How to use your EASi MicrowaveTo microwave, simply press the Microwave button until your required time is reached; the time increases by 30 seconds until 5 minutes and it then increases by 1 minute until 60 minutes. Press the start button and microwave will then start to cook at the full power. To defrost simply press the Defrost button until your required time is reached; the time increases by 30 seconds until 5 minutes and it then increases by 1 minute until 60 minutes. Press the start button and the microwave will then start to defrost. To pause the cooking cycle simply press the Stop button, to cancel, press the Stop button for a second time. | How Microwaves WorkMicrowave ovens do not generate any heat themselves but instead emit waves of microwave energy which cause the water molecules in food to vibrate. …I bought this as a like for like replacement, and other than there being no rotating plate (standard feature of all microwaves, it functioned as expected and am very happy. Its a little odd to see no spinning plate when cooking.
Never had a microwave so easy to use. Simple buttons. Timer is easily set in blocks of 30 seconds. if you need less than 30 seconds you will have to watch and use the cancel button. Very easy to wipe clean.
Flatbed from now on.
It takes serious research & courage to produce something that is this simple. Particularly in an age where there is pressure to produce all singing, all dancing goods.
Our last microwave did all sorts of things, varying power levels, option to put in how long you wanted it to microwave., but all we ever did with it, is pressed the 30 second button repeatedly. Even using defrost would require getting the manual out or amazingly remembering how to do it from last time.
I love the simplicity of this so much. I hope this is a new trend.

The display was faulty but when you love something this much it’s easy to forgive it’s faults huh?
Getting a replacement was so easy & stress free. I don’t even have to replace the faulty one till I have the replacement & it gets picked up by Evri.

So easy to use. I have actually used all the buttons, yeah all 4 of them. I am actually blind and have added orange stickey dots to top and bottom. Enables me to feel fpr the other 2. I can see the red figures perhaps for me a little more tricky. No need to switch off at the wall. There is no clock. The read out auto shuts off after a while. Brilliant design.
I was sceptical about the idea of not having a turntable but pleasantly suprised about the eveness of cooking. Even my huge baked potatoes cooked better than my previous microwave. The ‘dash’ is very simple and avoids all of the settings that nobody every uses, my only criticism would be the time can only be increased in 30 second iterations which is not ideal for my porridge, which takes 2:20… Modern problems

Many years ago when microwaves were fairly new, I had one without
a turntable which was great.Then turntables were introduced and a lot of internal space was lost. They were also more difficult to keep clean.
Probably due to new technology this flatbed (no turntable) microwave came along..Great product ten out of ten. .Is this the new future of the microwave?
I had never heard of a flatbed microwave until just before purchasing this item. I am not sure why there isn’t more options on the market, however the idea of no annoying spinning plate that falls of the runner or the need to clean the plate after food spills seems obvious but highly satisfying

I have no complaints with the simple controls as there is no confusing settings such as weight or frozen not frozen food, meat, poultry fish etc

This is about as simple to operate 800watt microwave oven as is possible to get – just cooks on full power or 35% when defrosting. There are just 4 buttons that beep when pressed & a clear red numerical display that lights up when plugged in; the door is opened or any button is pressed.
You start by pressing the Microwave button that increments by 30″ up to 5mins then by 1min up to 1hr (if you overshoot the time, press theStop/Cancel button to start again). One press of the same button pauses cooking, a second press cancels. The end of cooking is announced with 5 beeps. The display turns off after a few minutes. The sequence of defrosting is the same. Recommended.
There is no turntable so large oblong dishes will fit that makes this oven very easy to clean, there is a yellowish light but the contents are not that easy to see. The bottom surface has a circle printed on it to make it easier to centre dishes or mugs etc.
Be careful cleaning the display & push-button panel – it’s covered in soft plastic!
Annoying legs too small so when open door it moves the machine so I will have to buy a mat.
There a no clock and only a few buttons with no preset programmes but then I never used them anyway. The eco mode when not using is to switch it off at the wall.
It’s so basic it’s a bit laughable but guess is far less to go wrong and none of us ever used the other stuff anyway except for say presets.
Today I did just a few actions, take food out, put on plate, switched power on at wall, opened door, put food in, closed door, pressed time twice for 1 min, pressed start, waited, it beeped, open door, took food out, closed door, turned off at wall. Enjoyed food.
This is as complex as it can get with this appliance. It’s a reliable make and I recommend unless you want and use lots of special features. Deodorising function was to leave door open for a moment. Machine site quite high up but I really like not having to worry about that annoying turntable as this doesn’t even have one
Never again will I buy a microwave with a plate I absolutely love this!! No more plate banging because it doesn’t quite fit properly or your food not being completely done because it hasn’t spun round correctly because it didn’t fit it just sits and heats properly, then once it’s cooled down give it a little wipe no messy plate to clean just like new fantastic

This just has a cook, defrost and start/stop function as mentioned. It performs just the basic heating and defrosting tasks, nothing extra and it doesn’t have lots of additional features but is is perfect for what I need. The only thing I miss is a clock and timer function. I didn’t realise how much I relied on my old microwave for that. It heats food perfectly though so I’m happy with it.

So easy to use. I just want to press a button and get on with it! If you’re like me and only use it to cook super noodles or warm up wheat filled teddy bears then this is the microwave for you! Only con is that the light stays on when the door is open after heating something steamy.
Nice simple you use which when most peace only use their microwave for reheating, this is all you need. No over the top modes and grill etc etc.. no turntable to go wrong either. Excellent item and happy so far.

Great microwave. Only one slight problem encountered. The cooking time only goes up in minutes and half a minute (30 sec) . Otherwise item is excellent and good value for money.
I love the flat bed, it’s so much easier to clean. The controls are perfect and simple to use. Either microwave or defrost and time goes up in increments of 30 secs. Also I love that when you open the door the microwave doesn’t keep going when the door is closed again unless start is pressed.
It is so easy to use and to keep clean. Not lots of bits to dismantle if there is a spillage.
We love it there is film over the buttons which is hard to remove but after a week it just peeled away easy.. so just give it some time to relax vefire removing.. takes my largest dishes and plates and so easy to clean with no turntable..
For those just looking simply for a functional and easy to operate microwave, the people at Russell Hobbs have got this right! … It’s only recently been purchased though and intend to update this review in perhaps 6 months or so. …
Though this is expensive than normal ovens, becuase it is Flatbed – this is very conveniant. Delivered as per schedule and happy with the product.
first-order never arrived this is the first time it has happened to me and I was very angry with the rep I phoned but as promised a New one was sent which I received delivered to me personally after unwrapping setting up I was greatly surprised the wife can operate it without my help what a great microwave so simply all complications removed many thanks Amazon just love i

Seems well made and works well, a bit larger than the previous machine but no turntable gives more room.
We used to have a microwave that did almost everything, but we found that we used it mainly for heating up and defrosting. So, when it died from boredom, we decided to get one that actually did just what we needed and nothing more. I read loads of reviews and decided that this microwave was the one for us. It hasn’t disappointed. It’s operation is straight forward. You simply tap the time you wish for and then tap start. We love it.
So what do I do. Put up with it. Pay to send it back to Hotpoint to be repaired. Or at five months old can I send it back to Amazon and order a new one. Apart from the light the Microwave is fantastic. Just Hotpoint shoddy lamp design. Why can Hotpoint not desighn a light that I could change myself. Shows what useless designers they have.

Most microwaves come with loads of confusing programmes to cook x, y, or z. I’ve never used these on any of the microwaves I’ve ever had.
This one makes it so simple – dial in mins to cook, or kgs to defrost – hit go. Brilliant!

Really easy to clean, didn’t know there was such a thing as a flatbed, no one in their right mind would buy one that came with a difficult to clean turn table. Never saw it advertised. It also came with a 50 virgin wine voucher as a thank you for purchasing this product unfortunately you only get it if you sign up for their WineBank and buy at least12 bottles worth 109.88 or more. I won’t bother thanks.

Love this microwave, I wanted a no frills device just cook and defrost. No turn table but it cooks evenly and easy to wipe over.
My mother is 85 and has athritis on her hands and is becomming forgetful at times, this is a great simple micorave which is dead easy to use, you just tap for 30 second intervals and push for longer times. two options micowave and defrost means no complicated programmes to recall, the flat be makes it easer to cook bigger dishes and the size is great for a small space. all in all very happy with this

Item is great and so easy to use, my issue was with that the original item received was the not the item listed and I had to return this and re order and wait for my refund. The refund wasn’t received for a while and I had to chase this, just quite annoying as this was no fault of our own and we was left to correct the matter.

So much easier to keep clean than one with a turntable plate and wheeled support! Remember to wipe any spills immediately and the finish will stay looking new!
The cavity is big and will hold large rectangular dishes if you so choose! No more rotation that doesn’t quite work with odd dish sizes!
The control buttons are simplistic, the top ‘microwave’ is full power 800 watt cooking in 30 second increments with each button press up to 5 mins, then 1 minute increments and you can add time even while it’s cooking.
Second button down is ‘defrost’ in the same increments and the defrost function is 40% power.
The next button down from the top is Stop/Cancel which is self explanatory! Press once to stop cooking, press again to cancel the remaining time on the screen.
The last button ‘Start’ is pressed to start the cooking after the time has been set (microwave or defrost) then the time remaining counts down.
When it finishes it emits 5 long loud beeps, if you don’t return to it immediately it gives a short beep at intervals of 2 minutes, for ten minutes after it’s finished.
It doesn’t have a clock which took some getting used to after relying on my past microwave as the kitchen clock but I’m accustomed to it now.
Also the display lights go out in standby mode when not in use so it’s energy saving too!

The only thing I didn’t like there is no clock, my husband has had his moans about it otherwise I am happy.
Overall a good microwave however: Could do with a separate control on time rather than only 30 second increments. No ability to reduce power is a limitation of this unit and it also doesn’t have a clock function for when on standby. Other than that it does the job well enough and it does have a large plate capacity as there is no turntable a definite plus
This microwave is very simple to use. No complicated programmes. The timer only goes up 30 seconds at a time, so smaller amounts have to be done manually. Apart from that it does what it says on the tin. The lack of a turntable means that it can take larger dishes, and it is much easier to clean. In our opinion much better value for money than other, more expensive models with loads of programmes that you never use. If all you want to do is to reheat food or drinks, then this is the model for you.
This is my first flatbed microwave – I love it. Super easy to use. Is larger than my old one which I didn’t check, but fits the space. Vents on the side so you can use top to rest items without worrying. Easy to clean.

I bought this as my husband is not a techie and hated any microwave we ever had as he couldn’t work the settings. This is so very simple to use. No fancy features – just set the time, switch on and let it go. It’s fantastic. Large space and no plate inside to wobble and get covered with spills. Simple wipe clean and you are good to go. Cooks more evenly I think too. From now on, I will use a flatbed – best microwave I’ve ever owned. It doesn’t do anything fancy but I never used a microwave to bake or anything else anyway. Love it!

Ever wanted a microwave that (a) heats, (b) defrosts, (c) that’s it no other gimmicks? Then THIS IS THE PRODUCT TO GET!. It is so simple to use, I love it! FULLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT.
It’s a great microwave only thing is it makes a bit of noise when being used not sure if that is meant to happen never had a flat bottom microwave before.

Love the look, looks really sleek and modern and this colour gives a bit of the wow factor. Easy to use, no fuss machine. Bought this as a gift as love the one I have which is in white. The only disadvantage is it is large but this was not a problem for me.

So easy to keep clean, easy to use, not too many “unnecessary” choice of buttons. I tend to use my microwave for very basic things so don’t need the extra options. Can heat/cook more dishes side by side, may take slightly longer obviously.
Not having a rotating turntable base makes it very easy to use with larger items

Fantastic value for a flatbed microwave, love the simplification of the controls down to the bare minimum. I would say of my uses so far 1% of the time I think it would be handy to have more precise time controls or a power setting etc but it’s far from a deal breaker. So much easier to clean and use, plenty of space inside (my previous microwave was too small to stand a pouch of microwavable rice in where this one is more than sufficient). Looks nice too
