Consiglio l’acquisto a chi vuole iniziare a produrre in casa i propri pezzi.
Spend a few days so far in this machine and it works perfect.
Also in very good condition.
I updated It to the latest firmware no problem.
Only Flaw cant register with Roland cloud as it as
Most likely been done by the previous owner. Though waiting Mail from Roland to sort it.
And it’s a very good all
Round stand alone.
Covers everything from start to finish. Practically everything interesting & great Roland has produced over decades is easily and diretly available with this machine. The library is enormous. Drums, synths, tones, sampling, effects. Plus its immensely expandable.
Easy to use. Portable. Solid & well built.
Usual outstanding Roland support.
Chose this over Akai MPC one due to previous appauling Akai support & failing updates.
The Roland MV-1 is the solid winner.
Will keep me creative, fascinated & busy for many years to come.
I’ve had this for a few days now, and I feel I’ve barely scratched the surface of its capabilities. I’ve always preferred DAW-less music making, and this has instantly replaced my Electribe 2 / Volcas / PO33ko / Tascam setup – they’ve all literally been replaced by this one box. I use a midi controller keyboard for melodies, but the onboard pads are great quality. The whole box feels seriously robust.
Sound design takes a small amount of menu diving, but there’s about 3000 preset Roland drum & synth sounds which make good starting points. I haven’t tried the Vocal clips section yet, but arranging full tracks is simple once you get used to the workflow. Again, sampling takes a bit of setting up too – I had to watch a couple of videos to find what I was doing wrong.
Overall, this is a great machine and incredibly versatile. Sequencing patterns is simple, and the sound is seriously lush – really rich. I had a couple of issues getting used to the Looper track setup, even with the manual and YouTube guide, as it’s not exactly intuitive. Also, the Android app which interfaces with the Verselab is clunky as heck – I dumped it in favour of plain menu-diving.
But this is still a 5 star product waiting for a few firmware tweaks. I’d give it 4.5/5 but I can’t, so it’s a 4 for now.
Edit: Now I’ve got to grips with the loop tracks and the vocal section, this is definitely a 5 from me. Just amazing!
