Our first experience of a bean to jug coffee machine. It took us a while before we got the hang of how to make the coffee to our taste but we are happy with it now. The grinder is a bit nosy but doesn’t last for long. It’s not easy to clean. If using ready ground coffee and paper liners they tend to fall over so a waste of time.
Starting with blending power, I would give it a score of 3 out of 5. The machine doies not give a very good grinding facility on anything other thant the “12 cups” selection, so always set it to that to get a good grind, but once you do you get an OK level of blending power. However, if you prefer a stronger and bolder taste, you may find the blending power to be slightly lacking. While it does an adequate job, there is room for improvement in this area. Whilst there is a way to control how long the grinds stay in the water, between effectively two settings, call them what you will, Yes/No, On/Off, Short/Long, Weak/Strong etc; neither really gives you a heavily brewed cup.
To combat this you may find yourself using more beans to make it stronger, but in my experience this just leads to me bouncing around the room due to caffeine overload.
Moving on to the timer function, I wholeheartedly give it a perfect score of 5 out of 5. The timer function on this coffee machine is a standout feature, providing convenience and ensuring that your coffee is ready when you need it. With the ability to program the machine to start brewing at a specific time, you can wake up to the delightful aroma of freshly brewed coffee. I would advise that you dont just pull the carafe straight out but move it off the warmer plate by an inch until you can hear it stop dripping then pull it out, otherwise your going to be spending time cleaning the warmer plate.

The coffee it produces is absolutely divine. I’ve tried all kinds of beans, and each one has been ground to perfection and brewed to a rich, flavorful perfection. And the best part? The aroma of fresh coffee fills my house every morning, luring me out of bed like a siren song.

I’ve only used it with coffee beans, I haven’t tried ground coffee yet. The beans go through the grinder and makes a nice coffee. Using the timer feature means you can have a great cup of coffee waiting for you when you wake up in the morning – the smell is fantastic.
Cleaning is made easy with the 2 main parts that are removable, takes a few moments to clean and put back.
I’ll try more beans and ground coffee in it but I don’t see this thing having any issues. Works great, bought it at a low price but would pay the standard price, it’s totally worth it.
This is the second one of these i have purchased for my partner. It’s really quite can hardly tell it’s on. The timer function is really handy for partner with his working hours. Highly recommend. Easy to clean. Coffee tastes amazing !!
Perfect ‘full size’ coffee machine. Grinds or beans makes a fab cuppa, the 12 cup jug makes plenty of ‘mugs’ if that is your preference. 5 stars, highly recommended
Despite what others’ may say I found this to be an excellent purchase. My only criticism is that the machine encourages drinking excessive caffeine. I found the reviews on Amazon helpful.
Coffee is great. Grinds coffee beans first. You can choose how quick it makes your coffee. If you don’t like it strong it is quicker. Like mine strong so set it to make it slower. Very easy to clean.
It’s quick and easy to use. Grinds the coffee perfectly. I haven’t used the timer function yet. So I can’t comment on that. I haven’t found I’ve needed to. I really love it. It’s a great buy.
Noisy. Time consuming to clean, but makes a reasonable coffee. Better to get strong coffee with ground, not with beans. Can use a filter paper, easier to clean then. Frustrating to make smaller amounts, but persevere. I use it alongside a milk frother to get a decent cappuccino.
This coffee machine has lived Beyond my expectations, I was quite skeptical when reading the reviews but I’m glad I brought it. The machine is very easy to clean, with all the pieces popping in and out of place. The machine has different settings of what strength you want and how many cups to fill

Generally I’m very happy with this machine. Coffee tastes great, absolutely no plastic taste like other reviews have stated. I ran it through a couple time before drinking for the first time.
Very easy to clean and maintain and you don’t need to buy anything like additional filters, just the beans you like. Also it’ll just make coffee for the amount of water you out in, so I normally make a 4 cup blend setting and just add 4.5 cups over water (this is actually 2 large cups of coffee or maybe I just have a caffeine problem?)
The timer doesn’t always work and even after setting it, it hasn’t come on at the set time but this isn’t the end of the world to me.
Bought to replace another make. Makes a good cup of coffee and easy to use. Cleaning makes one aware of fragile internals which I’m fairly show will break at some point, just hope spare parts will be available warranty is good at three years though.
We previously reported on a faulty timer but after two months of use it’s just stopped working altogether! It won’t grind, it won’t pass hot water through and of course the Amazon return is just one month after purchase! We clean the machine daily so we know the fault is not with us. We feel quite let down by what we supposed was a reputable make.

Really excellent for what we want. Does the job it’s made for. The only slight negative thing is it’s doesn’t keep the coffee very warm but that’s just me my hubby prefers it. Excellent price as well
The only fault I can highlight is not with the machine but with the instruction book.
The instructions say to hold the timer button for 3 seconds until the clock icon flashes? A brief press is what sets the timer, the 3 second press sets the hotplate timer. It took me a couple of tries to figure it out. Brews a great coffee once one figures out the amount of beans that are suitable. I use 1 heaped scoop per 2 cups, set the grinder to 12 and the strength to high and it is perfect.
I was a little sceptical when I ordered this machine ,but is well it makes excellent coffee
User Manuel is not easy to understand. You can not use paper filter because of knife for grinding beans. The only machines filter makes cafe not clear as it is with paper filter. Some sediment on the carafe is seen.
Likes – It looks great and is not very noisy either. The jar is huge and keeps coffee hot for ages.
Dislikes – Just the grinder bit is hard to clean but we expected it.
Overall, an outstanding piece of equipment.
Love this coffee machine. If you love fresh coffee you can have a quick cup using filtered coffee or grind your own!! Win win. You do need some worktop space but worth making some space if you love your morning coffee
I don’t usually do reviews but I thought I would for this machine as very pleased with it and does everything it should do. I’ve never bought a coffee machine before as I don’t drink coffee but my husband does. It grinds the beans well or you can use ground though you don’t need to use as much as it says on the instructions. My only criticism is the instructions aren’t very clear but we got there in the end! My husband says the Machine makes good strong coffee, stays hot and prefers this than a cafeteria. It is easy to clean by rinsing under the tap.
What a find this was! I wanted a bean to cup machine and the name and price of this one stood out from the rest. I did find one at 1440!! And somebody had reviewed as well!
Basically I wanted two large mugs of black coffee every morning and after a week or so of experimenting, that is what I have. Perfection in a cup.
Bought this a few years ago. Broke the glass and put a hole in filter of old one so bought a replacement as very happy with this midrly

Keep warm timer for 40 minutes is a good idea because when I worked in a fast food restaurant the coffee can become toxic if on a heat all day.
2 negatives. Clock regularly needs adjusting and instructions are not precise. There is a discrepancy when setting the timer. Otherwise I’m VERY happy and loving my coffee fresh rather than instant coffee grounds

Efficient, not very loud, grinding function ok and produces a good cup of coffee and keeps it hot for quite some time.
Two normal tea cups in the UK is slightly short of the 6 cups mark on the machine. Maybe use different measurement but not a big issue. The coffee outlet is not fully centred with the positioning of the jug, it does not affect function but it seems an obvious thing to have missed that would make it more efficient.
I love this coffee machine. You can grind the coffee beans in the machine, which saves time. I would recommend this coffee machine to anyone. It was suppose to come in 2 days but arrived next day, which pleased us.

Very easy to use – set the strength – the amount of cups – add beans – press go. Settings are held so do not need to be reset if you are doing the same thing each time. the timer allows to add water and beans set machine and wake up to a fresh cup/mug of coffee in the morning, or set for your break/lunch time when working from home.
Love this machine just knocked one star off because it doesn’t stay hot for long, once milk goes in the coffee goes from hot to luke warm but I guess that’s not the milks fault, and it would be good if it had somewhere to hold the beans for the next pot instead of having to wash after every use and re fill but other then that it’s good

Brilliant machine, once you get your ratio for your own personal strength preferences it is a doddle it’s great to be able to set an alarm and have fresh brewed coffee in the morning, ignore the negative reviews, True there are no bells and whistles with this Machine but it does what it’s meant today and that’s what matters, I will be purchasing a small steamer to sit by side which should complement the coffee well!

I read the reviews before I bought this machine so I knew about the plastic taste but decided to give it a go anyway as the price was very reasonable. Because of the reviews I ran it through 4 times just with water before I used it but the coffee still had a very strange taste. However I didn’t give up because it is a nice looking machine with good access to the water tank and coffee basket. I ran it through as 3 more times with a couple of teaspoons of bicarbonate of soda added to the water each time and this morning’s coffee was absolutely fine. So I would recommend this machine but I think Russell Hobbs heads to tackle this problem or they will find they get a lot of negative reviews and returns.
Grinds the coffee beans well if you have it on 12 cups but quite hard to clean but all in all it is a good coffee machine and produces nice strong coffee.

The timer/heater switches off after 40 minutes. . We need it to be longer and you cannot change this. Husband is very pleased with it. He had to adjust the amount of coffee beans from one measure per cup to much, much less.
It is not as tall as some bean-to-cup machines and fits easily on the worktop under the kitchen cupboards.

The timer option works great. And it’s nice waking up to the smell of fresh coffee. It is a bit of a mess when cleaning it out, but that is the same with all machines.
I don’t use the grinder option, I pour ground coffee in the feeder. Overall it’s fine, I would just like the coffee to be a little hotter, but it’s nothing to get upset over or request a refund. It’s an acceptable temperature taste.
I was persuaded to buy this as I didn’t really want to buy coffee beans and there is no milk frother. However it works much better than I expected and makes lovely breakfast coffee. The heated jug is a great advantage. We buy the 1kg packs of beans, set the coffee strength to maximum and the water depth to 5 cups add 5 scoops of coffee beans and set the grinder to six cups. This produces 3 decent cups of coffee. The only proviso is that you need to warm the cups to make sure its hot coffee. I make really frothy milk by putting the required amount in a large plastic beaker, froth with a stick blender. Then put in a microwave for 2 x 30 secs. It froths so much it can spill from the beaker. I don’t do reviews but this was special.
Timer function is great! You can set the time for your morning coffee and have it hot and ready when you wake up. Not much to clean makes it easy to use. It could keep warmth for longer but 45 mins is pretty good anyway.

Brought this as a gift for my dad, he loves fresh coffee (so do I when I get to go) it grinds the beans so quickly and isn’t too noisy. Keeps the coffee warm for a long time. You can use the beans you’ve grinded twice which is great. Easy to clean and fill with beans and water! I believe you can also use ground coffee

Got this as a present and was surprised. It’s quite retro looking with much more modern features.
Likes – Timer function works perfectly. Keeps the coffee warm for 40 minutes. Makes up tot 12 cups. Able to change strength of the coffee. Quiet function. Drip stop for 20 seconds to take pot off and pour a cup. Able to choose number of cups. Easy to clean. No more disposable non-environmentally friendly paper filters. Built in coffee grinder which comes at hundreds of pounds more with other models. Can use both whole beans and ground coffee. Easy to wash and clean.
Dislikes – Can’t independently change fineness of coffee beans but you can set the number of cups to. A higher number for more grinding. Washable parts seem like cheap plastic.
Great little machine, first time buyer of a filter coffee machine. It will take a bit of getting used to via trial and error with amount of beans to water etc. but on my third use of the machine I’ve already found my perfect cup.
Only flaws I’ve found are the instructions manual to be very poor to the point that I gave up and just winged it myself. The other being that I wish the hot plate could stay on for longer than 40 mins.
I can not fault this coffee machine. For the price it is brilliant. The smell of the coffee beans in the morning fills the house and the taste is just like going for a ‘proper’ coffee. If your pondering on getting one … it is a must !!!

Can grind beans and take filter coffee
This certainly makes lovely coffee and looks good in the kitchen. It keeps the coffee nice and hot. However cleaning the lid over the grinder is not easy! The instructions say to use a pastry brush but that only sprays the coffee grinds all over the place! It would be so much better if the lid could be removed.

I got this as a Christmas present for my partner, it was one of those gifts that was really for me too. We were using a hand bean grinder and a cafetiere every day to make fresh coffee and it just wasn’t on.
This machine needs a fair few rinses before the coffee stops tasting of plastic (this is normal) and takes a small handful of goes to learn the perfect ratio of coffee to water. We love very strong coffee, so you can adjust the ratios to get your perfect result.
We tried to use the timer once and it didn’t work, probably something to do with us. Its so quick and easy to do in the morning that it doesn’t really matter and so we haven’t even thought to try again.

What a great way to be woken up. Lie back close your eyes and have an extra few moments in bed whilst the grinding is done for you. Within moments the delicious smell wafts throughout the house and your senses are kick started to a new day. (But this isn’t just for the morning as you can set the timer for anytime day or night and the keep warm function is great) shame it can’t be used with Alexa but the timer is good enough. The only quibble is the quality of the grind which should be fine. Even on the finest setting and extending the grind time you are left a little disappointed with the end result however for a low price machine it’s great value and does the job. Remember to compare apples with apples when choosing your machine, you won’t get a barista around each morning to wake you with the best coffee at this price.
