Visually this watch is fantastic. It’s not without it’s faults though, but for 125 for an automatic Seiko watch with a display window & day/ date function it’s hard to complain. If you’re after a watch that’s 100% accurate 100% of the time then a budget auto isn’t for you. The strap isn’t the best, feels a rough around the edges. I also that the Seiko SNK805 (which also has the canvas strap) & for some reason has the Seiko details on the buckle & generally has a much more premium & robust feel to it. This strap feels a bit on the cheap side. On the whole this is an outstanding watch for the money & the strap is something that can be changed for something a bit more premium without any problems.
Loses a minute of time after about four days. I bought a silicone band for it. The one that came with it was useful, though.

Have been using it for a month. Readability in light is good. In dark it is ok. The accuracy is fine. It seems to lose time when not used for two days; I’d have thought the charge would hold longer but it’s fine. Looks smart. Feels comfortable on a small wrist. I like the watch.

Das Uhrband aus Textil ist schn breit und sitzt sehr bequem. Ich hab die Uhr jetzt etwa eine Woche am Arm und Sie luft auch brav und genau (und selbst wenn sie nicht ganz genau ist, bei der analogen Anzeige ist mir das egal, wenn ich es auf die Sekunde brauche, befrage ich die Atomuhrapp … genauer gehts da wohl nicht … – und da ich sie so gut wie immer trage, ist sie mir bisher auch noch nicht stehen geblieben. Zusammengefasst: eine sehr schne Uhr, auch fr Damen.

Visualmente es precioso. La cantidad de nmeros que tiene lo hace muy atractivo. La Correa me gusta mucho. Es perfecto para en da a da. No se puede pedir ms por su precio.
No le pongo 4 estrellas porque la caja vena abierta y en el interior no tampoco vena la tarjeta de garanta. Es la primera vez que me pasa.
Se adelanta un poco pero lo es desmagnetizado para solucionarlo. Supongo que todo el mundo no tiene por qu saber hacer esto.

Took off one star because of visible scratch after only two days.
Very easy to read. Watch is not too big or too little. Band is a somewhat stiff but very sturdy. Hard to tell if watch us fully wound up. Automatic winding only,by movement of person wearing. Would prefer that it could also be hand wound. 100 meter water resist is all the average person will ever need ( swim- snorkel).

J’utilise la montre depuis 2 semaines et tout est parfait aucun dcalage sur l’heure, je ne la porte pas la nuit mais elle ne s’arrte pas. Rien a redire

Conseguido en Amazon Internacional a un precio de derribo, es sencillamente una compra maestra. Bonito, preciso, cmodo y laureado en casi todos los foros. Imposible estar ms satisfecho.
Have had this for about a month and it’s become my new favorite. Bought it primarily for durability and legibility at work and I’m very pleased with it. It’s a bit larger than the SNK8, and the wider, white hands on the dark blue dial make it super easy to read. I don’t use it much after dark, but the lume does live up to it’s legend. As others have mentioned, the blue is very dark, almost black, but it still looks good. The strap itself feels sturdy. The only thing that feels flimsy is the buckle, so we’ll wait and see how long it holds up. This is only my second automatic watch, but I’m pleased with how much quieter the rotor is on this one. Very happy, highly recommended.
After nearly a Month i can say that this watch is worth Every Cent. It Looks Great and feels Even better. It has a good weight and the Glass where you can See the movement is a nice Thing. The Most Important for ne is the Accuracy and with +1 to +5 sec per day it can challenge some much more expensive watches. I recommend it without a Doubt. When you search for a good Automatik watch, this Model should be cosidered.

Great entry level Seiko. I would love for this watch to have a little more water resistance and for its internal movements to last a little longer. This is a great watch as long as you wear it everyday because it will lose too much time otherwise.
Awesome little watch. Keeps pretty good time for a watch at this price point. Losing about 10 seconds a day. Plenty good for me. I highly recommend!!!
My original Seiko watch broke down for a second time – I have sent it for repair – but I really needed a replacement at least temporarily, and this model is fairly close to the original. I don’t think it quite has the elegant simplicity of its predecessor, but it is more water resistant and so far seems to keep good time. It also tells the day of the week, which is nice. Whether it will last another 20 years, only time will tell and I probably won’t be around to see.

It is no secret that the Seiko 5 series are an excellent choice for a good watch on a budget but this one is my favorite of the bunch.
Compared to the rest it has a very good water resistence, with a very good size and I just love the looks of it!
I bought it along with a leather strap and now it is my go-to watch for almost every ocassion.

I have a few seiko 5 watches and this is a great every day watch. Glad I got this in blue. It looks good and is not too big to be warn on a smaller wrist.
Love the watch. Also got a smart watch “screen protector” to help against dings or scratches.
Cool blue colour and solid stuff. Excellent for casual or sportswear.

It just doing the job what made it for I can’t complain look good feels good so I like it I will buy more and I do recommend for everyone. Timing 5 second delay under 24 hours not bad..
UPDATE : I was wrong about 5 seconds because if live on ur wrist between 5 seconds and 2 seconds the difference…
At the price of $99, for which I paid, it’s a good value. I measured mine at 42mm by 12mm with a 22mm band. I am 6′ 200lbs with about a 7 1/2 or 7 3/4 inch wrist and I certainly would not want any larger of this style of timepiece on my arm. If I had it to do over again, I’d not purchase this but opt for something different as it doesn’t fill the nitch I expected it to (no fault of the watch). Just my take. I will keep it and I do like it. As my only real disappointment, it came with absolutely no paperwork (i.e. warranty, instructions or information). The watch is simple enough that instructions were not necessary. After the fact, I noticed the setting instructions in the Amazon description if one were to need them. But come on Seiko, INCLUDE SOME!

I have other Seiko watches including a nice Seiko Coutura with day/date/month/leap year correcting. This Seiko 5 Sport Automatic is on my wrist on a NATO strap partly because it is new and partly because it looks nice and the strap is so darn comfortable compared to the heavy stainless steel bracelet on the Coutura.

Great watch although the strap it comes with could be improved. The quality of the watch is very good for the price although the movement lacks features such hacking (the hands stop when you want to adjust the time). Honestly one of the best automatic watches in the price range. I would get this watch unless you need an extremely precise watch as this one will lose its time by +/- 5 seconds each day and will require you to re-adjust the time every once in a while, while something like a quartz watch will be much more accurate.
The watch is excellent for my needs-at 40 mm in diameter I can easily see it in all conditions-the lume is evenly applied and plenty of it. The watch provides the date and day- a wonderful thing for a forgetful person like me. The unit is durable-I wear it in harsh environments. The cloth band is not flimsy, one of the best I have owned-I will not be changing it anytime soon. I enjoy the concept and operation of the automatic watch; I do not have to open the case annually to change batteries or provide a vector for dust, dirt, etc. to enter the mechanism-this is important to me. I also like the 100m water resistance-I am in harsh conditions and this really helps with denying the infiltration of water, sweat, dust, etc.
I would certainly recommend owning this timepiece as it easily supports my expectations.
An excellent watch for the price. Keeps excellent time. The quality is as expected from a Seiko product.
1. You cant wind it. If you don’t wear it for a long period you will have to move it to start it. I personally don’t care about this. BTW The watch has 43 hours of backup energy.
2. You can’t hack the seconds hand. Some watches have this option and with this you can synchronize your watch with other. I’m not a spy so I also don’t care about this.
Appart these 2 “flaws” the movement is very precise.
In the end for me this is a watch worth having it doesn’t matter if you collect watches or you are just looking for a watch to wear this is one of the best watches you can get for the money.
compound I polished all visible drab surfaces to a shiny stainless steel look. Looks great. Prefer a larger
screw-down crown. Watch keeps good (within, say a minute each day) time. Canvas band helps to keep
skin under the band dry, and it can be cleaned with a toothbrush and dish cleaning detergent. But, the band
could be a little longer. There is barely enough band material to make it through the first band loop. I prefer
a loose band. Overall style is simple and clean. Display time is EASY to read at night if you don’t mind wearing
sunglasses to bed. I recommend the watch, especially for the low cost and design.

Very sporty and masculine. Large face which is easy to read. Band is “tough” and durable, shouldn’t wear out. So far…love it!

Great watch, great value! Only reason I don’t give 5 stars is because the strap can be a bit “smelly” at times when wet.
Two annoyances: 1) after about 36hrs the watch will stop working and need to be tapped to start up more power. But I knew what I was getting when purchased. 2) time keeping drift forward 1-3mins. Been over 6 months and still works like a charm.
Unreal value at now $99. I did upgrade the band but if you are looking for a pilot style automatic <$100 with an exhibition back, you won't find a better watch than this one! Accurate to +2/- 2 sec a day power reserve is perhaps 26 to 30 hours. Finish is terrific!
This is a great daily driver watch. I’m not a watch expect, so I’m certain people can point out lots wrong with this watch. For the price I find it to be excellent. I replaced the strap with a Hadley-Roma 22mm leather band Hadley-Roma Men’s MSM881RB-220 22-mm Brown Oil-Tan Leather Watch Strap . It is very accurate and quite quiet.
Modest looking inexpensive watch that now is my daily beater. Only about 8 seconds slow each day (same as my Seiko SKX007). Excellent lume that easily lasts all night. I’ve swapped the comfortable OEM nylon strap for a Xieman 22mm steel band, improving the watch’s looks. Very happy with this product.

This one is a keeper. Looks great — as someone else said, the blue face is nearly black. The watchband isn’t bad — not fabric as shown, but a blue nylon band that looks terrific, though I may eventually swap it out for a deep brown leather band. As for accuracy, here’s my first-24-hours-of-ownership report: it hasn’t lost or gained even one second as against the atomic clock at the Naval Observatory. It’s “old school” technology that so far rivals my Seiko solar-battery quartz watch in accuracy and exceeds it in appearance. The day/date is easy to read, and the luminescence at night is terrific — far easier to read than the Seiko quartz that I bought last year. I thought the 42mm case would look larger on my wrist, but it’s just right. Except for the accuracy, all other comments are obviously subjective judgments that anyone might quarrel with.
All-in-all, this is a great casual automatic watch. I like the sweeping seconds and it appears to keep time in-line with my expectations. It is silly that it can’t be wound but is extremely easy to set (as I wear it intermittently). Seems to run out of juice after about 26 hours of idling.

A great watch with a clear crisp face. I have worn it at work (farming) for a month and there are no scratches on the crystal. Time is accurate – only about 1 minute fast in about 10 days. I would buy another when needed.
I like the watch, but the owners manual was not shipped. Fortunately I knew how to set but wish I had the owners manual.
Das mitgelieferte Textilband ist vllig in Ordnung, aber ein Lederband wertet die Uhr doch noch einmal ordentlich auf – weshalb ich das Band bei mir sofort getauscht habe.
Die Ganggenauigkeit der Uhr schliesslich ist extrem beeindruckend. Ich habe zwei davon und eine Uhr luft nach 2 Wochen, in denen sie immer etwas zu schnell lief, mittlerweile absolut genau! Ich habe die tgliche Abweichung nicht gemessen, aber ich muss die Uhr nur alle 4-8 Woche mal um eine Minute zurckstellen. Meine zweite Seike 5 luft etwas zu langsam und muss alle 4 Tage um eine Minute vorgestellt werden (das werde ich eventuell noch einmal von einem Uhrmacher korrigieren lassen). Fr eine Automatikuhr in dieser Preisklasse ist das absolut fantastisch.
Alles in allem eine tolle Uhr fr jeden Tag fr jeden, dem es noch auf die Inneren Werte ankommt! 🙂

This is an excellent watch! I really like the size and it is very attractive. It has the Seiko 23 jewel movement which is proving to be very accurate. The band is really comfortable, too. Another real winner from Seiko!
Ich trage die Uhr jetzt seit 1 Woche tglich und die sind mir gut gefallen.
Fast perfekte Uhr, nur kleine Gangabweichung, wie bei allen mechanischen Automatikuhren.
Aber alle meine Erwartungen sind komplett erfllt.
Die Uhr sieht klasse aus, gut verarbeitet, die Zahlen auf dem dunkelblauem Ziffernblatt sind sehr gut ablesbar, und fr diesen Preis kaum man kaum kein anderes vergleichbares Produkt finden.

Very good watch for the price. I replaced the strap with a more comfortable nato one and it looks very nice
Fantastic for the price. Good size even on a 6.5″ wrist size. Sort of cheap band; still it’s comfortable and works perfectly. The soft loops mean that while typing one has no issues as opposed to the metal loops on a Nato or Zulu style strap. Accuracy (casually monitored…) is about 30 seconds a week. After wearing for a couple days, the watch can go at least a day and a half in the dresser drawer and still be running. Highly recommended.
This watch is very nice. It is very solid and easy to read. Automatic is nice but runs out after a few days. I like the blue color, it’s sharp. Watch seems to be accurate. I love the day date.
I am more than happy with my watch . When I bought it , I didn’t realize I was buying a self winding watch , but now I am glad that I did , because it means the waterproof seal won’t ever have to be compromised to change the battery .
The watch , so far , has kept perfect time .
I guess if I had any complaints it would be in color of the face . It was sold as being blue , actually it is more black than blue .
