I had left the Netvue camera completely discharge before installing the solar panel. Even though it was an extremely cloudy day with no sunshine at all for the next 3 days, the camera was completely operational within a short time and was completely charged within the 4 hours left until it was completely dark outside. It has been at 100% ever since.
Easy install. It gives me more camera “up time” than I got when I had to remove the feeder and take it in to charge I noticed after plugging and Un plugging a couple of times that there is a tight fitting usb cap made into the larger access cap. I still try and unplug it after a day of charging but I forgot and left it plugged in during a rainstorm and it did not leak and damage the unit. Be aware that it does not connect to your phone while it is actively charging.
Simple to mount and connect. Works perfect. Keeps my birdfy bird feeder cam fully charged. Very pleased.
Camera is good quality. Did have a slight issue with the picture but Netvue resolved very quickly. As with all my other Netvue cameras (5) I’m happy with all of them.
This camera is unbelievable value. Very high performance on its back to quality and night vision, allowing the user to zoom in and retain very good quality images. What I’m most impressed about however is the battery life. I enable my cameras for motion detection, recording, and the battery life on a full charge is approximately four months!
The camera is also equipped with strobe light and an option for voice announcement or siren, manually or on motion detection. High spec, I’m delighted.

We wanted to have a camera to cover the front drive and to see anyone who comes to our door. This camera was easy to set up and soon had a picture via the app. Good clear pictures. We had a small problem with the fixing, the screw bracket didnt hold the camera in the desired position. I got intouch with Netvue and they sent me a replacement bracket which solved the problem, so good customer service too

I already have two Netvue indoor Orb cameras that perform very well. I wanted an outdoor security camera to monitor the rear of my property but without the need for an electrical supply. I decided to buy the Vigil Plus because of its long battery life.
At first look one is impressed by the feel and build of the camera giving the impression that will stand up to all weathers.
I initially charged the camera for 10 hours before going through set up that was very straight forward as I already had the Netvue app on my phone. I mounted the camera at the bottom of my garden which is 14m (45ft) from my wifi extender and the camera picked up the signal with no problem. I would say that it takes a little longer to connect to the app than my two Orb cameras but that is probably due to the different technologies. As it is a slightly heavier camera due to the two batteries one needs to have a secure mounting place but the screws supplied worked just fine for me.
The picture quality for both day and night is great and the camera also has the facilty to use white light that provides a colur picture at night. I fitted a 32gb micro sd card which can record and notifies me of any movements, plus a short video of the event. Movement can also be set to trigger the light and siren. One can also view live footage and during that time take a snapshot or video which is sent to your phone. One can sign up to the Netvue Protect online service which has addititional motion detection filters and 60 day video storage. As this only costs $1.99 per month for one camera I may well take advantage of the free one month trail to evaluate how useful it would be to me.
It is great to have the flexibility to mount the camera in other positions when the need arises or even use it internally.

Night vision is very clear, you can add colour to night vision, picture and motion detection are spot on.

This is a very good battery powered camera at a budget price. Picture quality is excellent for a1080p camera and battery has held up well so far.
Two nice touches are the light which can be switched on and off remotely and the alarm sound from camera itself.
The SD Card allows continuous monitoring and playback on the app.
At present Alexa is not supported but hopefully this will be included at a later date.
Because it is a battery powered camera there is a small time lag for it to open in live view.
All in all if you need a battery powered camera this would be an excellent choice.

This solar panel charger makes re-charging the Netvue camera super easy. I can place the camera up and out of the way and not be concerned about climbing a ladder to re-charge batteries.

Very very easy to install and connect to the wifi. We have split our banding so the cameras can run on 2.4ghz and all our other devices run on 5ghz.

Perfect little camera to set up! Great features and perfect you can run it off an SD card
The item arrived from the supplier quickly, very well packaged. I think its a sign of a manufacturers confidence in a product if its packaged well. The camera itself has a very sturdy, quality feel about it. It appears that good quality products were used in its manufacture, including the mounting, although I would suggest using your own screws instead of the cheap ones that came with it. They are a soft alloy and the heads ‘chew’ very easily.
Setting the camera up was easy. it only took a couple of minutes, certainly easier than other cameras I have used in the past. The batteries took a while to fully charge, but they are high capacity. There is also an option to use a solar panel, which can be bought separately.
I mounted a 128mg SD card in the camera. my first attempt at formatting it was unsuccessful, I put this down to the brand of card. Be aware, some brands are more compatible than others.
Picture quality is more or less on a par with other Netvue products I have used, not quite as sharp and there is a slight fisheye effect from the lens. But its no big deal.
Motion detection is very quick and alerts are sent to the app on my phone virtually straight away.
Connection between the App and the live view feature on the camera is slower than my other cameras, this could be a software issue though.
The camera has a couple of other cool features such as colour pictures at night and an audible alarm.
My only issue, is the software, no option to select/mask unwanted zones, this is pretty standard on most decent cameras now, maybe this is to ‘encourage’ people to spend extra on the month A.I option?, also, the U.I isnt the same as the others in my Netvue collection, which are very user friendly. I would suggest changing this and keep the same format across the range. Only a minor issue though.
One thing I would like to mention is the excellent customer service/support I received from the company when I contacted them about an issue with finding the video clips (my fault for looking in the wrong place) I have always found the customer support very good from Netvue.
Bought for my stepdad, he started getting into a healthy lifestyle and bought himself a new bike unfortunately it was stolen, luckily the insurance paid for a new one. This camera is facing his new bike and he can keep an eye on it wherever he is… clear picture and easy to install
We use our cameras to monitor our dog activities as well as any deliveries or movement that take place. The motion detection feature is very reliable even at the ends of our property. (1 acre). Night vision images are picked up on camera as well.
The instructions and setup of the cameras was quite easy! Things were up and running in short order. WI-FI access and website support has been positive. Adding a solar panel was simple and quick. This solar panel is both great at angling and getting enough power to keep devices at a fully charged state, I haven’t noticed the battery go below mid-90%’s yet at night when there is no solar powe, but charges back up to 100% the next day. GREAT SOLAR PANEL!! 5/5!!

Great Security Camera at a really good price – I purchased two and have not been disappointed.
Cannot fault great cameras linked to your phone. Great images, long life battery and provided your broadband is good work well. Only down side not really good for videoing as have small sim cards.
I like the concept of this camera, we’re all trying to go wire free, it’s got good signal strength, placed it in a place, other cameras wouldn’t stay connected, and it hasn’t had any drop outs, whilst watching my bird table, even though there are those crimes who use WiFi Scramblers. The real daylight look of the night vision is great, full colour. I haven’t talked through it yet, but listening to the bird song is very clear. It’s got different software to the other Netvue camera’s i own, but is easy to use, a good user interface. I would have preferred video rather than pictures, but the box around the object, is nice to know what activated the cameras motion sensor, but it tells you that the neighbours cars are there all day, without them moving, therefore I’m recharging the camera every 9-12 days. Everytime i put it back after charging it gets harder to get it to stay in position, so I might have to buy a solar panel so I don’t have to keep taking the camera down to charge it. All in all a very well thought-out device with excellent vision, day and night.
It was a bit of a fiddle to set up the app and it can be a bit slow to open when it senses someone is there. Otherwise it is working fine.
Happy to buy that product, image and video is crystal and clear. Even increase video size to watch clearly. 100% Recomendation for others to buy.

I already have two of these cameras on my home which are brilliant and work great & very clear. I therefore bought another two, although these have no wires so can be moved should the need arise in the future, like moving home.
I love that I can watch from wherever I am via my phone. I can watch not just my door but my drive to keep an eye on my car.
As I have deliveries when not home the one round the back can see who leaves my parcels in my shed.
The picture is very sharp which makes faces easy to identify.
The camera can also video areas you request it too to enable you only record on your own property should neighbours object. Mine don’t as they’re happy to have free security.
These cameras are of a very high quality. Your money will certainly not be wasted on them. Highly recommended to buy.
I already have 3 NetVue wired cameras and these work perfectly.
There’s one spot outside my house at the rear where I cannot get power to (but I can get WiFi) so it was a bit of a blind spot.
When the battery operated camera came out I picked one up (well, two) and I have to say at 55 each they are a bargain.
It took me 10mins to set each one up, added to my NetVue app and these latest two work with my Amazon Echo Show hub just like the others.
One new feature, which is super useful, is the Sleep function. Because one of the new cameras overlooks my dog run at the rear of the house I didn’t want to be alerted every time one of my dogs moves. With the Sleep function, I can hibernate the camera during the day when the dogs are out, but when they come in late afternoon, I can have the camera switch back fully with motion detection active and know the area is covered by CCTV overnight. Perfect.
Video quality is just as good as my other NetVue cam’s and because there’s no wires needed it took my literally 15mins to install both cameras – just three screws and they were done!
I didn’t go for the solar panel but my idea for charging the cameras, without taking them off the wall, was to buy a USB battery pack, charge that and then plug it in to the cameras while still on the wall. Once the cameras are fully charged, unplug the battery pack and I’m done. Doubt I’ll need to do this often anyways as the battery life is said to be very long.
So far, these are a great addition to my set up.
It was so easy to set up using the Netvue App. As it is battery powered, it basically lets you fit the camera anywhere you want providing your Wi-Fi signal is strong enough. Advantageous as this battery-powered camera doesn’t need to be placed near a power source. It comes fitted with rechargeable batteries which it is claimed will last approximately 8months before a recharge. Time will tell. I noticed that there is also an optional solar panel available separately so it could be a very good green option. No requirement to take the camera inside to recharge the batteries.
This Netvue camera only works with the Netvue App but I had the camera working and installed very quickly. The Netvue App works great and you can easily customise what you need from within the App. The camera links very well with Alexa, my phone and watch so you can receive notifications in real-time when there is a camera detection. For example, I can see the camera live feed on all my Amazon show devices. You just need to install the Alexa skill. The only downside for me is that you cannot see footage on your PC.
The picture quality/clarity is very impressive. At night I basically like the fact that the camera has two modes of operation, namely “White light mode and Infrared mode. Basically this camera gives enhanced Night Vision so you can easily see everything in very clear detail which is superb. I particularly liked the White Light Mode. The camera Motion detection is good, so you can change sensitivity and which parts of the vision view are detected.
If this Netvue camera performs well then I am sure to add further cameras to my setup. You never know I might even buy a solar panel to keep the camera running.
In summary Very easy to set up, Night vision is much better than I expected and it’s value for money.
I found this is a good camera at this price range. I bought this for my back garden and it sends me a notification when it senses the moment. Night vision is also good.
Its much easier to mount than a cable one. Only thing is when the battery finish’s you need to put it on charge but i have a solar charger so i dont need to take it out. No messy cable or having to make holes for that. Good picture quality and easy to use app.
I already have a couple of the wired external Netvue cameras which have been really useful so was keen to try a battery version. Obviously I don’t yet know how long this will last without a charge but the picture quality and general running is consistent with my other cameras so I’m pleased. This was useful for a spot on the house where I didn’t have the option to drill through to a socket and really didn’t want wiring tracking across the wall.
I tried this as an addition to my existing cameras, which are Netvue but wired.
Having had the camera for a week now, how I wish this was available then, the wired cameras are great but this is so much easier and no need to get a long power cable like I had toso much tidier.
I was worried on the wi-fi connectivity versus the powered version but I needn’t have – it’s fine.

Love it how it blends very well into the white walls. Small form factor and does not look too much out of place. Battery was quick to charge using the included usb cable. Adaptor not provided but that was okay — I had many spare lying around house. It is wire free which is great — no need to drill extra holes or sort out wires for power. It is rated weather proof which is good as we get lot of rain and if no cover on top, then camera needs to have good protection. Set-up on the app was quick — followed by suggested firmware upgrade for the camera — all done wireless. App provides a lot more configuration options and easy to follow. Motion detection works well and sends instant notification to mobile — very handy. Then can go in the app and see Live view as well. Very good little camera with a wide viewing angle.
The picture quality is great, very clear and the app allows me to zoom in without losing picture quality.
The motion detection is very sensitive, but can be adjusted on the app.
Overall it is a superb camera.
I would highly recommend this product.

I have a couple of Netvue cameras & have bought some for family ( Xmas etc) & I have never been disappointed. I purchased this & fitted just under new bedroom window so that when the battery requires charging I can just unscrew & charge up.Suppose that could be a pain in the long run & maybe run a permanent cable to it.It tells you on screen how much power is left so I will see how long it goes in each charge.The picture is HD & I’m really satisfied with the quality.Being portable * no wires you could even take on holiday & use as a baby monitor etc.A great buy but don’t fit where you have to keep getting ladders out to charge that would be a pain.

Brilliant camera, fast delivery easy set up and really clear night vision, all my cameras are Netvue cameras, and they all link to one app, would definitely recommend.
I bought my first Netvue Orb camera in October 2019 and was impressed with the features and quality. Since then I’ve bought a few more Orb cameras and installed several Vigil outdoor cameras around my home. The only downside of all these cameras is getting power to them. When I saw that Netvue had developed a rechargeable camera, I jumped to buy one as I wanted a camera to cover an area of the garden where power is not readily available.
The camera is really sturdy yet compact and can be installed just about anywhere. The Wi-Fi range is very good as it has 2 antennas and the picture quality is as impressive as the Vigil and Vigil 2 cameras I already have.
The camera incorporates a sensor to pick up activity and an SD card records any events detected.
Live view is available at any time.
This camera incorporates all the benefits of Wi-Fi cameras but without the hassle of a power source.
In addition, a solar panel can be connected to keep the battery packs charged.
I’d definitely give this product a 10/10.
I purchased this Wireless Battery Security Camera because it can be installed anywhere where WIFI reception is available. When the package was delivered I had this surveillance camera set up very quickly just by downloading the app for this camera and following the simple instructions in the quick user guide plus I installed a 128GB SD card.
I wanted to have a camera set up on my driveway just in front of the stairs going up to the main level of the house. I have had the camera mounted and operating for 2 days now and have 78 recorded motions and I had the camera motion detection set at the highest setting.
I really like the fact that I can watch live streaming of my driveway from my phone from any remote location. With the 9000mah rechargeable battery, I can leave the camera in place for 6-8 months without having to recharge the battery. The day and nighttime images are crystal clear.
This camera is impressive for its size plus all of the parameter option settings that come with the app.
The best Netvue camera yet, I cannot praise it enough, this is the best Netvue camera to date, think i need to update all my cameras to these 🙂
The stand out feature of this camera is its motion detection. I have had cameras in the past which struggle with motion detection at night, picking up random noise caused by the built in infrared as motion. With this camera, motion detection is done by a built in PIR sensor, rather than using image processing. As a result, I haven’t had any false notifications so far, neither during the day, nor night. That being said, the PIR sensors range seems to be about 5m, so only somebody moving within 5m of the camera will trigger the camera, even though the camera image is capable of seeing much further. This may be a good thing for people living near a busy street though.
The image quality on the camera is good, and I was impressed with the image quality white light to give colour vision at night. I attach an image taken in the dark using the white light on the camera, in an otherwise pitch black environment. This image was also taken during heavy rain, hence the streaks. The option for the white light to come on when the camera detects motion also means it can act as a light to aid with putting keys in the door lock. The inbuilt light is about the same brightness as a torch on a phone, so is suitable for this, though probably not as a security floodlight.
I’ve used the functionality to put an sd card into the camera, meaning I don’t need to pay for the cloud video storage. Video data is saved to the sd card when the camera detects motion (not 24/7). When the camera detects motion, a series of still images are also saved in the cloud (not on the cameras sd card). This means that even if the camera is stolen (along with all the video data on the sd card in the camera), you still would have an images of the person who stole the camera.
Small and light weight bit full of features easy to use and install I have already had 5 netvue cameras and this one was the easiest to set up excellent value for money the picture is taken during the night showing how good these are
On opening, the camera comes with everything you need to install apart from the tools, firstly you will need a small flat blade or a finger nail if you have them, lol, to remove the silicone cover and install a micro SD card, I had a 64gb one to hand but this camera will take up to a 128gb SD card for longer recordings, the micro USB charging port is also inside this cover.
This camera is a very good looking device being compact with clean lines and good protection from the UK’s weather, there are two aerials installed which can be pivoted and it connects to my 2.4g network without a problem, this camera as with many others doesn’t support 5g networks but that I think is mainly due to the range of the 5g being much lower than that of the 2.4g.
Setup is a very easy task using the free Netvue app’ which is installed easily to a smart device. You are guided through the installation and this is done in just a few minutes, I would suggest installing the camera to the app’ before you fix the camera into place as you will need to place the QR code that shows on the smart device in front of the camera. Once paired with the app’ you can fix it to the wall using the supplied plugs and screws, you will find that this will save you time, make sure that you have installed the SD card first.
When I first opened this camera I put it on charge which took several hours to get to a full charge, so in future when it needs to be recharged I will charge it overnight, however on reading the listing this shouldn’t be for several months to come.
This device is truly wire free so installing it is just a case of screwing up the bracket and then fitting the camera to the bracket with the thumb screw nice and tight, thats it, you’re done and ready to record.
Once fixed into place the camera has a simple tilt and pan adjustment for aiming the downwards angle and the direction to where you need your surveillance to be by again loosening the thumb screw and once positioned just tighten it back up.
The HD picture quality from this camera is extremely good although in the settings you can change this to SD for a longer recording on the same space with a slight reduction in the picture quality. You can setup motion recording only to save space on the SD card or have it record constantly if you require full time video for playback, I find that having it set to motion only never misses anything of importance, when recording to the SD card it will automatically overwrite the early recordings that are not saved as the cards space runs out on a continuous loop.
As with my other Netvue cameras the night vision works very well and details can be seen clearly, there is also the option to turn on a spotlight that’s built into the camera should it be necessary. That along with two way audio makes this camera fit all of my needs.
In the settings there are many options for the motion detection such as human only so it won’t trigger alerts or recordings every time a car goes past or when a cat comes into the garden.
As I already have two other Netvue cameras running, I make use of the low cost cloud recording service which when you need to playback a particular day and time, it is easy to navigate to and fast to view, it also can’t be stolen or destroyed like the SD card can, so if the camera were to go missing the recording of what happened will be stored safely in the cloud.
This is compatible with Alexa so I can view the live stream anytime on an Echo Show just with a voice command, this can be a little slow to connect but that’s due to it having to run through multiple servers before it gets back to my Echo device.
This is by far the best battery operated security camera that I have tested both for picture quality and for the available features that this has to offer.

I’m a huge fan of netvue cameras already but the addition of this battery powered one to the range immediately piqued my interest. The only downside to other netvue cams I own is the hassle of drilling and running wiring. Well that’s not an issue at all with this camera. Yes, you need to take it away to charge it, or you can plug an extension in and charge it in situ, but that’s so worth it to not have to think about all the wiring.
From opening the box to seeing a picture in the netvue all on my phone took just a few mins in total!
Anyway, onto the product itself. It’s a study built camera, looks like it’ll last outside for a long time, and as with other netvue cams I own I’m sure it will. The picture is crisp, in both day and night mode. The addition of a light is great too so you can see better at night and in colour rather than infrared if you so wish.
I’ve only had this camera for a day so far, but I’m so impressed with it already I just had to write a review!

I’ve been wanting a camera that is much more versatile that a fixed wired model, this will be great in the garden with a solar panel charging the battery, it can be concealed with no wires showing so ideal for monitoring your home ( keeping a eye on your pets )

Great cameras got two already which are wired- this wireless one looks great the quality of the camera is the best one yet I also like the light you can put on it which you can have flash to warn the intruder that they are being watched. Also you can play a Loud alarm on there too. Waiting for a memory card now so it saves clips to watch from the phone.
Next step is definitely a baby camera and the door bell camera.

Night vision is better than expected
Motion detection is good, can change sensitivity and which parts of the vision are motion detected.
Overall i have already recommended these cameras to several people. Which i would not do if not impressed.
Can you get better cameras, most likely but these are good and very easy to set up without breaking the bank.
I got a set of 4. I recommend getting a 128gb sd card. Which needs formatting once in the camera. I did have one of the cameras that wouldn’t format a sd card but i just formatted in another camera and then put in that camera.
