This is a great machine doing a range of things very well and a couple not quite so well. The pressure cooker, grill and air fryer are great. The sear/saute doesn’t get hot enough to properly sear meat so it takes ages to brown . However it is still a good way to prepare food before pressure cooking or slow cooking. I haven’t used the roast or steam facility yet. It is big but then I have been able to get rid of my slow cooker, deep fat fryer and traditional pressure cooker so have saved space all round!
It’s a very good multi-cooker. My wife is in love and says there is just one big no-no. It’s very tricky to clean inside de lid since it’s not detachable. It is in fact a big multi-cooker. If you don’t have much space in the kitchen, this is not for you. Apart from that is a great acquisition.
Getting used to it, I tried one of the quick recipes suggested unsuccessfully. I bought the recommended cook book but needed a basic how to. My muffins were burnt on top and raw in the middle, but my chips are fine
We have not been able to use this properly as it came with no instructions. We contacted the manufacturer who agreed to send us some but that was a couple of months ago and they still haven’t arrived so we have now downloaded some from their website. We bought it to use at our holiday lodge but we haven’t been able to travel and so haven’t used it as much as we had planned. We have used it for roasting and grilling but haven’t used the pressure cooker. It’s all good so far and I’m sure it’ll be a boon at the lodge. Might have to purchase a recipe book to use it properly.
This has replaced my cooker/oven! I cook most things in the Ninja. I mostly use the air fry function and have made a few stews and curries using either the pressure cooker and slow cook function. Easy to use and easy to clean. I have recommended this many family and friends as this machine is multifunctional. Two other family members have also bought this and we share tips and recipes. It comes with a recipe book and I have also joined the Foodi Ninja community. Seriously cannot go wrong especially if bought at the right price like I did during Prime Day! Highly recommend this but I must advise, it is a beast. I put it on top of my cooker top and that’s where it sits. We live in a small flat with minimal surface area to store other machinery. So just need to be mindful of the size of this product and where you will store it when not in use.
I love that it’s so many cooking methods in one as I have a tiny kitchen . Before I started using I binge watched some utube demonstrations and found them very useful it also gave me confidence when I used for the first time . I’ve made soups ( so quick and easy) using the the pressure cooker function cooked a couple of whole chickens and roasted potatoes and parsnips both as good as my oven cooked ones with of course a fraction of the oil and half the time , I loved it so much I bought my son and daughter-in-law one they have cooked steak and chips and so much more it’s a great investment. I waited for the special offer to be on so feel I got a real bargain .
Amazing, does basically everything. Shame there’s no skin friendly handle to get the basket out tho. We bought small silicone mits to use to help which work great. Everything cooks great and very fast, also very easy to clean.
This was bought as a present for sister so I personally haven’t used it. Although my other sister and a friend have the same one and they love it! They highly recommend this product. I would like one myself instead of turning on oven for just me this is the perfect answer.
Great product! This has replaced my old pressure cooker, air fryer and slow cooker so I’ve gained space in my kitchen cupboards.
It took a little while to get used to the functions but now I have, I love it.
It’s super easy to clean on all functions, much better than my old airfryer that was a pain to clean after use.
Good for making soups, tenderising cheaper cuts of meat.Crisper does good chips.Steams veg ok once you get the timing right. It would benefit from a more basic recipe booklet .
I love my ninja foodi , so much so I rarely use my cooker anymore. Love that you can cook from frozen too. Cooks faster and more efficient. Just tricky figuring out cooking times for certain things but a search on Google comes up with answers. Perfect rice every time. Best present eve
I wanted a slow cooker and my boyfriend wanted an air fryer, so we decided to splurge a bit more and get this one after 30 minutes of research. When it came it looked quite bulky for our kitchen, but after a couple of days that wasn’t a problem. We have been using it every day, and I really mean every day, for the past three months.
It saves us so much time! It cooks it very quick, meal prep becomes a 1 hour thing not 2-3 per usual. You can dish wash all the inner pots and baskets.
Of course you have the occasional use of the oven or the stove, however we have even substituted some of those with this machine. If you’re cooking for more than 2-3 people we use the kitchen appliance otherwise it goes in the Ninja foodie.
In a way it doubles our kitchen, if you need to bake 2 desserts, you can bake them seperatly now. If you don’t have enough stove space, you can simmer in the ninja foodie. I really recommend it.
Great for making Healthy chips ok it takes 25 mins instead of 10 but who cares. Pressure cooker function spot on also
I use this ninja every single day! It has almost completely replaced my oven.
It took a while to get the hang of what to grill and what to air fry and I burnt a few things because it cooks so quickly!
It cooks bacon, sausages, hash browns, chips, Yorkshire puddings etc.. to crispy perfection and you haven’t got the hassle of scrubbing oven trays afterwards. The bottom pan and air fry tray are so easy to clean!
The only downside is the grill is hard to clean around the hinges and I don’t know why but the ninja sets off my smoke alarm every time I use it! (it doesn’t produce smoke, so I don’t know why?!)
Aside from that, it is worth every penny.
I hate the pressure lid and you need to be able to store it and the other lid opens sideways. I was not prepared for the weight and size of this product. That said I love it its easy to use if you go onto You tube and watch a couple of vids. The Ninja is easy to clean and every thing that I have cooked has been amazing
Love it. I was, admittedly, reluctant about this product however I couldn’t have been proven anymore wrong than I am now. Its quick and easy to use, shaves cooking time down, saves oven space and lots more unecessary washing up. Healthier and tastier food. A must try and definitely recommend purchasing.
A few things.. I was very excited to get this Ninja and it is a very useful multipurpose machine!
However I wish I’d gotten the bigger one as the amount you can fit in it feels a bit small..
Also it smells a bit plasticky after using it on Air Crisp mode? I don’t know if it’s meant to be like that?
The actual Air Crisped food is amazing though! Beautifully golden. Love using it for chicken and frozen foods.
Pressure cook is great too, does potatoes sooo fast!
Steam was rather disappointing, I felt like it took longer than if I were to just steam things on a hob.. and the amount of steam the machine makes woah crazy. Also it is a pain with the little amount of water you can put in before it touches the rack, so it runs out of water quick..
Not used the other features just yet.
The best appliance I’ve ever ever bought. Great and straightforward to use, mostly easy to clean (except the air fryer lid). I wish I knew how big it was too, but it’s worth the space it takes up
Easy to use when u have mastered pressure cooking instructions! Easy to cook things from frozen & new potatoes cooked in pressure cooker then squashed & crisped rare amazing! Really need to buy ninja foodi cook book as it help with recipes & other tips!
Was dubious when my partner asked me to get this Ninja Foodi. My doubts was blown out of the water. We’ve only had this a week but its amazing. We’ve cooked whole chickens in 38mins, potato wedges in 15mins, roast potatoes, steamed veg. Its such a timesaving piece of equipment.
Don’t know how we coped before with all the pans & roasting pans we used. We haven’t touched the sides with what this Ninja can do
Highly recommended
Great not had a pressure cooker or airfryer before has made cooking quick and tasty. Also with only one pot meals it is great the main dish is easy to clean as nonstick. The airfryer basket is a little more difficult as need to ensure get bits out of the base of it but still easy. I have not put either in the dishwasher. I have bought a dehydrator rack and silicone basket to use. Dehydrator rack can be used to put 3 layers of food if you take a couple of the racks off it so good for other cooking too.
Obsessed with this. I find new ways to cook in it all the time and it definitely speeds things up. Having to change lids is a bit annoying but probably unavoidable! Things I’ve made in it: Katsu chicken, baked potatoes, coq au vin, rice, soup etc
Was nervous to buy this because of being a former slow cooker owner, I found food tasted the same no matter what it was !
I originally wanted an air fryer and considered just getting one, but this one does all I need! Still haven’t used all functions yet, can’t wait to try them all.
I love this gadget. I’m new to pressure cookers and air fryers, but it comes with a recipe book, plus there are lots of recipes and ideas online to get you started. I use it several times.per week now and it’s replaced my slow cooker and rice cooker already. Good for cooking either full meals.or just sides (eg roast potatoes)
It is a bit bigger than I expected but it just lives on the worktop as I use it so often. It is quick to clean which is a bonus.
Got it in a Prime deal so was good value too.
Bought in the sale and immediately expected it to be used half a dozen times and then put in a cupboard! However, it’s really actually quite good, even to my surprise my fianc likes it. Used it so far for things like roasties, rice, curries and comments have always been positive. Literally press a few buttons, put one of the lids on and leave it to it – the only minor negative I would say is it would be good if the noise it makes when the cooking has finished was a bit louder/more distinctive. Perhaps being linked to an app that could monitor it and notify you would be great?!
Loved everything about this item, it looks complicated but is very easy to use, locks in all the flavour of what you are cooking making meals more enjoyable and filling, meals ready in half the time of conventional ovens, and so much less washing up , with only one lot to clean, best buy so far.
Bought this on offer after looking at them for awhile 60 discount. Glad I bought it, its very adaptable.
So far made mini bagel pizzas, braised beef stew (took 45 mins instead of usual 3 hours) and cottage pie !!! Keeps flavour
Lots of other ways to use , grill, saute , pressure, oven etc.
Really good product!! Glad I bought i
I was lost for words. This machine works wonders. Cooked a stew in about 40 minutes. It took longer to prep. And cooking chicken thighs is just out of this world.
Cleaning is so easy and there are so many ways of cooking. Treat yourself. But do not tell anybody you did not cook the chicken on the BBQ
I can’t get over how versatile and easy this machine has made my kitchen. Easy to use and online hunting supplies you with endless recipes. I’ve yet to find something I can’t cook in it. I wish I knew about it sooner. A true Best Buy!
Absolutely love my foodi! Its so simple to use and the food comes out perfect every time. I now use it ever Sunday to cook our whole chicken as it takes roughly 50mins or so dependant in size ! It tastes so moist and tasty every time. Highly recommend
We got this Foodi after yet again our Tefal Actifry broke, this was our 3rd & they rarely seem to last more than a couple of years, after some research & with the bonus of a prime day deal we bought our Foodi.
Firstly we did have a real problem getting anything to crisp, fries / chips took forever, the pressure cooker worked extremely well but the aircrisp & bake functions we’re not returning results, luckily after watching some users youtube reviews we realised that the fan wasn’t working (the unit was totally silent), when we interrupted a cycle the fan was still totally still & making no noise during operation, we reported this to Amazon who replaced the unit the very next day so hats off for service.
So Secondly, now with the new unit fully operational I’m happy to report that the aircrisp function is working perfectly & we once again have crispy fries, Ribs were done to perfection, a quick pressure cook finished with an aircrisp had a perfect textured meat falling off the bone with tonnes of flavour.
For an all round machine these are amazing, really hoping that long term it proves more reliable than a Tefal then I’d know it was perfect!
It’s an amazing machine however I would strongly recommend to check if you have in the kitchen worktop without any wall cabinets as when you need to open it I assure you it needs a lot of room for lid to be lifted (as presented on the photos). I was well excited about it and I defo recommend it however you need to make sure you have a good size kitchen for it. Nicely air fry things and cook 🙂 I would defo buy it again!
It was purchased for my son who absolutely loves it. He works long hours so it’s convenient to cook enough for several meals. The flavour of the meals has been lovely. He can do so much with it. He’s very impressed
Honestly I have never been more glad to have an appliance. We barely use the oven anymore. It’s especially convenient for cooking the kid’s dinner without all the faff!
recommending it to everyone I know so much that it’s got to the point where I think I should get a commissio
Absolutely love this it is simple and easy to use and does everything you want in one machine , I liked it that much I have bought the double drawer ninja to go along with this so now I don’t need any other machines in the kitchen , actually got rid of my slow cookers chip fryers, Tefal , and bread maker coz these do the lot , just brillia
As with other reviews, don’t underestimate how big this beast is. Photo shows the pressure cooker lid in place, this needs to be stored separately when not in use. That aside this Ninja is excellent with so many ways to cook. Very easy to use and excellent results so far…. chicken & steak … perfectly cooked. So if you have the space, I’d fully recommend.
Wow what a good piece of kit, I pressure cooked a 1.1kg chicken in 22 minutes then 15 minutes on air crisp to perfection, also done steak with fries in about 12 minutes, easy to clean no mess or smell. It is very fast at cooking so you do need to check your food regularly until you get used to it (eg fresh corn on the cob 5 minutes) you will not be disappointed with this piece of kit .
Words cannot express how impressed I am with my Ninja Foodi Multicooker 6L with 7 functions. I was a little apprehensive because I’d never pressure cooked before, but doing the water test really helped me get used to the quick release vent and to stop being scared of it. First thing I cooked was fries, and they were cheap Iceland frozen ones and they turned out to be the best home cooked “oven” chips I’d ever had! No oil too, so it makes it much more guilt free! Also, I live in a 2 bedroom flat with quite a small kitchen. This ninja foodi is a big boi. I’m happy with it though because it sits on top of my hob, and i now no longer really need to use my oven/hob because I can do everything so much quicker and easier in the ninja. I’ve had it 4 days and it is amazing, I’ve cooked so many things in it even a double chocolate chip cookie. I recommend getting an 8inch cake tin as well as joining some ninja foodi fb groups which are really good for recipes and tips. It’s also super easy to clean and really quiet. The fact that it has halved cooking time is amazing, and it replaces all other little appliances like a slow cooker/air fryer because it does it all. I am so impressed – 10/10 from me!
This is amazing. I was sceptical but this has turned out to be unbelievable. It does everything. The pot is the best non stick utensil I have ever come across. Just buy it!
One tip- make sure the rubber seal is fully seated before using i
A great machine. I admit I saw this on offer and all the grest reviews, plus I was not the one going to use this.
Personally I do not think it is that heavy, but it is pretty big and deep. We can definitely fit a whole chicken in it. We used the feature for 1 kg of chicken breast and they came out juicy. We used it for frozen oven chips they came out perfect. We even used it for frozen pizza and it came out perfect. Thus this is awesome.
Love it, I already had a pressure cooker but my actifry was on its last legs so I figured I would get a foodi as it does both jobs.
Its relatively easy to use if you have already used a pressure cooker, if not the book explains it pretty well & you can always watch videos online as well if needed.
Would definitely recommend.
Day 1 cauliflower crisp
Day 2 roast chicken
Excellent results
The unit is huge… and it has to remain counter top it is not easily stored.
So only buy it if you are going to use it every day!
Brilliant appliance for a small kitchen. It can do pretty much everything you can throw at it. Steaks are perfectly cooked as are casseroles, stews and roast dinners. The pressure cooker works great too. The touch controls are very responsive and easy to use and everything is easy to clean. There are other useful additions to the Ninja Foodi for baking etc.
I bought this Ninja about two months ago and I’ve not stopped using it. We use this machine at least once a day! It’s amazing. Cooks amazing fried chicken, whole chicken, stews, soups, frozen and homemade chips, jacket potato’s, bacon….the list goes on. The pot and the basket are easy to clean out and so far nothing has stuck to them. I just hope this Ninja machine can put up with this constant use, time will tell.
Firstly all I will say is if you can afford to get the next one up then go for it. I have absolutely no complaints about this foodi other than my own stupidly. The next one up has a dehydrate function that I would have found very useful. Other than that, this foodi is an absolute gem! I have made so many lovely meals and cakes and I’ve only had it a week! Perfect roast and crispy chicken, perfect pulled pork. Honestly this machine does it all for you at the push of a button or two! I’ve hardly used my stove since getting it! LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!
We bought this after seeing a review of new style pressure cookers on This Morning program.
We like the idea of pressure cooking because of the speed it cooks and how it locks in the moisture but didn’t like the old-fashioned pressure cooker my Mum used to own.
We were on our second air fryer which was starting to look a bit worn and tired, so rather than replacing it with another, we decided to have a Ninja Foodi cooker that can pressure cook, air fry, steam, slow cook, saut, grill and roast.
We started off with my favourite which was pork shoulder. We cooked it for 15 minutes from frozen using the pressure cooker, then air fried it for another 15 minutes. The pork was cooked to perfection and the crackling was so crisp.
We have just cooked a whole fresh chicken, and it cooked it so well, and in only 30 minutes.
It is slightly larger than our old air fryer, but it is very stylish and makes a great addition to our kitchen.
The only (very small) downside is that when you cook you will need clearance above the Foodi to lift the fixed lid or allow the steam out if pressure cooking, so we simply move it to a clear worktop when cooking.
Took a bit of time for me to cook potatoes for machine, my fault eventually was not cutting them small enough.
I do batch cooking on a Saturday as I work full time. It used to take me all day, with the Ninja it took me 2 hours. If you follow the recipes to the letter it works.
This is probably one of the best purchases I have made that has made my life easy!! I use this everyday almost for most of my meals! It’s easy to use, it sits well on the countertop, the pots and such are dishwasher safe! Just throw in frozen meats and vegs it cooks…I don’t have to prep as much either! Amazing!! And so glad Amazon offered this product with a payment plan!!
I have hardly used my “proper” cooker since I got the Foodi, everything cooks much quicker, and there are so many recipes available for it , very versatile, you can cook bolognese and pasta at the same time, or meat and potatoes. The airfry setting is great for crisp roast chicken or for making chips, Easy to clean, a bit fiddly to clean the heating element if something splashes into it, but not too bad. Great for stews and curries, also great for cooking things straight from the freezer. If you are considering it, buy one, you won`t regret it.
I am actually disappointed now when I have to cook in my oven, this is a game-changer, air fry crispy chicken change the lid and cook rice in the pressure cooker in 4 mins, unbelievable, east to clean and although it’s big it doesn’t look out of place
I bought the ninja wondering if it would be another of those gadgets that sits in the cupboard. So far I have done roast potatoes, they come out crisp and fluffy, casseroles, bread and butter pudding etc. I love it. It reduces oil, which means food is healthier, cooking time, cutting down cost and locks in the flavor.
The pan is easy to clean.
One thing I find a little awkward is the lid change. But that will become easier with more use
I liked the ease of use. We turn our AGA off in the summer months. This leaves us with BBQ and 2 gas rings plus a tiny electric cooker. The Ninja gas plugged all the gaps and we have been delighted with the fact that the one pot can be used as pressure cooker, grill, steamer and the air crisp facility is great.
My one disapointment is that the recipes are all geared to USA styles and contents. It has been fun learning and experimenting with recipes but it would be helpful to have some UK/European style of food recipes with the produc
Absolutely brilliant, I’ve done most things in but yet not baked anything. So easy to use, much better than my tefal airfryer (which broke during lockdown) . So glad I replaced it with this, also emptied my cupboards of a steamer, pressure cooker and slow cooker as this does everything.
Bought this for my partner and I have to say this is possibly the best multi cooker ever. Easy to clean and use. The aircrisp feature makes amazing bacon, sausage, chicken etc. Made a fabulous beef stew in the slow-cooker and used the pressure cooker to finish it in less than 4 hours.
Highly recommended
I have used this as a pressure cooker and air fryer so far and am impressed. Although much larger than I expected it is easy to use and assemble, it takes about three minutes to cook new potatoes and about 12 to cook frozen chips.
Waited a while for my Foodie always seemed to be sold out but finally it arrived. Can definitely say can’t live without it now, barely use my oven now as the Foodie does it all. No mess, little cleaning to do after use. It does everything you want from your cooker but better and faster.
It is a fairly big piece of kit but well built and good instruction manual.
Have recommended to my family and friends.
Love it… my one kitchen product I can’t live without now.
I got this beast delivered over 2 weeks ago as a replacement for my older air fryer and I have used it every single day since. My main oven is almost redundant. Its superb! I’ve cooked a whole chicken – first pressure cooked and then air crisped – perfect in under an hour. I’ve cooked individual chicken breast and pork steaks in 15 minutes. Juicy and tender cooked to perfection. Roastie potatoes and home made fries in 15 minutes. No more hot ovens on for an hour, and no heavy washing up. Veg in minutes – steamed – nice and crunchy. I’ve cooked rice in bulk saving me time and energy. Healthy options all round with little or no fat in most foods. Instructions clear and precise and cleaning the Foodi is a dream. What a great addition to my kitchen and worth every penny. I would highly recommend this Ninja Foodi. Update 6 weeks later I have used it every day since it was delivered and I’m still loving it.
Honestly such a game changer, I have a fairly small kitchen and this takes up the same amount of space as a microwave. I’ve been blown away by how quickly it cooks and the quality of food! I predominantly cook for 1 or 2 people and it cooks smaller portions without issue, you don’t have to fill the whole thing up! I definitely feel more inclined to cook with the ease of this product.
I have had this since last December ie 4 months and used it about a dozen times but unfortunately the silicone seal has split and I can’t source a replacement. Very unhappy with this.
Bought it for my husband for christmas since then he uses it a lot . My goodness it cuts down cooking time and really takes the lengthy stress out of cooking joints . Such a good tool to have in the kitche
I was a bit dubious at first and it was quite expensive but now I wish our kitchen was big enough for us to have 2 of them!! We use it daily, we would never use our oven if we had 2 of them. The only limitation we’ve found is that you can’t use the accessories with the air fryer basket so we bought a separate set which is 7″ pans and grill shelves and also comes with skewers and rack which cooks the best chicken and shrimp kebabs. Also have done roasts started off on pressure cook then finished on air crisp it’s honestly the best we’ve tasted. I absolutely LOVE this machine.
Fantastic device. Recommend to everyone who wants to spend less time in the kitchen and is horrified like me by an amount of pots and pans that have to be washed after cooking. Depending on your cooking skills it is good to follow recipes included with the device or finding some stuff on YT and prepare a great meal in 15 minutes.
I love a kitchen gadget, but this is hands down the best one I’ve ever owned. I’ve now given away my air fryer, rice cooker, pressure cooker and slow cooker because this is excellent at everything. Worth every penny.
We had an air frier for a long time than I wanted a pressure cooker but having both at the same time in the same pan it is just amazing it makes absolutely no noise when in the pressure cooker mode and cooks really fast.
By far the most used item in my kitchen right now
The new kid on the block and it does what it says in the tin. If you want the a to z of its capabilities check out the miriad number of video reviews on YouTube. It’s a pricey beast but as i bought it on Black Friday i give it 5* for value as it was heavily discounted. It’s a well engineered piece of kit that can steam, pressure cook, slow cook, bake , broil, air fry, air crisp and just about anything in between and to boot it’s easy to clean. No degree in rocket science is required either as it’s so easy to select the correct setting, heat and time. Give it a whirl, you will not be disapointed.
I like everything about this machine. It is so easy to clean, everything just wipes off the bowl! I can move from pressure cooking to crisping or baking at a tough of a button. I have sold both my electric pressure cooker and my Airfryer since buying this one. It does it all including slow cooking and baking/roasting. I have hardly used my oven or job since.
This thing is huge, it takes up a.massive space but can only really feed 3 adults. I have trouble storing it and the pressure lid. But it’s replaced my oven and grill. I had a pressure cooker before. It this trumped it. All and all something like this is essential ( electric pressure cooker) if you want to combine the air fryer then you’re paying a premium. I’m glad I did and use it at least twice a week for roasts and hot pots.
It’s hard to get balance of amounts of food bought a ninja cook book but most of recipes aren’t what I’d use it for as u only get a small cook guide book plus I’m new to using it would have been helpful to have been given more info on what quantities match like soups stews etc
Brilliant machine! I have used many cooking devices (slow cookers, airfryers) this is perfect – combines all you need into one machine.
Easy to use, a lot of guides are now available online, makes some complex meals a peace of cake.
First recipe was pork belly, cooked to perfection, tasted great all within 35 mins.
Absolutely love my new foodie. I haven’t used it to it’s full potential yet but I love how big the stock pot is for doing stews etc. It’s quite bulky but it did get rid of my steamer slow cooker and air fryer as it’s an all in one. Everything goes in the dishware too so win win for me.
Most functions work well, although the slow cook action, really is slow cooking. the lo function is very slow, much slower than an ordinary slow cooker. I cooked a chicken stew for 6 hours on slow and the vegs. were not cooked, even though I had diced them very small.
The cooker is a little on the heavy side but performs well.
It takes a little getting used too but easily mastered after a couple of uses.
My only gripe is it has no window to see how the cooking is progressing, and no easy stowage for the separate pressure lid.
Overall very good but no better than using a separate pressure cooker, grill, air fryer, or oven.
If space is your criteria then its a winner.
This is FANTASTIC.
My family also love it, as they’ve been gifted all my Kitchen appliances this has replaced. Halogen Oven/George Foreman/Air Fryer/and Slow Cooker. This thing is amazing and if it wasn’t weird I’d marry it!
Comes with a decent cook book and covers almost every food group with cooking times. I’ve never pressure cooked before, but did a whole chicken in 35mins. (Pressure cooked 25/Air Fryed 10) It was absolutely gorgeous and so succulent.
I was lucky and got it during the Black Friday deal and only payed 129.00, however even at it’s current price it’s definitely worth it.
I cannot stop using it now, this thing has rekindled my love for convenience cooking, and got me back into the kitchen, so much so my local takeaway has closed down! (Joke)
Incredibly versatile, this brilliant piece of kitchen equipment has become the only cooking device I use. My one complaint is that the air fryer hood is not detachable and is in the way when the Foodi is being used as a pressure cooker. As this air fry hood has to be upright when pressure cooking, then the clearance required is much greater. It loses a star for this. Accessories are not so easy to come by either. They are available on the web specifically for the Foodi but as it is still a relatively new device at the time of writing this, third party party manufacturers have not produced much. I am sure that will change. Almost perfect but not quite. Even so I am loving using it. The home made potato wedges recipe that is in the book that comes with it is simple but brilliant.
This machine is a little gem, we bought it to tide us over whilst we were without a working kitchen for a few weeks, it’s not a cheap piece of kit (but we picked it in the Black Friday sale) but it saved us from resorting to takeaways, so paid for itself pretty quickly (a family takeaway can easily cost over 40)
Only thing that really annoys me is that there is no easy way of storing the pressure cooking lid and a lid ‘holder’ to use whilst on use is an extra that costs a ridiculous amount of money.
Atm there doesn’t seem to be a UK suitable cookbook available, so you tube is your ninja Bible.
You’ll need to purchase some silcone utensils and a good pair or oven gloves as well
Love this new ninja foodie I purchased , I bought this ninja to save on down time in cooking also using unnessary usage of electricity from my other devices it does every thing it says on the tin Plus I purchased the ninja cook books get some great ideas and to use it properly great for all occasions , Genuine purchase
A superb bit of kit this. easy to keep clean and use. Cooks really well ; the crisper does chips superbly and the pressure function cooks a chicken in under 20mins to over 86 oC.. then, just crisp it up. Its not failed me so far and ive now bought the accessory kit to add to its versitility.
So I wasn’t sure what this was capable of doing at first. However using it is a doddle. I used separate pressure cookers and slow cookers before, but this brings a whole new meaning to multi cookers. I have done a gammon ham and roast potatoes in it for Christmas dinner this year and I must confess it does better roast spuds than the oven! We eat things that need loads of cooking such as oxtail and stews so having a single item that does both pressure and slow cooking is essential. Those that don’t normally use pressure and slow cookers and air fryers, this will take your cooking to the next level. Standard pressure cooker recipes and times work with no change. The ability to salute and then cook further using the same pot saves on the time and washing up.
Really does what it says on the label. Totally satisfied. I have no hesitation in recommending this product.
I bought it to economise on energy costs now we are only 2 at home. It does that and more. I love love using it, I think what I like best, after the easy clean bowl, is that cooking with my new Ninja saves me so much time.
This is absolutely amazing product and a must have for any dream kitchen.
It has transformed the way we cook as ot as became much easier and quicker
Roast potatoes – crispy, tasty and so quick
Broccoli- like 10min steam and they are perfect
Meat – you name it and it can be done
So so happy with this easy to use and professional piece of kit. We use it almost every day at home
Even husband is cooking with this – rise, chicken breast- no problem
Ninja? More like Godzilla!
You want a pressure cooker that fits the whole chicken and cooks it from frozen in 30 minutes? Well, Ninja will do that, with a few cups of rice and a handful of veg in the same pot. Because why not.
The cooker is *massive*. Don’t think it’s an understatement. We’ve placed it on the kitchen side and it proudly took about 1/3 of it. Now, everytime we walk into the kitchen, it reminds us who’s the boss. Constantly.
What can it do? Err, pretty much everything – from soups, through stews and grilled steaks to cookies. Yes, really. Foodi got you covered whether you need breakfast, lunch, dinner, or dessert. And it will ensure no one leaves hungry.
Easy to clean? Yes! While the grill crate can be a bit fiddly, it’s pure metal so you can stick it in the dishwasher. Everything else is washable by hand. Nothing sticks to it. You have to try pretty hard to burn things in Foodi. And even if you somehow manage to succeed, it genuinely won’t take more than 2 washes to sort it out.
The cooker comes with a thorough manual and a booklet of recipes (very handy!). Doesn’t matter what your food options are – the versatility of this appliance is one of its’ biggest advantages.
We’ve been using it for a good couple of months now and it still greets us with a cheerful beep whenever we turn it on. Electronics in these devices can often fail, but so far we had no issues whatsoever.
To sum up, Ninja Foodi is a fantastic, versatile pressure cooker – and much more; it can grill, it can bake, it can simmer and broil. However, if your kitchen is small, *do not* get it. It really is a huge appliance with multiple additions you *have* to have room for. Otherwise, I recommend it for everyone. Doesn’t matter what your culinary prowess is, you will have to get used to making food in Ninja; but once you do, there is no coming back. You are very likely to make a switch and never use ordinary pots and pans again. I’d give it 10 stars if possible.
Cannot believe how good this item is, while it is bulky and takes up a lot of counter space, it makes up for that with its versatility. Not had it long but have hardly used my oven since having it. The only thing I haven’t used it for is baking
If your in to your gadgets, cooking or otherwise this should be top of your must have list.
Bit fiddly to cook multiple things so they are all ready at the same time. Guess it’s trial and error as some of the components of the meals (mainly vegetables) have been overcooked or undercooked. I am sure we will get there though. Bit of a pain cleaning all of the fiddly parts but again it’s got to be clean! Meat cooked though is very good.
A while back, I bought a cheaper hot air fryer to see how I got on with it and was quite impressed, then Black Friday allowed me to upgrade to this at a great price.
I find that initially I got a bit confused as I was so used to the other one but I use this one out of choice now (yes..I’ve still got the other one!). The bake/roast function doesn’t seem to be spoken about a lot but it’s very good..particularly for roast potatoes.
I also have an Instant Pot pressure cooker and the pot diameter is smaller in that so this is better for a whole chicken etc. although the IP is better if you are only using it for smaller amounts. (again. I still use both)
We’ve used the Cooker through its multiple functions which works ok. Didn’t really see any real benefits in terms of saving time nor taste in food. In fact the chicken tasted more artificial when made in the cooker. Would benefit from more simple recipes being supplied in the box.
Fantastic machine. It let me get rid of my actifry and pressure cooker this dose everything that they can do only better. If you are thinking of buying a pressure cooker I highly recommend this item. You won’t be disappointed.
It is a brilliant cooker. However the buttons seem not very durable. I have been using it for 5 months so far and “off” button is not function properly now. It keeps beeping so I have to switch off from the main. Otherwise it is easy to use and cooker fast. Especially air fry function the heat spread evenly so food comes out beautifully.
Highly recommended
I LOVE my Ninja Foodi! I was a bit nervous at first as I’ve never used a pressure cooker before, but this is so easy! I’ve struggled to find a decent cook book for it, but there are plenty of good recipes on YouTube. There’s also handy tips about how to adapt oven recipes to suit the ninja. Even simple stuff like pasta dishes are easier in the foodie and less washing up! It’s brilliant and I would give up any of my other kitchen gadgets before I’d give up my Ninja, even my oven!
Exceptional – this is the best kitchen appliance we have purchased.
Great cooking options and great results.
Pressure cooking requires a different lid (included in the price). Works really well. We pressure cook joint and veg at same time the air fry the meat as appropriate to get crackling etc. Reduces cooking time and the number of pots and pans used.
Bake and air fry are amazing. We barely use the oven now.
Can not recommend highly enough.
Would be even better if you didn’t have to change the lids for different cooking types.
I read all the reviews before purchasing the Foodi, I have been really pleased with the product, I would recommend getting a recipe book which guides you through all the cooking styles, but once you have grasped the basics its great to use. Meat especially chicken is far more succulent and being able to crisp the skin is a real bonus.
It is large and quite heavy, It will not fit easily into a cupboard but looks good enough to leave out on the work surface which is far easier than packing away after using. Cleaning is easy the cooking pot will fit in a dishwasher as will the wire rack but it also cleans just as easy by washing it by hand.
I haven’t as yet tried all the cooking combinations but am looking forward to trying them out.
I love the versatility of this product. I made stews, chicken goujons, ribs, fries, mash, rice and biscuits. The machine does it all. I am happy with the speed and variety, however I, for one, had to learn the times I must use for each type of food. While the machine came with a little (very little) booklet and a cheat sheet, I thought these helped me very little. I got more help on different blog sites and I am yet to find a site I’ll bookmark for future reference. For some reason I could not master making rice. It always comes a little too soft or too uncooked. Having said all that, I hardly use my oven. I always use the Ninja Foodie because is fast and cleaning is very easy. I love it.
A very useful tool in my kitchen.
I don’t need my wife anymore
Wow!!! I have made roast dinners, cakes, stir fry, cottage pie, pasta dishes, curries, rice and loads more!! in the 6 weeks ( approx) I have used it every day except twice. this has truly revolutionised my way of cooking and eating healthier. And just as importantly it has cut down time to cook healthy meals. Oh and minimilised on washing up!! I really cant recommend it enough. I just love it. Best buy ever!! ( I am attempting plum jam today, so fingers crossed!) To those worried about how to use, I use the guide ( stuck it on the inside of my herbs cupboard door, so can refer to easily whilst cooking) and then i use my common sense with the guide and everything has come out brilliant!!
Living on your own with 2 of these is immense. I can only eat certain food due to severe food intolerances, and I have to cook food in it twice a day. I can cook from beef dinner from frozen in 55 minutes and the food tastes awesome. Bacon, sausage (I don’t eat sausage) are easy to cook and the cheapest of chips taste better than any fish shop chips. Lidl Frozen Chips (1.05) cooked to perfection in 16 minutes. Great with bacon & egg just add a salt.
As a pressure cooker use the water from the juices to make gravy. It’s beautiful gravy every time.
I haven’t used my oven in 20 months.
Fantastic at toasting T cake in 4 minutes.
Sounds like I’m making an advert, it’s just that good.

I can safely say this is my best purchase of my lifetime. I’ve convinced others of its usefulness and that doesn’t normally happen in my life. Total purchases for others to date is 5. How convincing is that.
Last thing to say is it’s too simple to use when you have used it regularly.
1 bug found is the seal on the pressure cooker. After 18 months it’s failing. Not forgetting I use them every day. So not a biggy!
Absolutely delighted with our Ninja Foodi.
It is so versatile and with so many options we hardly need any other appliance. Pressure cooker is great and so easy to use and without the fuss and hissing of our old one. The air crisper is great too a chicken is cooked in minutes using the pressure cooker then switch to air crisper to crisp and brown the skin.
Slow cooker is also great if you want to take the time to cook slowly and you can even steam your vegetables.
Chips are also great whether fresh or from frozen.
I have been living under a rock in terms of knowledge about cooking. I had never cooked anything in my life except eggs, and I never enjoyed cooking in general. It always seemed very far fetched for me to get into it.
I am currently working abroad, and I don’t want to spend a lot of money on food, so I began searching for something versatile and convenient to cook with. I watched many reviews on instant pot and other pressure cooker a, and the ninja foodi stood out to me, as a combination of a pressure cooker and air fryer, saving both money and space in exchange for versatility.
I ordered it on Amazon UK from the UAE, and estimated delivery was 2 weeks. It arrived one week earlier, and I decided to beat the iron while it is hot and start cooking immediately. I made the teriyaki chicken recipe as per the book and it turned out fine. Then the same day I made one pot spaghetti and it was delicious. The very next day I made my coworkers grilled parmesan chicken drumsticks and they loved it.
So far I have been very happy with it, and cleaning the pot is very easy. The trivet is annoying to clean after grilling greasy food, but it isn’t an issue. And I can let it heat up some lefoltovers from a previously cooked meal while I clean the rest of the accessories I used (you can use keep warm function without the lid!).
As a beginner to cooking, just following simple recipes thoroughly and cooking delicious food out of it is mind blowing to me, and I would recommend anyone in my situation to invest in one.
I haven’t used it as a slow cooker yet, but I particularly love the pressure cooker mode. Set it and forget it! The pot is so easy to clean and it holds loads too – all my veggie offcuts straight from the freezer, into the pressure cooker, a little water, then soup in about 20 minutes! It cooks rice and other grains to perfection too. I am still learning to use the air fryer mode which is much fiercer than I expected and I still tend to overcook things a bit, and I find that while some things are nice and crisp immediately after taking them out, they lose their crispness quite quickly. It makes dreamy baked sweet potatoes though! It’s great for roasting veggies and you can cook completely oil free if you want. On the down side (and these downs are easily outweighed by the ups), the detachable trivet under the basket can be extremely difficult to clean after air frying – it is made of plastic without a non-stick coating. It would be nice if the lid could be removed rather than just hinging opened. The unit is pretty big and takes up quite a bit of counter space. In the USA, a dehydrator accessory is available, not yet available in the UK, and I eagerly await this – it would be very useful. As a relatively new user who probably hasn’t explored all its options yet, I am highly delighted with this machine and haven’t had a moment’s regret since buying it. Highly recommended!
This product is a great time saver, it saves on electricity and is easy to clean.
It works as advertised and so far I’ve had no functional issues with it, the pressure release valve doesn’t seem to move entirely to where it says but the pressure still releases so it’s not a problem. Trying to cook frozen meals can be a bother though since the size won’t allow for more than one item due to the dimensions of the food containers and I need to be Mindful of the sizes of things like pizza if buying from frozen. It’s ideal for fresh recipes and for creating your own once you get the hang of it though.
I’m very pleased with this product.
This pressure cooker is quite large and quite heavy but it will be as it has to do so many things. In the box you get the cooker and internal pot. You also get the crisper and steamer extras.
You test the pressure release function first by adding some water and releasing the steam. Apart from doing this you are good to go.
I prepared a pasta dish in this along with chicken wings which crisped up really well within 20 minutes! It is easy to clean as everything happens in the internal pot. Instruction buttons are on the front. You also receive a recipe booklet that has guide cooking times. It is worth keeping this safe otherwise you might not know how long to cook things for.
I bought this online elsewhere before it was available on Amazon. It’s simply brilliant. I am used to an electric pressure cooker so did consider whether I needed another ‘gadget’ however, this is so much bigger than my pressure cooker so far more useful. Additionally it steams (steamer redundant now too ) sauts and has also repacked my much older slow cooker and air fryer. It does everything but the real selling point in the tender crisp – a full roast chicken in 45 minutes! You can cook dried pasta in minutes with all the ingredients added so one pot cooking super quick and no washing up! You can bake and cook from frozen plus cook your rice, veg and protein together. If you want very quick nutritious home made meals (it’s quicker than heating up a ready meal in the microwave) then this is the answer. Bonus of no cooking smells, limited washing up and cheaper than running your oven.
It’s not cheap but add up all the gadgets it replaces and energy and time saving I personally think it’s worth the investment. Oh and it grills too.
It’s quite large and I keep it out on the work surface in my utility room permanently as I use it all the time. Programming is very easy from touch buttons on the front, 2 lids (one fixed on a hinge) good instructions and limited recepie book to get you started. It’s easy for novice teenage cooks to use too as no hot stoves/ovens etc. Plus it times itself and turns off. For student accommodation it would be the dream gift.
I love this, healthy, fast, clean, odourless machine, I feel like I now have helping hands in the kitche
