My first robot and all I can say is I’m hooked! It’s really fab.
I have ME which affects my ability to keep the house clean, so this is an absolute lifesaver, just hope it doesn’t go downhill as time goes on, I was so impressed I bought a 2nd for upstairs and a litter robot for my cats which is so amazing. I’ve gone robot mad and also purchased a robot which plays with pets/children and also has cctv for monitoring, with my condition it’s helped incredibly. Well worth the investments all round, delighted.
A very good robot vacuum picks up really well and for the price of it is value for money
This robotic hoover is amazing, for such a tiny machine it does great work. Once you clean it and de-tangle any pet hairs etc from the brushes every now and then you will see excellent results. I got it as I have 3 teenage kids, 3 dogs and 1 cat and between the bits of food and pet hair I felt I was pulling out my hoover every single day. Now I have my new best friend scheduled to work away during the day when I am at work. It does a great job and I only now have to pull out my own hoover to do my stairs. I would highly recommend this product to anyone with either timber or carpet as it does a great job on both……even bathroom tiles and mats we have on the floor. Exceptional.
Excellent value for money
I was worried when ordered it due to low price compred to other brands but I trusted the reviews and I made the right decision.
Suction is great (using it on medium), it’s very thorough with cleaning. Starts by going up and down In lines and then goes around the walls. It’s going to others rooms (in the same floor ofc)on its own. Overall I’m happy with my purchase. I don’t even have another vacuum or broom in my flat. Floor is always clean using only the OKP robo
Why have I never considered one of these before? We have 5 dogs, 1 is a Labrador so that speaks for itself and a cat, copes really well with animal hair better than the Dyson for sure which absolutely does not. All in all a great buy.
Wasn’t sure what to expect, but pleasantly surprised about how good this little vacuum is. Good suction power and easy to use. Mop function is good too.
I don’t find this as thorough as a hoover, but for in between days it’s brilliant for keeping on top of things. The mop function works but not as thoroughly as pressing hard with an actual mop. Then again, if you use this regularly, you shouldn’t have to. The remote control works well although it does feel a bit like calling a dog. The buttons on top are great- the one with a little house icon sends it home to its recharging point. Because it kind of sleeps on its recharging point, it hasn’t so far run out of charge.
Incidentally, our cat has learned to press the buttons and make this go round the room, so it gets extra points for entertainment value.
There seem to be quite a few of these robot cleaners on the market these days, offered at different price points. Hopefully my review should help in the choice?
*Pros*
* It’s quite easy to set up, and enabled by good wifi connection. We did, however, have difficulties however linking it to Alexa. You can find other independent apps to enable you to use this on your phone.
* Filling the water tank and emptying the dust tank is easy. It’s not too noisy when in use. Has both vacuum and mopping facilities. Spare brushes and filter provided
* It can independently clean floors without any supervision, and maps where it has been via the app. It’s able to map where it has been so should be able to avoid repeating itself. Sometimes does this well, but can be thrown out when moved to another room it’s not familiar with.
* The battery power enables it to last about an hour, sometimes a little over. Will go back to base to recharge itself when battery runs low. Charge time is 4 approx hours
* It comes with remote control, enabling you to move it to where you want it to go
* It’s good for basic cleaning. Does a good job of cleaning on hard surfaces, not so good on carpets or rugs. Can get caught up with tassels on rugs
* The app has a few functions like auto and edge cleaner to enhance its performance,
*Cons*
* The initial set up of the app is a pain.
* The mopping is elementary, and does not apply enough pressure to enable removal of difficult stains
* It can sometimes suck up unwanted items, such as socks, charging leads etc, although these are easily removed
* It needs quite clear spaces as can become easily entangled with obstacles such as chair legs
*Summary*
It’s a good basic cleaning device, although more suited to rooms with clear spaces, such as hallway and kitchen, or laminate flooring around rugs. Later particularly useful as it can vacuum and wash using same device. I found it particularly effective with cleaning any open spaces under sofas.
4/5
Not the smartest robot vacuum but it does the job. Very good performance for its price..
I have a large open plan house whereby the majority of the living space is tiled. This works really well on tiled floor; it finds its way around, goes back round the edges and then returns to the base to charge. I personally don’t feel the suction is strong enough to vacuum the carpets properly and still use my plug in hoover on the carpets weekly. The mop function is more like wiping a wet wipe over the floor but not sure what else you would expect for the money.
I use this every day and absolutely love it.
I really love having a robot vacuum, it saves me so much time and effort of not having to hoover myself. I’m quite happy with this OKP vacuum, all in all it definitely does the trick!
The pros:
– Vacuuming works great on wooden floors as well as carpet.
– The robot vacuum is relatively quiet and the battery lasts a decent amount of time.
– The ‘return home to charge’ function is really handy since the vacuum will always be charged and ready to go without having to plug it in yourself.
– It’s controllable with a remote or with the app. The app allows you a bit more functionality such as scheduling, manual control, changing the fan suction and viewing the cleaning history with maps. The app setup and connecting is pretty simple and straightforward.
– It looks good and feels sturdy and durable.
The cons:
– The vacuum does need quite a bit of time to get everywhere because it’s not smart enough to memorise the floor plan and to plan out a route, it’s always cleaning pretty random. For the current price of 259.99 I’d expect the vacuum to be somewhat smarter.
– The mopping function doesn’t really seem to do much.
Although I’ve never actually managed to connect to my phone we are overall very happy , we switch her on and leave her to do her thing. I do recommend to empty her bin at the end of each vacuuming
Just the most amazing, time saving little robot who we name Bob!!! The dust tray amazes me each time I empty it. Where does the dust, dirt come from??? We use this every day and I love the feeling my floor are getting a daily hoover.
This robot vacuum is tailored more for houses that have larger open flooring and are kept clutter-free. The robot learns the lay of the land if you will and hits most spots. The more complicated the floor space the less of a good job this will do. I was impressed by its ability to change the suction depending on the material of the floor underneath. It does the corners well which was a worry of mine but a spinning brush will collect most of the residue.
The battery life is enough to do a whole floor in my house but not enough to hoover and then also mop. The mop function is okay but if you need a deep mop then this is not the choice. It’s a great option to have if you need a quick freshen-up.
Cliff detection works really well and this has not yet fallen down the stairs or any of the other steps. If you have a pet – this will attract the attention of them so make sure they are okay with the added noise and movement of this robot. My dog is still in a battle with it but it is improving.
This OKP Robot vacuum is great! Works perfectly fine! Easy to use! and easy to setup in my smartphone so i can control it. Battery life is great. Really cleans well! Easy to clean as well good value for money
Brilliant and worth every penny, love it. We have an open plan with hard floor and no steps and it’s perfect for us. Suction is good and enough battery to complete the job. Mopping is good for a light wipe over but don’t expect a deep clean. It doesn’t map the house, it just works its way round.
Great item that works very well. Always has a full dust bin (and we thought we were a clean house)
Mop works well too.
Smart schedule all working as expected and it’s not a dumb robot. It knows where it’s been and where needs to be done.
Dislikes,
The robot does do mapping on the app but doesn’t save the map for reference of where was completed or to aid the robot next time. But for the price it’s not a show stopper.
This manufacturer makes great little robotic vacuums, very easy to set up on WiFi, create a routine and maintain. We have a slightly smaller model already and that’s good too.
Build is robust and this can fit the other docking station we have for the one upstairs and visa versa.
Manages slight elevation in carpet depth pretty well and ideal for an uncluttered area that needs regular vacuuming.
Usually need to empty at the end of the week after short runs at night.
Mopping is less impressive. It mops off light surface dirt but doesn’t pick up heavier stains. Maybe if run for ages over night it would pick up heavier soiling but sometimes with mopping you need to get your elbows into it and I don’t this is suitable for that kind of clean.
After doing some research I found how to get replacement parts, although it comes with some spares.
Clear instructions, easy to follow.
Knocked off 1 star as I think the mop function has limited use options.
This is a good budget robot vac . In the box you get 1x Robot Vacuum; 1x Adapter; 1x User Manual; 1x Visible HEPA; 1x Dust Box; 1x Docking Station; 1x Magnet Belt; 1xBlack bracket; 1x Blue Mop; 5x White Mops; 1x Remote Controller; 4x Side Brushes. Note: It stays powered up to 150 min continuous
I specially like it has 3 options to control phone by app alexa or remote. Unfortunately the suction for this one is only good for surface dust, these hoovers wouldn’t replace a proper hoover. It’s really easy to connect too and keeps connection. I think it’s cleaver how it can put itself back to charge too. It creates a digital map and you can programme cleans . It’s not very noisy . The design and quality is impressive I live watching it hoover and how it leaves clean looking marks once down in the carpet .it spots big obstacles but isn’t so cleaver around shoes and leads. I am very lucky to have 2 of these and this ones good for the price but isn’t the bes
It has a wee paper manual as well as an app you can download, so if you aren’t techy you have the old school instructions. Same with with, you can connect your hoover via the app on your phone, your Alexa or just using the remote control if you need it.
The suction is pretty good on laminent and wooden floors, carpets it isn’t as strong, cleans surface stuff but if you want a proper clean (I used my dyson) then you will want to use your regular hoover. I did after a few runs and still picked up debris. It gets caught up on wires or any loose strands from a carpet.
You get five wee clothes for the washing of the floors, they are white although you have x1 blue protective thicker style cloth, I have only used the white one.
There is an extra filter and you get ?wire (pictured) that you can put down and it stops the hoover as a barrier, if you have stairs in the house or half lino half carpet this is a good shout.
It is nice to set it to hoover or mop and just leave it to it. The mopping is again for very light cleaning. If you have mud stains from being out in bad weather, even if you go over it a few times – it doesn’t get it all off. It does do a nice job if it is just minimal cleaning required. It does a better job on the bathroom lino – the wooden floors it needs to go over a few times.
Emptying the collection box is easy, same with filling/emptying the water tank and as it is half and half it hoovers as it mops.
It isn’t overly noisy, not sure how it compares to other ones as I say this is our first but it isn’t very loud at all. Still trying to get used to what the different beeps mean and unlike other reviews report I haven’t yet had any alerts/errors sent to my phone (we have downloaded the app).
We have tried and successfully connected it via Alexa so if we are out in the garden we can get her to give the floor a wee once over before we come in.
It doesn’t specify if you can add any detergent into the compartment for cleaning, this would be helpful. The wee cleaning brushes you get four and two spare. It would be helpful to have a link where we can buy replacements.
If you have animals that cast heavily or long hair that sheds – keep an eye when doing the carpet as the brushes get hair tangled up quickly.
Overall I like it, wasn’t sure if we would get much use out of it but we do and when this one breaks down I would absolutely replace it. I think I would check what all kinds are available and check out suction power compared to this one.
I really love our new robot cleaner, the vacuum process is just brilliant but the only thing that bothers me is that the mop attachment disconnects on its own. Example, robot was going over door step and when going over the door step the mop attachment got disconnected. Other than that, happy enough. Still dont know how it will work with the phone app as we are waiting for broadband to be installed.
Bought this as a gift. They love it. They said that it was ready to set up and have used it on their hard floors, both living room and bathroom and on all three of their bedroom carpets. They are very delighted with it and would recommend it to anyone.
I’m replacing an older, but (in theory) better robot vacuum with this one. My older version was very difficult to connect to the WiFi, a real chore every time I wanted to control it. This was a necessary evil, since it could only be controlled via an app (or Google/Alexa). This model comes with a remote to avoid such issues, though not necessary for me, since this if far superior at connecting to the WiFi. After setting it up once, it has never lost it’s connection. Getting Google to recognise that app via Google Home, did need some research though, it connects via Tuya Smart (not OKP Life as you would expect).
In terms of cleaning, this vacuum does a good job. The bin is frequently full of debris and hair. There are lots of tiny particles, similar to that a good vacuum collects.
The mopping does not apply any pressure though. The water does a very light surface clean, certainly not enough to remove anything stubborn. If you like a mopped floor, this would disappoint. I keep the water tank topped up though, since the pad (removable like proper water based cleaners) does show some collected grime. Again, nowhere near what a steam cleaner or similar product would remove. So, for me, the water is a small bonus, not a key feature.
In terms on intelligence, it finds its way back to the dock. It is careful as it moves around. It can vacuum over non-deep pile rules. It can easily go for an hour whilst it does its task. It creates a digital map, and provides some basic stats. There are a few varying options for how it behaves, however I can’t see them being used very often (spiral or random cleaning modes). I did play with manually controlling it to remove a tea stain on the laminate which was fun – but the stain remained.
It’s quiet in action, not silent, but not too distracting. Emptying the dust bin is simple, as is filling the small water tank. If using the mop function, the amount of water used is adjustable. You should remove the pad once it’s finished though (safety) – this might not be ideal if you are having it clean whilst you are not at home.
As with other robots, sometimes it eats something it shouldn’t (a sock perhaps) or gets stuck (mounting the cat bowl), where it will send a notification to your phone for help. Overall, such problems are removed as you learn how to prep (if needed).
The app does feature some poor translation in places (help pages), however the main app functions all work as intended and well made. There is a paper based manual and getting started guide included. Packaging is decent. Overall, I’m happy with this robot vacuum. I’ve never encountered the brand before, however the app has over 100,000 downloads, which suggests they are larger abroad.
i hae been after 1 of these for so long so it’s good to see the prices coming down with the quality remaining the same.
I only have wooden flooring and slip and waterproof flooring in my kitchen and bathroom so 0 carpet.
With a black lab and toddlers in my house I am constantly sweeping and picking toys up, this robot hoover is great for picking up the dog hair but not so great manoeering around small objects so do make sure your floor is free of clutter and this will clog up the hoover.
Battery time states 100 mins run time, i’m getting between 65-75 minutes as it’s on twice a day. I would say 1 full battery does my kitchen , hallways and kitchen which is quite good going considering the mess and dog hair .
The hoover itself does ok I still have to sweep through underneath the sofa’s which are on small feet so there is a approx 3-4 inch gap between the floor and the sofa, where the dog hair ahs been blown around.
Easy set up on your phone once you downlaod the app adn you also hae a remote control.
For me the funniest thing I have ever seen is the hoover go back home to the chargign station to recharge.
Charge time is up to 4 hours which seems excessie for something that ony gies a max of 100 mins run time.
When opening the box I was actually surprised but pleased with the weight of the hoover , it’s a decent weight, appeasr ery well made and does do the job if your floors are clutter free.
If the hoover gets stuck it will alert you via the app.
I have used this upstairs and was really pleased when it didn’t roll down the stairs, it maps your .
It’s a great starter robot hoover, very well made , does a good job I just wish the suction coud be a but stronger ony becasue of the fine dog hair being blown underneath my sofa.
Emotying this is easy and reasiltically I empty this eery 2 -3 days and that’s afetr doing a 3 bedroom house.
Impressed with this robotic vacuum, I had another one before this but this one is much more better. It’s easy and simple to operate using the remote control or using the app which paired immediately and works straightforward , no issues at all regarding this aspect. The vacuum itself is very good build , strong and sturdy and not very heavy so easy to lift it up and move it upstairs or downstairs depends where u needed, also the suction on carpet and hardwood floors is good . Picks up all the bits and dust from the hardwood floor but not so deep cleaning when comes to carpet , but still ok . What I like the most is that I can control it via phone when I’m not home and vacuum will do the job so all nice and clean when I’m coming hone so more time for the family to spend together, also I like the fact that when rubs out of batteries find his charger and goes all by itself to docks himself and charging ready for next time when I needed.
It’s been a couple of weeks and I’m still so happy to watch the hoover zip around my house while I sit down with a cup of tea and a digestive.
So far there has been only one issue to deal with, which is its tendency to get underneath things while mopping and leave the water tank behind when it’s coming out. That’s easy to fix though, and hasn’t diminished my love for this hoover at all.
I have been using this for the last month all around the house to see where it works best and have found it’s definitely more suited to hard surfaces with very little obstacles. I had one of these robotic hoovers many years ago and it would go around crashing into walls and furniture and would generally not do a very good job. But technology has come along a bit now and this one has more built in proximity sensors so it doesn’t go hurtling into things. It has come stuck a few times and it’s generally on a chair we have that has a wooden base that is just big enough for it to go over but not big enough for it to detect it’s there. It then gets stuck on top of it and can’t get off without me having to move it again which is inconvenient.
So we have decided to just keep it in the kitchen where it can hoover and mop at the same time. It does do an OK job of mopping and a relatively good job at getting most of the areas but you’d still need to go around and do a proper job every now and then.
The app is OK the mapping on the app is absolutely useless and looks nothing like your room when it says it’s mapping out your room. I’m not sure if an update will cure this but it would certainly make a better cleaner if it actually knew where it had cleaned as it seems a little random to me. It does hoover quite well on carpets and gets up some decent bits but it doesn’t do a thorough job in my opinion. And the little brushes at the front just fling rubbish around on hard surfaces and don’t really direct all the rubbish to the hoover section. Why they don’t make these with the hoover part at the front so it can get into the edges is beyond me.
The Alexa integration works well and you can set it to come on at certain times of the day which is great as it can clean while you are out. It also finds its way back to the charging dock without to much issue but it obviously has no idea where it is in relation to your room until it stumbles across it close by. Then it manages to guid itself back onto the dock which I always find impressive. The hoover bin doesn’t hold a large amount but more than large enough for a few cleaning sessions before having to empty it.
Overall for the price it’s a good little smart hoover and looks very modern as well. Just don’t expect this to replace a proper hoover and mop because it won’t, it will just be enough to keep on top of cleaning a room or two for a few days before getting out the main equipment.
I have used a number of different robot vacuum cleaners over the past few years and found that on the whole you got what you paid for. Wanting one for more occassional use, I thought I would try a mid range one this time. With the OKP vacuum though, you get a vacuum that punches well above its weight.
In the box is charging doc, a couple of spare rotary brushes, a spare filter and a some hard wood cleaning pads for use in mop mode.
Set up was straight forward clipping the brushes in place and placing on its initial charge – it does come with some charge but leaving overnight lets it fully charge and is always recommended for new kit. Adding to the app only took couple of minutes thanks to a QR code quick set up to link it to your WiFi. The app it self is well designed and allows you to schedule the robot to clean, monitor the battery level and see the map it makes of your home as it cleans.
The cleaning map is made as it goes around and is not done using lidar as with some of the much more expensive cleaners. For this reason it is a guide rather than totally accurate but I found it to be good and much better than some other robot vacuum maps I had in the past.
The quality of cleaning is impressive as it adapts to all floor types even long pile rugs with no problem – as can be seen in the video. It picks up a lot of dust and the filter should be cleaned regularly to keep it in good condition. As it is a small filter it does need cleaning more often than the larger ones in upright cleaners. Only thing we have noticed is the brushes already look very used but how long they will last I cannot say yet.
One thing that many robot vacuums struggle with it returning to the dock when they are finished or need a top up. This one again punches above it weight as it has never once failed to find the dock.
I wish I had bought this years ago, we have two long haired house dogs along with a busy family life. I hoovered at least twice a day, and am very fussy about cleanliness. Noone else can do it properly! Until I got “Daisy” , she is quiet, dogs don’t mind her. Her suction and floor coverage is excellent, I did think I might have to get the vacumm out after her to get into corners etc- I was wrong. We have a mixture of porcelain tiles and wooden floors with scatter rugs on some floors and she glides over them all doing an excellent job. Would highly recommend.
The quality of the build is really good.It is not heavy so easily can be picked up and moved around. It comes with washable mop cloth which is really good and also extra filter which you can change after few months or whenever required. But due to the size of the product the suction is ok but compared to a normal vacuum it is quite less. The programs on this vacuum are really good like how you can only work the corners and use auto functions or random. It also swirls around the chair legs to make sure all areas are covered properly which is quite impressive. Suction power can be controlled via remote or app as well. One really cool function is that when the job is complete you can press the home button and the vacuum finds the charger and docks itself in to start charging again. The battery life is very impressive on this and last a very long time. I do not use Alexa so not sure how it will work with smart products.a
Vacuum on Carpet :
The suction power for carpet is not too good. After using it the carpet looks clean but mainly it only cleans the surface and doesn’t pull out the dirt from the carpet. I used my normal upright vacuum after using this and still managed to get a lot out. Also if you have threads etc stuck to carpet it is unable to take them out. I have not used any other robot vacuum so I don’t know how it compared to them it terms of power and if all robot vacuum are like this with less power but if you paying this much money you expect it to have the power to do the job properly.
Vacuum/mop on hard floor :
This thing works really well on laminate or hardwood flooring. Picks up all the dust as you would expect and works quite efficiently as well. The mop works nicely too but it is not a steam mop so don’t expect the results to be same as steam mop. this product is very well suited for the hard floors
Overall verdict:
For the price it should be improved to make it work better on carpet. If you mostly will be using this on carpet then probably this isn’t the product for you but if you have more hard/laminate/wooden floors then it is worth the money.
I’ve got another from another brand (trifo) so I can compare and this one from OKP is amazing. You can see how good is quality since moment one.
It’s being to easy to install and suction power is so good. Also detect environment much better than trifo’s. I don’t like particularly to use the mop but it’s just me the same than I do not use the remote control. Not handy.
Quite silent. Wheels are very powerful too. I have a tiny step on my lounge prior to balcony and this robot steps up. Seriously, so surprised.
Battery last forever and anyway comes back to docking station when this one is close to the end.
Amazing robot, totally worth it.
A good wee helper, keep tidy up with two dogs at home. Also very good to get with a spare brushes and mop. I`m very happy, it`s keep my time.
Having a dog this is great suction power vacuum. Easy to assemble, setup with app and mop. I like everything that is making our lives easier. It comes with :1x Adapter; 1x User Manual; 1x Visible HEPA; 1x Dust Box; 1x Docking Station; 1x Magnet Belt; 1xBlack bracket; 1x Blue Mop; 5x White Mops; 1x Remote Controller; 4x Side Brushes.
It’s mop and vacuum all in one, doesn’t drip water around and it has precision micro water pump so there is no over wetting floors.
Technology is made to detect and avoid obstacles but struggles with bar stool mirror effect leg-keep trying to over it. It’s avoiding to go down the stairs but it has strange manoeuvres as it is going for it then it would turn away. It nearly gave me hart attack.
It is great with hard floors as others but also it can vacuum thin carpet.
The only strange behaviour is that it doesn’t run smooth as my old one… it looks like is stuttering a bi
Bought for my 83 year old mum and she loves it.
I am so impressed with this and love the fact I can be in bed and can turn it on to hoover the downstairs without having to move as I have the app on my phone. It cleans well and doesn’t bash into things.
I haven’t actually used the remote control yet as the cleaner can be activated by an app on my phone. It is very thorough and is brilliant at going under furniture and over rugs. My house has never been so clean!
Summary
There is no doubt that this is a step forward in home vacuuming as it is controllable and will find its way around your house – eventually.
Hard floors vs Carpets
I believe it is more suited to hard floors with minimum obstructions. If you are a minimalist with furnishings, this would suit you. The hard floor performance is quite decent with picking up bits that have been dropped, but don’t expect edge to edge cleaning as despite there being little edge brushes, they often flick the bits away from the cleaner.
Carpets are negotiable for this little cleaner, but results can vary and you will never get a deep clean as there isn’t enough suction – that would take a serious amount of battery power and you are also using power to move the cleaner and power the electronics and intelligence / navigation. Having said that, I was pleasantly (?) surprised to see how much dust the cleaner had picked up with about 45 mins total run time in medium and high mode (see pic).
Spinning Sweeping brushes
I found them to be limited in their effectiveness and occasionally fall off their socket as I watched it wander around my house. I noted that when the brush fell off and I pressed the on/off button to pause the cleaning, the map and cleaning timer was reset and therefore (I presume) it didn’t know where it started from nor where it had already cleaned as it cleaned those areas again.
Battery / Suction performance
I put the cleaner in auto mode on the highest dry vacuum setting and it was cleaning for 17 minutes with 79% of power remaining, so not too bad. Personally, I would prefer more suction and better performance to enable the vac to clean more thoroughly, but I expect this will be enough for some people with only hard floors.
Buttons and set up
The three buttons on the device are 1) Power, 2) Charge (go back to base) and 3) Start Cleaning. These functions and more are available via the App – I used the “SmartLife” App as I already had it for other items and it instantly recognised there was a smart vacuum. Set up was very easy with the app and it was cleaning very quickly out of the box (although it recommends to charge overnight first).
Conclusion
If you want a robot vacuum for under 200 then this OKP robot vac is a very decent place to start. Not perfect, but fascinating all the same.
I was actually surprised how effective this robotic cleaner is. It works really well on the very flat carpet in my kitchen and the little brushes got right into those tricky bits at the bottom of the cupboards that the hoover can’t get into and even delved a little way under the fridge. It did struggle with the deeper pile of the living room but managed to navigate over the rug before I put it out of its misery. It was easy to set up although you do need to have an available power point and enough
floor/wall space to accommodate the charger and give the robot the space to find its way home. I haven’t got the space it says in the booklet and it coped pretty well considering. It would work well in a house with no clutter, it really doesn’t like trailing wires at all so you need to clear them off the floor. The sensors are pretty good but you do need to keep an eye on it as it did try to hoover my fireplace. There is a barrier tape provided so you can cordon off areas to prevent it going through doorways or stop it falling downstairs. It does take a long time to cover a room as it is quite meticulous in its diagonal toing and froing but it is quite hypnotic to watch and the charge is supposed to last at least a couple of hours. It does make a noise but no more than a hoover. I really like the spot cleaning feature where it concentrates on a specific small area for spillages and the edge cleaner as those little brushes can get under the radiator pipes as well.
I think this would be great if you have a relatively clutter free existence, no deep pile carpets and the confidence to let it get on with the job unsupervised.
A really smart vacuum cleaner with loads of settings and functions.
Depending on the power setting it can be very loud but we don’t mind that too much as we are not always around. That’s why we wanted a robot vacuum cleaner so we can control it remotely.
I was surprised to see that it picks up our dog’s hair and other dirt pretty well and manages to vacuum clean the whole ground floor area (except the bathroom) in one go.
This vacuum device looks very stylish and futuristic, it makes some weird moves sometimes and keeps hitting into the wall or furniture but it spins around until it finds its way again.
After setting it up and pairing, the app gives much more control and functions over the device than the remote control.
We are very pleased with this smart gadget, it saves us time cleaning the house when we are not around and it also looks really cool.
If you have pets, this vacuum cleaner is a must-have! I have a dog and the hair are everywhere, it’s very annoying, because if I won’t clean my floor even for one day then you can find hair on the clothes etc., so I had to do it every day manually and it is very time-consuming especially when I have lots of work to do. I’m using this cleaner every day, once a day, it does a great job, not perfect but still, I’m very happy with this robot – it saves me a lot of time. The battery is enough to clean my bathroom, double room, single room, living room, hallway and kitchen. I haven’t tried all the functions yet, I’m using the smart mode as this mode seems to work best for me. I can control it from my phone, remote control and the robot itself. All functions are simple and easy to use. In the video, the cleaner is on a very thick mat and clearly, it has sensors to not fall from the edge. It goes on the carpet and does the job quite well (depends on what kind of carpet). It comes with a magnetic (I think) strip, which you can cut and place in front of something – the robot will recognise it and it won’t go there.
For it to operate properly, you have to make sure that no wires are on the floor, nothing that could make the robot to stuck – this is a bit annoying but understandable. Another minus is that if the battery is low and the robot stops in some other room than the charging station is, then the robot can’t go to the charger, he gets lost and I have to operate it manually. I have placed the charger in the kitchen under the table and once the robot is in the kitchen somehow he recognising the place and it’s even impressive how smartly he can manoeuvre between the chairs.
Mop function – not perfect, but better than nothing, it won’t clean the dirt which is stuck to the floor, but for daily dirt and dust, it is perfectly good.
I’m struggling to get it to connect to my internet so I’ve given up and doing it manually right now using the remote. There are 4 cleaning modes- auto, random, spot, edge and the return to base mode. I asked it to return to base and it took nearly 5 minutes to find it! The random cleaning it started doing was random! Just moving about the room as seen in the video. It takes 4/5 hours to fully charge. It comes with a boundary strip which you can cut to size and stick to the floor where you don’t want it to go ie at the top of the stairs or next to electrical wires…
I have not tested the mop setting yet as I don’t have floors suitable for this. I hoover everyday or every other day so this is hopefully going to make my life easier, great idea just need to see if it can keep up with a busy family home with pets! We also have Alexa so when I do get it set up this will also be an added bonus asking alexa to hoover!!
This is the first robotic vacuum I’ve tried, and still have mixed feelings about it after the first week.
The quality impression is good, it has a glass top, simple design and was easy to get started. There are instructions in the box as well as spare parts. There was a slight discrepancy in the instructions about the free space needed around the charging dock, as pictured. I have plugged it in under my tv unit so it’s nice and out of the way.
I downloaded the app as instructed. I had a little trouble setting up an account, but switched my VPN off and it was fine after that. The app is pretty straightforward, you can control the vacuum with it, check it’s charge status, see the cleaning history and even a little (slightly crude) map of where it has been. I have connected to Alexa but honestly find it easier to just open the app.
So onto the cleaning. There are several modes for different purposes, for example a spiral for spot cleaning if you have spilt something. The random mode was truly very random and didn’t seem to cover the area very well. Smart mode works best for my home, it seems more logical than the others.
I have several interconnected rooms downstairs, all with hard floors and a couple of rugs. The vacuum works well on the hard floor, easily picking up dust, fluff, little blades of grass that have been brought in, etc. It gets underneath the furniture well, but does struggle with areas with lots of legs, eg under the dining table, and bumps around a lot! No damage is caused because of the rubber bumpers on the front.
Where it was less effective was anywhere near cables, it does not like cables! I recommend lifting them up off the floor, or buying some cable management boxes. There is a strip included in the box that you can stick to the floor that stops the vacuum from going to certain areas, but I think it’s ugly and just keeping cables out of the way is better.
Also I have found it’s not great around rugs. Sometimes it goes over the edge easily, but other times it doesn’t and the rug ends up in a tangled mess. Eventually, if it can’t free itself, the vacuum switches off. In particular, it got tangled up with my door mat which is a looped nylon, rubber backed mat. By the time I realised, the mat was damaged, with some of the loops ripped out and the rubber backing disintegrating where it had got stuck. I’m disappointed because the mat was only a few months old. It’s also worth noting that whilst it copes well with obvious obstacles like chair legs, it struggles with smaller things, like my flip flops that were left by the door.
I tried the vacuum on fitted carpet, too. It did a reasonable job of lifting surface bits, but not sure it’s great for a deep clean. I guess if used regularly it helps to prevent a build up of dirt.
The vacuum is pretty quiet, I wouldn’t want to be in the same room watching tv or something, but it’s not bad. If I’m upstairs, I can hear it working downstairs but it’s not loud. The mop mode is pretty good, giving the floor a nice sheen, but didn’t get up some more stubborn marks. Edit: I take this back. After a friend visited with her dog, i used the vacuum with mop and it didn’t make any difference. The hair was gone but paw marks still clearly visible on the laminate flooring.
Overall I like the vacuum. I think it needs frequent use for best effect. I can cope with sorting out my cable management to avoid that problem, but I’m less keen on having to lift the rugs to avoid further damage before each use – makes the programmable app less useful! If your home is naturally quite clean and tidy, this could be a great option for you, or if you are happy to tidy and lift things before using it. Otherwise you might be better sticking with a traditional vacuum or stick type, as it might be just as quick as picking things up before setting off the robot on its merry way!
We have tried a few robot vacuum cleaners and they’ve come down in price.
This is a good looking unit in navy blue. Once it’s charged up it’s remarkably quiet. Not silent but a good deal quieter than say a Dyson.
We’ve really not used it to it’s full functionality but we’ve used it quite extensively in the short time we’ve had it. Firstly, it picks up day to day dirt dragged in on feet and animal hair pretty well. It methodically covers the space depending on which, of the programmes you use. It is bagless and naturally the collection tank is pretty small, but adequate. There is also a small tank for detergent/water when you use the mop function, this too works pretty well. The tanks are easily accessed and easy to empty/fill.
Battery life is quite impressive between charges if you’re accustomed to the 20 minutes you get from a Dyson or similar.
The only drawback is that your floors need to be clear and that cables provide quite a stern obstacle, but it can clean under beds and low tables pretty effectively. And obviously it won’t do stairs. It has a censor which stops it from falling down stairs if you are cleaning a landing. Thus far it has worked fine.
Overall I’m very impressed. There is an app so that you can operate it from your mobile, I’ve not yet used it mainly because I don’t see what major benefits it gives over the supplied handset. The markings on the handset are very dark and completely useless really, but once you get used to the buttons, which are few, then it’s not a major obstacle. Ut just one of those design details that makes you scratch your head.
Overall it’s a good gadget subject to the obvious limitations of this kind of cleaner.
Positives first, this has excellent suction and pickup on both wooden floor and carpet. The app is great and easy to setup schedules to run when not at home. I love the mapping it does so you can see where it has vacuumed and once mapped stops before a recognised obj elle the instead of bumping into it likes previous robot hoovers ive used. Battery really good as well and not too loud. Only problem is I can’t get Alexa to detect the device (not sure if I’m doing something wrong). Tried 3-4 times and each time no device is detected.
Well done so far and seems good for future too
Only tried it on a test run so far but seems to do what it claims. I haven’t yet tried it with Alexa but will do 🙂
Delivery was super quick
It is an amazingly intelligent robot doing its job as it is supposed to. The interchangeable sweep and mop are very handy as I need the mop weekly once only.
Sucks down deep, will even pick up glass stones so very impressed with the suction. I’ve 2 cats so I wanted something that would pick up pet hairs and it seems to do a good job.
I’ve had to raise the sofas a bit, otherwise it sneaks underneath OK and then gets stuck coming out.
Battery life on fairly deep carpets last that long, however it has enough to complete my rooms so I’m happy.
Switches from carpets to the tiles in the kitchen with no issue, it does have to have a few attempts at rotating to get back up to the living room and it keeps switching between the 2 rooms a few times.
I mostly use it as a vacuum, the mop is a manual change of the box
Biggest issue was the manual didn’t work to connect to the app, the QR code took me to a black web page. I did find the app through Play Store but that app didn’t connect to Alexa.
However I noticed that it had a wifi hot spot in a picture to connect to a smartlife wifi, so I switched to my Smart Life app, found the Cleaners and it had the K7 there.
So it is now integrated with Alexa and voice controlled, as I wanted.
Apart from the manual the other downside is that it would be wonderful if it learnt and saved the room layouts so you could exclude areas – but that is probably a more expensive robot. It means that you have to be a bit careful with regards to cables.
Great robot hoover, does a good job and keeps down the pesky pet hair. Struggling to connect to app even after separating 2.4 and 5Ghz signals.
I have not been able to connect to the app yet but the vacuum is great and super useful.
It’s amazing I love the K7! I’m SO impressed!
It hoovers and mops and it’s so efficient I love how easy this is! The suction is brilliant and perfect downstairs for hard floors and upstairs for carpet! It’s so easy to use and away it goes
Great product which does what it promises. Really easy to set-up and simple operation. Yet to set up with Alexa.
Very simple to set up and very quiet cannot wait to use the mop function but the floor is so clean from the hoover and it’s been dry so not had a chance. Don’t delay and buy now. I searched through so many and decided on this unit and glad I did
One of my best orders done this year!! This vaccum robot works wonders! I don’t know how I was living without it in the past. My and my partner are both working and we are not always in the mood for cleaning. This wonderful item does the job for us! I still need a normal vaccum cleaner for cleaning my furniture’s but this does great no hassle job on my hard floors 🙂 I got small carpet in bathroom and it does vacuum it as well.
This is my second robot vacuum cleaner. To be honest I’m surprised how these cleaners are improved over a time .
As I have 2 kids this is a perfect little helper that makes my life easier. There are several benefits of this this robot vacuum cleaner I like a lot.
First of all it can clean upstairs and recognizes stairs very well. You don’t need to baby sit it and be afraid that it will fall. It has a good sensors that tells me every time it got “eaten” something, it would beep and tell you straight away.
Secondly, I like that to it can be started from the app and remote is not needed as it’s always hard to find.. also robot was returning and parking itself every time.
And I guess last and very important point is that it is very silent and mostly operating during the night. Since I have lots of carpents it is collecting a very good amount of dust overnight .
Very happy with this purchase 5/5
This has become one of our favourite gadgets at home. Vacuums well, relatively quiet and is low enough to clean under the sofa! Love how it mops too by filling special chamber with water and floor cleaner liquid.
Note that for Alexa functionality I used the “Smart Life” app rather than the OKP app that they steer you to with the instructions The OKP one doesn’t seem to link with Alexa but the Smart Life does and only found this from searching around for a solution online. The app means you can schedule to clean at defined times e.g. we set it to run whilst we are asleep and wake up to clean part of the home (and robot has made it way back to the charging dock automatically ready to go).
Wasn’t sure what brand to go for and after searching hours on end me and my partner decided to go with the okp brand due the amount of positive reviews and also the added mop function which most robot hoovers don’t have
After using for around 10 days now we like this robot vacuum alot
The battery life is incredible and surpassed my expectations it lasts around 2hrs non stop
I tried it on my first floor and I surprised that it recognised the stairs so it never feel off which was good to see
The noise is really quiet compared to your everyday hoovers
Suction power is really strong and yet to see something that this can’t do
Be mindfull that the more Suction power you have on the less battery you will have full Suction power will give you 1hr to 1hr 20mins
The app is super easy to use and set up didn’t take long at all
Mopping functions is really cool as you can set it to mops also
Overall really happy … my parents are currently thinking of getting one for themselves
Over the moon with my OKP Robot vacuum cleaner K7 model,
Very easy to set up I even called him Hudson He is ready for any job and when he is done he goes back to his charging station,
A game changer for any home .
We just love robot vacuum cleaners. This its coming well packed and it has protection inside
the box not to get damaged. Its very easy to put together and start if you read the instructions.
Its always amazing how much hair its collecting from the floor and that why i like this ones with
a roller brush on the middle. Its has also and i love it when you can hear how he adjust by himself
the suction power in special when it goes from hard floor up on the carpets its increasing the power
suction.I also like that it has the small brushes on both sides of the vacuum not just on one side like
others have. Its very easy to control but we usually let him do his things on automatic mode. The
battery last a lot i don’t think he ever run out of battery before i stop him.We like it a lot and we
use him every single day,we do recommend.
Great pics of technology which works well with modern home technology.
I set up it and linked with home wifi, once linked with home wifi it easy link it with Alexa.
Threw Alexa I can control the hoover with voice command. Just ask Alexa start hoover and it automatically will start.
I had new one got upstairs so this one will be based in downstairs as I have more hard flooring downstairs and can use this with mob function as well.
I can see from mobile which part is already cleared and which parts not yet cleared. It came with manual remote control as well which great for manual adjustment or to clean some areas double.
Long battery life over 2hr long and comes back to station.
Overall brilliant robot hoover which great with hoovering and mobbing.
Never seen the brand before but thought I would chance this compared the the high price of some others and I’ve been very impressed, app is great and allows you to customise timings and areas.
The hover runs very quiet and hasn’t managed to get stuck on anything yet and has plenty of space for waste so doesn’t need emptying too often.
Comes with everything you need and is easy to get set up and going, over all I’m very impressed!
This was a interesting order to be fair. Not something I have considered til recently.
The wife always has the hoover going, and says its never ending. So we got this robot hoover. Out of the box I was thinking is this really going to be up to the job of a proper human run hoover. To be fair I am quite impressed.
It was quite easy to setup and get running straight out of the box.
Setup up the charging dock, then we just let it go off and see what happens. It managed to navigate its way around the longue, around the furniture, navigate from the wooden floor on to the rug and back off. Then it made its way out the hallway and into the kitchen and utility room.( just have to remember to make sure there are no mobile charger leads left lying around).
We have now setup it properly with the dock in its permanent position. The robot will leave its charging dock on command, and return on command, using the app. The app was a little difficult to get setup, but eventually managed. The app has Alexa controlling functions as well
The remote control works well with it. You can direct it in the direction you want it to go.
I have notice that it doesn’t always pick up all the bits of the floor, sometimes it falls short of a traditional hoover. This lost it review star
Also have notice if I pick it up and put it in another room to clean it will go up and down in the room cleaning, then at the end go around the border which is great but then it will just repeatability go around the border over and over, rather than going up and down again, a little annoying.
It is good that you just set it to go around the house(one floor) in the night and its cleaned up while you sleep. It will do all of our ground floor with battery power left to spare.
There are spare brushes and filters supplied as well. It also has a moping function as well, with a detachable water reservoir.
This is my first-time experience with such vacuum cleaner. have been using this vacuum more than a month, in every 3-4 days. I am really happy with the performance of this real wonder. There are various programmes/modes which you can select for the cleaning pattern. I choose automatic mode where the vacuum covers the whole floor between walls, back and forth and proceeds forward.
Things which I like about it-
> Of course, the independent cleaning it can do. You just have to turn it on and forget.
> Battery life is pretty good. I never had to recharge it the middle of 100+ minutes sessions. But I do leave it on the base forever between the cleaning session so it is 100% charged at the beginning of the session.
> It would return to charging base at press of button on remote or when battery is low.
> I have noticed that while mopping if it encounters any dirt, hair, etc. it would pick it up and put in the small compartment below the water container. I usually do a mop with it after a vacuuming session on the tiled floors.
> It can detect step or a drop and stops automatically. I don’t have to worry when it is on the landing area as it can detect steps and back off. It gets a bit jerky during such encounters and I always feel it would fall through the stairs but it does not. Smart! 🙂
> It can climb onto low threaded carpet from a hard floor. Once, it climbed almost 2 cm high wooden step and went into another room.. lol. You can not use it on shaggy carpet. And the rooms must not have loose cables/wires/bag straps otherwise it sucks them in and would get stuck which I think is obvious.
Things which I don’t like —
> The app is very poor. It does not have much feature and crashes on my phone. I have uninstalled it after 2 weeks of trying.
> Once the mopping compartment came off, but the vacuum continued to move. I guess it should have sensor and should stop if such things happen. The compartment came off only once and maybe it was my mistake
> Price is a bit high (at 299), Amazon itself has similar vacuums for much less.
I have had several robot cleaners so far. The OKP robot cleaner sits at the top my list of robot cleaners in terms of performance and multi-functionality. Price I think is fair. At the moment 269.99 with additional 50 coupon available.
Performance-wise it really gets close perfection given that there are no barriers on its way and has enough time to vacuum everywhere. It sometimes pumps to furniture but does change its way or sweaps around it. We don’t have any stairs so I haven’t tested it for stairs.
Noise level is fine, not too noisy. My toddler is now used to it and when the robot vacuum is working she doesn’t really care.
I like the mop function which works well. This is a worthy bonus.
The app is fun to use as it shows and tracks the robot vacuum. The smart features work well with Alexa and goodle play. It’s very handy if you want to set the robot to take care of you home when you are not home so you always come to a clean home!
It easily finds its way to its charging station.
All in all, the OKP robot vacuum is a multi-functioning robot vacuum that does its jobs pretty nicely! No cons so far! And with a price tag of 219.99 after discount and coupon applied I think it’s a reasonable pricing. I do recommend it.
Sturdy little vacuum ideal for night time use as very quiet operation.
Keeps our bedroom spotlessly clean as we have it do a random clean every night. My husband has called it Janet (derived from Janitor) and the cats think she’s a knew friend.
I previously tended to think of these as a novelty but for cleaning the room of a baby or invalid with allergy issues and nervous of loud vacuums this is an ideal choice.
It’s efficient, quiet and if it gets trapped it usually finds its way out of the trap.
Cleans up dust, crumbs and cat hair and needs emptying about every third day although goes on every night.
Not ideal for all round cleaning of a house as for small cleaning jobs but for a single room that requires a daily clean or a small open plan apartment requiring light daily cleaning it’s perfectly adequate.
Really easy to empty and program or to remotely use when completing a manually controlled clean.
Comes with spare parts but have not been able to find replacement ones specifically for this model although some sites claim the generic ones they sell will fit this model,so loses 1 star due to due to this uncertainty but parts seem.to hold up to regular use pretty well so hopefully this will keep going for sometime before any are needed.
Very suprised with how well this Robot Vaccum cleaner worked. The box comes with spare brushes, a remote control, a charging base, spare filters and cloths, a mop add-on and the robot. It is recommended you charge the vaccum for about 4 hours prior to first use. To pair the device to the wifi, I had to download the app, which has various great features, including the ability to set the device off remotely, a cleaning map generated as the robot moves around and the ability to set up schedules with the preferred cleaning mode.
The device can also be controlled through the remote control that comes with the device. I found this device had no problem navigating rooms, working its way around the whole house and I was especially suprised at how well it avoided falling down the stairs. Once finished cleaning, the device consistently finds its way back to the charging base. Although the device is low enough to fit under almost everything in our house, I did find it stuck under certain things. I was suprised with how well the device cleaned. After one run, I found the dustbin had picked up a lot of dust, certainly more than I was expecting.
You can also change the vacuum dustin for a mop add-on, which once filled with water will go around the house and clean tiled floors. Overall, I am very impressed with this robot vacuum for the price. I have noticed a huge difference, where carpets always look clean when the device is used every day. Before getting this, I thought the idea was gimmicky, but it actually does a very good job and frees you up to do other things.
The most important thing to know about this robot is that you will start talking to it just like a pet. You can’t help but praise it when it does well – and chastise it when it messes up! Which it doesn’t do often.
I have both wood floors and carpets. I was pleased by the hoover’s work on both. I would say though that for a very deep clean I would still resort to a traditional mop and hoover. I had some stubborn stains on my kitchen floor and had to set the mop function on a ‘spot clean’ function for quite a while. However it did eventually clean.
I’d use this for a light daily clean – the kind when you want to clean your floor, but you don’t want to get out the mop and bucket. It’s great to be able to set the app to get the hoover to clean when you’re out. You can set the app to send you little texts telling you when it’s completed.
I wouldn’t be without this now – not only is it a great little cleaner, but I’ve also got a new friend.
Oh my, what is not to love about this! I really wasn’t sure what to expect from a vacuum robot cleaner but this definitely exceeded them anyway! It is slightly larger than a dinner plate and around 2 inches thick; it feels very light to lift and removing the dust collector is super easy! It even has an attachment that you can add to mop the floor too!
Super easy to use in the basic mode; just put it on the floor, press start and it goes; the remote has 3 basic functions in terms of direction etc. which worked fine for my purposes. You can download an app and programme it to do all sorts but I haven’t tried that.
It takes itself back to the charging unit when it’s finished or needs charging up; charge lasts well. I think if you lived in a house with lots of dog hair, dust and heavy traffic, it might not be suitable as it would need emptied more often, but it’s perfect for someone living alone, with mobility problems and low traffic in the house.
Great product, loved it!
This robot vaccum cleaner is very easy to set up and use.
It has remote control, but there are more functions which could be programed by installing a mobile phone app.
I didn’t have to install the mobile app as I already had Tuya Smart installed – this is my favourite app to control all my smart devices and it worked flawlessly with this robot vacuum too.
Tuya automatically linked it to Alexa and now all I need to say is “Alexa, vacuum cleaner on” and the robot starts cleaning.
The vaccum itself looks well made from a good quality plastic, sturdy and durable.
I charged it fully before the first use. I took me a bit over four hours as it had some charge on arrival.
The battery life is very good and drops very slowly.
Vaccum is quiet, my pets are not afraid of it and it does not disturb me while I’m working from home.
It has nice logical lines cleaning pattern while vacuuming, I just wish they would be longer. There are many cleaning patterns to choose from.
It builds the map of cleaning, so it knows where it has to clean and I can see which areas it has cleaned.
The map can be viewed in the app together with other informations – cleaning time, pattern, battery percentage etc.
It climbs carpets from the wooden floor very well. It does bump occasionally into furniture, but bumpers activate the sensors which immediately change the direction of movement.
It cleans well hard floors, but also short hair carpets.
This robot vaccum is brilliant as it has rotating brush and side sweepers guide debris/dust into it so it lifts easily my cat’s and dog’s hair and flufs from the carpet.
It cleans much better than I expected!
When programmed to go back to charging station it goes back straight to it without having problems to find it and in a very efficient way without doing unnecessary moves. It went straight to the docking station from the other room, in order to do it it had to go through two doors – just brilliant!
I found it easy to maintain and clean filters.
The dust bin is a bit small for our household because of my pets, but at least it is easy to empty it.
This robot vaccum can also wash the floor, it has water container and detachable microfiber mop cloth.
It came with spare guiding brushes and mop.
The cleaning is not perfect, this could be because I have quite a lot of furniture in my house, but it is much better than my other brand robot vaccum, you can’t even compare them really.
Hoovers well, looks and feels of a good quality, quiet and easy to use with a good battery life, so I would hapilly recommend it.
This is my first robo-vac. Overall I was very pleased with a few caveats.
Firstly, it cleans really well. I was surprised on how well it did on both hardwood floors and tiles as well as carpets. It picked up a lot of dust and the battery was excellent – running for a good 50 minutes before returning to base.
The intelligence side of the vac is ok, but I expect that more expensive models would be better. When I put it on smart mode and left it to roam around my kitchen, lounge and dining room it kept going finding it’s way around the furniture and never getting stuck. It went under coffee tables and managed to disentangle itself from electrical cables. However, it didn’t always take the most intelligent route, going backwards and forwards sometimes on the same piece of floor. Overall though, it did all of the rooms eventually.
The dust collector is quite large and very easy to empty. Build quality is reasonable, though again I expect more expensive models would last longer. The plastics felt a little bit flimsy.
Overall though I have to say this is excellent value of money and very happy to give it 4 stars.
This little vacuum cleaner has been a suprise hit in our house. I say suprise as I didn’t think it’d actually work all that well, I was sceptical of the claims and functionality. But everything we’ve tried has worked, and emptying the dust collector makes it abundantly clear that it is picking up lots of material from the floor.
It manages to find its way back to the charge station reliably. And it is much quieter than a regular vacuum, we have no problems running it at night while we’re upstairs. Critically for us the hight is low enough that it can fit under the overhang on our kitchen cabinets. This is where out GTech upright has always struggled to get to. Using the wall following mode in the kitchen works brilliantly.
The only draw back is I found the wifi app very time-consuming to setup. This is because my home WiFi had 2GHz and 5Ghz on the same SSID, common in the UK, and my phone was also insisting on running on 5GHz mode (I think). Anyway the manual says this vacuum is 2Ghz only, and I think that is why I had so many problems. Had to disable lots of other things to get it all synced up.
But even without the Wifi app I had the vacuum up and running within minutes of unboxing. It’s dead easy and a hoot to watch.
