Perfect size for living room. Very quiet on the flame only setting and contributes to a lovely cosy environment especially on a gloomy, wet day. Haven’t yet used the actual heat settings so cannot comment on that. Was advised fire would be delivered 3-5 days after placing order but it actually arrived in less than 24 hours so dispatch and delivery was superb! Very happy.
Very Happy have only had it on a couple of times due to the warm weather But Heats up my lounge quickly & The fire display looks Great can’t wait to have it going in the Winter months

Absolutely love this fire! I can’t comment on the heat because not even turned it on, I only wanted it for a focal point. What I love is it’s so quiet i have had two in the past and both of them were noisy (different make) to the point that I had to turn them off but not this one you wouldn’t know it was on. The flame effect is really nice and it’s a lovely size too! 10 out of 10 from me and at a bargain price in the sale!

Love this fire! Looks so nice in my living room. Quite big which I like, double doors on the front. The fire effect can change brighter or dimmer, plenty of heat settings too. I’ve had it for over 4 months now, no issues at all. Would recommend!

Needed a little heater for a living room 4’4′ and this is perfect. Love the lighting effect that can be on with or without the heat options. Very happy with it.
Excellent, fits in well and being bigger than my previous one, beats a bigger area.
Compared to another heater I have this s relatively quiet even on the maximum setting, it’s great in the corner of my bedroom to heat up the room. It’s stylish so not out of place powered by a mains cable. There’s a dial for the temperature and the brightness of the ‘flame’, along with buttons for the power and strength. It would be even better with a auto switch-off function and my only gripe is that the opening for the buttons/dials opens downwards rather than upwards or sideways, I left the flap down once and slightly burnt myself on the knob when closing it since the heat comes from under the heater.
i bought this to replace one that had broken down. it looks great almost exactly like my old one. heat function is great. a little dissapointed that the fake flame is not as good as my last one. outside of that it works fine.

We paid for the undamaged option (not the reduced price one) and our door has slight cosmetic damage which looks like it’s been filled in with pen or similar. The handle is also a bit stiff.

I am really happy with this little fire. It’s very neat and isn’t at all noisy which can be a bit of a nuisance with this type of fire. The logs don’t look particularly realistic but then I hadn’t really expected them to be from the picture. It’s as it is featured. It’s effective at heating a large room and it’s easy to set it to a temperature for it to regulate itself. I’d recommend this as a good value product.

Good quality, looks great and actually pumps put a lot of heat if required.

Looks authentic, I like the fact you can vary the brightness of the flame effect and have the effect on separate to the heater. Would prefer the cable to be a little longer, otherwise a great little heater.

I’ve previously used Russell Hobbs products in the past and they have always been very good, this one does not let the other down, it does the main job (warming up) very well the heat settings are more than enough to keep a room warm.
It is quite heavy and feels well built although it has a lot of plastic features I think it is to be expected for the price this comes at. It has 2 heat settings and flame brightness is adjustable to make you feel very cozy!
Overall I’m very happy with this, I think it warms up pretty well but most importantly for me, it looks very stylish and nice, although the plastic does not make it feel nice it does look fantastic.
It’s simple and nice so it does make for some good decorating even during the summer for this price range I would recommend.
The heater is ready to go straight from the box, you just position it and plug it in. There are two separate heat settings available (925w each) and there is also a fan switch that needs to be turned on before the heater will work, when using the thermostat the heat will turn/off but the fan will still keep running. I like the low position of the fan heater, my last one had the fan on the top so it only heated the top half of the room, this is a much better design and it can really kick some heat out.
The quality of the unit overall is great, the main chassis is made from metal, the windows in the doors are glass, but the hood on top, doors, and lip across the bottom are made from plastic. It would have been nice for the hood to be made from as its easier to tell than the other parts but apart from that everything else looks fine. The fire effect lighting looks very convincing and it really strands out of a night, you can control the brightness which can go down to a slight glow or you can turn the lights off completely. All the controls are hidden behind the doors which have magnets built in to hold them closed.
Overall, I think this is a very cosy and inviting looking heater which also performs very well and does a good job of getting the heat transferred around the room. Its well made and reasonably priced for what you get, especially from a well-established brand like Russell Hobbs. I am happy to recommend this heater and I feel its worth the full five stars!
This Russel Hobbs Electric stove fire heater is really lovely summer is over and sometimes I can feel that its a bit cold now so I got the chance to unbox it and try this electric heater very easy to use! Was looking for a small heater to go in the summer house and this ones perfect. Comes well protected in a large cardboard box, the only assembly which is required is to attach the feet to the bottom and you are good to go. It looks really nice in design being all black with a glass window in the middle that shows the faux logs inside. It looks and feels really authentic when switched on and flickers and lights up like a real fire. The controls are nicely hidden out the way. Theres two heat settings and the light up flame effect can even be used without having the heat switched on, if you just want to create the look. You get a descent amount of heat from it which is produced quite quickly and heats up the summer house adequately. Its light enough to easily move around and place where needed and comes fitted with a fairly lengthy wire, so can be plugged in easily where needed. It’s of a really good size, not overly big and not tiny, about 548mm in height x 415mm in width and 280mm in depth. Extremely happy with the look and feel and gives out a descent amount of heay. A trusted brand, very well made and definitely built to last.
The elecrtic stove fire arrived and the only thing I had to do was attach the legs with the screws supplied, this was easy to do and took me 5 minutes.

The adjustable flame brightness with log flame effect is a nice feature as you dont need to have the heater on when using this setting, it makes the room look cosy even when it is warm.
This is a free standing fire, its nice and sturdy, theres also a saftey thermal cut off device.
The fire has a black cast effect finish which is truely lovley and looks so well made.
I am looking forward to using this more during the colder nights yet to come.

We’re using this in our new barn conversion, and it’s proving to be invaluable. It’s well-made, looks great, the ‘flame’ effect is quite realistic, and it certainly gives out a lot of heat. It’s especially good for us as it gives a rustic look without much effort. Very pleased.
This fireplace has a very fancy design. It is all black with a glass window in the middle, behind which is the simulation of a fireplace which is very interactive and very realistic. It doesn’t take much space in the living room, I placed it next to the TV so that I can stare at it constantly. It does definitely add a fancy and classy touch to the living room.
It can be moved easily. I sometimes move it to the bedroom as I find it lightweight and manageable. Apart from the fire visuals which have true colours and mimic an actual fire in a very accurate way, this fireplace does actually produce heat. It is an electric heater with two heating modes. The heating that comes out of this heater is relatively convenient for a small room, but it won’t be efficient for a big place. Since heating comes from the lower area below the glass window and controls tab, the top of the heater remains cold all the time which makes it safe to touch and even useful to put decorations. I usually put flowers or candles on top of it.

It’s rare for a house to have a fire these days, whether they be open or electric. This is a shame as sitting next to a warm roaring fire is one of life’s great pleasures.
Well, with this electric-fire, you can live out your fire fantasies.
The fire itself is solidly built with a traditional iron stove aesthetic. It’s a good size, not too big, but not too small and is a really commanding focal point wherever it’s placed.
It has three modes light/no heat, light/heat or no-light/heat. However you want it to run, it’s easy enough to operate with just four switches behind the front doors.
The fire effect is mesmeric and creates a lovely warm ambience even with the heater off.
Heating wise, the hot air is distributed by a fan which runs reasonably quietly and doesn’t bother the wife or I in any way.
The fan seems to distribute the air in a cone, with the heat being confined centrally. If you’re either side of the fire, you can feel the fan, but the air is significantly cooler. Despite this, the fire really does heat the entire room after a few minutes, making it super toasty.
My only real issue is the low quality plastic doors that are far less quality than the body of the fire itself.
We can’t recommend this fire enough, my wife hated the idea of it prior to delivery, but she’s 100% converted now. It creates a fantastic atmosphere and as the days get colder it’s going to become far more useful, plus it looks great.
WARNING FOR PET OWNERS – If you check out my video, you’ll notice there are flashing lights underneath the fire. These are there constantly both underneath and behind. While they don’t bother me, our cats did take an interest in them, which could be dangerous given how hot the underside of the fire can get.
This is a great replacement for our very naff and very old electric fire in the lounge – we’d thought about a log burner but don’t really need all that, so this a great (and cheap, amazing value at just over 100) alternative.
It sits in our old fireplace neatly but would look just as good freestanding in almost any room. It’s very much a traditional look, and my only slight caveat is that it’s a wee bit plasticy in parts, particularly the handles.
However, it has a powerful output, 1.85kw, so it’ll heat most rooms pretty effectively and fairly quickly. We won’t use this when it’s time for the central heating to be on, but it’s a very good option for the “shoulder” months, like September when you suddenly get chilly evenings. It’s fairly decorative, as you can opt for the log effect lighting so it makes it look cosy even when the heater itself isn’t on. It’s one of those things you can do without quite easily but it’s nice to have for various occasions during the year.
I can’t quite give it 5 stars, despite the very good cost, as I’m not keen on the plastic handles and it does feels a little flimsy on its legs but then for 104, I’m probably just being overly picky. 4.5 stars from me, but Amazon won’t let me have half stars!
This one heats the room faster and is quieter. Very attractive and works well in my living room.
The size is perfect for the space we wanted to put.. I love the realistic look of the flames. My kids love sitting in front and watching the flames. It has different heat settings. Keeps your home very cozy.
It’s looks so real and it feels real as well. The heating is really good. It’s heats up my living room in minutes. If you don’t want the heating then you can just turn on the fireplace without the heat being turn on. You can have one without the other. It’s helpful if let’s say you’re going to sleep and you don’t want there to be a fire hazard so you turn off the heat but want the light from the fireplace.
I appreciate that the controls are hidden too. There are two heats settings, on/off switch and two dials. One, raises and lowers the ‘flame’ brightness. The other, raises and lowers the actual heat. Delivery was quick and assembly was easy (just snap the four feet on).
I highly recommend this if you want a heater for an room or area that gives a cozy warm feeling.
This is a fantastic real-flame electric heater with a generous heat output.
I’ve been waiting for the right time to test this heater and feel like the only person in the UK to actually be waiting for a cold day. Tonight my daughter started complaining “I’m freezing” due to us having the house back door open all afternoon. Rather than firing up the gas fire, I decided to give this a go and, genuinely, I’m super impressed with the heat output and the realistic looking flames.
This heater gives the impression of a real fire, with the rolling and flickering flames at the back. On top of that, the heat output is amazing for such a low powered device. On just the low setting (1 switch on; 0.95kwh) this is heating our living room up really warm and cosy. It runs fairly quietly (just a slight fan noise). It’s easy enough to move around the room to suit your needs, thanks to being on raised legs; something you can’t do with a fixed gas fireplace.
This is fairly economical to run. It looks like an authentic fire with logs burning, making you feel cosy. I cannot fault it and feel this is a great hester and also a nice feature for any living room, bedroom or otherwise.

Been working from home for 5 months now in Scotland and that doesn’t seem to change until next year. Knowing that bad weather is soon enough here, needed something to keep me warm.
We have the house temperature set to 20C, but sitting in one chair for 12 hour shifts, I know I would get cold pretty quick. We used to have a cheap white tacky, plastic heater which done the job, but aesthetically wasn’t cutting it, so went looked for something more unusual and with this heather we have found it.
It looks like a vintage radio, very stylish and fits in well with our interior design. Apart from the look, is pretty much the same as the cheaper electric heaters where you have 2 setting (high and low) and can control the heat with the dial. Also can blow cold air if needed.
Pretty happy with the product and I think is good value for the money.

I have solid fuel heating, it’s not always convenient to light the stove.
I’ve positioned the heater in front of my stove and it looks perfect there.
Once unpacked all you have to do is put on the four feet, takes minutes and is no problem.
The cable is nice and long. The two heat settings are great for both heat control and economy, the thermostat works well and keeps the room at a good temperature rather than continuously throwing out heat and using energy.
The controls are cleverly positioned under a flap at the front (where the air control would be on a solid fuel stove)
The flame effects are excellent and can be used with the heater or on it’s own, really makes the room look cosy. The size is great, not tiny like some other brands. Would only use a trusted brand of heater as safety is paramount.

The heater is good quality and well made, but I can’t understand why the small door handles are made from plastic? This does cheapen the heater a little, and it would have been more in keeping with the looks if they were metal.

Overall, a lovely heater that should fit in most spaces. As much as I love it and would like to give it a 5, I was slightly let down with the plastic feel handles on the doors. A very solid 4 out of 5 for this lovely, cosy stove-like heater.
This matte black metal stove Fire from Russell Hobbs is really nice to look at with realistic moving flames and throws out a surprising amount of instant heat via the convector heater and fan at the base. It’s not too noisy at 1.85KW at it’s maximum output. It’s very easy to use and arrives with just the legs (which are matte black plastic) to fix on each corner of the base with supplied black screws, and a clear and easy to understand user guide. It’s light enough for me to pick it up and carry it from room to room. It has a long cable (2 metres) which is great as plug points aren’t always where we need them and is the perfect size to cover an existing living flame gas fire opening. The opening door panel is glass with a brass handle and trim on the hinges, the control panel door is also metal with a brass knob . The flames and log bed are lit by LED lighting so don’t get hot. The movement and brightness of the flames are controlled by the dial on the right, the left dial is the thermostat control the amount of heat and the 2 switches with 1 (low heat) and 2 lines (high heat) on are for the fan, note you can’t go straight to the 2 fan without switching the 1st one beforehand. The on/off switch is on the left. The electric stove comes with a 12 month guarantee for peace of mind, plus a fantastic 2nd year free when you register your stove with Russell Hobbs (there’s an information leaflet included with the manual).
I think it’s a super electric stove that has the build quality you’d expect from such a well known brand as Russell Hobbs and looks very much like a wood burner, though without the fuss and mess of one. It makes the room feel cosy and warm quickly and looks cosy too with its realistic flame effect, I therefore am very happy to recommend it to you. This was absolutely perfect for our summerhouse where sometimes extra guests stay as it looks very authentic and really suits the log-cabin theme perfectly and looks really homely and cosy with the logs lit up without any of the risks of a real stove fire obviously and couldn’t be happier with it – looks lovely! Even with just the logs lit up (you can have either just the lights on without any heat output or vice versa and the intensity of the lights can even be changed) it makes the space feel warmer. It’s a great fairly compact size too and despite not having the highest output for a heater it’s more than enough even without going to the full setting for a single large space . Good easy controls to suit your needs and very portable for when you want to change where you have it and for the quality, output and design I think great value and would definitely recommend.
