his is a well constructed hood 3 nice mesh fighters that are easy to remove and clean quite powerful ensure it is well secured, so as to avoid vibration noise , ive ordered a spare light just in case as its a complete fitting .

The cooker hood is exactly as described, which was perfect for me as I wanted a like-for-like replacement for the cooker hood in our kitchen that had failed (a different brand but essentially the same hood). This hood is however a little noisier than the item it replaced although it does work well. I had cause to contact the seller as the first deliver was the wrong unit. They were very friendly, helpful and did exactly what the promised to do when they said they would. One slight issue I have with the unit potentially though is the lighting; it’s very good, but if it fails you cannot simply change a lamp but rather you have to replace the whole module according to the user manual – let’s hope the lamps have a long life

This was a replacement hood. The original vent outlet was smaller than new hood ducting. Bought new 100mm ducting and a reducer for about 5 from a local supplier. Fixed with duct tape that came with the hood to join the two ducts. Removed a row of tiles as the hood was deeper than my old one. Put a new vent flap on the outside as well to stop the wind blowing through as it had been doing for ten years. The plug was sealed so I cut this off, reduced the cable length and hard wired it back in. Added a new glass splashback beforehand to get the correct measurement for the hood bracket. The hood’s front bright LED lighting is fantastic, as this is where you need the light when using the hob. The venting is powerful. I am very pleased with this purchase. Worked carried out by 1 person.

5.0 out of 5 stars Delighted with this cooker hood

Quick delivery via Prime and well packaged.

I was replacing an existing extractor so my position on the wall was determined already by the cooker backsplash. I taped the bracket onto the hood and offered it up to the backsplash resting it in position on top of it marking the holes needed. I figured that dead reckoning would have been inaccurate. Of course, if you have freedom of vertical position then you can just attach the wall bracket and away you go.

I would recommend screwing the chimney fixture screws into the bracket before putting the bracket on the wall as they are self-tappers.

The extractor comes with a moulded plug so fit a socket in the chimney area if you haven’t got one.

The extractor is 150mm in diameter and my existing one was 100mm so I needed a spigot adaptor

Good product but difficult to track down the optional carbon filters which unfortunately are not supplied by Russel Hobbs..

Had to wait quite a while for the product to be despatched, but the wait was worth it. Very effective hood which is as good as, if not better than my previous Bosch one.

Replaced a faulty Ciarra extractor with this and very happy so far. Only problem was the chimney was too long so had to cut down with an angle grinder and mess about to make it fit. Double check it will fit unlike me.
    All good now though.

Work well. Bit louder than you anticipate. The vent covers can be a bit tricky to fit on to your existing fittings.

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersBest cooker hood I’ve fitted to date and I fit lots of kitchens. I like the mounting bracket it makes fitting easy. Hood supplied with two led lamps and the motor has three speeds which has average noise levels typical of cooker hoods at full speed. Though supplied with a plastic extraction duct it’s 150mm diameter which I find far too large so you will need to purchase a reducer if you want to duct externally. I use flexible 100mm duct cored to a vent that isn’t enormous. All the extra bits for extraction are available from Screwfix for under a tenner and as the motor is powerful it works great. If you want to recirculate rather than extract be sure to order disposable carbon filters (not included) that screw onto the motor housing or you will get unsightly staining from the chimney over time. A note to consider is that this kit does not supply you with a duct section that diverts recirculated air out of the vents at the top of the chimney so you will end up with a dusty ceiling over a period of time. This review is posted a month after fitting so cannot comment on durability.

So far so good, haven’t used it yet for cooking, in new kitchen renovation. Look’s nice & led lights look cosy as well as being bright for the hob. As noisy as most. Corners at the front a bit sharp but apart from that it is really nice and stylish to look at.
