Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersExcellent product well worth the money, works perfectly! Very easy to use. Fast spray application for covering large areas, 4amh battery will easily do 8-10 rounds. 110 degree Nozzles are standard can be got in any decent agri supplies shop and can get 90 or 100 if the 110 doesn’t suit. Sprayer is not awkward versus my previous napsacks and no messy leaks, well build unit. The adjustable width nozzle is a real bonus for the awkward jobs – can apply spray 10-12 feet away!

I bought this to waterproof the garage wall but because there wasn’t any one to hold the ladder so i need something powerful to reach the top of it . It did that perfectly and my garage wall is no leaking any more .
Now problem its only one . It is heavy by itself now imagine you put 15L of liquid inside it too .if you want use it fir gardening you really don’t need this much power and weight but if you are like to exercise while gardening then this is very very good

Easy to use. Takes the work out of spraying. Sprays slightly heavier than the hand pumped sprayer so might use more chemical/weed killer but all in all an excellent bit of kit.

Needed a powered, cordless means of getting round a lot of buxus hedges which had been infected with box moth and needed spraying as soon as possible. Hand-pumped 5 and 10 litre options were exhausting and slow to use. This came very quickly, is simple to set up and use. The tank is large, but the support straps are fine. Key features – powerful jet, consistent pressure, Ryobi battery lasts longer than I can carry the tank, then can be recharged. It is worth buying the Ryobi batteries: they do charge and hold the charge well. Just one feature Ryobi could improve on, would be a longer tube from the tank to the nozzle: the reach is the one limitation, or to sell a longer tube as an accessory for longer reach over larger hedges and shrubs.

It took seconds to set up. Straps adjusted nicely and the cradle harness fitted snugly. As for the operation, it was quiet and gave an effective steady spray. My previous manual spray held 10 litres of weed prevention solution whereas this holds up to 15. It was so quick and easy to apply in a continuous movement. Great coverage from the nozzle. Normally the manual version used to take 2 hours for 2 fill ups, the Ryobi took less than 50 minutes in total. The results were superb, all in the weeds gone in 3 days using the stated proportions – really love this machine. The real benefit of course is that I have one battery and two really great tools

I purchased this as I had a lever pump one for treating roofs for moss after cleaning them. really brilliant
sprayer as I also use it for weeding round the garden and also feeding the lawn treatments. press the trigger
and away it goes. I treated 5 roofs on one charge on a 4 amp battery and think I could have done another 3
roofs on the same charge. The harness is of top quality and really comfortable to work with
Really pleased with this sprayer, fabulous pice of kit for the money

Trs bon matriel il manque juste un flexible qui serait pivotant pour permettre de tourner la lance plus facilement.
sinon c’est parfait pour les traitements

Arrived yesterday shoulder and waste straps hold it securely on the back of my mower, easy to use. Sprayed 3 acres of paddock effortlessly, plenty of power left. Spray pressure was good and consistent. Unit is comfortable on shoulders, although little heavy, not that I’ll carry it again knowing it fits on my mower. Only criticism is that Length of hose is 1.2 metres could have been better if a little longer as only designed for right hand use

    Fantastic Gadget, although expensive

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersWhile the Ryobi Cordless Backpack Sprayer is fairly well made, it is lacking in one area. When filled with 15L of liquid it is heavier than manual similar sprayers due to motor and battery additions. In all, the tool when filled is to too heavy for many people to hoist onto the back and carry around so, for me, I had to change the way it is carried. First, I removed the harness which is secured to the tubular frame by bolts more suited to a tank, and then 2 straps had to be cut to release the harness from the frame; 2 other straps were wrapped around the frame just in case needed in future, altho’ with 2 main straps cut it would be difficult to reuse the harness. Then, as I had a small foldable sack truck I placed a piece of wood on the truck shelf and set the sprayer onto it, at the same time using a short bungee cord to tie the sprayer to the truck frame. This is the best solution for me making it easy to lug the sprayer around and especially to fill it when using corrosive liquid such as Sodium Hypochlorite – which is outstandingly good at removing dirt from paving block or slab, requiring only to spray onto ground and leave to work it’s magic! No washing down needed. Kills moss and weeds too. 20L for 20! Hope this helps.

While the instructions were not that well thought through, it is rather obvious how this is put together and operated and it is well built and seems to be high quality. It takes the Ryobi standard battery which seems sensible and no doubt will encourage me to gradually add to the electric tool cupboard with Ryobi tools!

When full its heavy, but its worth it for large areas of spraying. Can always use half full if needs be.

I mainly use it for weedkiller, but may use it to spray grass with sulphate solution, which someone recommended.

Good product, easy to use and long battery life although battery and charger were not included which made for overall quite expensive purchase.

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersI really like Ryobi tools I’ve have an extensive set. This sprayer is really good however I have to be critical on 2 suboptimal designs.

The tank and frame is very robust. Battery compartment which pokes out could have perhaps been orientated in a slightly better way but is easy to clip into place. Piping is adequate length and thick but flexible which is good. Operating is easy and fairly quiet.

    The design issues:

The first is regarding the all plastic paint sprayer gun. I don’t mind it’s not got a brass nossle but there is a really daft and cheap flimsy trigger mechanism which is the weak point. So much so a tiny 1cmx3mm cylinder fell out which pushes open the valve to release the spray. This design is terrible. Ive since put electrical tape round the handle lever just to prevent this cylinder from springing out and being lost for good.

The second issue is the straps. I think they could have put slightly thicker padding on the straps and a slightly softer edging would have been a nice detail. When the tank is full the weight is going to pull and any rubbing is going to be sore on the operator.

The final point is a missed opportunity I would have liked to have seen some sort of robust strap handle at the top of the appliance for hanging or lifting.

Anyway it’s a good tool but needs refining particularly the spray handle.

    Tres silencieux.
Un peu lourd mon got, il faut avoir un peu de force sinon sur un toit on peux basculer en arrire emport par le poids.
Je regrette qu’il ne prconise aucunne rallonge compatible sur le site Ryobi.
Le prix reste quand mme trs cher.

Exactly what we needed as I rent out two properties which would take ges to paint and we could not get a cable long enough to do the boundary fences. Arrived on delivery date and holds lots of the paint. Does an excellent job my son is happier now as only takes a short time to do the longer fencing

Golden Review Award: 13 From Our UsersMy drill died a while back so I bought a ryobi one and inadvertently into the ONE+ system. So far I’ve been pleased with every product I’ve purchased.

I’ve got about 2 acres of land and I walk the perimeter every month or so and spray the weeds that grow under hedges and along the fence, I also spray my tarmac drive with moss killer periodically. During the spring I tend spot-spray larger areas of weeds on the grass to stop them spreading. Before buying this I was using a manual pump backpack sprayer and a manual hand sprayer depending on the job.

It probably takes 1/2 an hour to spray the perimeter of my property fully and 45 minutes to do the drive properly. I was concerned I’d run out of battery half way through the job but so far, using a large battery, I’m using 3-4 backpacks worth of chemicals per session with battery power to spare.

It’s about as comfortable as any other backpack sprayer, and the job seems noticeably quicker because I don’t have to pump pressure into it every few minutes.

As a result of being battery powered, the spray pattern is much more consistent and I found it give excellent coverage using weed killer. I found myself taking a bit more time ensuring good coverage with moss killer though because in my experience moss needs to be well saturated in order for the chemicals to have an affect.

It does feel a touch more sturdy and secure than my previous manual one – possibly due to the weight of the pump and battery being at the bottom of the unit. I also found it easy to fill and I didn’t notice any leaks during use.

Very well built. I use sprayers a lot and was looking for something with large coverage. The lance is very powerful. I’ve found most or many sprayers the pressure out of lance can be poor so even if slight windy your product you are trying to spray goes everywhere you don’t want it to. The pressure is so strong the wind has no effect.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThe spray is much stronger on this than the little sprayers so it covers more ground a lot quicker and since you’re not pumping up and down at all… it is a very satisfying spraying experience. two things i will note – 1) it does go through a lot more product more quickly (ties into the stronger spray) and 2) it is too heavy for me to lift onto my back full so I only go half way on the tank and that works grand.
one other real advantage is the mesh backrest that keeps the tank from directly contacting your back – LOVELY touch. my back doesn’t get really cold with a tank of cold water.

As with all Ryobi gear this is a decent bit of kit. I filled the tank 3x times to spray weed killer on my very large drive and patio and it barely used 2 bars on the battery. spray is accurate and powerful. I’ve had both manual and electric sprayers before, but this is by far the best. worth every penny.

I’m a big dewalt fan but this unit is as good as you get. Easy to use, simple and very effective. Bought a 5ah battery for it and still on first charge after 4 full tanks, plenty left. Well done Ryobi!! Super product.

I’ve used this to spray moss repellent on my patio and that meant that I filled the reservoir to the max (15L). Trust me, once fully filled it’s heavy. But once I got it onto my back it was absolutely fine (just like a heavy rucksack). The straps make it very secure and it’s easy to use once it’s on your back. I’ve got a variety of spraying devices that I’ve used for weed killer, etc but this is by far the best. It uses the standard Ryobi batteries and doesn’t take much power. I filled the drum four times and I used about 25% of my 5.0Ah battery. It has a nice compartment for the battery which keeps it secure and dry.
