This is my 1st time purchase of solar security camera, Easy to install , I had just one issue come after 11 month that cable from panel is broke from solar panel due to the storm and wind , I did contact the seller but there is no response.
It is one of the best outdoor camera I ever had looks great night vision beautiful motion sensor works good can’t complain. It works really great.
We purchased the stationary canera option with solar panel. At first we tested the camera and potential wifi ranges at different places around the yard without the solar panel plugged in using a clamp to hold it in place.
Once the battery power dropped to below half, we decided to test it with the solar panel plugged in at the chicken coop which is around 120ft from the router.
The battery charged up within a day without any issues.
The quality if the image exceeded my expectations for the price range. Although the image pixalate when zoomed in, at normal focus it is more than enough to identify any person .. . .or chicken walking by.
The field of view is not as great at night but still enough to be able to identify the skunk living under our coop.
Logging in remotely was a breeze allowing you to view whatever is going on at home during your absence.
After reviewing the help video, I installed the app on my wife’s phone as well and shared the camera with her without any issues.
We have ordered the tilt camera with solar panel last week and are waiting for its arrival to see hiw it will compare to the stationary one.
I wanted to get a wifi security camera for our house we are in a semi-rural location and there is not too much in the way of street lighting, and although it is also a quite location, it is better to be safe than sorry.
I couldn’t get it to work at first, but then found out that my router was set to 5GHz fortunately it can be set to both 2.4 and 5 simultaneously, so problem solved.
Finding a sunny enough location, where it is also a visible deterrent was my next task easy enough, and when installed and tested, it works as it should. Night vision is OK, but perhaps a little grainy.
Good build quality and it looks the part.
It’s been a month, and it’s already not working. Not sure what the problem is. I bought it for the solar aspect. Now my camera won’t connect, so I have to go back on the roof/ ceiling and unscrew the camera and start over. I live in Florida an put the solar panel on the south side which happens to be the side with the least amount of sun. Although in Florida it’s hardly a problem, so I’ll be moving it. If you you buy this, make sure you get a MICRO SD card. A regular SD card will not fit. The night vision is nearly non existent. The motion sensor works great but the picture has a few seconds delay. The audio is not good. I can hear but no understand what is being says. I May updated this later, if I can get it running again.
Update*** I did the thing and went back up to the top of the house, reset the wifi connection, and adjusted the solar panel to face north. In addition, I lowered the motion sensor sensitivity. It was set on high which was causing the camera to record constantly, thus draining the battery. So far my battery life has improved drastically. Also, I found a feature on the app, that allows designation of areas for motion detection. I also moved the camera for a wider perspective. Lastly, I have the Christmas lights on and it’s a full moon, so the night vision is currently improved. I am possibly update later. So far things are improving.
Great quality, easy to fit and connect to the app, love the wireless and battery/solar powered feature, only just started using it, will see how the solar charging power and efficiency goes. The mention detection is good, coverage is good, picture quality and night vision are good too. The app is easy to use to control the camera. Very pleased with the purchase
Once figured out it’s not a bad item. Straight out of the box it connected flawlessly with Wifi network, checked location that it was going to be sited and it signalled that this location was fine. Charged from 240v supply prior to fitting, after a week, charging on solar (Late October), it was down to 62% – I suspect I’ll have to plug it into a powerbank to re-charge fully a couple of times a month during winter.
The hardest thing was figuring out why it wasn’t recording ANYTHING – Once I’d gone into ‘Alarm management’ and clicked on ‘Alarm area’ and figured out that the orange shaded areas were where it WAS going to record and not like my ones at front of house where the shaded area is where it DOESN’T record it was fine. Pic above shows the shaded orange areas where the camera WILL pick up motion & record. Hope this helps someone.
My camera stopped working after a few weeks and I contacted the seller.
They sent me out a replacement with no argument.
Very helpful customer service.
I like everything about this product the alarm (really loud siren), communication between house and garden is clear, notifications to mobile when motion sensor is triggered!
Picture quality excellent, will install another light to improve lack of light for night vision. Will buy another.
The picture quality was very good, even at night. I use the camera for my car in the driveway and at the moment it is doing the job. I’m not sure yet as to its solar charging but so far so good. I’m very pleased with the product.
I already had the Cloudedge app installed for my iegeek cameras and adding these cameras alongside my existing ones was very easy.. Out the box, power up, press reset button, + device on the app/phone, point the camera at the displayed qr code on the phone,then next for scan.. Cameras now working alongside my iegeek cameras.Once added you have the option to rename camera set location etc via the app. . Don’t forget to install a micro sd.. Job done.. 🙂
