This is a nice cook pot but there is nowhere for the steam to vent when cooking so food gets watered down slightly.
I originally just wanted a bigger slow cooker but saw this. It’s large capacity and much more than just a slow cooker. It roasts, steams, cooks rice to perfection and so much more. What’s more, its so easy to clean. Just remove the control panel and put the rest of it in the dishwasher. Really pleased I purchased i
Bought for my son at uni and is in constant use
We cooked chicken curry, with leeks and its succulent. Then we try to roast the chicken, thats also looking good. Very easy and do not need to go back and forth on looking at the kitchen, afraid of the cooking will g burnt or cook unwel. 8/10.
Replacement for my standard slow cooker which only had the slow cook function. This looks good, is super easy to clean, I do it by hand no need to put in dishwasher. The steam function is amazing for vegetables and poached eggs. I have used the sear function for meat and veg prior to slow cooking. The instructions are easy to follow and very clear. I absolutely love i
I love cooking in it and it’s so easy to install and clean afterwards. The Settings are pretty much explanatory and makes everything so perfect to cook a quick meal while you’re enjoying some time with the family
I bought this multi cooker because it realy works well.its not too big and chunky.doesnt take up a lot of room.Iv only used the slow cooker and the steamer and it steams food realy fast. Which is what I wanted. The durys out yet to see what a chicken in it is going to turn out like but if your looking for a realy handy multi cooker then this is a good buy.
This has turned cooking into a new fashion for my father, the searing/fry feature. Can now do two roast meats for Sunday lunch as it roasts a beef joint perfectly! Brilliant slow cooker, could not recommend enough!
This product is a good size its easy to clean and simple to use, would recommend.
Easy to use and easy clean,
So many uses too.
Highly recommend.
This is a very versatile piece of cooking kit. Easy to use and dishwasher safe. Cooking trays provided for different functions. What’s not to love
I have tried a few dishes so far in the cooker.
Chili Con Carne
Bolognese sauce
Thai Red curry
All have turned out very well.
Really useful addition, a lot more than a slow cooker. Excellent that the electronic element detaches, making it easy to clean.
Love this!
Cooked a roast chicken to perfection!
Did a large joint of beef perfectly!
Slow cooker is brilliant….
Used the sear function with the above beef which was so easy!
More than I’d usually pay but worth every penny
Great slow cooker only one downside, When you take the power cable out and transfer the pot to the table it doesn’t look very nice as there is the space for the power cable on show. Other than that it works perfectly just a bit ugly.
Not only does this product look great, the versatility in what it can do is great. East to use and such a bargai
I cooked my Christmas Turkey in it, I have cooked Currys, bacon, egg, sausage, spatcock chicken and more the downsides are the keep warm does just that it doesn’t keep it hot and doesn’t crisp skin or chips I have mot used my oven since I bought i
This has been brilliant! I don’t know how I lived without it! It’s so easy to use and what’s better is it’s easy to clean. This makes it so much more appealing to use! It’s so versatile and you can do all different things in it it’s so goodb
I mainly bought this to make chicken soup which is my main staple and it does the job very well. I’m really pleased with how the time and temperature are easy to adjust too.
The glass lid doesn’t’t help my anxiety though…
The best beef casserole I’ve ever made. Superb roast chicken. Red cabbage cooked in ginger beer was very tasty. Salmon sous vide was perfect. These are the dishes I’ve made so far, and I can’t think why I didn’t get one of these wonderful devices before.
Best slow cooker I have yet, better the crock po
So please I bought this does everything I want from it can’t recommend enough, have enjoyed cooking with i
I was originally looking for just a slow cooker when I stumbled upon the russell hobbs good to go. As always I looked at the reviews and at the questions people had asked before. One mentioned that the chicken looked white on the roast function. … and I thought Damn it was the whole reason that I bought this plus really keen to try souis vide cooking. THEN THIS AMAZING THING HAPPENED…… I READ THE INSTRUCTIONS! ………. AND IT STATES USE THE SEAR FUNCTION FOR THE GOLDEN SKIN BEFORE ROASTING! ( I don’t like the skin so I didn’t brown it long)
so that knocked that question out of the park. The next question was about timing and I found that my chicken was cooked perfectly and within time it did not take longer and the meat was falling off the bone and smells delicious and with next to no effort which is exactly what was needed after a long week at work.
The machine it’s self says it can be washed in the sink or machine and has been tested 100 washes so I think I would still clean it like a normal slow cooker would like mines to last although having the removable panel allowed me to serve much easier without worrying about how to manoeuvre it.
The machine has plenty of cooking options from boil, rice, roast ,souis vide, sear and look forward to being able to create some lovely recipies absolutely in my opinion worth the purchase instructions and timings are also easy to understand.
I love this, I bought it whilst my new kitchen was being installed snd it’s saved my bacon. A very versatile product, I’ve used it extensively as a slow cooker and for sauting / frying things off. Great for stews, curries and chillis. I’m going to branch out and roast a chicken next week. I think I will still use this even when my kitchen is finished.
It is so easy to cook inside and very easy to clea
he only NEGATIVE FOR ME IS that it has no inner bowl to lift out to clean. you have to be careful not to get any water in the socket when cleaning. I have roasted, casseroled steamed, slow cooked and even done a full english breakfast in it (fat free cooking in bacon and sausage juices). superb cooker and holds in all the flavour. i bought others before this that worked ok and one that did not even get hot, but this one so far surpasses all of them, and whats even better is THE PRICE. i have been able to get rid of all the other items from my kitchen worktop, so very happy. THOROUGHLY RECOMMENDED
Great product nice looking too, happy customer with no complaints
Definitely recommend this premium multi-cooker from a reliable brand, Russell Hobbs, at a reasonable price. It is multi functional, can be used for different cooking purposes, I use steam and slow cooker the most, as I like making rich soup overnight, and this cook did a fantastics job.
It has 6.5 big capacity, very sufficient for a big family like mine, we have 7 members. What I like the most is it is detachable from power, hence can be taken to table directly and also dish machine washable. This has made life so simple. Bravo!
Love this slow cooker. Have had lots in the past but but love the different methods you can use on this model
Happy with everything.just haven’t tried the sous vide. Got this in case our gas supply is cut off for peace of mind have a gas cooker. Slow cooker is good and roasted today for the first time. Surprisingly really good..certainly will be using it regularly. Looks good and found a place easily in my kitchen.
I’ve always used Crock Pot style slow cookers but am loving that I can brown onions and meat first and switch to slow cooking all in the same pot. Nice and lightweight and easy to clean. I can see that with it’s versatility I will enjoy experimenting with more recipes. Very happy with this appliance.
It’s amazing sears, roasts, steams, cooks perfect rice, stews and keeps it warm afterwards
We love this, so versatile, but mostly used as a slow cooker, easy to keep clean, I know we shall have great fun experimenting with all the different cooking ways
Used twice salmon lovely, mutton casserole superb and suet dumplings lovely
My new best friend.I have stopped buying dodgy takeaways at work.I am eating healthy and saving money.
Absolutely over the moon with this item it’s so easy to clean everything l have cooked in it has been amazing l will definitely buy another one
Seems to work ok as a regular oven, but needed to increase the duration a little bit.
I don’t usually go in for kitchen gadgets but this has blown me away. I bought it as I wanted to start Sous Vide cooking. It has been superb, allowing me to make awesome steaks, chicken and a leg of lamb. But as it is multi purpose I have used it to make a delicious hot pot too. It’s fantastic.
Edit: Just to add I am now addicted to Sous Vide Everything and Guga Food on YouTube and tried Guga’s Beef Rendang; yet another 10/10 performance from this awesome appliance. If I have any reservations at all I would say I suspect it cooks a little warmer than the gauge reads; but I guess that’s better than under. I will check it with a meat thermometer next time.
My old slow cooker had an accident so needed a replacement. This is so much more, the settings are great. If making a slow cook meal, I can brown my ingredients in this instead of a separate pan. My kids commented on how good the rice was! RICE! It’s just a really fantastic upgrade from my slow cooker for a very good price, really happy.
It’s very easy to use and you can cook lots of dishes. I love it.
This multi cooker is really versatile. There are eight cooking functions which are labeled with easy to understand pictures. It is easy to use by following the instructions. The big capacity of 6.5litre can serve the whole family. The pot is made of sturdy aluminum which is easy to cook and easy to clean. It is dishwasher safe so I don’t need to worry about the cleaning! Also it is a convenient design that you can remove the control panel and serve the countertop to table directly. So versatile cooker. You can save plenty of space by put away slow cooker and rice cooker and so on.
Really pleased with the size of this. It is great for cooking large family meals.
It is an upgrade for me from a slow cooker.
Really like that you have a wide range of functions so one pot cooking is easy.
very pleased with this multicooker, using it often, planning on using it in my caravan once the touring season has started
I have to admit we’ve only used this once (we don’t cook that much) but we were very impressed at the versatility of this mini cooker/oven.
We cooked a rolled and stuffed breast of lamb joint in it, mainly because it would fit in it and we didn’t want to put the main oven on. We seared and browned the outside of the joint first and then put it in this cooker.
It took about an hour to cook (a bit of guesswork, having taken it out a couple of times) but was done very well. Whilst cooking, no steam came out of the lid because it seemed to seal itself rather well. Neither did the handles get hot which was good, although we didn’t bring the unit to the table.
The lamb was cooked very nicely, very tender so we’re wondering what else will go in there. Some Xmas vegetables maybe.
Cleaning up afterwards was child’s play. We removed the electronic magic and just washed it up in the sink as normal. Came up sparkling clean (as far as a copper item can be sparkly).
Now that we’ve got over our initial trepidation of using this item we are eager to try it out again when the occasion arises. It’s better than using a slow cooker for our stews we think, so that might be a good one to continue with, or perhaps vegetarian chilli-con-carne, which will be even easier.
So we were impressed and think that the price is fully justified by its quality and versatility.
Easy to clean
Quicker cooking
Would like a recipe book
Would definitely recommend
Pleased with it not used its full capacity yet to say more
I only got this today and know it will be used probably 4 or 5 times a week. Easy to put together, clean, easy to control and change between functions. I made an amazing beef carbonadde in 2 hours and it was delish and the meat was so tender. Looking fwd to trying the sous vide function when I get vacuum kit organised. Honestly a great addition to kitchen. Excellent value for money, excellent quality. Would really have liked a recipe starter book with it though! Highly recommend.
This Russell Hobbs multi-cooker is the most versatile type slow cooker I have ever used. Favorite points – Very easy to program with clear instructions and memorable buttons, so easy to clean and able to detach from the power supply which means it can even put in the dishwasher which gets extra points from me. Its a large size and easily feeds portions for a family of 4-6 people, very easy to carry and unplug from the mains base if you wanted to have it as a hot serving pot in the middle of the table. Various removable trays for roasting ect. Con points – The lid is very light in weight so I found it lifted easily while roasting meats letting the steam and heat out, its very large so takes up a big portion of our kitchen bench and storing it was difficult. The price is very reasonable for the amount of different cooking types this can do, and coming into winter this will be a keen use in our home for stews and soups.
Love this cooker. Have used the slow cook and roast methods. Both worked very well! So easy to clean!
We just love this multi cooker, its a pleasure to use and it even looks good with the added bonus of coming from a company you can trust. Five stars all the way.
This is a very versatile bit of kitchen kit. I have had it a few weeks now and have not used all its functions. I feel that I am unlikely to start using sous vide or start steaming vegetables, but the other functions have proved quite useful with varying degrees of success.
It heats up quickly and I really love that I can just remove the control panel and stick it in the dishwasher. The non stick surface actually makes it very easy to clean. The vent hole in the top was prefect for inserting a meat thermometer.
The sear function: This worked well for browning the sausages for a casserole, but if i put too much it then it does not get hot enough and will just stew instead of sear.
The roast function: This was probably the least sucessful function. I tried to roast a chicken, It took a lot longer than the instructions suggested and I had to turn the temperature right up to get it cooked through (I use a meat thermometer). The meat was juicy and nicely cooked at the end but the skin was pale and soft – a nice brown crispy skin is always the high point of a roast chicken for me.
The Slow cook function: This is great – easy to control and cooks to perfection, but I am very used to using a slow cooker and I think that helped.
I really feel that I would benefit from a short recipe book with ideas for getting the best out of all the different functions, without it I feel I am still in the experimentation stage – sometimes a hit, sometimes a miss.
I have a very small kitchen and this replaces my old slow cooker, tanking up the same space but with a range of different functions which is great. I just wish that I knew how to use it better.
This counter top cooker is amazing. When I ordered it I thought it was just a slow cooker! I couldn’t of been more wrong!
It is large, however it does so much!
I will mostly use it for slow cooking.
I do recommend giving the manual a good read and having it in stand by to check out the settings.
The slow cooker setting are the buttons with the stem in, there’s a high and low setting.
I really like the built in timer function.
I also love you can boil, I often find when I slow cook it can be watery so I can just boil off the excess liquid at the end.
I also love the fact you can take take all the electrics off the pot so you can easily move it and even out the whole pot in the dishwasher.
The handles don’t get hot which is also great for moving it around.
It really is an amazing product would be absolutely amazing for a small house or university!
Absolutely recommend!
I used to have a slow cooker that was a really big capacity, so I ended up giving it to my mother, but as the colder weather came back, I am really into doing soups and stews again, so I decided to get another one but a bit smaller to what I had.
I already have a few items from Russel Hobbs at home, and I am very happy with its quality and performance, so I decided to go for this brand again.
The slow cooker comes in a nicely designed box that could be an excellent home warming gift.
It’s is a bit on the heavier side, but that’s a good thing as it won’t be easy to top it lever with hot soups inside. You will get instructions with it, but I just winged it and attached the probe with a timer underneath the main dish and switched it on – it worked perfectly with no issues.
You will get two additional inserts for the slow cooker to use if you want to do a roast or some other dishes that the instruction will help you with.
This slow cooker is not the cheapest one, but it’s an excellent quality – I can see the difference in the materials to the previous one I had, and I am confident it will serve me well for many years.
Highly recommend this choice.
This is definitely worth the price tag, it’s easy to use, any issues with usage then refer to the instructions.
It’s very easy to clean out and it’s a blessing when you’ve got kids and you’re very busy, basically just throw something into it and that’s dinner sorted.
Highest rating!
The functions are slow cooking, roasting, vacuum cooking in a bag, steaming, making rice and boiling. You can also keep things warm. It’s a big old beast to be using for boiling a bit of rice or steaming a few vegetables. I’m using it for slow cooking. It suggests you don’t have to pre-brown but it may help the flavour. If the casserole is going to take you 1 to 3 hours in a regular oven then you need to set this to 4 to 7 hours on high or 8 to 12 hours on low. If it’s only going to take 30 to 60 minutes in a regular oven then it’s 2 to 4 hours on high and 6 to 8 hours on low. Once you have selected whether you want it on high or low, it will select the default cooking time but you can manually adjust this. The push buttons make it straightforward to work. You can’t fill this right up to top you can get for helping out of it. I think this is more economical then oven cooking and if you need to thicken it at the end just add some corn flour.
There are cooking style functions on this appliance, but 99% of the time I only need it for slow cooking. I like the ability to just throw in the ingredients and leave to cook. I haven’t used a slow cooker before, so it is still new to me, but for little effort, you get some lovely meals. What I also like about this is the ability to ‘undock’ it from the power supply and server the whole pot up at the table. Pop in a ladle, chop up a French loaf and the family can help themselves. It helps bring the family together around the table and gives us a bit of bonding time together. It is amazingly simple to use and even with no experience, a few mins with the manual and I was away to go.
Cleaning the (undocked) pot was simple, it just pops into the dishwasher. However, I only did this once; it took up a bit of room and didn’t dry out very well, but I was more concerned about preservation. The dishwasher did no harm, but it is only tested to 100 cycles. Dishwasher heat and detergents can take their toll and erode pots and pans over time — I am not saying it will, but it is simple enough to wash by hand and it frees up more space in the dishwasher for items that need to be in there.
It is a little pricey at 60 (current price), but it is worth it for the end cooked product, easy clean and less pots and pans needed to cook a meal. I have been using it about twice a week for the last month and it fast became a necessary piece of kitchen equipment.
I’ve been using a cheaper slow cooker for quite a while to cook really simple food and the result was okay, but cleaning it was so annoying.
With this russel hobbs I can do so much more like sous vide and steaming, and everything seems to work really well.
It is of course more expensive than a simpler slow cooker, but I think it’s worth it.
Another thing I really like about it, is that I can throw it into the dishwasher as the electric part is detacheable.
The only negative point is maybe the sous vide, I think a proper sous vide cooker would work a lot better, but I don’t think cooking with this slow cooker is dangerous in any way.
Overall I am really happy with it.
I have to say that this is an impressive multicooker. It has the ability to cook in a surprising number of ways though I think it will be difficult to persuade my wife to use some of the more advanced features such as cooking a joint. Where this should come into its own is to replace our ageing slow cooker, and also functions such as cooking rice really appeals to me, as we eat a lot of it and this is relatively straightforward to use for that.
This is a fairly complicated cooker with a very busy control panel. Without the manual it would be difficult to use, the settings aren’t particularly intuitive. Some information is missing too, for example the manual explains how to cook rice in a simple enough fashion, but gives no indication as to the cooking time for various servings.
I do like the way that the power control is detachable, making it easy to clean without the worry of getting the electrics wet. It also seems to be highly efficient, using far less electricity than our oven for similar cooking times, and as a slow cooker heats up much faster than our older model which has a ceramic bowl.
I think the power lead could have been a little longer, it’s just about sufficient in our kitchen but limits where it can be used on our work surfaces.
The overall design is good and the price is competitive for such an advanced machine. Being cast aluminium makes it quite light and the cool touch handles make it easy to transport for serving, another big advantage over our old slow cooker.
I was so excited to get this slow cooker… I set it for 4 hours and everything was cooked to perfection. No steam, no heat, no noise. I absolutely love this cooker and i not getting back to the regular one. Also made chicken soup and some chicken wings and all the meals turned up perfect. Very good value for this price and a long term investment in saving time and improving my own health.
It is a very good addition to our kitchen. And we keep using this pot because it’s just easy and you can make delicious stews or slow-cooked meat. The quality of the pot is really good as well the control bit where all the buttons are can be removed. So it is really convenient then serving the dish to a table. Moreover, because you can remove this you can chuck it in the whole pot to clean in the dishwasher. Which makes taking care of pot even easier. Because one we had before we could just wash it by hands.
The pot itself has 8 functions: Sear ( which to me were quite new as most of the pots does not have a function like this, which I loving it especially with a chicken), Roast ( which is normal to all the pots ), Sous Vide ( This one is new for me as well, it is similar to slow cooking in my opinion, did not try yet properly, but you put food in a bag and cook it slowly in water, will need to try it properly ), Slowcooking( which is normal again in pots), Steam Rice, Boil and keep warm functions. So it covers everything that you need cooking wise. As well the pot is quite a good size 6.5 L so dinner or lunch for 4 – 5 people would not be any problem. Using it is easy and are done just by pushing a button. It has a timer as well so it could turn off after done if you forget it’s on.
Overall, an amazing addition to my kitchen and I am happy I got this pot. Plus you start to make a bit healthier food in this pot so it’s a little good addition as well to it.
We currently have a basic slow cooker so was keen to try this Russell Hobbs multi-cooker – so far I am really impressed with it.
The multi-cooker looks really smart and modern, therefore does not look out of place sat on the side. It has excellent functionality and is able to slow cook, steam and roast etc. It has a built in keep-warm function so is handy for preparing meals in advance.
The exterior doesn’t get hot when in use like my current slow cooker, so this also seems a lot safer and family friendly.
The inner dish is non-stick and works really well, the dish can also be used to serve food also – so really it’s an all-in-one product.
We’ve used this a few times already and there’s so many things you can do with it.
Easy to clean, great functionality and performance – recommended.
first thing I tried was rice, so my experience so far.
having not had a multicooker before there was a bit of instruction reading involved.
instructions were fairly clear so getting it started wasn’t too bad.
i did notice on the smart energy meter it was using less electricity than my cooker normally does.
it cooked fine, bit of a layer on the bottom but maybe i should have stirred the rice before letting it sit on “keep warm” mode for 10 mins while i got a wok ready
it did make a lot of mess with the rice froth bubbling out of the hole in the lid
i left it dirty overnight to give it a good test on the clean up
cleanup was actually not that bad, mains/control unit is far easer to detach than i expected
and everything cleaned up really easy, i dont have a dishwasher so washed it by hand and it cleaned up faster than my stainless pans.
very happy with it and will continue to experiment and update if needed
I’ve been looking for a replacement for my slow cooker and chose the Russell Hobbs 28270 Good-To-Go Multicooker as it will slow cook as well as seven other functions including sear, roast, sous vide, steam rice, vegetables and other foods. It has a large 6.5 Litre pot and roasting rack that are a good size for roasting a chicken or joint of pork or beef. The first time I used the multicooker I had to study the control panel functions but the more I use the product the easier it gets. What I particularly like is the control panel that easily pulls out allowing me to lift the pot up and put it in the dishwasher for a thorough wash. Despite the instructions being printed on A4 sheets they’re clear and easy to follow, and a few recipe ideas would have been nice but doesn’t stop this multicooker being a useful part of my kitchen.
Very pleased indeed with this brilliant cooker. It actually doesn’t take up any more space on the worktop than my old slow-cooker, but has so many more great features. Apart from searing meat (and vegan substitutes) and making wonderful sauces that you can cook slowly for maximum flavour and keep warm for hours, it also steams and does all sorts of other things. And everything is controlled by the control panel which can be removed before washing the appliance. There’s a removable grille to put vegetables on which you put over a small amount of water and put on the lid, set the timer, and you get tasty steamed veg and a lovely stock underneath. Apparently you can even cook a complete roast chicken in it, but I haven’t tried that yet. It’s more economical than a conventional oven too. And, I was surprised to read, it can be cleaned in a dishwasher, so that’s a wonderful time-saving thing which means you get to spend more time with your guests at the table with this stunning pot which is also a serving dish. Absolutely thrilled and can’t wait to try cooking many more delicious things in it.
This is much more than a slow cooker, it’s brilliant, with this you can sear, roast, sous vide, slow cook, steam, boil and make rice and each has it’s own setting. It also comes with steaming and roasting trays.
Out of the box it is so easy to set up, you just give it a good wash and then plug in the control panel, which also has the plug on, this is an ingenious idea in that the digital control panel comes off so you can move the cooker to the table and serve or put it in the dishwasher after the meal.
All you have to do is set your desired programme for example if I select slow cooker low the time automatically sets itself to 8 hours, though I can manually adjust this, then you press the start button and it counts down, so so simple. Once complete the display will then show that it is on keep warm and start counting up to 4 hours.
We have tried a number of the cooking modes and all work as described. I personally will probably use the slow cooker and rice settings the most as I can make a lot of my favourite dishes in these.
It seems to cook even, I did some chicken on the slow cooker setting wrapped in bacon and it was beautiful, it fell apart as we ate it. It cooked in the time that it said it should. The slow cooker heated up all the way around and there was a constant heat.
I also love the fact that this is so easy to clean either with just washing up liquid or by putting it in the dishwasher (minus the control panel of course).
It is quiet in operation as it should be and while a pretty big unit, due to the amount it holds, I don’t feel it dominated the kitchen, it’s looks are subtle and it blends in beautifully with it’s surroundings.
The cooker is well made with a decent heft but not too heavy to lift and a really sturdy glass lid. It is big enough for a family meal and it is just so convenient to have so many settings in one handy to use unit.
It costs 79.99, as of September 2021 and I think this is really good value for what you are getting. I have never had a slow cooker before and after having this only a short time im not sure how we managed without it, it opens up so many new and easy meal opportunities, much more than just using a slow cooker would.
The digital display is small but clear and easy to read, some with eye sight issues may struggle a little as the small display and resolution are not the best but this is a very minor niggle and for most people this will not be a concern. It also comes with an extra years guarantee on registration, so three in total.
I think this is stunning, so many automatic and simple features, well made and at a decent cost. I can’t recommend this enough.
It’s robust, spacious, and surprisingly lightweight for its size. It makes a big difference with dishes that typically require long cooking times – like boiled, steamed, and braised meals (for grilling and roasting, stick with your grill or oven). Perfect for a quick meal prep for the whole family, especially after a long day. My chicken scarpariello with rigatoni was ready in about 35 minutes, and my usual 2.5 hour slow-cooked beef ragu was done in just over one hour with this multicooker. Amazing! It’s great for steaming and searing too so is quite versatile in what you can do with it.
The lid has an airtight and secure seal, and the handles don’t get hot – so I can easily carry the cooker from one area to another without burning my hands. No need to transfer the cooked food to another pot or serving platter – just serve it straight from the cooker.
The different functions are simple enough to understand. They click easily and are responsive when clicked. I like that I can remove the control panel to wipe it down from any accidental spills too.
I cook for four, and the capacity here is perfect for a complete dinner. The cooker is easy to clean as well and is dishwasher safe but I like washing it by hand to maintain the coating for longer. So far no scratches on the inner or outer surfaces and food stuffs don’t get irritatingly stuck.
Once you start using it, you’ll never stop. It cuts down the time for cooking family favourites that are mostly avoided because of the amount of time needed to prepare them. The design looks sleek and professional too on the kitchen counter as expected from Russell Hobbs . Would be happy to recommend.

If you’re thinking of buying a slow cooker or steamer, it’s worth considering finding the extra cash for this. It performs both functions as well as sous vide and more, in a single, fairly compact unit. It’s a shame the handles can’t be removed to squeeze it into a smaller space.
The instructions are good but printed on flimsy A4 paper. A glossy booklet would be so much better, especially long-term. There are no recipes.
We like the way the control panel slides out, so that the pot can be taken to the table, dunked in a washing up bowl or washed in the dishwasher.
We’ve only tried searing and slow cooking, so far, but both functions work well and I imagine the others will too. The 6.5 litre capacity is comparable with large slow cookers, so you should be able to roast a medium-size chicken in there (we haven’t tried yet). The only issue with searing is that the high sides, unlike those of a frying pan, tend to make meat stew a little instead of just browning. The convenience and reduced washing up compensate though.
Early days, but we’ve made enough use of this to be convinced that it’s a worthwhile upgrade from a slow cooker, assuming you’ll use at least some of the extra functions. I do wish they’d make a better job of presenting the instructions, though, and include a selection of recipes.
A large capacity slow cooker which is simple to use and very easy to clean. Well made and at a reasonable price. Cooked a delicious stew in it which was full of flavour.
This multicooker is so stylish (unlike my old slow cooker). I love the fact that I can bring it to the table and it doesn’t look out of place even when we have guests. I did find it a bit tricky learning how the settings work at first as my slow cooker was very basic. Once you learn them this multicooker is very quick and easy to use. I found it worked very well and gave very consistent results. Obviously, this multicooker is quite expensive so I would spend some time thinking about whether you are going to really use all the functions as you can buy decent slow cookers quite cheaply if that is all you are going to use.
Easy to use, easy to clean – this is a brilliant piece of kit.
I purchased this to replace my other slowcooker as I have started doing more sous-vide cooking. It’s perfect.
The element is all around the main bowl, which makes the temperature regulation much easier. It’s also digitally controlled and will maintain a temperature rather than most which heat up then cool down – this allows much better control over the cooking process.
This also allows for much lower temperature settings than most slowcookers, perfect for sous-vide cooking amongst other things.
