There was a problem with the item, but I contacted support and in only a few hours I got a new item sent to me!!! Besides the problem (that was maybe just a cable issue…) the service was SO FAST AND GOOD, I most recommend this seller!!!

The problem was that the docking station stopped recognizing the computer feed. Since when the problem did not occur it works well, and even more due to the fast and good service, the value for money is very high!

    MOST RECOMMENDED!!!
(It is the way problems are delt with that separate the BEST from the others)

This product does what it says it does. I am able to hook up my MacBook(2021 Air) to one of my monitors via HDMI, the other one via VGA(Thanks to the adapter they send us). And it was able to extend the display, not just replicate (Which I found many other docking stations only did that for MAC)

The most important thing is to make sure you download the latest firmware. I went to their website and downloaded the firmware onto my mac and everything worked out so well.

PS. I have been using it for 1 whole day and had 0 troubles. I will update this post if I run into issues

It worked without drivers for two of my computers, worked after installing for a third, but doesn’t work for my work computer. Not the docks fault. Still works as a powered hub for the work computer, including audio, so I still use it with my work computer, just had to get creative with the displays. My SO uses it for two monitors and all peripherals without major issue.

I wanted a dock that would allow me to run two screens with my Lenovo Yoga 13 running Windows 8 (don’t ask) and one USB 3.0 port (no USB C). I was skeptical that I could find one, but for $100 bucks, this seemed worth trying. While it required a driver download (as stated in the updated Quick Start guide) and I had to search for one on the DisplayLink website, it installed without issue and I’m up and running. It would be nice if it had two HDMI ports and a DisplayPort port. I had to source a DVI-DVI cable but no biggie. I’m very happy I found a reasonably priced solution for my ancient laptop.

This thing works great. Additionally, in order for it to work, I had to download DisplayLink driver and add it to Screen Recording. Enabling Screen Recording on Mac OS 12 was not available in the instruction. Otherwise, everything works flawlessly. Love this. I now have all of my existing 4 monitors connected without any problem initially. Will have to wait and see about the device’s longevity, though.

Researched for quite some time for a docking station needed to expand my Predator with only 1 HDMI port due to some upcoming programming, networking, and aging eyeballs.
This was truly plug and play and came with 2 adapters. Currently using USB for mouse, headset, speakers with aux cable and monitor. Still have room left and room to spare on the laptop.

If there are any issues within the year I’ll update but this was the easiest thing I’ve installed this month.

Good docking station. This hub works very well with Microsoft Surface Model 1824. Surface actually works better once the MS keyboard was removed and I added a plain USB keyboard and mouse to the hub. First month use – no problems. For the MS Surface I downloaded the DisplayLink driver from the Plugable website, installed driver, reset Surface, all worked perfect from the start.

Comes with required connector adaptors for VGA/HDMI monitors. Enough USB ports to support keyboard, mouse, other charging cables you might need at your desk. No heating issues. Works perfectly with MacBook pro with m1 chip.

    Improvements:
The cable for(hub to laptop) connection could have been a bit longer.
I wish it was slightly smaller in size.

This docking station from PLUGable is the perfect device for me to extend the useful life of my legacy PC.
Not just for extending legacy equipment, but for modern current equipment also.

I bought this for my legacy tower PC.
My video card had failed and I could not find a legacy video card any where or find drivers for any that I did find. Trying to install a modern video card resulted in incompatibilities and a failed installation.
So, I was stuck having to use the PC’s VGA internal graphics . That did S*K bigly.

    Until I discovered PLUGable…

So after much Internet and YouTube searching I finally discovered PLUGable…
I had never known about docking stations until I found PLUGable.
Then I discovered that there is a whole market for these things….

I decided upon PLUGable for its detailed product description on its website and the YOUtube videos I watched. No other docking station did as good a job convincing me to choose a docking station from PLUGable. And being a USA company in Seattle, Washington with TECH SUPPORT….. was such a PLUS.

Let me say, their TECH SUPPORT in a day when tech support is very expensive is OUTSTANDING.

My tech support rep provided me such a learning experience using this device I was overwhelmed and feel incredibly grateful for their support. Top notch. They go beyond what you’d expect from tech support from any company these days. I exchanged at least 15 emails with my rep and he replied to all my questions with unparalleled professionalism and USEFUL information. I filled in more knowledge blanks about my computer with him than I could have learned from hours of Internet searching… all of it very incredibly useful and helpful. You cannot buy tech support like that.

PLUGable…. this is your docking station….
    10 STARS

I had previously purchased a small (different brand) docking station around 30-40$ But there were limited ports and it was constantly hot the cord to dock to the laptop was extremely short. This product resolves all my previous issues TONS of ports, long cords to plug in the device and to plug the docking station to the laptop worth the money! Docking station doesn’t get hot and there is no loud fan noise or anything. Wish I had bought this from the get-go! GREAT PRODUCT

Relatively affordable USB C dock. I purchased this for my work office — I have a laptop provided, but mostly work at my desk and prefer to use a real mouse, keyboard, monitor etc. I plugged in the included USB C cable and it was instantly recognized and I was up and running within minutes. Currently running a USB keyboard and mouse, DVI monitor and speakers through an AUX connection. No problems at all. My current work laptop is a Lenovo Yoga x1 and this dock was a fraction of the price of Lenovo’s official product. This doesn’t include power through the USB C connection but that is OK and what I expected going on. While still not a super cheap buy, I think this device is useful enough that it’s ultimately worth it.

    – Drive two monitors, DVI-I port to VGA adapter, HDMI port
    – (4) USB 2.0 ports, wired keyboard, wired mouse, printer, hi-res scanner
    – Gigabit Ethernet connection, audio (speaker) connection

I needed a basic, simple, and cost-effective laptop docking station for my home office. Since I have used laptop docking stations at work, I was generally familiar with how they generally work. The set up for this model is pretty simple, and I would have had it set up an running faster of the Quick Start Guide didn’t have a bad link to the display driver. The correct page to download the driver is: plugable.com/pages/displaylink.

After installing the display driver, the rest is just plug-and-play. It appears to have sufficient power to run my external hard drives and USB hub. Thus far, everything plugged into the unit has worked properly, including my USB speakers. I also like the adapters that come with the unit, so I can run dual monitors if I wish and it comes with a USB-C connector should I upgrade my laptop. So far, I am satisfied with this purchase.

I bought this to simplify my life as far as switching between work and home laptops. This unit is great. Allows me to simply unplug my personal laptop from my setup and slot my work laptop right into place. Bonus I had was my power adapters for both laptops were interchangeable. unplug 2 cables and swap and plug them back in. Couldn’t be easier.

I’m using this to run an old school AOC 21 inch lcd monitor with VGA, and a mounted 15.6 portable lcd. It also gives me plenty of USB ports for my external hard drives, mouse, keyboard, etc. The integrated Ethernet and sound output are also great for taking full advantage of my Fiber connection and lag free audio for movies and videos. All in one connection point.

Only hiccup is occasionally when I go to wake up my machine after its been sitting a while (its on all the time, 6 second boot up is still to long lol) only the laptop comeback up and the docking station doesn’t respond. I don’t know if that’s a sleep function on the unit or my laptop waking up confused. But a quick unplug and replug bring it all back to life in no time flat.

DH needed a dock that would work with his work laptop (meaning administrator privileges are VERY tight). Problem we needed to solve was finding a docking station that didn’t require downloading any software (and also wanted to get a universal docking station so we could use our home laptop with the multiple monitor set-up too). After copious hours of research, this unit was the winner. My dismay came when Step One in the instructions in the Quick Start Guide was to download the drivers! But it was promoted as being plug and play! As completely expected, downloading any software on the work laptop was restricted. The situation was explained to the company IT support. He said “bring it in and I’ll take a look”. Lo and behold, he connected the monitors to the dock (using the handy-dandy HDMI to DVI connector supplied in the box for moninto number 2), connected the dock and the laptop with the USB C cable provied and – voila – the screens came to life. Quick adjustment to set the diplay to extend and we’re good to go. NO DRIVER DOWNLOAD NEEDED! My point is, why oh why, does the Quick Start Guide say “download the driver” in step number one? If we didn’t have the IT support to demonstrate it wasn’t required, the thing would have been sent back to Amazon in frustration.

Very nice. Works great with my devices. These come with video adapters and multiple usb options. Very impressed with that. Seems high quality. My only complaint is that the power cables for these are very short. This seems like a major oversight on their part. The power cable won’t reach from a users machine to under their desk I am sure in many cases.
