If your looking at this your most likely to be like me and want the best of everything to make gaming even better.
I have the elite 1 and 2 and and the things I like more with the scuff are the triggers feel great and the option to quickly map buttons to the back paddles . It’s a lot of money to spend I’d probably stick with the elite 2 as it’s a little cheape

I’ve had it a week yes it’s a bit pricey but I use the elite and this is more lighter to hold I like the built in paddles as I have small hand overall I’m happy with i

SCUF Instinct Pro is the latest offering for Xbox users in the field of controllers. Let’s face it, the price is high, higher than the Elite Series 2.

The latest model is the first approach of the legendary manufacturer to the keypad dedicated to the Xbox Series X|S.

Is it enough to call it the best controller for Microsoft consoles?

The controller is very similar to the basic one and thus it is well made, and the configurator on the pre-order page allows you to slightly modify the appearance.

My copy has a non-standard front panel (Galaxy), it connects to the rest magnetically, so it can be easily replaced with another one. Goes well with the orange buttons.

This is where SCUF leads the way, the controller can be customized to suit your requirements in terms of presence. Analog sticks are one of the novelties, similar ones are available for the Elite Series 2.

Instinct Pro is heavier than standard, but I have no problems with it. I don’t mind it and the extra weight equates to better performance. It can be lowered by removing the vibrations, but I have them in my copy.

Another difference is the A, B, X, Y buttons, they have a lower pitch and therefore work well when you need to press the same button faster. I got used to it quickly, but others may need more time.

I used Instinct Pro only when playing on Xbox Series S, and later X, when I decided to buy a more powerful console model.

The controller worked great when I played Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 (Countdown mode). Additional buttons helped me during battles with hunters, and these are the strongest opponents in this production.

Forza Horizon 5 was next on the grid, the manipulator worked great, especially strong vibrations.

The layout of the buttons is the same, so you can quickly start playing your favorite titles. The paddles are intuitive and help the player a lot depending on the genre of the game. They look different compared to the Elite Series 2. The green manipulator has the paddles close together, and those in the Instinct Pro are placed at different angles.

In The Division 2, I use all the paddles, have skills on/off, weapon reload, and use armor. In racing, two are enough to shift gears if I want to use a manual gearbox.

The mechanism for changing the stroke of the triggers has changed, now they behave the same as a mouse click when activated. I prefer the mechanism from Presitge or Elite Series 2, because in the new controller it performs poorly, weapons start firing in bursts, and they shouldn’t.

It can be slightly modified before the game, but it comes down to changing the type of analog sticks. Just remove the front panel, pull out the default ones and change to others that are included in the set.

There was room for the mute button, but it works only with wired headsets. When it comes to them, you can connect any of the compatible ones, because there are both sockets to be used.

DuraCell batteries are included for up to 30 hours of gaming. You can also use Play&Charge sets, then the working time is the same or sometimes longer.

The Instinct Pro can be charged wirelessly (to some extent). If the charger uses its own battery caps, it can be difficult because SCUF has used different ones.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great evolution of Prestige

This pad is far far better than the elite series 2 controller as the past 2 year I’ve been through a few of them. and as for this only time will tell. Will update if the pad explodes and I manage to survive the blas

    No regrets

Hope this thing lasts, still think it’s worth 150 but got it around 180. So yeah, an investment but really enjoy it, it’s my first ‘elite’ controller and I get it. Not serious gamer but the extra buttons, texture grip on the back amongst other bits is an improvement. Just not 200quid worth, imo. Gets 5 star based on then price (then) and it exceed my expectations.

Quality product but you can’t improve your gaming by buying decent equipment as I found out.
Not cheap, but you can feel the build quantity. I went for the 3 year accidental damage cover to ensure a bit more value for money, just in case.

Can highly recommend this product, after 13 years of competitive gaming I’ve always held my word on scuff controllers being the best, in every aspect if its comfort or just trying to grab every chance of having the upper hand against your fellow gamers this controller will give you a great advantage and a noticeable one at that!. Price sounds very expensive but you get what you pay for.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersGood controller but a shame they use Hermes/Evri to Deliver, they are useless absolutely crap service and take ages to receive and can’t contact anyone.

Upon receiving it tho it’s a great little addition to a gaming g set up, can’t fault the scuf!

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersI bought this after going through 3 elite controllers in a year, always the bumpers keep breaking. So I payed even more for this scuff controller. It’s ok but I find that the X button and B button don’t always work first press and the trigger adjustment isn’t as good as the elite. Was it worth over 200 ?, Definitely not in my opinion just buy a standard replacement instead.

    I love this controller.
Mainly use it for playing COD and the mouse click trigger buttons are superb.
Controller is extremely comfortable to use and grippy because of the grip around the handles.
It has programmable profiles so you can switch between different games if needed. Pretty easy to program.
Looks beautiful and feels premium. 10/10 from me so far after a months use.

    Premium pro controlle

As far as premium controllers go, this is the best. Not too sure about the build quality yet though, as i aint had it long.
Will change review if found to have a short lifespan. But so far this is the best. Tried pretty much all of them. They’ve either broken or dont feel right.

I have been using official xbox controllers for a while now, so this looked like a great upgrade to them. Wow, this certainly is a bit more fancier.

The price may be eye watering, but if you look past that the controller is gorgeous.

As a big gamer, I use a controller 2nd behind the keyboard and mouse, so it’ll be held a lot. It’s VERY comfortable in the hand, great weight and it just feels so nice to use.

I will be putting my other controllers on my display shelf now and will be using this going forwards.

    Love it.

All the main electronic components (the joysticks, the buttons, triggers) are essentially identical to that of an Orginal Xbox Series X controller however SCUF adds some great to have features. The normal Xbox controller is already so I’ll just talk about the additions that SCUF has:

    LOOKS and REMOVEABLE Backplate
This controller looks absolutely stunning, the matte finish on the grey plastic with orange highlights looks amazing in person. The front plate is only magnetically attached and comes off really easy. Customisable ones can be purchased from their site, just a great add on to have.

    PADDLES at the back
I was sceptical of 4 paddles at the back, especially with reachability. But once I tried it, it has forever changed how I game. They sit naturally where your middle finger rests and after some practice become second nature to press. They can be paired to any button on the controller and its got a built in memory for 3 presets which helps swap between games

    ADJUSTABLE TRIGGERS
I do not understand the point of this feature. There’s a switch behind each trigger that converts them to tactile buttons but the buttons’ press is too shallow to give any meaningful feedback. I couldn’t find any use for it in any of the games I play

    GRIPS at the back
IMO this is the controller’s best feature. The rubber grips at the back add a great texture and feel to the controller and absolutely contribute to the controller feeling ultra premium. A normal Xbox controller feels cheap after getting used to this.

Speaking of ultra-premium, the price tag of over 200 simply cannot be ignored. On top of that, it is a shame that SCUF only offers a 6-month warranty whereas the original Xbox controller comes with 2 years. That being said, this controller is one of a kind and SCUF have every right to charge the price they are for it, it is well built, very well built and premium, it doesn’t pretend to be anything less.

Hope you found my review helpful.

Makes an an already great control premium and feature-rich!

My Husband realy likes this controler he uses it with his PC .He said it’s sturdy and good quality . The extra thumbsticks are a huge plus because he usually has to buy them separately . Great for the price and fast delivery.

    Highly recommend

It feels very lightweight, with a soft-feeling surface and is well made. It’s very comfortable to use especially with the rubberized grips. The trigger switches work without a problem on console or PC, so you can go from trigger-pull to mouse-click in any game you choose. The sticks and triggers have more resistance than other controllers I’ve used, but this won’t bother you at all beyond noticing it and I rather like it. The inner pair of paddles underneath were my only concern, but as it turns out they aren’t awkward to use at all.

After my original Elite fell to bits I didn’t want an Elite 2. With the SCUF you can’t customise your stick responsiveness, but that feature is being introduced to most standard in-game options anyway.
