When I received this boom arm I can honestly say that I was entirely happy with the product I received. It is DEFINITELY worth the extra cash for the confidence in the quality you get.

Some things to note – This boom arm is heavy duty meaning you will need a heavy mic to use it – for reference – I use a Sure SM7B (not sure the exact weight) and the arm works perfectly.

You get good length when fully extended, and there is a support for your wire at the top of the mic arm to keep your workspace neat. There are 3 Velcro straps included, along with everything needed for assembly, BOTH for desk mounted and permanent installation (drilled into desk).

The product feels secure in every way, and does not move an inch when fixed to the desk using the desk mount. Safe to say this thing will not move if you don’t want it to.

The material is top quality and even the plastic parts – desk mount and knobs etc. – feel extremely sturdy.

I have used cheaper stands before this one and they simply don’t compare. Even mid range price always seem to falter.

If you want something that will last and deliver in every aspect, I recommend this product. My thoughts generally are, if you can afford to spend a little extra on this equipment, you will notice a big difference. It is definitely worth investing in these aspects of your setup, and from what I can tell, this boom arm will last for many many years.

    10/10 worth it.

Had 2 cheap boom arms before this and both ended up breaking.
This feels much more premium and have had no issues so far.
    Works great with my AT2035
The money you’ll spend on replacing cheap arms in the long run will be less than just going with this, many professionals use this and for good reason, would recommend.

I have this to hold a Rode NT mic, and it has performed faultlessly from the day I bought it until now. Spring action and damping is still strong, no sign of squeaks or grinding noises despite regular adjusting. Clamps reassuringly into place on the desk so it always feels solid. Pricier than a budget mic arm but honestly worth every penny.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersGreat boom arm, if you have some money and can overspend buy it thought keep in mind alot of cheaper alternatives are out there.
What i’ll say is its done me well and not an issue. Sturdy and clearly good quality, BUT YOU NEED TO have a microphone with some weight behind it or the arm will be moving by itself.

There are a tonne of cheap boom arms available, and that is exactly what they are: cheap in every possible respect. After checking a lot of youtube videos, I finally decided that I was going to spend proper money rather than try to skimp on this. And once I unboxed the arm, I was was absolutely delighted with my decision. This is a really beautiful, sturdy, fully functional, solid boom arm, and probably the best thing you can buy for that sort of money. (I recall when I bought it that it was way better according to many of the reviews than the Blue equivalent.)

I bought this for my Blue Yeti, have been using it constantly for the last 2 years, and am still delighted with my decision. If you’re serious about recording audio, you need an arm, and you don’t want to get a cheap arm, period. Get this instead, I still think it’s the best thing you can get for any price range really.

I was someone who thought alli needed for decent sound was a decent mic and compressor, and what bit of change I had left I bought a cheap arm, because why not, it makes no difference to the sound surely… Well that just showed how naive I was. I then threw good money after bad, buying shock absorber, when I knew the arm isn’t strong enough (despite claims otherwise,a comment I since read all the time). What’s worse is those cheap arms have METAL springs to try hold the weight. Metal springs twang and vibrate at the very slightest touch or nudge of the desk, even using keyboard the vibrations ran up the cheap stands.. and my quality mic recorded it all very nice and clear. At that point I knew I needed a stand I occasionally saw with no springs, that’s this one, it cost 3* as much, and I can only suggest if you are gonna bother buying an arm because you understand that having the mic near your mouth matters, then don’t skimp on a twangy arm. This holds my 3 year old blue yeti pro and associated shock absorber/pop guard with zero issues.

I looked at a number of alternatives that looked better (solid appearance) and we’re also considerably more expensive. After reading the reviews of the Rode I’m pleased I picked it. It just works, and does so very well. I’ve added a blue Radius iii and a Razer Seirin and it’s very easy to move and adjus

This installed very easily indeed (I used desk clamp), was secure from get-go and has perfect stability (with my AT2020+shock mount). Very happy with purchase…

Before buying this, I had a cheaper sprint-loaded version I bought from Amazon too. This was fine at first, but quickly started to feel cheap and would make a “clang” noise whenever I moved it, which for podcasting/streaming isn’t great. After buying a new desk I also discovered it nearly impossible to remove from the old desk, and it had infact left a massive hole in the desk, the pin bent trying to get it off, it was awful, and I didn’t want that to happen to my new desk.

So after seeking some advice, I bought this RODE arm and haven’t looked back. It’s silent, it’s beautiful, and it manoeuvres easily. I did feel a bit of an idiot when setting it up however, as none of it is tightened, so it springs back straight away, and there isn’t a manual or anything to tell you how to adjust this (you just turn the screws on each joint to tighten them to your liking).

Overall, a great arm which I will be using for many years to come, well worth the investment – buy cheap, buy twice!

After previously using an arm that was stuck in a 45 degree angle at maximum, the difference in having a good one is staggering. Being able to have my mic exactly where i want it and free up all that extra space is really helpful.
It was easy to set up and doesn’t make a sound – no creaks or spring sounds at all.
The velcro wire bands were something i wasn’t expecting to be included but they’re definitely a welcome surprise. I like keeping my cables tidy.

This is so much better than the cheapo versions, wasted money buying cheap should have gone for this in the first place, i now have two and looking at getting 3. Well worth the money in my opinio

Stays in place even with a heavy King Bee mike attached. Worth paying a bit extra for something that works.

I hear people complaining about their mic stands constantly. I’ve not had a single issue with this one, make sure you check the weight of your mic first though, I have seen some people struggle with a light mic and need to add weight to the base of their mic.

After about a month the unit wasn’t able to support the weight of the PodMic. When you adjusted or moved the arm it dropped.
Contacted Rode and they agreed to fix the issue but there was a delivery charge to send it back.
I contacted Amazon and they swapped it for me.
This second one seems a lot better.

I am not a pro or a content creator, I upgraded my home mic and needed an arm to get it into the right place and this arm holds my Pd-70 with ease. I like the flexibility of attaching to the desk with or without drilling into the desk itself.

Tighten up the arm points and everything is very sturdy.

To me it seems well worth the money!
