The game is fun and everything that it is supposed to be
If you want a thrilling experience then this is the game for you! Just half an hour into the game I was enthralled, blown away and entertained to the core. Had to stop play because its was near my bedtime. Choose from many cars, locations with realistic game play. Choose to race or be a Cop chasing criminals is more fun. Quickly earn credits, points and new cars. Drive on the scenic highways, beach, dessert, city, thru tunnels in the sunshine, night and rain. My heart was thumping to the sound effects and the graphics are amazing with its high arcade quality. Crashes are spectacular, perhaps the best crashes similar to Burnout series and true to the film. Call in the helicopter to slow down criminals lol. This game does not disappoint. Meant to play this game for a while since purchasing. Don’t delay playing, highly addictive lol. RECOMMENDED!

Wanted it since re-release. As a fan of this game on PS3 and all other NFS games I thought hmmmm could bring back memories, and at the price I brought it for wow couldn’t resist7.99 what a steal. Brilliant game, graphics are slightly upscaled than before and the music, well brings back memories as well

I bought this as a birthday present for my son. He loves it and is a big fan of Need For Speed games. He never gets bored of it and plays it for hours. I definately recommend on his behalf.

Cars feel a bit heavier in this version compared to the PS3 version, maybe it’s just me, getting old.

Best arcade racer on PS4. If you liked Burnout, you will love this.
It plays brilliantly although the handling of some cars took some getting used to, especially when doing the rapid response missions where some of the cars handling felt a bit too loose and off to me.
Speaking of the rapid response/time trial missions I was never a big fan and they were always the ones I enjoyed the least as they feel a bit boring compared to the other modes.
All the other game modes play great whether you’re the police or the racer and I forgot just how great they are to play especially for it being an over ten years old game which you can sometimes remember through rose tinted glasses then end up disappointed but it’s a relief that this is not the case here.
Online racing has been working great for me too and I have had no trouble finding matches although my skill level needs a serious boost as the players I’ve encountered so far are miles better than me literally and figuratively but I do love the challenge of playing against other human players.
If you have a PS4 Pro or PS5 you can choose between graphics fidelity at 30fps or 60fps frame rate in the options menu, I’ve chosen the frame rate boost as it makes the driving and handling feel so much better and it still looks sharp and pretty too despite me thinking it was going to be a significant visual downgrade compared to the fidelity option.
I managed to get this game for 22 quid on black friday which is what I think a remastered game like this should cost considering the not so significant boost in visuals and at the price I paid it’s an absolute steal.
If you enjoyed any of the NFS games from this era such as Rivals and Most Wanted you will definitely enjoy this and if you can get it for 20-25 then you’ll get your money’s worth out of it for sure!
Bought this game when it first came out years ago still a great game and at a great price but the best part is the great service from the seller item came the very next day as stated thank you.
Not bad, easy to pick up and play, looks alot better than the original, can race against and with friends.
Crossplay is advertised which you can, but no voice chat is available unless on same console
NFS Hot Pursuit Remastered is a breath of fresh air in its simplicity and efficiency. The game cuts the nonsense and lets the player focus entirely on racing. I do miss travelling to events sometimes and am actually one of the few defenders of the Need For Speed storylines. Still, it would add very little here and I must say the graphics and driving are smooth and satisfying. I’ve already punched the air several times as I charge past a rival on the final straight or take a gold in a time trial by a fraction of a second. With a good 30 hours of content, working multiplayer and a very reasonable price point this game is a strong addition to the franchise and a festive gift for fans.
I do hope Criterion don’t completely ignore the Ghost Games Era in the future, Rivals, 2015 and Heat all showed potential and I’d love to see them build on that in future games rather than rely on nostalgia.
