Looks the part but that’s where it stops
Installed no problems, very easy. A week after purchase, stopped working. Followed instructions, rebooting, reset buttons, remotely and physically turning off and on again, uninstalled app and reinstalled. Only thing that worked was deleting camera from the app, and adding again when it was placed next to the router. Camera was only 15ft away anyway. But moving it next to the router showed it to be added again and work.
Same problem repeats after 2 or 3 days.
Customer service is lacking. They email you bog standard resolutions which I had already tried, they do cigar up your reports, but, their email just bounces back from the server in Chinese. I think it’s about they email they use not taking return emails! So how do you answer them?!
Started a return and refund, give up now.
Excellent product which was very easy to install and connect up. It provides connections to my phone and tablet with minimal fuss.
So we put 2 of these cameras up on the house today (front and back gardens) and tested absolutely everything. We had a little bit of difficulty at first with the signal to the WiFi but they were connected 2 weeks ago but only put up today so just needed reconnecting. Once they were up they worked an absolute treat! Everything was tested on them and there are no complaints. The motion detector was tested at night as well as day time and worked perfectly. The night time quality is very good (obviously the day too) but would be better if it was 4k but it’s 1080p so it’s not terrible at all, just not 4k. It’s still very very good. Money very well spent. Time will tell how long they last but very happy with my purchase and certainly would buy again. A budget price but by no means a budget camera.
Quality is ok for this price. Night vision is very good and the ability to steer it around is the great thing.

Pretty easy to set up and good picture quality- I needed to make sure it was near to our router.
I waited to see if I had any problems to make a review. First of all it was simple to set up, both hardware and software. It has all the features the costly cameras have, Set position, alarm, and Mic etc. The weather has not impacted the camera, Heat and Rain
The Picture Quality is Good Night and Day
I use it to keep an eye on my Dog and use the Voice Control So very happy with my Purchase (to the annoyance of my Dog)
I find this camera to be robust and great value for money.
I had a slight issue with an dud SD card of mine which I wanted to install in the camera. I contacted Judy on the support team. She was very responsive and we had the issue sorted very quickly.

Purchased for out the front of the house for a little added security, works wonders and the app is great for viewing the live stream while out and about, looking at purchasing more to utilise at the rear of the house and possibly some indoors. really easy to set up including a drill template to make fitting so much easier.

Power lead is very short and is hardwired into the camera. I’m now looking for an extension lead, which they don’t sell.

The camera is cheap plastic but I’m sure it will be rain safe for a year or two.
Picture quality is nothing like advertised. Even with a fast wi-fi it’s so so.
To mount this to a wall is not easy. You can get access to the top two screws but the bottom two are much harder to get to. The camera simply gets in the way. You can do it but only by hand and only with a long Philips screwdriver.
On an apple tablet or phone (iOS) it will only work in portrait mode. Try turning it to landscape and it will swivel every which way but the way you want. I contacted Wansview to be told, “we have compatibility issues with our cameras”.
So take note, you can only see the screen in portrait mode, which isn’t a lot.
We was going to return it but decided to keep it to keep an eye on the new puppy whilst asleep in her crate.
For what is and the poor features and camera picture quality it’s worth a bout 20 quid.
I will spend a little more on an outside one.

Previous had wane outside camera for many years,update to this model and it surpassed all my expectations.
I was unsure what camera to by as theres lots put there and mixed reviews. I can honestly say I’m impressed and loving wansveiw cameras, the network stability is great and setting within the app is great and easy to set up and modify. The sound quality is good and the two way intercom works well. I’m currently on holiday abroad and still can keep an eye on the house easily.
Had the camera for a few days now. It’s a great piece of kit and so easy to install and set up.
Its ok for security of garden nd stuff but when zooming in it gets very pixelated for example you cant make out car number plates and the mic is very quiet you can hear people talking but cant hear what theyre saying and they have to be really close to the mic to hear them.
I have had 3 Wansview cameras before and have always been pleased with them so didn’t hesitate to buy Wansview again and went for the W9. The picture quality is excellent and with app to control the pan and tilt function makes it even better. So much so I have just ordered 2 more W9 to replace my others. The app is very easy to use and gives total control of the cameras and recordings. Also found the new camera with the siren function very good. Wansview cameras an excellent choice if your looking for an outdoor camera.
Amazingly simple to install. Clear, crisp HD pictures back to your phone. One advantage I found was that a tree branch was blowing in the wind and you can vector out that area of the camera view in the app. 100% Worth it!

I have had Swann cameras which have been slow to respond to motion and generally unreliable. This camera was easy to install and is superior in every way. The motion detection starts recording instantly and sends a notification immediately. The picture quality is very good for both daylight and night vision operation. It is worth mentioning that this camera is half the price of the Swann camera and twice the camera. I heartily recommend it.
Excellent camera, set up in about 5 minutes. Picture quality is very good,night vision good.
Initial setup of the camera okay – I found it easiest to just plug a Cat5 cable in to do this. Once set up, the only problems were logistical – getting power and wi-fi through a two foot stone wall. I’d thoroughly recommend the VONETS VAP11S Industrial High Power 2.4GHz WiFi Bridge/Repeater/Mini Router/ Ethernet to WiFi Adapter to solve the wi-fi issue. Once up, the camera works fine – picture quality in daylight and IR is good. You can tweak sensitivity and scan zone to suit your requirements and the app is fine once you get the hang of it. Alerts show you a few seconds of video so that you can judge if they are worth more attention. Images save well to an SD card – 32Gb is more than adequate and it can be set to overwrite the oldest alerts once full. By default the LEDs in the camera emit a low red glow at night which suits us well as we primarily see this unit as a deterrent. Alerts so far are only triggered by pigeons, insects and rain so (which is fine by us). Weather proofing was an important factor for us as we live on the West Pennine Moors so exposed to lots of rain, but there have been no condensation in the camera or electrical issues.
Customer support has been good – Becky has been very proactive in checking that everything is working for us. Would recommend 🙂
This is another great competitively priced camera from Wansview and I’m using it for external security. I haven’t joined up to Wansview’s cloud service yet, as I find the insertable SD memory card meets my needs OK. Sound quality is acceptable. Image is fine in daylight and at night and the pan/tilt mechanism works well, if a little jerky. (There is a slight delay between moving the cursor on my iphone and seeing the resultant action, so I have to avoid the temptation to keep on tabbing the cursor!) A great thing about Wansview’s later cameras, including this one, is that they re-start automatically following a power failure – not a common occurrence but annoying on the rare occasion we have one.

Excellent camera, easy to set up only downside is that although it links to the Alexa app easily it does not show images, gives message liveview not supported. Not sure it’s the camera itself or the Wansview Cloud app.
Only problems is you have to have 2G enternet for it to work

I bought one of these camera’s to enable me to watch our back gate and house doors, i’m not very good when it comes to installing apps on phones and setting up cameras and the like, but i had this camera up and running in less than 15 minutes and it works perfectly.
After viewing the camera for around 10 days i was that impressed with it’s performance that purchased another one for the front of the house and also one from the same company for the inside of the house.
All 3 work perfectly and i’ve installed SD cards in both outside cameras, I’m not sure about paying a subscription i will see how things go over the next few weeks, but i would certainly recommend them to anyone wanting a wee bit added security to their property.

Excellent piece of kit, so good I have two. The range of can pick up is phenominal. I have always had cameras due to violence to me in the past now have PTSD this gives me the freedom to be safe round the clock. And also great for keeping an eye on my drum studio which I built in back garden highly recommend easy to fit and almost immediately get help same day if not ear!y next. Just an email away awesome.
much bigger than I expected so a bit more obvious than i wanted, I linked with my wi-fi fine and it can ne be controlled for the app. It has a usb plug so needed a bigger hole than I expected.
I was dubious about this only because of the price, which I thought was low for what it said it could do. It is straight forward and works well with my Alexa show.
Only thing you have to make sure is your Modem is producing a 2 ghz frequency, most do 5 as standard so if you know how to go into setting to produce the frequency straight forward, easier than it sounds or ring your broadband provider they’d explain how to do it. Also the password only seemed to work when I had the ethernet connected at the back, but once this was disconnected worked fine without a hitch. These sound complicated but they really are not and the camera works really well very surprised. Will be purchasing another for the front of the house. Had to but a usb extender though as 3mtrs was not long enough, this cost about 5.99 on Amazon for extra 5mtrs
Bought this camera and am quite impressed with the ease of use and setup. Comes with a USB wire (plug included) which is around 2 metres long.
Set up was easy and straightforward, mostly done through the Wansview app which is easy enough to use too. The easiest way is to generate a QR code on your app and then scan it using the camera itself, which was a bit tricky but great once it was done.
Quality of the picture is great. Overall, very happy!
Loads of great features for a small price night vision is clear the ability to move the camera talk, listen and set of an alarm remotely for the price is fantastic. The one down side is the reaction time for alerts just a fraction slow but all in all well worth the money and highly recommend.

I was so impressed with his camera I decided to buy another camera from my back garden they give brilliant coverage awesome pictures even in the pitch black I would highly recommend these cameras. The customer service team are also very very helpful and can resolve most problems I had an issue with the cameras going off-line on my phone but saying online on my PC after speaking with customer services they informed me that their engineer team had produced a new app I was told to delete app on phone and reinstall the new app and this Cured the problem

The camera is very reliable. Connectivity to wifi is instant. Configuration of the phone app is easy to navigate. The inbuild mic and louder speaker is top notch.

It was easy to install, I put it on my garage which is thirty meters from my house and I worried I wouldn’t get a network connection but it worked just fine the only down side is moths and spiders setting it off but that’s not a problem with the camera

I bought 4 of these cameras to replace some old units.
Set was pretty straight forward, but these cameras need constant attention. At least once a day they need to be either re-started, the router restarted or they need to be re-set. Very disappointing. Not what I would have expected from a security device.
I have contacted Celia at Wansview repeatedly and although she tries to help, I have yet to receive a proper resolution. I would definitely not recommend these cameras, the four I have bought have been taken down, thrown in the bin and replaced with another companies product 🙁
Easy setup, but first camera developed a fault after a few days. No worries, contacted service through the App. and within days a new camera was there. Working a treat without issue. Fantastic service.
Fantastic video quality. Had an issue with recording to the SD Card but that was due to the firmware needing an update.
Contacted customer service on 2 occasions and had a fast response both times.
Cloud is a little expensive but other than that, would highly recommend

It can be set up to move on own when movement is picked up and will track that movement all in all an good price of kit and thinking of buying more

The camera set up was simple just don’t assume your phone scans the QR code as with other set ups .
It has very good range and I have awkward set up with obstacles that might interfere . .

Wow! After trying many different cameras I finally found a great one. This Wansview W9 outdoor camera has everything I could ever need. I have one inside and one outside my barn to watch the horses. The night vision is amazing. They are super easy to set up and operate. On top of all that the customer service is fast responding and couldn’t be more helpful! I tell everyone about these cameras as I’m so impressed. It’s the icing on the cake that they’re such a good price. I’m going to buy more to replace the security system at our house now.
This camera replaced one that was twice the price and gives the same performance.
I’m a repeat customer for Wansview products and each generation seems to get a little better. Very good picture and simple to install. My only criticism of this and other Wansview products is that the motion detection is too sensitive, even on its lowest setting. Other than that it’s very good and remarkable value for money.
GOOD: Perfect rotation 360, high image quality and sound, you can check if someone is there even talk with them o just listen what they are talking 🙂 its like to be a gossip fly on the wall

OK originally I was giving this a 3* rating. Camera is solid and well built. Sound is excellent and picture quality, both day and night is really clearconnecting it to the Wifi wasn’t too bad either for a non expert.. that was 5* so far. Then the glitchesFixing was OK but the length of the lead is way too short..I wonder how many houses have a supply socket within 2m or 6ft from where the camera is fixed? We had to buy a USB extension for it to reach the nearest plug socket. And the sales info shows a delivery man on 2 way chatI get thatnice and loud and clear I tried it out before we installed it. Then I was having no audible alert or message to say the sensor has been triggered and the whole point of me wanting it was to see instantly what was happening outside. I could only get to see anything if I go into the App and look into the Alert screen. And yes it is annoying when you play back it only lasts 5 seconds before it stops and says about seeing more if you subscribe to Cloud SD card on its way. I would have appreciated a more in depth Q&A section of the booklet or even in the App I have phoned Amazon Customer Service who offered a refund but this has been installed high up on the front of the house lead and extension fixed all through the attic space such a pain if I now have to get someone back to disconnect it all because there’s a fault. I’m hoping the message I’ve sent to the supplier will clear up whether I have a faulty camera or not will Update if this is solved UPDATE: The response from the supplier has been very good however, my son, who is more tech savvy has sorted it powering the unit down to fit it had messed up the App he rebooted that and I’m now having audible notifications although they are about 10 secs after the trigger. We have adjusted the sensitivity level as it really is very sensitive and triggering the sensor way too often even a spider near the camera lens! The SD Card makes so much difference so frustrating watching something back and it stopping after 6 seconds ‘ inviting’ you to take out Cloud subscription to watch more and I had no issue buying a standard micro SD Card and it working fine so other than the very short power supply need I am now very happy with this

I’ve used Wansview before and have been happy with their little cameras. This one is an upgrade as it tilts and turns from the app, which is great. Installation on the app itself is easy and worked first time. Although the camera is only 1MP, it offers good quality picture, especially if your internet is not the fastest. Overall, happy with the purchase and can certainly recommend!
Great camera, arrived quickly. Easy to fix up with template supplied. has a 3 mtr power lead, long enough for me (if needed you could buy a usb extender cable). Easy to set up (took about 3 minutes), works with the same Wandview app for the other camera I have of theirs. would recommend. 🙂

Very easy to install and use. Quality is excellent. Works well with sd card and cloud (which we used after 2nd camera – now have 3!)
I had a query and after sales, via app, was quick, helpful and friendly.
The camera was easy to configure on the WiFi, there is also an ethernet option but I didn’t wish to install cabling to the outside where I would mount the camera.
Colour balance and picture quality very good, in day time and night time. The camera has tilt and pan functionality which means the visibility of the surrounding area is great – i particularly like this feature as my current camera (a ReoLink Argus 2) is static and so sometimes you can’t pickup what’s going on clearly.
I haven’t yet needed to use the camera sharing option – but this seems like helpful functionality that works like the Ring doorbell sharing. For saving the recordings, you can subscribe to the cloud, or you can save to an SD card – I used the memory card option as I didn’t want to be tied into a subscription service. The recordings can then simply be plugged into a PC to read off the memory card, or you can stream them using the app.
A great purchase and I am thinking of purchasing another to cover the back of the house.
Already have wansview cameras but up graded one to this especially as it pans up and down and from side to side, also noticed it has a better picture quality.

I really like this camera, i also have the indoor version.
Picture quality is very good as is the software – it is simple to use and works flawlessly.
I am withholding a star though as i would like the software to have fuller integration with Alexa. For example when i leave the home I would like to set a routine that activates motion capture – currently i have to go into the app and activate it.
A minor point but one that i wold really appreciate.
This is super easy to install and since I already had the app set up, all I needed to do was scan and I was ready to go.
This is quite impressive. The picture quality is very clear both day and night. You can plan, tilt and zoom from your phone, enabling you to monitor all directions. Movement is recorded in blocks so it is easy to jump backwards and forwards without having to search endlessly through the day. I haven’t used the cloud storage as I’m quite happy with the memory card option at the moment, but you have the choice.
I must comment on the top class support from the wansview team. I had a small hitch with my previous camera and they couldn’t help enough, not like other companies. Wonderful customer service.
I thoroughly recommend this product and shall be watching out for more wansview products.
Great camera which I really do recommend. You can use their cloud subscription which I now use but also this camera takes an SD card if you don’t want to pay.

I works with an excellent smart phone app and there is a (slightly hard to locate) desktop application which both support multiple cameras. The apps provide motion sensitive alerts and other useful functions. The camera can take an SD card to store motion or manually triggered video and image capture, or there is a cloud service if required.
Although the camera has a high resolution (full HD), the image has quite a few compression artefacts, which are apparent if you zoom into the video fully. It’s more than fine as a surveillance/security camera, but you aren’t going to be making any Hollywood blockbusters with it.
Overall a really useful addition to our home security set up.

Particularly like the option to pan and tilt remotely through the Cloud App and select different views. The Mike and Speaker options are good additions if you want real-time contact with a visitor. Sharing the camera using the Cloud App is very useful when another member of the family wants to see if anyone has called while they are at home or away.
I used the memory card option to save recordings in the event of an Internet problem while I was out. The recordings are saved in the Cloud for 2 days (useful when on holiday). At 4.25 per month for multiple cameras, you can have a rolling week of storage (a little more expensive than Ring Doorbell) but may give peace of mind.
I find having a mounted camera gives better visibility than a doorbell type because the angle and coverage is better, particularly with the W9 when you can set up multiple views and store as presets.
Overall, very satisfied.
We have a few Wansview cameras now – this is my favourite. Good quality wide field of view, the pan/tilt is responsive and the app easy to use. 10/10
Really impressed by this latest W9 camera with typical Wansview high quality picture and night vision with the remote pan and tilt a dream compared to manual adjustment. Initial setting up was simple and hitchfree. I use a memory card rather than cloud storage and the app is so easy to use for both live adjustment and playback. Lots of features but particularly liked the adjustable zoned area to minimise event triggers from, for example, passing traffic and, when playing back, going straight to the start of the recorded event rather than having to search for it.
Having previously installed two W6 cameras I can vouch for the online support offered by Wansview which does them credit so, yes, I do really like this camera and have already bought another one.

his camera is impressive for the money it is large rotates and is easy to use. The photo quality is very clear and it was easy to set up. the app is easy and connects well. I also have a smaller same make camera for the back of my house which is good quality and I have used for a while now with no issues. I would recommend this product. good value for money .
