This works good for what I needed it for. I only wish the range of vision was better. It’s supposed to, but it seemed like it only worked if the intruder was right in front of it.
For some strange reason, despite the literally hundreds of acres of slough, river, creek bank, etc… surrounding us, the raccoons had decided to use our yard as a bathroom after eating food from our orchard trees! I tried several other deterrents not wanting to spend the money – none of them worked – until this sprinkler. Putting the sprinkler together and setting it up were easy as they were fortunately only pooping in one area in the yard. Our well water pressure is very high, so I had to keep the faucet turned down so as to avoid breaking the sprinkler, but even at about 1/8 turn the pressure is great and enough to stop the raccoons. The sprinkler appears sturdy despite many plastic parts and I figure it should last several seasons. The motion sensor works from a wide distance and the reach of the sprinkler is impressive as well. If/when this one breaks, I will be purchasing another one just in case they ever come back.
Let me start off by saying I have bought a TON of these types of things. Cheaper versions – tops blew off. Light or sound sensors – neighbor cats just strolled on by it. But this one…. Scared the cat and only sprayed it with water! So worth the money if yard critters are an issue! The sensor is very sensitive = catches all movement, even from plants. Still worth it!
Decent quality, keeps the deer away from the small bushes but I wish it was less fragile. It’s easily damaged by the deer striking it when they get startled by the sprinkler. Too bad because it works well.
Completely repelled deer from a high volume deer pathway area for about 2 years, then stopped working. Changed batteries, cleaned terminals, no help. now does not function at all – won’t turn on valve although I hear a slight click. No way to get inside to repair it.
Construction is sturdy and couplings held up OK.. Tripod is essential, don’t waste money on the stanchion model. Price has gone up substantially.
Tip – adjust it so it will hit the deer square in the chest. you can see heavy tracks where they pivot and run back from it. Yes it works.

100% effective for the area that it’s in. I have it set up on my back deck Which is 16
X 30 feet . My neighbor has 16 cats and climbing They keep having litters. I have a large backyard 45 feet by a 130 feet I will be buying At least 2 more to cover my whole backyard Not cheap but far superior to any other sprayer I’ve purchased. Me and my wife love to garden so it’s well worth it for us. I do recommend quick disconnects for the garden hose. I used Regular Dora cell batteries And they’re still working almost 4 months later I am very happy with this product no buyers remorse.
