Days out at our five RHS Gardens
- The RHS owns five gardens across the UK: Wisley in Surrey, Harlow Carr in North Yorkshire, Hyde Hall in Essex, Rosemoor in Devon and Bridgewater in Greater Manchester.
- RHS members can visit the gardens as many times as they like during their membership, and individual membership includes admission for a family guest or two children.
- Family events are held during school holidays, and our imaginative play areas are very popular with our younger visitors.
- All RHS Gardens hold regular horticultural talks, demonstrations and walks for gardeners at all levels, as well as flower shows and craft fairs.
- Through our gardens, we help gardeners across the UK and overseas by providing access to diverse plant collections, examples of innovative and attractive planting design and good horticultural practices.
- The RHS works in partnership with more than 200 Partner Gardens across the UK and overseas, with access for members at various times of the year.
Gardening Inspiration and Advice
- RHS members receive an annual subscription to our monthly magazine The Garden. Each edition is packed with articles and stunning photography of beautiful gardens to inspire your own gardening exploits, along with practical hints and tips on all things horticultural.
- Our gardening experts provide personalised gardening advice to RHS members. Whatever the thorny question, whether large or small, they are certain to know the answer!
- Regular member updates with handy tips and exclusive content.
- The RHS Seed Scheme has been helping gardeners to grow from seed since 1905. The scheme draws upon our diverse plant collections and wealth of expertise to offer members seed harvested from RHS Gardens. Covering 175 species, it contains a range of plants including annuals, herbaceous perennials, trees and shrubs, some of which are rare and unusual.

- The RHS organises flower shows at Hampton Court Palace, Chelsea and Tatton Park and we also help to organise the RHS Malvern Spring Festival.
- RHS Flower Shows are fabulous for days out with friends and family – with inspirational gardens, educational talks, fabulous food and lots of opportunities for retail therapy!
- RHS members benefit from reduced ticket prices on public days at our shows, as well as access to exclusive Members Days.

- RHS Hilltop – The Home of Gardening Science, at RHS Garden Wisley, is our dedicated horticultural scientific centre of excellence.
- The ‘RHS Sustainability Strategy’ was launched in Sept 2021 and our Gardening for the Environment Campaign shows gardeners how they can make a difference with 10 simple tasks.
- We offer a variety of qualifications from the Level 1 Certificate through to the Master of Horticulture.
- For gardeners of the future, we run the Campaign for School Gardening, involving over 34,000 schools, to encourage as many children as possible to get growing.
- The RHS organises the annual Britain in Bloom campaign, involving more than 1,000 urban and rural communities.
- We also link to community groups through the It’s Your Neighbourhood scheme and a host of Affiliated Societies.
