How It Works
1. Germicidal UV Lamp The air first sweeps past the germicidal ultraviolet light after entering the air inlet. The UV light is lethal against harmful, airborne micro-organisms such as germs, viruses, bacteria and fungi (such as mycotoxins from mould).
2. Collects Particles & Pollutants Airborne particles and pollutants are magnetically attracted to the metal dust collection plates, like a magnet. The built in fan, along with the electronic breeze, draw pollutants through the unit and its magnetically-charged plates. Then, you simply wipe the plates clean periodically, removing them from the environment.
When the metal dust collection plates become full of particulate and residue, simply wipe them off with a damp cloth. Then, dry the plates and reinsert. It’s that easy. The amount of contamination collected by the rag will give you and idea of how much airborne pollution is being removed. You Can Really See the Difference!
3. Circulates Negative Ions Negative ions are accelerated in large numbers throughout the room, removing airborne particles and pollutants from the air.

We have 3 dogs in ours house and needed something to freshen the air, but without the use of artificial air fresheners that just mask any odour. This ionising unit has been great at keeping our living room odour free since we got one 2 years ago. Without the fan it’s almost silent, so we forget it’s there. Every so often we turn it off to give it a clean, only then do we realise how well it works as the room gets a bit of a doggie smell.
If you want cleaner indoor air without artificial perfumes and having to buy expensive filters, this is a great unit to buy.
PureMate PM 210UV Ionic Air Purifier & Ioniser arrived in 6 days, (UK to Greece via UPS), it seems like a great product, but it was boxed with a UK wall socket plug and not an EU standard wall socket, (It does not offer the option on its selling options). So I improvised using another DC converter (my Seagate external hard drive DC plug) And it is dame so light and quiet. Until my son came home and stated “what is that high pitch noise and fan humming”? So if your ears frequency is low like mine <12.000hertz you can bearly hear the low noise, but if you have kids or teens they hear better than us at >17.000hertz. Not noted in the specs, you need to clean it every fortnight that’s two weeks if on most of the day!
I’ve had this product switched on in the sitting room since I got it it’s worked extremely well purifies the air doesn’t leave any smells around the house and why asks about sleep mode I do not know
Super easy to set up, sleep mode is no noise – fan mode is quiet – very impressed so far as there is a noticible difference in air quality. I live in an area where there is atmospheric pollution.
Arrived on time, very easy to operate ,a well built machine, pleased with the purchase.
So far I’ve not noticed a difference, it’s been on continuously since it arrived . Although I am very healthy, maybe this has something to do with it.
The unit came well packaged and able to cope with the riggers of delivery.
It is well constructed and has a solid feel about it.
It’s difficult to know if it really works but having read up on ionisers I believe there is some benefit in using one. It runs very quietly and does collect dirt on the polarized plates, as it’s designed to do.
I am happy with this purchase and pleased to recommend it to others.
