The instruction leaflet as missing Fig 3 and spelling mistakes also, putting the 2 halves together it says about egg shape ??? what you need to know is fit the external slot into the inside slot ( not clear from instructions) I did get it together finally and it works OK and did the job but it is heavy after using for several minutes

This is a well made product and mine works great. I have used it to cut a lot of headge row and it does the job. Its a big hedge trimmer on the end of a long pole, that makes it heavy to use. My arms were pretty wrecked by the end of a mornings work. Great value, excellent product but they are all heavy – Weight is a big consideration when buying a long pole trimmer.

It hasn’t broken yet which makes it the first hedge trimmer under 100 I’ve bought that hasn’t. But then I’ve only used it a few times… I’ll keep you posted.

So far so good… it’s a hedge trimmer that trims my hedge… go figure.

Now if it could mix a mojito…

Well worth the money. Adjustable length to reach where you need to. It will be front heavy because of the motor but having used petrol pole trimmers this is a lot easier to use and a lot lighter. For the money you can’t go wrong.

So Great Product for those 7ft high and 5ft wide hedges like mine and cut down the cutting time a lot from traditional clippers. Yes Its Heavey if used held for some time but not as heavy as others. I am in my Late 50’s and completed my full hedge cut in 1 session. Great Product with great value price and does the job well.

Cut two very long tall hawthorn hedges with no problems at all. The pole is one pf the lighter poles I have tried. It comes with a strap to help support it, my advice is take it off and don’t use it I find much easier to use. I have a shoulder injury and find the pole light enough to use.

Quite a good product, and relatively easy to use. Excellent long reach meant cutting foliage which hadn’t been reached for years.

Bought to cut high hedge and save me getting ladders out, easy to assembled, long mains lead, only drawback is its weigh

  13. LinwoodTQTQ says:

Easy to use and cuts well even the thicker branches. Although one of the lighter makes it still proved heavy at long reach after periods of continuous use. I improved the balance and support by fitting the top adjustable shoulder strap clip clamp higher up the telescopic shaft. To do this you can easily remove the adjustable clip clamp from its factory fitted position and fit it to a suitable higher position on the telescopic inner top pole. This pole is slightly smaller in diameter so you need to shim the clamp to ensure when tightened is secure.

Bought this to replace the G tech which could barely cut a twig in the end.

This is a brilliant tool in comparison.

The only negative is that it is heavy to reach with if you use it for a decent amount of time hence the 4 stars.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis product is so good. I read loads of reviews about it being really heavy when extended because the trimmer mechanism was at the endbut what do you expect from a long read trimmer?!?! Anyway, it’s not that heavy and it’s so easy to use. We didn’t even need to use a ladder for our really big silver birch out the front of our house and even a petrol one that we rented last year didn’t reach the top. Well worth it, and don’t listen to the silly reviews about it being heavy when out. I’m a fairly slight female and I can use it.

  22. Anonymous says:

This is an easy product to use. Maybe a tad heavy when fully extended but well within the capability of a regular human.

  23. Anonymous says:

     United Kingdom

I bought this in expectation that it would be no lightweight, but was impressed by the extra height that it offered.
The delivery was quick, assembly easy and performance was fine. It cuts through most things with ease.
But a couple of hours cutting can take it out of you and a hot Radox bath (other soothers are available!) was a requirement.
Don’t let this put you off, but be aware of it.

  24. MiguelZeigler says:

In use the trigger is at one end by the handle and the weight is at the other end. It is awkward to use and becomes tiring after a time. It’s OK if you’re strong.

  25. Anonymous says:

     United Kingdom

I understand that the weight seems greater relative to length so the tendency is to take hold further up the pole however this means the controls are out of reach. It appears well made and does the job although with regular periods of rest.

Excellent cutter would benefit having a handle halfway up the handle.

Feels a bit plasticky but that could be a blessing because it is much lighter than my old one (Eckman)
I bought the a corded model because I only need a pole trimmer a couple of times a year for some bushes and it was a cheaper option . Used it at the weekend and it did the job fine . Probably not for the bigger garden but did what I needed

Bought this product to replace an old worn out cordless Gtech pole hedge trimmer. Never really rated the Gtech trimmer from day one. And this new replacement out performs the Gtech in the power department easily, (still not the most powerful, but good enough). It really is a whopper fully extended, and reaches all those high and awkward areas my short trimmer fails to reach. I’ve now used it several times. When I first started using it I thought it too heavy and regretted the buy, but I persevered with it and gradually it got better. You seem to work out different techniques of dealing with just how heavy it is the more you use it. Having said that, the only downside of this trimmer I can find is the weight of the thing, which I’ve sort of got used to, and I’m glad I bought it now.

  30. Anonymous says:

     United Kingdom

Great product. Slices through hedges and bushes like a knife through butter and and it extends to a fairly decent length to reach the higher foliage. Only downside is that all the weight is at the top end. There is a thin support strap that I have yet to work out how to use which may help a little. But I have a physical job and am reasonably fit and strong and yet by the time I had finished using this I felt like I’d had a major workout!

Only used this once so far but it did the job well, for a long hedge it could get a bit heavy at full reach

A fantastic garden tool for those hard to reach places.

The strap is not the best, it could do with a padded shoulder strap.

Bought this to control 10ft hawthorn hedge at the rear of the garden. I noted a used/as new version advertised and bought that, it had minor marks on the blade protector but otherwise seems perfect. The unit assembled easily and was lighter than expected, however with a 2-3kg motor at the end of a 2.7m (8ft 10in) shaft it is still somewhat cumbersome, but with the assistance of the support strap it is still more manageable that the Ryobi 2m unit it is replacing. (I am 74yrs old with back problems). So strapped in off I went, magic, it reached all the areas I wanted and cut all suitable sized branches with ease. Added bonus I found was the length adjuster was so easy to use I could use it at all levels. Very happy with my purchase.

  35. ChastitBxj says:

If you want a no fuss hedge trimmer, easy to use, not too heavy, then this is for you. If you want a monster tree trimmer then spend another 150 and get a Bosch or Ryobi. For most, this is a great trimmer and easy to use with a long cord and simple controls. For the money, it really is great.

  36. Anonymous says:

     United Kingdom

Extended hedge trimmers are always a little on the heavy side but this one is about the best I’ve had.
Assembly took me approximately three minutes…..simple, with no tools required.
Easy extension of the Aluminium pole with nice screw locking collars to keep the pole at the required length.
If you don’t want the cutting head straight out and want it on the angle instead then this can be done in seconds by pushing in two large black buttons on the head unit which in turn allows you to adjust the head to the desired angle for cutting.
In short a nice piece of kit that I would recommend.

  37. KatheriMkl says:

Love this trimmer as its agile for cutting different angles.
Strong blades allow you to cut deeper than leaves level.
Easy to put together. Value for money.
Only negative is that its heavy but does feel well built.

  39. Anonymous says:

The hedge cutter is fine but you couldn’t work with it for to long as the head is a bit heavy in certain aspects but if you use the strap in certain ways it’s not to bad , needs a bit of getting used to.

I bought this because my petrol powered pruner was getting way too heavy for me and I wasnt disappointed its light and very easy to use it has an impressive reach and the cutting blade is sharp and delivers a good cut. overall a very good product…the only drawback! Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI am very happy with this product. It is not the world’s most powerful trimmer …. because it is a fairly light one on the end of a long stick … so this is very much as expected.
It allows me to do the top of a 10ft + leylandi hedge – mostly from the ground, but with the blade at an angle reach the far side by standing on a small stepladder.
As expected it takes a little bit of strength if not close to vertical, but it is fine. (I’m 65 and not athlete!).
“Does what it says on the tin”. 🙂

I bought this to replaced my old long reach pole trimmer so was not expecting any surprises. It is true that the weight of a pole trimmer can be a problem if you are of slight build. I did find however that the Netta was lighter and easier to use than my previous trimmer (surprisingly so for me, as the motor on this trimmer is at the top of the pole and the motor on my old German made trimmer was at the bottom). I also found that the Netta got to places that my previous trimmer couldn’t get to without the aid of steps. All-in-all I am very satified with this purchase.

As per other reviews the weight is at the cutting end, so your shoulders are going to suffer pretty badly.

But I’m super butch – so – you know.

    Cuts well.

Pretty decent piece of kit! It works well and the locking mechanism isn’t difficult to use but it’s heavy to use when on full extension. I have Fibromyalgia so I’m possibly not the best person to be using this but I did manage and didn’t have too much of a kickback from doing it. All in all I would recommend this item to anyone who needs the extra reach, it’s a good price and reasonably well made.

  47. SiobhanEdmonds says:

It is not heavy to pick up but it is heavy to use after a while. In my experience with this type of cutter they are all heavy. Getting a good balance with the handle and the strap is important. Thankfully I read a review suggesting the wearing of gloves because of the safety catch. They were right it does ‘bite’ so be prepared. It does a reasonable job but the one I have does not cut through branches of more than 0.5cm.

Easy to assemble. Cheapest extendable hedge trimmer on Amazon. Surprising how quickly I filled my green bin with cuttings from my conifer tree. From the ground I managed to cut half way up the tree without the use of ladders. Yes, it is a little top heavy when fully extended, but I am really pleased with the product and would happily recommend it. I would suggest that any extended hedge trimmer is going to be top heavy when fully extended. Don’t let that put you off.

My husband was really pleased with this item and has already used it to trim number of trees and bushes which are hard to reach in our garden as well as an overgrown hedge. The strap assists in using the item. It arrived very quickly, well packed and was easy to assemble.

This is a nice quality piece of machinery. It has a good long reach, the different angles it can turn to is very good , it also cuts very well. My one concern is it is very top heavy, as the motor drive is at the top, and as I’m getting on in age I had to do the work in stages otherwise my arm’s ached like crazy

  51. EthelPaquette says:

I bought this “Long Reach” hedge trimmer because I’ve been warned off using ladders following a couple of falls off one on a sloping garden area! The new machine was convenient in use, so I’m now quite an easy-going trimmer of high-ish hedges. My thanks to both maker and seller of my new garden helper.

Product as described. Prompt delivery. Assembly straightforward. Limited use to date but I do agree with other reviewers that the item is heavy to use due to the motor position at the cutting head. However, I purchased the item fully aware of the potential weight issues and not withstanding this, I consider the purchase to be value for money and would recommend the item to purchasers whose budget considerations override the physical and practical issues of using the item.

Got this to tackle some high hedges. It works well and reaches those hard to cut spots. As other reviewers say, it is heavy at the cutter end, so it can be strenuous cutting with the pole at an angle. But it gets the job done well and is powerful enough to trim its way though without labouring.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersVery good value for a robust versatile hedge trimmer, strong and extremely good quality and fully adjustable. Only one comment can be unbalanced when fully extended but if your prepared for the weight distribution it’s not a problem. Found it sufficiently powerful to trim laurels, ivy, holly hedges and even trim my Conifer trees.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersBefore I bought I had read the reviews especially about it being too heavy especially in horizontal mode as the motor is on the front but as the reviews were generally good I went ahead and purchased. I found that the motor was quite light and really gave me no problems. After a time of course your arms will ache but that is normal and you just rest for a couple of minutes and carry on. The trimmer works very well and I have encountered no problems so far.

Golden Review Award: 13 From Our UsersLike all long reach cutters with motor at the cutting end heavy to use in a horizontal plane, I added a handle off an old strimmer which really helps ( see photo) excellent to use in vertical plane as having trigger and safety switch in same place at the bottom allows you to use it at full arms length, seems good value for money but not sure how long it will last.

heavy to use in horizontal plane, good value, cut my 15ft high hedge without ladders no problem

I am a 5ft 3″ female of 67 years and managed to tame a 7ft 6″ ivy fence with this. I bought a 4 point harness to help with the weight distribution. It was heavy work, but I felt safe with it. I bought this to tackle some high/wide hedges, with the pole extended and the strap in position this cutter takes away the strain and risk of over stretching associated with a standard cutter. the only thing I have noticed so far is it doesn’t give a really neat cut of larger leave hedges.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersThis is an excellent tool at a brilliant price. Golden Review Award: 59 From Our UsersWith some 14ft high (woody) hedges to contend with I normally hire a Stihl Pole hedge trimmer from a local company at 49 a time. This time I researched my options and happened upon the adjustable Netta Pole trimmer. I wanted a reasonably powerful tool with the capability to cut through a minimum of 16mm woody branches, whilst not being so heavy that it is unusable. The Makita 18v LXT was on my list but the batteries made it just too heavy. I saw a few German reviews that seemed positive and as it was only 68, if it only worked for Two rounds of cutting, I was “quids-in”.

At this price, there is little to complain about, however there are some words of caution before you purchase this item.

1). The motor unit is at the cutter end which makes it quite heavy at full extension. Anyone with a modicum of upper- body strength should have little issue. It’s not much more unwieldy than a petrol trimmer though.
2). The strap is pretty useless and the trimmer is best held with the handle against your waist, as a pivot, and making arcing sweeps with the other hand.
3). You will need a decent extension lead and a Residual Current Device (RCD) to be safe.
4). There is no tip protection on the cutting blades meaning you have to be extra careful around walls etc.

Otherwise, I am impressed and completed the job in just over half the time of when I use a petrol cutter. Just allow some extra time for delivery as it comes from abroad.

    Highly recommended.
