I now have four Netvue cameras and have been happy with my purchases all from Amazon, the first time setting up the wifi was a bit fiddly but after four times it’s relatively easy, the reason I have four is that after my first purchase a few years ago the camera is still working fine on the outside of my shed and my indoor camera 2nd purchase just keeps on going. Picture quality for the price in my opinion ( unless you pay hundreds ) is very good and I personally have had no issues, apart from spiders webs when the camera goes IR you need to give the camera lens and lights a brush to remove them.once a week. This particular camera has improved my coverage at the front of the house and so far it’s excellent I mounted not far from an LED motion flood light which obviously if activated helps tremendously with the camera recordings at night and the pan and tilt is a great asset in being able to watch any part of the drive and door along with 85% of the down stairs windows whilst away from home I am a verified purchaser and hope my opinions on the this camera and in general Netvue products helps in my experience

This is a decent quality video CCTV camera for the price. Mainly purchased as reviews were good regarding set up and image resolution. I can honestly say I have not been disappointed. The instruction and set up using WiFi is easy to follow and the image resolution and night vision is clearer than I expected. It has pan and tilt function which allows you to choose the areas you wish to cover along with speaker and motion detection. Option to use SD card and the app is easy to download and install. Unit itself feels very well made the overall fixing process is fairly simple to follow and set up. Really pleased especially with the clarity of the image quality. As always the case, the visibility of the CCTV camera itself is a major deterrent to potential criminals.

This is a camera that does everything you can ask, it was easy to set up (plug in and it worked first time), the day and night quality is great and the ability to move it to see different angles is easy to use too. I’ve paid a lot more in the past for non-NetVue products that do not work nearly this well!

If you’re not a NetVue customer, it’s worth knowing they have great customer service too – real people and really quick helpful service!

Loved it. Delivery was on time. The product was well packed. It looked strong and capable of doing good work.

The camera itself seems pretty good. The only physical issue is the multi cable connection if you wanted to feed it through a wall, you would have to drill a pretty big hole!
The movement is in pretty big jumps which feel really nasty, there is no real precision. You cannot point it exactly where you want, which is very disappointing.
The app used to allow you to view your entire video history by scrolling up and down, but it has now been split into individual dates, which is a plus and negative in one. The developer should give the users the option on how they want to view the footage as they do on the apple version of the app.
I do find the footage is a bit jumpy at times (can be at any point in the day).
This feels like a great attempt at a pan and tilt camera, but this really should be the beta version!
So would I recommend or buy again, well maybe and no. If you can put up with the gripes then maybe buy one (on offer preferably) but I certainly wont buy another.
A note to the manufacturers, you really should reach out to your customers. There are loads of people who would give you feedback. We all want a decent reasonable quality affordable camera. No one expects a professional level camera for the price of this one. But a smooth positioning system can’t be that hard to supply.

This is probably the most entertaining thing I have bought in years.
I bought it to see who was nicking all the food on my bird feeder.
Turned out it was starlings and rats. ( I do live in the country)
I love the microphone feature.
I sit and watch the rats creeping up to the feeder and just as they get there in turn on the microphone and scream at them.
It is so much fun watching them run away.
It keeps me entertained for hours.
The video quality (day or night) is awesome but expect a bit of lag depending on your internet speed.
It’s certainly good for security but if you are twisted like me it’s also good for catching wildlife.

Very easy to install although it was to replace a Netvue Vigil pro so cabling already in place and just a straight swap. Bought it for the benefit of pan and tilt which works great from the app. Can’t comment upon WiFi as it’s hard wired via ethernet cable which is far more reliable. The ‘but’ in the title is because although it’s referred to as Super HD 3mp there’s no real discernable difference in picture quality between this and the 1080 HD Vigil pro camera it replaced replaced and pinch zoom quality is the same as the Vigil pro ie blocky. For me however is was always going to be a bonus if the image quality was better because it was bought very largely for the pan and tilt feature. Night vision however is brilliant and a step up from the Vigil pro

Fantastic build quality and great general performance. Very easy to install and works well. My main gripe is that the night vision performance on this one is very poor for me. I have another Netvue camera which is pin sharp in almost pitch black but this one doesn’t come near that level of performance. It is good in low light though. I suspect it may be a dodgy model I have
Other minor gripes – my SD card seems to get corrupted after a data usage got some reason and needs to be reformatted and it would be good if the mic would shut off when the camera is moving so you don’t hear a whirring noise in the app (although in fact the camera is nearly silent when you are next to it and I use it to watch wildlife successfully without disturbing them. All in all though a great little unit!

Update: had this a few months now and still working really well. The corrupted SD card issue still occurs from time to time but apart from that it has been very reliable.

That happy with it, I have ordered one for the rear of the house.
