RIDGID 31803 Stainless Steel Tubing Cutter quickly and easily cuts stainless steel tube to the length you need. Featuring an innovative design, the metal tube cutter has 12 individual bearings that replace traditional rollers.
These bearings create a smoother cut and allow for increased speed around the tube. Also helping to deliver a smoother cut, the specially designed stainless steel cutter wheel contains bearings in the hub, decreasing drag around the tube.

Worked well for cutting stainless steel tube for balustrade , nice and clean cut , simple , sturdy .

Lo strumento si presenta solido e ben fatto. Lo utilizzo per tagliare principalmente tubi in acciaio inox e fino a 3mm di spessore non ha alcun tipo di problema. Il taglio risulta preciso.
Nel caso di uso intensivo su acciaio inox consiglio comunque di acquistare a parte delle lame di ricambio.

Sehr gut verarbeitet. Mit innovativer Schnellbettigung zum ffnen (beim drcken schnellt der Griff durch Federkraft nach hinten) und schlieen (einfach nach Griff nach vorne fhren). Eine Ersatzmesserrolle ist im Griff untergebracht. Die Messerrolle lsst sich schnell wechseln. An der Stelle groes Lob an den Hersteller.
Jedoch kann man die 12 Rollen nicht ohne weiteres heraus nehmen. Wenn man sie z.B. richtig reinigen mchte. Dann mssen die Haltebolzen aus dem Gehuse geschlagen werden.
An der Stelle htte ich mir die gleichen Schnelllsebolzen wie dem an der Messerrolle gewnscht.
Das Werkzeug ist relativ teuer fr je nach dem welchen Einsatz man es und vor allem Dingen wie oft man es verwenden muss. Ist eher schon etwas fr den professionellen Metallbereich oder jemanden der privat viel Schweit und dafr perfekt die Rohre zurecht schneiden muss.

It’s very good and I’ve named it liviu after my brother who christened it honestly it cuts through pipe nicely I’ll be honest I should of brought the nerrad ratchet because I needed to alter and I couldn’t with this but I like it it’s compact and It sits in the bag nicely
Needed for cutting .1 mm wall and 1.67 OD railing tubing. Worked without issue. 10 turns did the trick. 5 cuts.

Ich war recht skeptisch, ob ich mit einem so kleinen Werkzeug einen Zaunpfosten von 4 cm Durchmesser krzen kann, zumal ich nicht gerade krftige Arme und Hnde habe. Es war total einfach. Ohne groen Kraftaufwand waren innerhalb krzester Zeit 10 Zaunpfosten gekrzt.
War zuerst skeptisch wegen des relativ hohen Preis, aber ich bin mit dem Schnittergebnis bei Edelstahlrohr mit 3mm
Wandstrke super zufrieden und muss sagen dass das Gert jeden Cent wert ist.

Perfect for what I needed. I am often required to work with stainless; this make it much easier to install compared with using huge heavy duty cutters. I would definitely recommend buying. Can complete a job in much less time now.

I had the idea of making wind chimes out of electrical conduit. Cutting to the correct length is critical, and using a cutoff wheel on a grinder was difficult and error-prone. This allows me to cut very precisely, and it is very easy to use. I am very happy with it.
Great tool. I used it for 40mm diameter 3mm wall stainless steel balustrade. The only problem is it pinches internal wall slightly but after a rasp and sand the top caps slipped in perfectly. Would recommend to anyone installing glass balustrades. I cut 10 posts perfectly in a half hour.
Very well designed and constructed. The design makes it easy to position the cutting blade exactly where you want the cut, as well as to obtain square, even cuts. Much better than any other cutter I’ve used. It’s pricey, but well worth the cost.
Great set of cutters for cutting carbon steel, they can be used on copper as well without having to change the wheel.
All round best cutters to buy if working with carbon steel frequently.

Nach ca. 30 Schnitten schwchelt das Schneidrad, aber das drfte dem Einsatz an der Spezifikationsgrenze geschuldet sein.
And oh yes, it really works. The tool’s frame is solid and free of unwanted deflection, while the rollers and cutting wheel are smooth and friction free in use due to their rolling element bearing construction. The very first cut I made was flawless, and only took a couple of minutes. Using the screw knob, apply firm pressure to the cutting wheel against the workpiece, then roll the tool back and forth around the tube’s diameter, retightening to maintain cutting wheel pressure as the cut progresses. There’s no need to apply excessive pressure — use only enough to maintain cutting.
The instructions say that the tool can handle material thickness up to 3 mm. I wasn’t able to try that, but on my 18 gauge tubing it was flawless. There’s a spare cutting wheel in the handle, but I bought a couple of extras to have on hand (about $15).

Good quality cutter that works on Copper tubing and cuts copper like butter. The ball bearings keep the tube turning without effort. Gave it 4 stars because this particular cutter is made in China.

I needed this to cut down the too-tall stainless steel table legs on my two 30 x 96 tables (12 legs total). This WORKED LIKE A CHARM!!! and yet again another quality tool by Ridgid, you pay alittle more but well worth the expense. I bought this cutter for cutting stainless steel sleeves it cuts them quickly and does not scare the stainless at all, The roller bearings in the cutting wheel and in the rollers make cutting pipe smooth and effortless. I would say it cuts through pipe in half the time of a standard ridgid pipe cutter.
As with most tools from Rigid, it does the job it was designed well. Should have been 5 stars but the pin that holds the cutting wheel keeps working loose.
Was putting in a RailEasy Cable Railing l, which requires pipes to counteract the wires. Did the job well, with little effort.

geht schnell, man(n) braucht keinen Schraubstock zum halten, sehr genauer, passender Schnitt, wenig Grat
man wollte aber wissen, dass der schnitt “eingedrckt” wird also die Kante auen leicht gerundet und nciht scharfkantig ist.
ich kenne solche Teile in klein und billig fr CU Rohre und die scheinenden kein Edelstahl. hier klappt alles gut !

This is an amazing pipe cutter. Fit and finish are fantastic and it is ultra easy to use. Bearing rollers are smooth and effortless. I wish that they made this about 1/2 inch wider so that it could accomodate 3+ inch pipe.

This is a well made cutter that did an excellent job cutting through my 1 3/4″ pipe.
Die Mechanik auf der das Schneidrad sitzt kann mit einem kleinen Hebel entriegelt werden und wird dann von einer Feder auf die maximale Weite gestellt. Danach kann man die Rollen am Werkstck ansetzen und das Schneidrad an das Rohr fhren – dazu einfach auf den Knauf drcken. Zur Feineinstellung durch Drehen am Knauf die Schneide leicht ans Rohr pressen. Eine Markierung trifft man dabei mit sehr guter Genauigkeit.
Der Abschneider wird dann um das Rohr gedreht und dabei die Spannung am Knauf nachgezogen. Nach einigen Umdrehungen ndert sich das Gerusch und mit der nchsten Umdrehung ist das Rohr getrennt.
Ich habe das Abschneiden erst mit einem Stck 20mm Alurohr gebt und mich dann an das 50mm Stahlrohr der Mbel getraut. Beides klappte ohne Verlaufen, absolut przise und ohne Kraftaufwand. Ich stelle mir vor, ich htte dafr eine Sge genommen…
Zum Thema Preis:
Wenn ich die Fe zum Krzen einem Stahlbauer gegeben htte (den ich erst htte suchen mssen), dann htte das vermutlich hnlich viel gekostet wie dieser Rohrabschneider. Das Ergebnis ist perfekt, ob das bei billigeren Werkzeugen auch so gut gewesen wre – vielleicht!?
