to seam seal every couple off years to stop leaks at the seams

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersDieses coole Zelt hat hochwertige Nylon Material benutzt, besonders innere Netz hat sehr gut Design.

Fr leichte Wandern super geeignet.

I haven’t tested this outside yet… So I will update when I do… Super easy to put up and take down… I used to have a very expensive Big Agnes and so far I don’t really see much of a difference in quality… Again, I haven’t tested it in the wild yet…

Golden Review Award: 25 From Our UsersUsed this tent twice now and so far really impressed. It’s stood up to a battering of gale winds and rain on the hills of North Wales without an issue. Goes up quickly and offers more space than you think. Material and construction are spot on, easily on par with more expensive brands. Lightweight, compact and an ideal tent for a backpacker or wildcamper. I’ve owned numerous small backpacking and wildcamping tents over the years and this is impressive.

This is an excellent product, particularly considering its price. I’ve had it for nearly two years and used it extensively (well over 100 nights) over a variety of terrain (like plus 40-degree temperatures and below 0, as well as beaches and rocky ground). The rainfly has held up to very heavy thunderstorms and fairly strong winds too. It does get more condensation that tents I’ve previously used but the moisture has never leaked inside and the fabric dries quickly.

The size is perfect, plenty of space for one person plus a big backpack (I haven’t tested it with two people) and enough headspace to sit up. The entrance is tall enough to cook under on a small stove if the weather is bad too. It weighs about 1.5kg altogether and packs up small so it’s great for hiking and bicycle touring. It’s very quick to pitch and pack once you know how.

Update: After the first year, of use, the groundsheet began to get damp inside, even from just from morning due and while using the footprint. That said I would still purchase this tent again, it’s a great product for the price.

Golden Review Award: 25 From Our UsersReally impressed; a bargain price but the quality of a much more expensive tent. Great for backpacking as it packs small and light for a tent of its size, but loads of room inside for me and my pack, and can sit up readily. Would fit 2 people easily, and possibly backpacks too if you’re organised. Porch small for 2 but perfect for 1.
Easy to pitch, even in the wet because you can put the outer fly up first (poles fit into footprint) then clip in the inner tent and switch the poles into that.
Extra side guylines on this model make it really stable.

Golden Review Award: 39 From Our UsersReceived the upgraded version today. I was struck by the quality: not a stitch out of place, and all in lovely light nylon. Poles are a workhorse aluminium alloy, so whilst not as strong or as light as DAC, they are certainly reliable. Compared to my previous tent, there is an excellent amount of headheight. Plenty of space for one person. Also, the extra guy points on the upgraded version should really aid stability. There are a total of 5 guy points (2 on the side, 2 on the front, and one on the back on the ventilation flap). Very pleased and would be happy to take this on my next adventure. I cannot comment on the longevity of this tent, though if it lasts a year or so then it more than pays for itself (at a little over 100). I give 4 stars for one reason, which is that there are no velcro tabs to secure the top of fly to the poles. However, given the side guy out points, this shouldn’t be a big deal. I also like the footprint, which is polyster. It adds about 250 grams to the 1.5kg weight of the tent, pegs and poles. So that’s about 1.75kg for a spacious tent for one. I would not recommend for anyone over about 6′ 2″, though, as it is only 210cm long. I am 5′ 6″, and I fit perfectly. I consider myself a relative novice at backpacking, and a tent of this weight, price and dimensions is near-perfect. It is far more ‘livable’ than my previous Zephyros 1.

Golden Review Award: 227 From Our UsersMy friend and I run a hiking channel on YouTube (Summit or Nothing) and are always on the lookout for durable, lightweight tents that are reasonably priced – we seem to have found it in the NatureHike Cloud Up 2.

We have had a good look at the product erected in the back garden, and so far are incredibly impressed with what we have seen. From previous reviews on here and on YouTube, it appears that the current tent has been modified by Nature Hike to eliminate qualms that people have had in the past – it has plenty of ventilation to reduce condensation and extra guide ropes and eye holes on the side to strengthen the structure in the wind.

I have always used the Vango Banshee in the past, and the Cloud-Up not only beats the former in weight saving, but also in room inside too. You can comfortably sit up in the Cloud-Up, and not only that, but the light grey tent material also makes it a lot lighter inside than the gloomy and often claustrophobic interior of the Banshee. And to think that they are practically the same price, too.

Its lightweight skeleton and Y shaped ribbed pegs are not only lightweight but also seem to be a lot stronger than many V-shaped stakes we have tried in the past.

The tent also comes with a secondary groundsheet that will help to protect the tents own ground sheet, but if you wanted to brave it you could always get rid of that and save even more weight, but even with it it still remains a reasonable weight for the lightweight hiker. In fact, we have saved a lot of weight by getting rid of a few of the bags that are provided and sticking.

We are looking forward to giving it a good road test out on the mountains and moorlands of the UK and will be uploading our progress to our channel as we go.

Golden Review Award: 194 From Our UsersI REALLY LIKE THIS TENT because it is very lightweight and easy to set up! The additional vent allows for a cross breeze on warm days and should allow condensation to escape on colder nights. The fly doesn’t feel ‘rubbery’ like the silicon-coated foot-print mat, so I’m not sure how well it will shed the rain. I guess I will find out soon!
I could only give it FOUR-STARS because it is small for two people, is missing a snow skirt to make it a true 4-season tent, and the vestibule is also small, only big enough for boots, not a backpack.

    I REALLY LIKE THIS TENT

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our Usersi’ve had some great adventures in this tent. it’s super easy to pitch and strike. it’s very well designed and comes with high quality ropes and pegs.
cheap enough for a kids knockabout tent, strong enough for year round camping and light enough to carry in your pack for miles.
it has stood up to a lot of punishment. my first one unfortunately ripped in 85mph winds. but even then it stayed up and gave shelter long enough for me to get sorted out and ready to move. i’m pretty sure it would have been fine if the wind had stayed at 80mph, and you can’t say that about many tents.
this tent is often described as a chinese knock off of a much more expensive american brand, but when i bought a replacement they had made several improvements so it seems that naturehike take this product seriously and are always listening to feedback and developing it.
i have the 20d one, but the 20d upgraded one looks well worth the extra money for its free standing ability and extra guy points.
    great tent.

This tent has worked great. Light, and very easy to carry. No problem setting it up and disassembling. The design was sturdy enough to last a night of moderate wind. Me and another family member were able to fit comfortably. It should be noted that the height of the tent is about a meter therefore getting in is a bit tougher for a taller individual. Rain Fly worked well and I left it partially open to have some air circulation during the night. So far a great product. Looking forward to using more on my upcoming camping trips.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersGreat lightweight tent. Very roomy for the weight. Easy to pitch. Surprisingly well made. I’ve used it in 30mph winds and storms. No issues.

    Update July 2017

I’ve been using this tent for a year now. It’s been out in all weathers without any issues. It can get a little flappy in the wind if I don’t get a taut pitch. I was worried about the joint for the poles but it has been fine. I don’t use the footprint to save a little weight. I did replace the pegs to give me more confidence in hard ground. There are no marks on the fabric. I always use it solo and it is very spacious for the weight. Definitely one of my better buys.
