Bien emball et fonctionne bien sur Mac Mini M1. Juste petit rayure sur le c
Sicuramente un valido supporto, ha 3 porte usb, una presa audio, una porta usc, una per le schede video.
Si collega sotto il MacMini. Mio marito si trova benissimo, non un ulteriore ingombro, ed anche carino da vedere. Arrivato puntuale, consigliatissimo, e grazie alla spedizione Amazon dall’esterno del pacco non si vede il contenuto, come invece a volte capita per oggetti di altrettanto valore.
As much as I loved my Mac Mini, this add-on made me love it even more. Literally does everything I expected from it, very pleased with the purchase.
Ho acquistato questo accessorio per il nuovo Mac mini. Come tutti, il motivo quello di avere qualche porta facilmente raggiungibile in pi.
Come hub, mi pare ben costruito. Si posiziona perfettamente alla base del Mac mini.
Le porte USB soprattutto sono di qualit, i cavi non sono per nulla “instabili” o rimovibili per errore.
Gli unici punti negativi sono tre:
1. Le porte USB sono da 5GB/s e non da 10 (lo standard pi recente);
2. Rispetto ad altri hub, questo manca di slot per un disco esterno in formato m.2;
3. L’assenza di un alimentatore esterno.
Come accessorio va bene, ma potrebbe essere migliorato.

Dislikes, transfer speed slows across the hub USB-c to USB-c when transferring files from a nVME SSD from 2.5Gbps plugged in the back of my mini to 800Mbps plugged in front of hub when using Blackmagic Disk Speed App.
Really adds to the use of my Mac mini M1. Makes adding cables and connections so much easier & a great choice of connectors. Matches my ne Mac perfectly
This is one of the best hubs for the Mac mini. I would definitely buy it again if I had to. The things that I have gripes about are:
a) The cable in the back that connects to the back seems lopsided, I wish they thought that thru
b) The LED light of the Mac and the LED of the Satechi Base do not align and that makes my designer OCD brain hurt.
c) Designer rant again – I wish the silver colors matched!
I mounted the hub on top of the Mac mini M1 because it would be awkward placing the Mac mini on top of the hub due to the Macs bottom not being flat. It would also be nice to have more USB C ports. Maybe one less usb 2.0 and 1 extra usb c port.
I absolutely love this product. My only qualm with it is that it doesn’t come with more 3.0 ports or a built in fan as the other popular Mac Mini hubs do. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a way to use expandable storage in a way that doesn’t add clutter to your work environment.
Estoy muy contenta de haber podido finalmente comprar esto en Mxico. Puede parecer caro como un concentrador USB, pero mantiene las cosas muy ordenadas. Me encant cmo tengo todos los puertos en la parte posterior de la Mac Mini y esto me da puertos al frente para mi teclado, mouse y para conectar una unidad flash o cable para transferir datos desde mi telfono y mi iPad. Funciona a la perfeccin. El color es una combinacin perfecta y nunca adivinaras que tengo dos dispositivos.

I bought this after reading some of the negative reviews this had got, I was pleasantly surprised how easy it was to hook upland use. I had just upgraded my Mac mini 2012 to the newest model, to my surprise the Mac mini went from 4 usbs on my 2012 to only 2 usb on the 2020 model. I saw this on Amazon and boy was I glad I decided to try it out. I now have 5 usbs and my problem was solved.
There seemed to be confusion about whether the ports on the front are powered. So I ran my track pad through a USB tester. Coming out of the hub it was 4.84V and 0.46A. For comparison I just unplugged it from the front, added an adapter and plugged it into the USB-C port coming out of the Mac Mini. That’s providing 4.99 V and 0.74A. So the total power output is lower from the hub than the thunderbolt port, but it’s enough for me to charge my keyboard and track pad.
Its a relatively cheap dock that looks nice with the Mac mini. However, the makers of this dock show their product’s LED light matching that of the mini and it does not. Two big differences, the dock’s light is dimmer and not the same kind of white.
I returned it because I wasn’t finding it as useful as I thought I would and found it a waste of money for my needs.
Dopo aver valutato diversi hub per ampliare le porte del mio mac mini M1, ho scelto questo per il bellissimo design. Avevo letto tante lamentele sul fatto che si surriscaldasse e che non avesse un buon sistema di raffreddamento, ma devo dire che oramai (lo uso da un mesetto) tutto va alla grande. I nuovi mac con processore M1 scaldano pochissimo e l’hub non ne risente affatto.. lo uso costantemente e in maniera intensa con programmi di fotoritocco e video. Consigliatissimo. L’unica cosa da notare che, come fatto notare da qualcuno, disturba lievemente il segnale bluetooth di mouse e tastiera, ma insomma nulla di grave che impedisce di lavorarci.
Please with this product although the grey color was lishter that my new mac mini. It would have been great if they had bothered to match the color.
It was a great match to the Mac mini, it perfectly cradles the Mac mini M1 and perfect color match but the only reason I bought it was for the SD card readers. I wish it had more USB C lightning bolt connections in lieu of the old style USB A. The larger SD card reader slot was defective and my SD cards would keep getting jammed into the slot. The micro SD card slot works fine.
Very good hub but with a few needed changes. I like the fact that they added a type C port and the 3.5m jack to the front which all other Mac Mini specific hubs don’t have for some odd reason. Adding a port for an external SSD and adding an extra type C port on the front (swap one of the type A’s for another type C) would make this perfect. It’s a bit overpriced but not too bad. A hub is a must have if you own a Mac Mini and the Satechi seems to be the best choice on the market right now.

Bought this for the new M1 Mac Mini as it has next to no ports. The dock is the darker colour designed for the previous Intel Mac Mini but it does fit exactly, however the short docking cable does not perfectly align with the M1’s USBC port, but it is long enough to reach comfortably without causing any issues.
All the ports work well, it feels like a premium product and critically for me, it takes up no extra space on your desk.
All Mac mini’s should come with one of these as standard in my opinion.

An outstanding little bit of kit that has come in really handy with the new Mac mini M1. Nice build quality, fits like a dream and has been performing as expected.. if you’re in need of a solid bolt on for some extra ports with the added bonus of a card reader and front facing mini-jack then this is the one.

There is another one of these available from the USA with space for an internal SSD & I was tempted, but this one has a USC C socket so that swayed it for me. All in all a lovely product with a Mac mini M1.
At the price point I would expect to see a SATA connection to enable an external Solid State drive. Otherwise the unit works just fine, never had any heat form my M1 Mac mini so cannot comment on the docks ventilation ports.

Great hub to marry with your 2018+ Mac Mini, has just the I/O you need on the front, colour match with my 2018 mac mini isn’t exact but still I like the finish.
The next version of this could be outstanding with a few tweaks, powered ports maybe, a location for a SSD or M2 storage like this one:

Some people are saying their Minis are getting hot when using this dock but I’ve been using the dock with the Mac Mini base plate removed to help airflow and its been staying cool, Maybe the next version of this dock could attach to the Mac Mini in the same way the base plate does, just a thought.
Works as described for the Mac Mini. But it is not made of Aluminium, as others mentioned, it is made of cheap plastic….
Great invention as an addition to the Apple PC and suits it perfectly and does the job.. Would highly recommend.
Color does not bother me it’s close but all USB inputs and SD card reader are just what I needed. About the heat it’s easy to get an app for that. I use Mac Fan Control and purchased the pro version that I can customize my fan settings. So no heat issues. The mini get’s hot on intense use anyway. I tried the AGPTEK and beside having a slow hard drive interface all the inputs are slow and the quality is poor.

The only issue I experienced is that the Mac mini is heating up. I had to purchase some stands to keep the flat base off the desk. This has resolved the issue

I bought this for my new mac mini. The first product that came has a defect in the 3.5mm jack port: not recognized by the OS. I returned it and got try my luck with the second one. It works well! 3.5mm jack port is recognized without issue. The USB ports are all working. It also gives an elegant touch to the Mac mini on top of keeping the unit cooler by the presence of air vents.

Product is light weight. Fits the Mac mini 2018 (bought in 2020). Not a 100% fit just slightly off, only noticeable if you are a perfectionist.
USB A ports able to charge my keychron k2 although advertised as unable to charge.
LED status light is not visible during day time especially when you not looking at it from the front angle.
FAN is so quiet I wonder if it is spinning at all. Didn’t care since my Mac mini runs cool most of the time.

What a stunning addition to my new mac mini setup! Doesn’t add much depth and has all the ports I need. Finish is a perfect match to 2020 mac mini.
An Apple store person put me onto this product – I was complaining about having to use my Mac mini backwards to allow access to all the ports.
Not cheap, but solidly built out of matching space grey aluminium and nestling neatly beneath my Mac mini, it gives me access to three USB-A ports, a USB-C port, headphone jack and two SD card slots, while allowing me to hide the Mac mini ports (power, ethernet etc) around the back.

It would have been nice to have a power source to charge other electronics and possibly a fan for cooling purposes, if it’s quite or possible to turn off. Aside from that it’s solid hub.

Je n’ai rencontr aucune des difficults des commentaires prcdents : couleur, prises, dissipation thermique … La LED en faade est quasi invisible (inutile ?).
Deux amliorations possibles :
– l’alimentation par le port USB-C en faade,
– l’intgration d’un support pour SSD (NVMe pour ne pas dgrader la dissipation thermique).

Lo uso quotidianamente soprattutto per leggere SD dalla fotocamera e funziona senza problemi.
Solamente non ho notato un reale vantaggio nel “raffreddamento”: tra le caratteristiche leggevo di una migliore dissipazione del calore, ma le temperature sono invariate.
La porta USB-C non supporta la tecnologia Thunderbolt ma funziona benissimo per un collegamento di pendrive o dispositivi con cavo USB-C.
Il prezzo un po’ alto, ma un prodotto unico nel suo genere, soprattutto a livello qualitativo.
I bought this product like many of us Mac Mini users there just isn’t enough ports.
With this device, I now have access to more x3 USB A slots and one more USB C. The most important thing as a content creator for me is now I have direct access to Micro/SD card slot which has saved me from buying a card reader plus keeps my desk neat.
Not the exact colour of my Mac Mini apart from that this is a great purchase for Mac Mini users.
I bought a new Mini early 2020. It has 4 USB-C and 2 USB 3 ports around the back. It doesn’t take much effort in a desktop environment to fill those up these days. Reaching around the back is not hard (the Mini is “mini” after all) but all the cables are so close to each other.
This hub takes up just one USB-C connector at the back and then gives you 1 x USB-C, 3 x USB 3, 1 x headphone port, 1 x micro SD and 1 x SD slot in a handy, front-mounted location.
There is also a little white LED in a similar location to the one on the Mac Mini – but it’s not easy to see from anything but a head-on angle.
The latest Mac Mini computers tend to run hot. The CPUs they’re using love running up to 80+ degrees. I’ve tweaked my fan settings to try and head-off such thermal nastiness and have not found this Satechi hub to add to the thermal problems. It has a clear flow of air through the hub to the inlets at the bottom of the Mini. This was my main worry prior to buying the hub – but I’ve not noticed the Mini behaving any differently with regards to the heat of the CPU/unit.
It’s not the most affordable accessory but it looks great and provides very handy access to ports. If you regularly want to plug in USB drives or plug in an iPad via USB-C then I recommend taking a look at this hub to make your life more fulfilled (OK, well, it’s handy).
Performance wise it ticks all the boxes. All the ports are working fine and as fast as I need. Just be aware that when inserting an SD card that you place it in upside down. The manufacturer claim that this hub is not designed for charging or giving power but I have found that it charges my apple Watch no problem and it also powers and charges my desktop USB fan, so that’s a bonus for me.

This add-on is perfect for bringing port access to the front of my new late 2018 Mini. I would have liked the feet to a bit bigger (taller) so you could actually get a good finger grip on the various connections. A big improvement over the traditional standalone hub. It does not lock onto the mini, so the unit cannot be placed on edge.
The product is amazing and does exactly what it says it does whilst smoothly blending in with your existing Mac mini

This is great. Gives me extra ports. The device footprint is exactly the same as the Mac Mini 2018. Highly recommended. It clears my desk of the other USB hub I had.
Looks very good sat under the Mac. Does exactly what you’d expect. If I had to change one existing feature, I’d make the feet more resistant to slipping. On my desk, when you try to insert a USB cable/key you need to hold the top of the Mac to stop the whole thing slipping around. Looking forward to an updated version with the ability to add an SSD…that would be just wonderful 🙂

Excellent design, complementary to the MacMini profile. The ports are conveniently located at the front of the unit and installation was simple with a single connection to the MacMini at the rear with the MacMini cradled on the hub.
Very convenient functional and attractive with a ‘built in’ look.
Got one for my 2018 Mini. Mainly for the front facing audio input. Allows me to have external speakers attached using the standard audio port on the Mini, and still use a headset when I choose. Without having to plug anything in. The Mini auto detects the headphones now, so I don’t even have to change settings.
But…. My unit came with loose USB ports. Not enough retention when you plug in a cable. Cables would come out with minimum tug. A couple of quick emails to Support, and verification of purchase, a replacement unit was sent right away. Free postage both ways.
Now if they can only get the color to match the current Mac Mini.
I’d seen other reviews writing about issues with interaction with the bluetooth keyboard/mouse and also the colour not matching. For me these were not issues. I use the apple keyboard and mouse without issue, and the colour match is perfect! It looks fantastic and works so well. Having card slots on the front is so helpful along with high speed USB etc for pulling content on cameras etc.

Bei einer SanDisk Ultra Mico SDXC A2 schafft er, Write 62.8MB/s — Read 90.4 MB/s Der Micro SD Karten Slot ist schlecht gelst, die Karte sitzt etwas zu tief im Hub und geht daher sehr schwer wieder raus. Micro SD Karte zeigt nach oben.
Der SD Karten Slot wurde perfekt umgesetzt, mal abgesehen davon, dass die Karte nach unten zeigt. Beim SD Karten Slot steht die Karte etwas raus, einstecken und entfernen der Karte geht super.
Man kann beide SD Karten gleichzeitig nutzen.
Eine USB-C SanDisk Extreme Portable SSD direkt am Mini angeschlossen schafft 473MB/s Write, 528MB/s Read. Die gleiche Festplatte am USB-C Anschluss des Hubs 374MB/s Write, 413MB/s Read.
Leider geht mein Ipad Pro ber den Anschluss weder zu Laden, was ja noch ok wre, noch ist es fr Datenaustausch zu gebrauchen. Mit Adapter Kabel USB-A auf USB-c geht dann der Datenaustausch. Warum geht es nicht am USB-C Anschluss?
Der USB-C Stecker vorne sitz fest, was man von den USB-A Anschlsse nicht behaupten kann. Die Stecker gehen sehr leicht rein und raus, ist nicht sehr vertrauenswrdig, ist aber angenehm beim Anstecken. Hatte bisher keinen Datenverlust und hab schon einiges damit gemacht. Mein Iphone X, Garmin Fenix 5 und eine GoPro Hero 8 kann ich am USB A Anschluss Laden.
USB Anschlsse sind 3.0 Wird eine USB 3.0 Festplatte angeschlossen wird es in der Systemsteuerung auch so angezeigt. Iphone am USB Anschluss ist halt nur USB 2.0
Edit: upon reading other reviews, I can say that the Mac mini seems to run hotter when using this hub. I can’t see how the vents on this thing improve airflow compared to standalone. I plan to mod this thing and widen the vents to improve the air circulation.
Another complaint others have made is Bluetooth interference. Inside the hub is a thick metal plate bolted right in the centre. I have no idea what it does apart from giving the hub some weight. Perhaps it is causing signal attenuation?
One last thing, the USB ports are a bit loose. I would have liked it a bit firmer. The USB-C and audio ports seem fine though.

Very pleased with this product. Looks like it was a part of the Mac Mini. Quality of this hub is very high. Delivery was exceptionally fast.
It’s a natural extension of the 2018 Mac Mini. I got it for the multiple USB ports, Card Reader and USB C ports. The fit and finish is very close to the Mini’s footprint. In my opinion, it’s good value for the money.
I spotted this on amazon at the bottom of the page whilst looking at another product and i’m so glad i did i purchased it and got it delivered the next day, i have a 2018 space grey mac mini and it’s frustrating trying to fiddle on to find a usb port at the back of it when i plug my iphone in or usb stick etc and now this stylish product looks as stunning as my mac mini and now it’s so much easier to plug my iphone in and my usb sticks and SD cards etc, if you have a mac mini 2018 then do not hesitate in purchasing this product you will not be disappointed

It’s unobtrusive and matches the Mac Mini look and aesthetic very well.
It gives the Mac Mini additional legacy ports and places these ports at the front of the device so that you don’t have to go fiddling around at the back of your Mac to connect devices.
It cuts down of the number of dongles that I need to use as it includes a 3 USB-A and 1 USB-C ports, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a couple of micro/SD card readers.
The ventilation on the devices is well thought out and allows airflow around the bottom of the Mac Mini.
Overall, I am very happy with the device HOWEVER none of the ports are powered. The ports are only for data. There is no thunderbolt 3 support, and this means that powering or charging devices is not possible with this hub. This is a shame because in every other way this product is great.
This is a solid, well-built device that is an ideal accessory for a Mac Mini. Expensive, but well worth the money.

Die Farbe ist nicht 100% exakt die Selbe wie diese des Minis – aber nur minimal!
Diese zwei Punkte – eigentlich ja nur einer – fhren deshalb bei mir zu keinen Punktabzgen!
