Played Valkyrie on siege and placed a couple of them around the map to view opponents entering sight, does a good job if you know where to place them

The ability to swivel makes the coverage of indoor camera very effective. Great product.

You get a lot of features with this indoor security camera. I think it’s important to understand that you have the choice of joining up to a cloud subscription but this isn’t actually necessary.
As long as you add a memory card to your camera then you can record onto that or onto your phone app if you happen to be away while someone is breaking in!

You can zoom in during and also afterwards and get a good clear image of anyone who is in your house when they aren’t supposed to be.

The night mode is great too but it’s important to remember that this is an indoor camera. If you have it pointing outside then don’t expect a great image.

There is a siren to scare potential burglars away and also there is a ‘spotlight’. Personally I don’t find the spotlight to be very good at all and all it will do is draw the person towards it so that they can pull it out from the plug.

You have a plethora of different settings that you can set including a home and away feature, noise detection and person detection.

All in all a very good indoor security camera!

Personally think this security camera is grea

This is the 3rd Imou indoor camera in the house. I have one in the kitchen/diner, one in the hallway and one in the landing of 1st floor. I had them installed mainly for my cats while we are away from home. We need to check on them regulary to make sure they are ok. I especially like to talk to them over the cameras and love to see their cute reactions to our sounds. Hopefully one day, the camera could be two way video so they can see me in the cameras.
This Imou indoor camera has a great picture quality. It was connected on my first attempt. Both the sound quality and the picture quality are good. Great night vision as well. I can clearly see my cats moving in the dark. The app is easy to use and works well with the camera.
Very happy with Imou’s security camera products.

We ordered this camera for my mother in law as since my father in law passed away she is home alone during the day when myself and my husband are working in the office.

I wasn’t quite sure at first what to make of it as the reviews were very hit and miss however we were intrigued to try it and make our own minds up and have to say we are very impressed with this camera.

The camera comes presented well and securely and first impressions were that we liked the look and feel of it which feels well built and sturdy.

Installation was pretty simple and straightforward for my husband and connecting to the app was easy enough to do.

The picture quality is very impressive and the night vision is excellent. The motion detection is very responsive even from the day to night vision. Added bonus is that you get a 360 vision and also a two way audio. It’s also supported via Alexa and there is also a Micro SD slot at the back of the camera too.

At the current price of 49.99 its excellent value for money for all the tech you get.
    Highly recommended.

This is a nice sized standard quality security cam for indoor use. The camera can scan and be directed around and there is a two way mic so I can hear the room and those in the room can hear me if I press talk. Set up and pairing is so quick and easy with the app. The night vision is impressively clear. I find that the cam doesn’t pick up on quiet sounds too well but anything over a certain level can be heard and let’s you know. The camera moves fluidly and with little sound. The only thing I would improve is the ability for the camera to look down as this range is a bit more limited. A simple design but a lot has been taken into consideration and I think this would be fantastic for most households.

A much needed camera in our household.
We keep it in our leaving room so that we can watch over kids while at work and they home with baby sitters.
The camera’s picture quality is reasonable good ,especially the night vision .
I was concerned about the quality however while running ok the dark bit Was actually surprised that the image is very clear too.
Human detection ,a much needed feature as we also have a dog who sleeps in the leaving room at night and the last thing I want is the camera to send me alarm only because my dog is moving 🙂
The camera has the capability to turn for almost 360′ so if mounted on the felling it will be even better as it catches ale very angle.
The installation is a bit awkward as not as clear instructions ,and when wanted to play the video some adverts will pop up which are annoying .
Multipurpose camera can be used as a security indoor camera too or just to monitor kids/pets.
Two way system so that we can speak through the app using the camera.
Sleek design ,so far I am quite happy with it .

I wanted a camera for our living room to be able to keep an eye on our house rabbit and also to make sure our toddler is behaving whilst I’m in our adjoining kitchen. This camera is a bit of a beast, but it definitely has good tech inside.

    Pros:
    * Ultra crisp imagery, night and day
    * Motion detection notifications
    * Privacy mode and TLS encryption
    * Can pan/tilt the camera
    * Mountable or can sit on a shelf
    * Comes with a very long wire and AC adapter

    Cons:
    * Quite big and dark; looks very obvious and garish

It’s a fairly fancy piece of kit, very sturdy and looks like a security camera. It’s quite big, sort of like a magic 8 ball, and looks dark like one too. The AC adapter and provided wire are black too, so on white walls it’s very noticeable… If I’m being honest, this is the only thing I dislike about it, it’s just not very pretty and definitely shouts security. This could be deemed a good thing though for some use cases.

Otherwise, functionally it is excellent. It was relatively easy to set up (once I actually got our WiFi password right) with the Imou Life app. There’s a QR code on the device you scan and it sets up fairly seamlessly from there. You do need to give the app permissions to media and location (why?!) and need to set up an account with them which uses 2 factor authentication.

It can only use a 2.4Ghz network so hopefully your router will do this automatically, but our bands are separated so I chose the 2.4Ghz one (it’s very easy to do in your router settings if you need to do this, just look up instructions on how to do it with your model. As a plus it stops all the devices fighting over 2.4Ghz if you want to dedicate the 5Ghz for your phone/tablet!).

Once set up, you immediately have access to the camera. There are some features which require a subscription like AI mode and tracking when it detects motion, but you still get most core features without a subscription like sensor notifications, movement etc plus some fine-tuning settings.

Privacy is very important to us and although ultimately it is a brand we don’t recognise, there is a privacy mode which when switched on the camera faces down and disables live view, which I like, plus you can turn on TLS encryption too to ensure the media transmitted is secure. So you can hope it’s all secure, but do your research into WiFi security.

The image quality is pretty insane for a camera of this price. The 1080p setting is really good, with very clear imagery in the light or dark. The angle is very wide too so you can see a lot in one view. I’m really impressed with night mode too.. Generally, absolutely no complaints for visuals whatsoever.

The app usability is really good too. You can do everything you’d expect, from moving the camera, recording, using your microphone, taking screen shots, changing video quality/storage etc. There’s also a really cool feature where you can minimize the live window so you have it open on your phone when you are doing other things.

Overall, for us, it’s exactly what I wanted and probably more, in the fact it’s just really high-spec and the camera quality is far better than I expected. It’s only a little bit more money than standard cameras so I’d say it’s worth paying the extra and getting this one, as it really has been easy to use, plus you get everything you need from fixings to the AC adapter.

A really excellent, good value monitoring camera, perfect for pets and toddlers, and love the extra features in the app and privacy mode. It just loses one star in the looks department.

Fluid, crisp imagery... Perfect for pets & toddlers!

The Imou indoor wireless security camera is an awesome looking sphere-form camera. It can be placed on a table or mounted on the ceiling. It was simple to set up, all I had to do was download the Imou Life app and scan the QR code on the bottom of the camera to add the device. I really like the app; it’s really user-friendly, and everything works perfectly. I can move the camera position on my iPhone by pressing the joypad on the screen to navigate right/left/up/down and zooming in/out by pinching the screen. The camera can rotate 355 degrees and tilt 90 degrees. I can capture screenshots, record, and use the built-in two-way audio capability with ease. When watching in day/night mode on my phone and from the SD card when connected to my computer, the picture quality is clear. If you don’t want to subscribe for the cloud subscription, the camera can be used with an SD card up to 256GB. From the event history menu option, I can easily see the history of every event captured. The motion detection and push notification alerts are excellent, and I’m really impressed. I like how a picture snapshot of the event shows as a push notification so you I see what’s going on right away. The camera is Alexa-compatible and performs well. I have the camera in my living room, and an Amazon Echo Show in my bedroom, so I can ask Alexa to show it to me. Overall, this is a terrific indoor camera with a lot of useful functions. The camera shielding mode for greater privacy, Adjust motion zone, human detection / smart tracking for more accurate warnings and recoding, security siren to disturb any intruders, and a built-in motion activated spotlight are just a few of the features that make this a complete indoor camera. This camera allows me to monitor my home from nearly anywhere, giving me peace of mind. I like that the app can be downloaded and camera shared with relatives or friends to keep an eye on things whilst I’m away.

As usual, the package arrived very quickly from Amazon.

I ordered a Imou Rex 1080p Indoor Security Camera, but the camera I received was in fact a Ranger Pro, so not a good start. Inside the box is the camera, a power supply with a USB-A to Micro USB cable, a quick start guide, 4 screws and 4 wall plugs, a wall bracket and a template to use to help with positioning of the screws.

When I opened the box and took the camera out, it looked a little bigger than I expected, but it did look good, I like the design, it looks quite futuristic and modern compared to some of the cameras I own.

Setting up was quite straightforward, first I downloaded Imou Life app from the play store. I have a dual band router; I just switched off the 5GHz, connected the camera through the app, and then switched the 5GHz signal back on, it connected very quickly.

When it first came on it turned to calibrate itself, as it turned and reached the back, it started to make a juddering noise which was quite loud (see video), and still continues to do this weeks later, the strange thing is, it doesn’t do this when I use the pan and tilt on the app, and turn it all the way round, I did write to their customer support, and they replied this is normal, I have other cameras that can turn like this one and not one of them shudders or makes a loud noise.

The picture quality in the day is really clear, and at night using the night vision it is also very good, I can’t fault it in any way.

As for notifying you when it is armed and someone comes into its detection range is very fast, it sends a notification to your phone, you tap on the notification and it takes you to the app where you can see a still picture of what it has seen, then if you want to see a video, you can go to recordings section of the app and watch it there, I have a Micro SD card installed, and it does sometimes take a few minutes before you can watch the video of the event.

This camera was recognised by Alexa very quickly and works perfectly.

At the time of writing this review the price is 59.99, this is the price for the Rex 1080, but at the moment there is a 9 discount voucher bringing the price down to 50.99, the one I actually received, the Ranger Pro is priced at 49.99, even though I like the camera I personally think is a little on the expensive side.

I hope you have found this review, photos and video helpful.

Good camera except for the juddering!

Security Camera Indoor WiFi 1080P Pet Dog Camera Baby Monitor, 360 Home IP Camera with Spotlight Siren/Color Night Vision/AI Human Detection/Smart Tracking/2-Way Audio/Privacy Mode/Work with Alexa is currently at the price of 50.99 (with an extra 9 off voucher) including next day quick delivery and 30 days returns if anything goes wrong with the item.
I got this camera so I could watch my bunny rabbit while I am away on holiday as I hired someone to come and check up on him now and again, so I wanted to make sure that the person is taking good care of him and he will not get hurt.
The camera has to be plugged in at all times in order to work (I little Biot wished it was rechargeable though I don’t think that option would last for longer than a few days without extra charge).
In order to connect the camera to your phone, you need to get the right app and you just have to scan the barcode that is on the box. After that, the connection is very easy, but please be aware you might have to split your broadband to 2.4ghz and 5ghz as you might have difficulties with the connection.
As I have few smart devices at home it was really easy for me and after connecting the camera to the app, my Alexa connected with it automatically – not sure why, but sometimes it catches straight away the new smart devices I connect to my phone.
To save the images you can either do it via the cloud which requires a subscription or you can use a micro SDF card – I chose the second option.
The quality of the video is very good as well as the pictures. Night vision is superb, though I don’t think I will be using it while I am home as watching myself sleep is a little bit creepy.
Overall I think it’s a very good quality camera, though I have to say I had a similar camera before (that I gave to my sister) that was much cheaper and worked as good as this one, so I would say it is a little bit overpriced.

With a house full of pets It’s important for us to keep an eye on them 24/7 especially when we’re not home. This camera is a reasonably priced addition to our home security that offers a decent live viewing picture of the whole room it’s in.

The camera is easy to set up on your phone and within minutes we were able to watch a live stream.
You do need a memory card though if you want to be able to go back and watch anything captured when not viewing it live, however you can save photos and videos that you take and record while watching it live (they just save to the app and can be downloaded to your camera roll on your phone).

Both the live stream and any saved videos are fantastic quality. It’s clear and bright even in low light.

The night vision is also a fantastic quality picture and everything is easy to see.

You can mount the camera on your ceiling or have it free standing. I set it up free standing but then had an issue of the picture being upside down when we tried to see what it was like from the ceiling. We don’t plan to use it from the ceiling so didn’t worry about solving it but it didn’t seem like a bit of a flaw.

The camera has a wide range of movement and can spin 360 degrees. It’s almost soundless when moving and you can adjust it by tiny amount in the app if you need to.

The app you need to use it is also easy to use and pretty straight forward.

The whole thing also looks great. It’s sleek and compact and wouldn’t be out of place in any room.

Overall I’m really happy with this camera and would definitely recommend it.

    Fantastic picture quality.

IMOU in-door security camera WIFI 1080P: Lots of conflicting views on this in-doors security camera but I personally find it fairly good – so here’s my 10 penneth that worth. I’m not very techy and I did scratch my head a few times setting this up, but with the help of the quick set-up guide I downloaded the app and followed it carefully and et voila – I had it working within 20 mins, I panicked a little when it offered me a firmware update.but did it anyway, this apparently ensures the most up to date software is in place.

It provides quite impressive picture quality, colour by day but even the nighttime black and white pictures are very good. I like the human detection feature which works effectively and can determine human motion specifically, while the tracker does well at keeping the person nicely in-shot, we experienced no issues with it alerting to the cat.

The images are a little affected by bright or sudden shafts of light, such as sunlight or headlights moving across the room, this tends to blur the images and make them a little fuzzy. The audio is quite adequate, may be a little muffled but I’m being picky.

The camera looks quite cute, but it is obvious what it is- if anyone did enter your home I suspect they’d be able identify and put it out of action quite quickly but, hopefully not before you could get a good shot of them! There’s an option to pay for storing images if you wish, I’m happy using an SD card.

I think It’s a fair price for a pretty comprehensive piece of kit and I’m very happy with it.

Although I like this camera a lot, I do think it’s too pricey, that’s the reason for only four stars.

It’s a lovely round shape, very modern looking.

It’s wifi 1080 camera and is for pet watching and baby monitoring, it has a spotlight and a siren.

The vision is excellent during the day and at night, I’m real pleased about that as some cameras have everything you want but the vision is not good.

Cloud storage. Audio is two way so if you want to chat with someone in another room or upstairs you can.

I am not a technical person but I found it easy to install, no problems at all.

This has a 3 metre cable which is good and in the box you will find everything you need to mount the camera on the wall if you wish.

It is in my opinion too expensive, there is a lot of competition on the market and most are cheaper.

I do hope this review has been helpful to you.

I love this camera. Not only does it look great it works really well. Quality of the camera is good and quality of the image is better. The camera has motion tracking and can accept a memory card so you have the choice of using a card or storing on the cloud (subscription required for the cloud). I opted for memory card as I don’t need cloud storage for this and it works a treat. All movement is marked on the timeline so it’s easy to see when someone or something has triggered it. The camera rotates almost 360 degrees and can look straight up too. Handy if you have a large room with lots of areas to cover. LED under the camera shows it’s connected ok and can be switched on/off or used as a night light but it’s not that bright so not really of much use for anything. The camera also has night vision which works particularly well. Very happy with this camera.

Simple to install and works grea

This camera is perfect! It says it only supports upto a 128gb micro sd so I tried putting a 256gb in and it works, because it has a sdxc card reader im pretty confident it will support upto 1tb atleast. The quality of this camera is fantastic, the human detection is brilliant and super reliable and I had no issues checking out the live stream from my smart phone using my 4g data. Haven’t tried night vision as of yet but you can turn the led light off so this camera is super stealthy which is perfect on not getting the intruders attention. Excellent product for the price

This is an excellent little indoor camera.

There are a lot of different types of cameras online and going through them all is difficult – however I am glad I decided to gives this camera a go.

The camera is packaged nicely in a box which contains the camera, USB cable, UK plug and a small easy to fit mount.

The camera is ball/circular shaped with motion which includes – night vision, smart tracking, 1080p video and 355 degree and 90 degree pan/tilt.

For the price the features are very good and I would definitely recommend the camera based on that.

Setup: The setting up of the device was extremely simple and within about 2 minutes – I was up and running. Download the app – register – scan QR code (You can also add manually), the app does the rest.

The responsiveness of the camera is also impressive – I’ve had others in the past where the app can be slow to load or loading the camera to view what is going on can be slow – however there is none of that with this camera. The app loads quick and the video is showing all in less than 5 seconds. Very impressive.

The camera quality is good and streams at a decent rate on to your phone. No issues in identifying persons on the camera. I’m not sure how it would work over a larger distance – I only use it to keep watch on my dog while out and about :).

The tilt and pan function work well within the app and is again responsive to requests from the app. There is a card slot on the back for saving motion and clips etc – saves having to pay the subscription fee for cloud storage – again all very simple to setup.

I’ve had no issues with the camera and I am perfectly happy with it – as would anyone else who decides to get hold of this camera.

Easy to install and control - Good picture quality.

2.4GHz WiFi, 4MP QHD 128GB microSD card is 2 weeks recording (256GB is max size card). Integrate with cloud, microSD card or better still integrate to a NVR system locally. I tried all three and settled with the NVR. It is motion activated, human detection, privacy mask, two way talk, 110dB siren, pan and tilt controls, and night vision controls. 355 Pan and 90 tilt. Once detection is triggers this camera smoothly follows it. QR code setup to a smart phones. Comes with mounting plates and a 3m micro USB cable. The IMOU cloud is only 7days so if using for premesis protection use an NVR for 30 days recordings. This is well made with quality materials. Overall performance during the day is outstanding. In keeping with most cameras the night vision is a compromise on colour and quality. Happy to recommend, Andrew.

This security camera arrived securely packaged in a reinforced, branded box. Included were the camera, a USB plug, a 3m micro ‘A’ cable and a quick start guide.

The camera itself is very contemporary looking, a nice change from those corporate-looking white cameras, and can be flat or wall mounted.

It sets up via a dedicated app on Android or Apple: This is simple to understand and set up and up to 6 members of the household can view it simultaneously. If you have more than one Imou camera in the house you can look at each view in split-screen. Footage can be stored in an SD card within the camera, or you can opt for 30 days cloud storage for E70 a year.

In terms of features, what you get is inevitably fairly standard, as the technology in these products tends to progress along the same lines: 4MP camera at 2.5K resolution, 360 tracking, spotlight, siren, colour night vision, people detector, smart tracking, two way audio, and masking option. It can be voice activated by Alexa too.

In a crowded market, then recommended for it’s stylish modern appearance and simplicity of use.

I found it very easy to install with the app and the picture quality is fantastic.
It has a few extra features such as a siren which you can manually set off from the app and a light, the siren is OK but I don’t really see the point of the light.
Overall it works very well and I am really pleased with it.

Unlike others, I found this camera pretty easy to setup. It was well packaged and you are guided by the instructions to download the IMOU app from your chosen App Store. Once registered and the camera is logged into your account (scan QR code) then it’s ready to be used.

Settings can easily be adjusted and you can practice positioning this so you get the best camera angle for your needs.

I’ve not had to use any support so cannot comment but so far I have been impressed and it does all what I expect it to do and more.

Pretty good value for money too therefore I’m happy to recommend.

This security camera comes in a printed cardboard box and inside you’ll find the camera, mounting template, mounting plate, USB power cable, USB power adapter, quick start guide, and a wall fixing kit comprising of 3x wall plugs and screws.

The camera itself is made from plastic and the stand has a grey metallic finish with the camera having a glossy black finish. It looks absolutely beautiful for a camera and looks very modern. It runs on 5v USB (2 amps) and supports pan and tilt so you can move the camera around with the app, without having to touch the camera physically. On the rear it has a Micro-SD slot, USB port which is a Micro-B, A reset/WPS button, and an RJ45 LAN port. There are also the speaker holes on the rear of the dome camera for audio output. The microphone hole is on the front left of the camera dome.

Installation is simple as you only need to plug it into a USB power source and the camera will automatically turn on and do a quick calibration where it turns all the way around and back again. To setup the camera, you need to install the Imou Life app from the Playstore/App Store, and then add a new device from within the app by clicking the + button. The app will display a QR code which you must hold up in front of the camera for it to see it. Once it sees it, input your Wi-Fi ID and password if prompted and the app will make a noise which the camera picks up and confirms the configuration is complete.

This camera automatically connected to my 2.4ghz channel, so I didn’t have to faff about disabling channels like cheaper cameras, this connected straight away. The app offers a few features like Live view, take a screenshot and you can directly control the pan and tilt with a simple D-Pad style control via the app. An interesting option is the human motion tracking option. This allows the camera to move on its own and follow a human shape. I tried walking from one side of the room to the other and the camera did follow me which I was quite impressed with. I tried it a few times and it followed me each time, so it seems to work well apart from the one time it though my legs were more important, but I was trying different things while walking so maybe I confused it.

The video footage was crisp and clear during daylight hours and had a decent picture overall. The night vision mode worked well and gave me a crisp and clear picture in the dark. Bear in mind that this is an indoor camera so pointing out of your window at the street won’t give great results as the night vision distance is made for a room. The camera can alert you, with a message on your phone, if it detects movement which you can turn on or off. It’ll even alert you if it hears something too which again, you can turn on or off.

They do offer a cloud storage service and you get the chance to try it for free for 7 days. The cost of it is broken down into 3 plans and it determines for how long it saves your videos. The subscriptions are:
    * 3 days storage — Monthly (1.69) Yearly (16.99)
    * 7 days storage — Monthly (2.49) Yearly (24.99)

The proof is in the pudding they say. That is what this camera does. It proves you can get a good camera with good software and all for 80. Which I find is excellent value. The camera is packed with features.

4MP/ 2.5K Resolution. Great lenses give great picture. The lenses on this camera are pretty decent.
Smart Color Night Vision. Adding colour to night vision is a good bit of tech. It is actually really good.
360 Coverage. With the ability to control using your mobile. Excellent.
4MP glass optics delivers 2 times the clarity of 1080p,
High quality sensor and advanced IR lights enhance night vision up to 10m. Not the best length for night vision. But I am not fortunate enough to have a 10m room to sit in.
FOUR kinds of night vision mode for you to choose, you can easily switch it on the mobile app. 360

All of these features make up a really excellent product. Add the quality software in the mix and you are onto a winner. I love this camera. It is exactly what I need.

NOTE: There are a lot of 1 and 2 star reviews for people who dont seem to be able to read.
This is an INDOOR camera. So use it indoors, or don’t complain when you use it outdoors and it doesn’t do you a job.
NOTE: The software is good. But there are a couple of strange features that make it a bit weird. But generally it’s decent. It will interrupt you after 30 minutes for a refresh. 10 seconds of your life you won’t get back. But it is only a minor problem and nothing that concerns me like it seems to concern others.

This is a good camera. I use it to keep an eye on the kids when they’re playing in their room and for during the night when they’re asleep. The picture quality is okay. It was incredibly easy to set up and get working, I was done in no time. I was really hoping that the motion camera option actually worked as there were tonnes of reviews that said it didn’t work. Once I’d got it up and running and connected to the app I was able to operation the motion function. Great for keeping track of where the kids are as their room has a number of little alcoves. I like the black. Fits in with the style in my flat plus black is my favourite colour. The sound is also much better than I thought it would be. It’s just quite a bit expensive for a camera in my opinion.

This looks like a proper looking security camera which is a bit ‘imposing’ in your house, I think that I’d prefer one more ‘aesthetically pleasing’ as this gets noticed and commented on by visitors – no one has ever mentioned my ‘Ring’ camera. I got this to watch over my dog and it’s excellent for that. It would probably be best mounted in a top corner of a room if security was its purpose, that way it’ll have an unrestricted view and you’d get the full benefit of the pan and tilt functions – I have this on a bookcase which suits my needs.

Installation of the camera is relatively simple, it’s pretty much ‘plug and play’ – the Imou App downloaded okay and connectivity with the camera is good? This is a great camera, although the images are HD they certainly aren’t the best that I’ve see – however they’re good enough for home security or pet monitoring use. The night vision images are very good, please note that these will be black & white which is just about standard.

The camera takes a micro SD capture card which will record your images. If home security is the purpose then I would suggest that you subscribe to the Cloud storage, otherwise any burglar can either just remove the capture cardor just take the whole camera – then your evidence is gone. Very happy to recommend this camera.

I have been using this security camera for almost three weeks by now and so far I am very impressed with the quality of this security camera. It has 360 rotation and a two way audio system (speaker/microphone) so you can also communicate with the pet or children using this security camera. It does require to download an app and also require to register and add the device wia using the QR code on the bottom of this security camera, the whole process of registering, adding the device was quite very straightforward, just need to follow the steps.it also has motion sensor and will alarm if child is crying or the pet breaks any thing. The picture quality of this camera is very good and also has good night vision. This camera can be connected with the internet vie ethernet cable or the wifi (2.4 Ghz, will not accept 5G ).

I ordered this security camera so I can watch my Miniature Dachshunds when I am at work.

Arrived inside a small branded box, could wait to open looks a smart bit of technology.

What an amazing smart security camera, absolutely fully loaded with tech I can’t believe how good it works.

Very stylish globe that holds an IP camera that rotates 360 and connects to smart devices.

High definition camera in day and night picture is crystal clear, detects human presence and send alerts but won’t for a dog movement. Even sends alert to dangers such as smoke alarms, excessive barking or intruders as has smart sound detection built in.

Easy installation just plug in and play, can attach to ceiling or just sit on a fireplace to watch every movement in the room, when you return home there is a privacy button on APP which will hide lens. I have set up a Imou cloud account to store data, easy connection just scan QR code of camera.

Overall, exceptional smart security camera system with an easy to use comprehensive APP imou life skill. Great Value for money for 360 vision.

    I would recommend this product.

Works quite well, the motor is a tad noisy but it functions.

The motor noise is also recorded! Bit unfortunate.

Tested in the lounge, it picked us up quite well and tracked us as we make the tea,

No need for a subscription and the app on IoS worked well.

Will be used as a baby alarm.

This is a super upgrade to the camera I had in my living room. It outperforms my old one in every way and has so many extra features. First of all, before I discuss the technical abilities I was to say it looks so much nicer than the white one I had, it is a sleek design that doesn’t draw attention to itself.
Set up was easy, I used the app and followed the step-by-step directions. I use a BT Smarthub 2 so I had to go to the router settings and disable the 5ghz channel, once the camera was set up I turned it back on. I like that the power cable is nice and long (about 10 feet) , I was able to position it exactly where I wanted.
This camera does more than just allowing you to view the house, it is super intelligent. It has motion tracking, if a burglar was to enter it would recognise a human, alert me and track the person around the whole room. It has dog tracking which has to be my favourite thing, I love my dog dearly, he is my best friend, and I don’t like to leave him on his own, but sometimes I have no choice, the camera will track him, and I can log into my app and speak to him to reassure him if he is upset. The home safety features are genius, I don’t like going out and leaving my dryer on but now I feel safer in doing so knowing that I will receive a notification if my smoke alarm goes off. If the camera detects and intruder you can set it to sound a loud siren and flash the spotlight.
The app is easy to use, you can move the camera around, it pans and tilts, and zoom is superb, the image clarity is amazing. I can also view on my Alexa show. First security camera I have had that does not lag when being viewed.
This really is a fully featured high quality security camera and I like it a lot.

Setup was really simple, camera is equipped with built-in anti-noise mic & speaker, you can communicate clearly and instantly with your family and pets no matter when and where. It can record videos on an micro-SD card with max 256GB (card is not included). Compatible with 2.4GHz WiFi network works with Alexa and Google Home, you can watch the real-time video directly on Echo Show.
Overall impressed with the quality, would order again.

This is my first real 360 degrees HD camera which is easy to install and the app IMOU LIFE is very quick to sync with the mobile phone.

I have placed it inside my main entrance door where the motion detection option is ideal to keep an eye on the visitor and also ensure the kids do not leave the house.

I found the night vision to be exceptional and the live streaming is very clear and pure HD which on zooming in still remain clear. The camera has a built-in mic and speaker which is great for a two-way communication. In addition, it has a light and can also play a Siren although it’s not very loud but sufficient to get someone’s attention.

You need to connect it with the main power socket as it doesn’t have a rechargeable battery which I believe will be a great addition and will definitely make it one of the best cameras in the market.

Overall the 360-degree coverage with very HD quality video makes this camera way above its competition.

    A pure HD 360 camera

This is a great camera for security as well as looking at what the dogs are up to when we are out!
It was easy to set up and download the app and we had it working straight away. The picture is really clear and the night picture is good too. We have used these cameras before and they are much the same as each other with a slot for a Micro SD card.
The actual look of the camera is better than some I have tried as I like the dark instead of a white camera.
You can turn the camera round from the app which is handy when you want to see what is going on outside the window and what is happening with the dogs inside.
    Highly recommended.

I have another camera by a different manufacturer and wanted to test this one as a comparison.

From what I understand 2 GHz gives a stronger signal for further distances, whereas 5 GHz gives a stronger signal for closer distances. It’s beyond me why this camera is limited to just the 2 GHz, why can’t it switch between whatever GHz is available depending on its location?

I managed router settings to enable both 2 & 5 networks, and was able to set up the camera. I was surprised by the quality of the image. Both night and day images are pretty good it must be said.

Additionally, your voice is loud and clear when speaking through the camera.

I liked the additional settings such as the ability to share the camera with others. This is perfect so my wife and I can both access it. The other camera I have is limited to one device only, so can’t do this. There’s also a feature where you can sound an alarm which could be useful for intruders.

Setting up the camera was also relatively easy.

In summary a great camera for the money, 4/5 stars. The reason why I took a star off is due to the signal dropping. There have been times where I have been in conversation with my family and the signal drops rendering our conversation inaudible. It’s frankly quite annoying and common.

Let me know if this review was helpful for you, thank you for reading it.

    Not bad at all

This smart-looking security camera comes boxed with wall/ceiling mounting accessories, a power plug and micro-USB cable. It all looks very well made. There’s no rechargeable battery, so it needs to be powered via USB. The included USB cable is a very good length but it’s a standard cable so you can swap it out for a longer one if you need it. Unlike some cameras, this one has an ethernet port so you can have a wired connection instead of just relying on wi-fi, which is a great feature. There’s a slot in the back for a micro-SD card – the camera apparently supports them up to 256GB but I’m using a 128GB one.

I set the camera up in my living room. It wasn’t too tricky to install. Once I connected the power the camera stayed in pairing mode and didn’t need to be reset. I downloaded the Imou app, selected to add the device (Rex 4MP) and followed the instructions to connect it to my wireless network. The hardest part was entering the serial number and security code – these are on the base of the camera but the font is so small I had to take a picture and blow it up on my phone.

Once you have the camera added to the app, you can access the live stream and customisation options. Connecting to the live stream can often be a bit glitchy, with freezes and disconnections. For me it worked far better wired than via the wi-fi connection. Once connected you can pan the camera all the way around, and also upwards (or down, if you have it on the ceiling). Panning is jerky and mechanical but the picture is sharp and clear. The camera is pretty good in low light, which is just as well because night vision doesn’t come on until it’s really dark but works fine once it does. I couldn’t see a way of switching it on permanently, the app just lets me switch between ‘auto’ and ‘disabled’.

Otherwise there’s a very good set of settings in the app. These include private mode, detection sensitivity, tracking and on/off times, notifications, a spotlight and siren. This is loud but not ear-piercingly so. There’s a grid overlay which lets you set active zones and dead zones. You can speak through the camera or set it to only detect humans. You can have actions set for when you are home, arriving or away. It’s all far more customisable than with other camera apps I have used, and you can have a direct link to the camera on your home screen too.

And then there are recording and storage settings. If you don’t have a micro-SD card you can still watch the live feed or subscribe to cloud storage. I do find the live stream connection glitchy and unresponsive sometimes but that’s partly down to the wi-fi I’m sure. It’s better in some locations than in others, so that’s why having a wired connection works better.

Overall I’m very pleased with this camera and the Imou app. They work well enough and capture clear sharp images. I’m currently using the camera mainly to see what my cat gets up to at night but it also works great as a security camera.

    Decent security camera

This camera is ceiling mounted. Best placed in the corner of the room it would easily be able to see the entire thing with its pan/tilt function.

It has two way sound and connecting to it is quite straight forwards. Firstly you have to download the Imou life app and connect the camera to power and your network via an Ethernet cable: after this point you will open the app, register and once complete you will be prompted to add the device. This can either be done manually or by scanning the QR code on the bottom of the camera itself.
Once you have added it you can then tap on the camera to open it and it will be functioning at this point.

When the camera is opened up you will have a settings option up there, go through these settings and change the things you would like to change. Within this section you will see “WLAN” go into this section, select your wifi network and enter your wireless pass key. Press connect and then wait a couple of seconds. Go out of WLAN section and then back in after a few seconds. This time you should see your current network at the top, on its own. This means it is connected via wifi and the Ethernet cable can now be unplugged. At this point the settings are saved and you are free to move the camera to its install location and begin installing it using the mounting template, bracket and the included screws/wall plugs.

It’s an amazing little camera, the image quality isn’t the best in the world but it is high definition and provides plenty of detail in video, not something to complain about as it’s still better than 99% of cctv images I’ve seen in the past. The night vision is high quality, it does take it a few seconds to switch over but it will do it automatically when there isn’t enough light available.

Absolutely brill little camera. 100% recommended.

Picture quality is great, pan and tilt facility is really good. Smart tracking is good but I ended turning off due to the sound of the camera moving creeped out my kids!! I use it with a micro SD card so I can’t comment on the cloud option but the card works fine for me. The app set up is really easy too. Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI purchased this to replace another Imou indoor security cam that we have instead moved to watch the porch. The added benefit with this one is the range of movement which it has through the panning and tilting which can be controlled via the app.

The picture quality on the camera is excellent. At night it is very clear. Setting up notifications via the app is a doddle and they arrive timely. Two-way audio is clear so I can communicate to the kids through it to tell them to stop watching TV and do their homework! I also like that it has a privacy mode which shuts away the camera lens completely. We now have very good security from the inside of our house as well as the outside – great for our peace of mind.

Pretty decent camera, tracking could be better as it doesn’t always follow the moving subject, you can also hear the motor when you play back the video when it tracks which i’m sure could be designed to be quiet. All in all a pretty good camera for the price, night vision is clear but if you haveoitzide lighting, the picture is better with night vision off. Video quality is very good. I paid under 70 pound which isn’t bad considering most camera don’t have this function at that kind of price.

For the asking price this is an excellent camera. Setting it up with the “Imou Life” app was absolutely straightforward and worked first time, but do note that it will only work on a 2.4GHz WiFi network (which is common for this type of camera).

The app is tidy, works well and is well thought-out. It connects fairly quickly to the camera and displays a bright, clear image with minimal lag between anything moving in front of the camera and seeing it on the phone.

When it starts up the pan/tilt motors spin it round to calibrate their positions, which makes a bit of a grinding sound (at least on mine), but I don’t think it’s a problem. They are also audible when moving the camera around remotely, but not loud by any means.

It offers the choice of local or remote storage so you don’t have to pay for a cloud subscription if you don’t want to, although this does mean that if anything happened to the camera you would also lose the evidence.

For 59.99 I think this is very good camera with great functionality.

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersThe Ranger Pro is a good looking CCTV camera in my opinion, the sleek shiny black orb and green led base is very futuristic. The night vision is very clear and the app is well design with easy user experience in mind.

Thee auto tracking is one of the best I have tested, even when I am out of range/view it will pick up again when I return into view, this is really important as you do not want to loose any footage due to camera pointing at the wrong area as a result of the auto tracking error.

It comes with a long USB power cable so you can mount it any surface or mount it on the celling with the included bracket. The two way audio speaker and mic is excellent, speaking through the camera is adequate for simple conversation.

The privacy button is a nice touch for anyone who sometime need to be out of view, just press the button and it will tilt down and cover up the lens so no footage will be shown.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersFirst Impressions

The packaging is well presented and nicely designed. When opening the box you’re find that the camera is very well protected, so you will not have to worry about it betting damaged in transport.

    What’s Inside

Included in the box is the Camera itself, Generous 3 Metre MicroUSB Cable, USB Power Adapter, Mounting Hardware including Bracket and screws, and Quick Start Guide. Again all nicely packaged.

    Setting Up

Using the included Quick Start Guide you will have no problems setting you camera up and running. Download the IMOU app (In my case I was using their Android version) & sign up to their app. Connect the USB adapter to the generous 3 Metre cable and the cable to the camera. Let the camera boot up, It’ll whirl around a couple of times to calibrate itself then stop. You should see a Green flashing LED under the sphere. Now goto your app and add the Camera, Tap the Orange Plus Icon in the top right. There is a nice way to add the camera you can scan the QR code on the bottom of the camera (NOTE: Each camera on each phone is slightly different, focus, zoom, light, etc so you will need to find the sweet spot when trying to scan the QR code. It will work, Don’t let anyone say it doesn’t work. Like I said the APP works fine the factors will be down to your phones camera and the environment you are scanning in)
Also NOTE this camera is to be setup using a 2.4 Ghz WIFI Network NOT 5Ghz. This should not be a problem for most. I have 5 IMOU cameras now, inside and outside and they are ALL running fine on 2.4 WIFI. Next make sure your phones speaker is turned up cause as part of the setup the APP with emit a sound for the camera to listen to and finish the configuration (Clever!)
Once the camera is added to the APP then there is a chance the camera will require a Firmware Update, DO THIS. This makes sure that the camera is working to the most up to date software with and enhancements and any changes. This will take a couple of minutes and will reboot after its done. NOTE also this camera can be connected to an ethernet cable for extra stability and security.

    The APP

Open the APP and tap the Play button on the camera you just setup. This APP is the BEST I have used for any Camera. The APP will show very simple quick buttons below the image. Snapshot, Speak, Record and Plat (Not sure whys its called Plat) Also directly under the image are smaller buttons pause, multiple cam screen, HD/SD Quality, Mute/Unmute Sound and Fullscreen. Most of these buttons are self explanatory. Basically you can Speak to someone through the camera, Hear anyone through the camera which is very handy. Also is you didn’t realise already the camera MOVES using the PLAT button. Lovely and smooth and relatively quiet. This APP/Camera has a great feature, Once your in the PLAT screen you will see 2 more options and the bottom of the screen Panorama and Favs. Panorama scans the area and gives to one pictures when its done, you can then tap any part of that picture and the camera will move straight to the area. The Fav (Star Button) Allows you to save your own areas and name them, So if you have 2 doors in the room you can save one fav spot for one door and another fav spot for the other door. You can now click one of the saved buttons and the camera will move to that saved locations, saving you from having the move the camera yourself each time, GREAT!!

    Saving Clips, Image Quality

There are a few ways you can save you video clips (and this can include sound) Once is the IMOU cloud which is a paid subscription. Or buy a MicroSD card and insert this directly into the camera, this allows for constant recording. I have 128GB MicroSD card and this records continually for 13 days. Also the Ranger Pro can be connected to a compatible NVR, this would be the best option as you can increase the storage size quite a lot and have all your IMOU camera uploading to the same NVR. This is something I am looking to buy, And I believe IMOU offer this product also.
Image Quality is a GREAT 1080P As you can imagine this camera also has night vision, And as its an indoor camera you will not have any issues with night vision range unless you live in a mansion, if so, just buy more IMOU products 🙂

    Conclusion

I already loved IMOUs cameras, I have 2 LOOCs, 1 Cue2C, 1 Ranger2 and now this Ranger Pro. This Ranger Pro is a lovely looking, well made camera, Very Easy to setup. Image Quality is great, Lots of features. Each of the IMOU range offers slightly different things for different scenarios, So you will not be lost for choice. This Ranger Pro takes the features of the already good Ranger 2 and makes it better. Do not hesitate in buying these IMOU cameras, but please note like any other cameras on the market environment plays a factor especially with WIFI. If your WIFI is not great then that needs to be addressed before buying any WIFI camera product. ALSO TO NOTE IMOU do offer cameras that have ethernet ports, so that should be another reason to go IMOU. The IMOU APP UI is very nice, clear and easy to use and has no bugs that I can see.

Check out their well designed website for their products and just buy one. Like a said I own 4 different models and recommend ALL of them, Especially this RANGER PRO.

Just buy this Camera, Or any other IMOU product for that matte

    Imou Ranger Pro
I have been using the Imou Ranger2 Indoor security Camera for a while and have been very happy with it, so when I needed another indoor camera I went straight to Imou. I was delighted to find that there was a new version called the Imou Ranger Pro which I have now purchased through Amazon.
It was very easy to set up and linked to my existing Imou Life App seamlessly. The new ball shape looks very modern and fits well either on a flat surface, where I have it, or mounted on a wall. I am running both cameras on my WiFi network and the connection is very solid.
The quality of the image during the day and even at night is excellent and I have found the zoom feature very useful, to get a close up of the many birds visiting my garden.
The Smart Tracking and Two-way Talk (which we use as an intercom around the house) features are excellent and the Privacy Mask is a very thoughtful addition.

If you are looking for an Indoor Security camera, look no further than Imou.

I have been using the Imou C22 for a few years now and despite having a house full of IP Cameras, The IMOU system has been the easiest to use and most reliable, so when I got the chance to try this camera I was excited to see what it adds.

I was looking for a camera that had a pan tilt zoom function to keep an eye on the dog when we were out. The other camera I have distorts at the edges so can’t cover the whole room.

The camera is easy to install and I don’t have to pay for a cloud subscription. I can store everything locally on a micro SD card plus I can also stream it to a network server if I wanted to. I have mine streaming to my Qnap NAS so I always have a backup of the footage, this uses an RTSP stream.

The setup is very easy, just create an account, add a new device and scan the QR code on the bottom. I didn’t have to hold the phone close, it just picks up the device, asks me to confirm the Wi-fi password (unless I plugged into the Ethernet) and the phone will play a sound to the camera to transfer the details. It’s the easiest setup i have done.

The device is powered by usb and comes with a long maybe 2m cable, although I may buy a longer micro usb cable. I just wish it supported POE like more expensive cameras so i didn’t need a power cable too. It stands on a surface or can use the wall mounting bracket with included screws.

As of writing this review the AI detection still says coming soon, so hopefully it won’t be long but the description should have been clearer that it’s not available yet. All the other features like night vision and auto tracking work really well. I’m impressed with the auto track which means when someone or something passes the camera it will automatically follow them until it stops detecting motion then it returns to its last location. This is perfect for keeping track of pets or intruders.

The app lets me watch live from anywhere and also watch motion recordings from anywhere too. It’s easy to use and in the past few years has worked well for me. I get push notifications according to my preferences, it can tell me when there is motion at specific times, or just let me know if my Wi-fi is down or there is an update.

Overall I like this camera a lot because it gives me the freedom to choose between micro SD, NVR or cloud storage, or all at the same time. Most cameras don’t give this flexibility. The camera has also worked well over Wi-fi without issues and gives a great picture quality and night vision. The only thing it’s missing is POE and a metal fixing bracket, as the plastic one could be pulled down quite easily by thieves if they found it. Still highly recommend though as it just works!

A great PTZ camera that doesn’t need a cloud subscriptio

Extremely clear image and easy to set up in the App. I have no qualms in recommending this piece of kit if you are looking for an indoor security camera. I also have two outdoor IMOU Looc cameras which work very well with the App giving very good video images which can be viewed on your PC as well.

This is a smart, futuristic looking IP dome camera, with the standard features as seen on most similar such models.

Included in the box is 1 x dome camera, 1 x USB lead to connect to the mains, 1 x mounting bracket to fix the camera to wall/ceiling, 1 x user manual.

Set up and operation is as follows:

DOWNLOAD THE App called Imou, either from the Play Store or by scanning the QR code in the user manual.

CONNECTION AND SET UP. Connect the camera to your device (phone/tablet) by following the instructions on the App. A word of caution, when setting your location (country) ensure it’s the right option as the on screen App instructions state that ‘once set, it cannot be changed’. A warning which I heeded.

Next, set up a username & password, if using for the first time. A verification code is sent to your email, then enter the code and all should be set up.

The initial screen shows a + at the top right to add a new device. Two options are available: 1) scan the QR code on the underside of the camera or 2) add manually. I added the camera using the QR code without any problem.

Next instruction is to plug in the camera to the mains and wait for the green light on it to flash. In the App, add your WiFi password, then confirm in the App that the camera green light is still flashing.

Finally, the camera should now be connected and controlled by the App. If it fails to connect, close the App then repeat the process. Connection failed the first time I tried, but closing, reopening, rescanning the camera to add it the App allowed it to connect OK.

MENU CONTROLS are fairly standard for IP cameras, a few are noteworthy, either good or otherwise:

GOOD are the ability to turn the camera IR light off (to prevent window glare when using indoors pointing outside), motion and sound detection to send alerts to your device, ability to turn device indicator lights off (to make the camera less intrusive).

NOT SO GOOD is the lack of colour/brightness/contrast control, which can be useful in some lighting conditions. Generally though the camera compensates for variations in lighting conditions well.

Picture quality is HD 1060 and the lens gives a decent wideangle view, with a 355 degrees pan (side to side) and a 90 degree tilt (up and down).

Overall a smart looking camera which has a good specification and performs well.

This was easy to install and works with my Alexa, after mounting and fitting an ethernet cable to hook it up to my network it’s been a great camera the 360-degree view and motion tracking is perfect for monitoring everything and the doom is darkened so it doesn’t stand out too much, you can record to sd card, local storage or the cloud which is handy, I’m very happy with it and happy to recommend it.

Definitely worth every cent! To start with, it’s very easy to set up, and also move around if I want to. I also like the fact that I can get real-time notifications on my mobile devices.

Exactly what I was looking for. Very clear picture (day and night) and very simple to set up. QR code is small, but holding your phone further away (counter intuitive!) and it scans easily. So pleased with it that we’ve bought another 2
