Basic microwave which works well. Condensation does build up under the glass rotation plate, so we’ll need to keep an eye on that. At least you can see into the microwave when it’s on unlike the Samsung MS23F301TAK. We have one of these at work and I’ve lost count with the amount of staff whose milky drinks have boiled over!
    Overall, so far, so good.

This microwave is a direct replacement for a similar one I had for years. It simply does the job of heating food and is straightforward to use. Easy to clean. Good value for money

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI bought this when my old Panasonic finally bit the dust. This is, I believe, the newer version. It’s slightly more aesthetically pleasing and has more options on the display for quick and easy heating. I do find it slightly less powerful than its predecessor, eg reheating a drink took 50 seconds previously vs 110-120 with this version. But it’s a good microwave for the price and I trust this brand for longevity. I would certainly buy it again.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI simply wanted two reliable microwaves as I needed 4 in total for speed of entertaining – importantly with stainless steel interiors – it was like asking for the earth! Previous ones of varying makes were stupidly made from painted steel, which rusts through very quickly underneath the turntable. I was assured that these models were stainless steel, but acrylic coated inside – Why? – Surely not necessary. World war 3 will break out if it rusts! Manufacturers – PLEASE STATE WHETHER STAINLESS STEEL INSIDE OR NOT! Otherwise the machine is OK, but quite noisy for it’s size, but too small to put two small cereal/puding dishes in at once. The numerals which light up are not very large or bright, so I have difficulties in seeing them.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersA quick purchase as our microwave packed in at tea time and it’s used everyday. Very happy with it, we are quite tight for space as it lives in a cupboard, it fits perfectly with space around it. Fits a full size dinner plate and our tall glass jug easily. Very easy to use, there are simple quick use buttons and more indepth instructions if you wish. It’s used on a daily basis( I always forget to drink my coffee while it’s hot). Easy to clean. Extremely good value for money. Very pleased with it.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersPurchased this late 2022 – it’s now spring 2024 and the obvious plus is that it’s still working as it should 🙂

    Pros:
Interior hasn’t degraded, no rust, no breakages. I guess the most important thing people need to realize when setting expectations for a microwave is that most are not built to withstand cooking, contrary to advertised. If you use yours for simply reheating food, it will last you a long time, won’t rust (my first microwave from the late 90’s is also still in use, has no rust, always used to reheat only).

It’s not too big, neither too small, so again, for reheating bar big plates and tall glasses it’s perfectly sized.

    Cons:
One of the impractical things about using this microwave are the controls in a way. Yes, it’s got easy enough setting, but you always have to carefully watch what you’re doing. Despite having a “quick” button, it’s not so quick in reality – just adds 30sec. increments, opposed to 10sec. on standard buttons, so not sure what’s so quick about it. What you’d expect is one touch operation, but no, you have to press the Start button even if you used the Quick button, defeating its purpose. Our old one used to start right away with one press of the Quick named button.
You can only set time at 10 second increments and another downside is it’s not possible to add time while running – you have to stop it or wait till finished…
Light inside lights up when the door is opened and has no time after which goes off, so if you forgot the door opened, it keeps running in the dark

So, all in all, good and proven reliable in the last couple of years. If you can live with the practicality quirks, it’s a good all round choice.

Loved this microwave as it did everything I needed plus it was compact and took up little worktop space. But, just under 16 months later it has stopped working and Panasonic said its not worth repairing, think it was just under 100 when we purchased it. Because of this, I probably wouldn’t buy this model again.

My mistake for assuming this was a larger microwave than it actually is – should have taken more notice of the published dimensions! The reality is that it works perfectly and has all the features we need. However, it is much smaller than our previous microwave and we cannot put some cookware items in this one.

I’ve owned this microwave for years and just bought my daughter a new one when her previous one wore out. It’s an excellent piece of equipment and after more than 5 years is still in great condition, no sign of rust or other deterioration. It’s only disadvantage is that the compartment is quite tight, so it will take a dinner plate, but nothing larger or with large protruding handles, so it may not be suitable for everyone. The counter argument is that it does not take up too much space on the work surface.

The Panasonic NN-E28JBMBPQ Compact Microwave is a space-saving kitchen appliance. It offers quick and efficient heating with various power levels. The compact size is suitable for smaller kitchens, but the interior capacity might limit larger dishes. It’s easy to use and clean. Overall, a reliable choice for basic microwave functions in smaller spaces.

This microwave is fantastic. Perfect for 1-2 people. Heats up food quickly and evenly. My only gripe is that it’s quite small so it’s difficult to grab plates out of there with pot holders on either side. There’s just not very much room. In any case, I still love it.

No issues, great microwave. Only thing I miss is the last one I had gave you an automatic 30 seconds when you pressed the start button, this one doesn’t you always have to select a time first. It’s a good microwave, I’ve been using it for 6 months.

Initially very easy to use, also non stick surfaces equal ease of cleaning after use. Having previously had a two litre unit,I found it very restrictive as regards what you can air fry in it at a time. So I purchased this unit and find it far more useful re-volume and potential variety of food that can be cooked at time. The only modification that I have made is to shorten the recommended temperatures and times that have been advised by the producers of the food being air fried. This a little hit and miss but the slight effort is worthwhile for excellent results. I regard this purchase as ideal and perfect for my requirements.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersStrange but true. We had a sharp MW before and chose this one because the dimensions were identical. When the new one came, apart from a few minor differences in the program options – it is identical, even the turn table and wheeled plate bearer are interchangeable which is great, and we didn’t have to get used to it. The one it replaced went rusty, I hope this one doesn’t! I find it easy to use, its instinctive. My wife preferred the quick 1 minute button on the old one whereas this one has a quick 30 seconds instead, so I’ve taught her to press it twice where upon the displayed cooking time changes from 30 seconds to 1 minute – so all is well. It also has a 1 minute button as well as the quick 30 but she finds that a little complex, don’t get me started on the various uses of the 10 second button.it appears well built but so did the last one and that rusted through, I’m hoping Panasonic are better at painting than Sharp, but time will tell!

This was bought as a replacement for my aunt’s previous microwave oven.
She has taken a bit of time to adjust from setting and turning knobs to provide the time and power.
She is getting used to the operation of the oven, but it is not intuitive for her.
The instruction booklet could have done with more diagrammatic indications and instructions for her.
This is a well made microwave oven from a recognised manufacturer.
It is easy to use if you are used to digital products.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI got a black this time as I have had silver the last couple of microwaves, and I’m very happy with the colour. The black just blends into the background of the kitchen and looks sleek. The buttons are very clear and the microwave power is quick. All the family use it including 2 teenagers and there have been no issues. the door is easy to close and open and I’m happy with the make I would recommend for reheating dishes, cooking and steaming. Really good replacement for are old one.

Already owned a large Panasonic microwave for a number of years, following a kitchen refit we wanted a smaller microwave so liked the look of the black Panasonic. I bought this for my daughter two years ago. After almost daily use she’s given it back to me now she’s moved to a canal boat with no running electricity (unless she starts its diesel engine!).

It’s now replaced my own trusty microwave because this one is just so much easier to use, despite being slightly older. (My old one was very basic, with little in the form of programming.)

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersPlugged in and it works fine.

From my experience with other microwaves though, it would be nice to have a short back up for the clock, so the thing does not have to be readjusted after a power interruption.

The light should ideally be switchable either via the main on off switch or only switched on when the door is closed.

The last couple of microwaves I had rusted under the plate and I try to leave the doors open now in order to allow the air to circulate inside. With the door open the microwave light is on, this is unnecessary as few people look deep inside the microwave when the door is open unless for cleaning. If I unplug, the clock needs resetting though!

I’m happy though and would buy another, although the price was well beyond what I used to pay for one of these, it is still one of the items I can buy cheaper on Amazon rather than trek to the shops, very much cheaper in this case.

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our Usersi brought another one of these microwaves as my last one lasted from june 2017 to xmas day 2022, which to me is very good for a microwave in continuous every day use, even though this one is slightly smaller than my previous panasonic one which in 2017 cost me 55, i guess most of the price rise is due to the war in ukraine & the fact everything has gone up at least 50% since summer 2017, 4 pints of milk was 1.10 in 2017 but now its 1.85 & rising every week or every time you go to the supermarket to buy it. but as a product its excellent, easy to use, the only gripe i would have with it is that when you press start & the timer starts counting down is that you cant no longer see what setting you are on & sometimes i have been on high when i should of been on de-frost & vise versa.

Golden Review Award: 14 From Our UsersThis microwave is much smaller than the last standalone unit I owned, but big enough to take a 10.5″ plate without tilting, with more room inside once past the door frame. Other reviewers commented about the smart looks and I wondered how anyone could get excited by a microwave. But I have to say, they’re not wrong. It’s small size and lack of knobs and handles makes it look strangely pleasing – plus it’s so easy to clean. The cooking is much more even than our previous unit, and it cooks faster too, even though our previous unit was 900W. My only tiny gripe is that you can’t just hit ’30 sec’ and expect it to start – you then have to hit ‘go’.
