The Royal British Legion is at the heart of a national network that supports our Armed Forces community.
We’re here through thick and thin – ensuring their unique contribution is never forgotten. We’ve been here since 1921 and we’ll be here as long as they need us.
We are the country’s largest Armed Forces charity, with 180,000 members, 110,000 volunteers and a network of partners and charities; helping us give support wherever and whenever it’s needed.

How we help
We provide lifelong support to serving and ex-serving personnel and their families.
Our support starts after one day of service and continues through life, long after service is over.
From providing expert advice and guidance, to recovery and rehabilitation, through to transitioning to civilian life – we can be by their side every step of the way. And it’s not just members of the Armed Forces but their families too.
If there is ever a reason we can’t help, our vast network will mean that we know someone who can.

Members of the Royal British Legion have been vital to our work since 1921 and continue to play a key role in supporting the Armed Forces community and championing Remembrance today.
After the British Legion was formed, members organised themselves into local branches and this system is still in place today.
Our membership stands at 180,000 spread over 2,500 branches worldwide, with branches in places as far as the Falkland Islands & Hong Kong.

We’ve campaigned on the issues that matter most to the Armed Forces community for 100 years and we’re continuing to adapt to their needs for the future.
The Armed Forces community we support has changed a lot over our history, from those who were called upon to serve in the First and Second World Wars to the veterans, serving personnel and families that we represent and support today.

From the creation of a dedicated TB hospital and providing emergency aid payments and food parcels to families in the wake of the First World War. To helping veterans get back into employment, supporting serving and ex-serving personnel with life changing injuries following conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan, supporting veterans and helping families impacted.

We have supported ex-Servicemen to find work after leaving the Armed Forces for 100 years.
The first four years of the British Legion’s existence coincided with the economic hangover from the First World War. It was a time of mass unemployment with 2 million people out of work (out of a population of 42 million) in 1921.

Easy to fix on indoor clothing for a neat appearance.
Personally I prefer this to a paper poppy as I work outside. Very pleased with it.

Standard traditional pin. Sometimes difficult to find leading up to Armistice Day
Always buy a year specific one for this great cause.
Great idea to put the year on it too…. Means people won’t get away with using the same one every year.
The size. I would be happy to pay more if the lapel pin was bigger. I wear mine on my coat but it’s so small it looks lost.

Just as i expected it to be. Good quality. Added to my previous years i have.
The product was what I expected, rememberance of the fallen. Such items should be available EVERY year!
The pin is fine, but it was crushed at some point, so the pin pierced the back. Not a major issue, but I’ll need to swap the back to avoid being pricked
