Solar Lanterns Outdoor 2 Pack, Hanging Garden Lanterns, LED Solar Decorative Landscape Lighting, Waterproof Auto On/Off for Patio Yard Backyard Pathway [Energy Class A+++]
I think this lantern serves as a really good decoration. As I don’t have a garden, I decided to keep it near the window in my bathroom. It looks lovely when it is bright outside and the lantern is not shining (the colour makes it look a bit antique) and when the room gets dark, the lanterns create a nice yellow light pattern on the sidewall and my skin. It is beautiful.
I also think this lantern would work perfectly outside in the garden and I hope one day I can test that one I have in a garden.
The only unfortunate thing about this lantern is that the UK does not have many sunny and long days during autumn/winter/early springtime so this lantern is very dim and does not last very long during these times. When the day is very sunny, lanterns shine quite brightly in the evening which creates a beautiful effect. I guess I will have to wait for the spring to enjoy it at full brightness more often again.
I have a little corner on the floor at home by the bifold doors where I put a few of these type of solar lanterns there. They absorb the sunlight through the windows to charge up and light up at dark. They won’t rust if I put indoor, the hallow pattern shows a beautiful pattern on floor at night. That’s my magic corner. They are very low maintenance as you don’t even need to switch them on/off. My husband say it’s quite romantic sometimes.
I have been looking for something to replace my hanging baskets during the winter months and thought these lamps would be the perfect choice. When they arrived, I didn’t think they looked very special close up and wasn’t sure if I had made the right decision, especially when I thought about the fact that there isn’t a lot of sun this time of year and they rely on solar power to light up. My garden is also quite shaded, so not the best place for solar powered lights. What was I thinking? Having said all of that, I put them outside and they actually worked better than I was expecting and look lovely during the day and even better at night.
I did struggle to work out when they were turned on, because the on/off switch has a rubber cover which doesn’t move when you press the switch, so you have to feel through the rubber coating to work out if the switch is pushed up or down. The rubber coating on the switch is excellent protection for the wet weather so I can understand why it is there and I just used a torch to partially charge the solar panel before hanging them outside, so that I knew they were definitely switched on. The lamps are a more generous size than I was expecting and since putting them up I have had a lot of lovely comments about them from friends and family. These lamps light up well on a cloudy day so I can’t wait to see how they glow after a sunny day. I might forget the hanging baskets next year and leave these lamps out all year round.
They are easy to setup, you just need to take them out of the box and they have a switch at the top to switch them on and then they can be left out and will come on automatically when it gets dark.
A few things to consider:
– The light switch button wasn’t obvious as it is a press button and I wasn’t sure if I was switching it on or off. It was guesswork but luckily worked for me on the first try otherwise I could have thought they were faulty.
– They need to be placed appropriately to get the sun exposure, with October now, I am finding they only provide about 3 hours of light before they turn off so where you place them is important
– They are light and can be placed on a hook or just standing on their own. The light is a nice glow but it doesn’t illuminate a large area. I would say it creates a nice ambience but the light itself is not powerful to illuminate a larger area.
Overall, these add a nice decor to the garden and I like them though I don’t think they will provide much light in the winte
battery lasts about 5 hours after full day in sun, they add to the ambiance in the garden quite alot and work well with decent light output to create these shadows on our patio
A very lovely product that looks beautiful in the front or back garden. This can even be placed in doors and does not have to be outdoor specifically. The brightness is amazing, the colour of the product is nice and eye catching. The material is nice and strong, it is also very lightweight and it can be hooked onto something very easily. The patterns produced are very nice and it gives the are this is placed in that “wow” factor. The family really love this and are in love with the product! Amazing overall, and would definitely recommend.
I really like these solar lanterns. First of all, they are super easy to use, and since they are solar, all you have to do is put them where you want and leave them to charge from the sun. They charge throughout the day and stay on all night.
They look absolutely beautiful. The design is so nice and the way they emit the light is so nice. They are so cute and a nice size so you can put them pretty much anywhere. I highly recommend them for the price and I just cant fault them.
Great detail on the design. Lightweight so easy to move around but need to be stored in windy weather because of this. Solar panels seek to work well. Haven’t had a lot of sun to test how long they last yet though
Really pretty set of outside solar light lanterns that look lovely on the back drop of a star filled night.
The lanterns arrived with some charge so I was able to use them straight away. They are made of robust metal
They can he hung from their handles or rested on a flat surface. I have mine on a table in my garden and at night the pattern of the lantern illuminates my paved garden. I’m surprised that the one little light creates such a nice light show.
If used inside one would need to put them out daily to catch some sun so they can light up. Or they can just be used as a focal point with no light as they are quite pretty even when not lit up.
Given that they are solar lights they don’t shine for as long as I’d like as it’s now autumn and not that much light in the day to fully charge them. They require 6-8 hours of full sun for them to illuminate for up to 8-10 hours
Once unboxed remove the film off the solar panel and switch on the light with the on off button.
These lights look stunning hanging on brackets in my garden. They charge up well and make such beautiful patterns on the fence at night time.
During the day they look very pleasant – but at night time the effect really illuminates the dark fences with beautiful patterns. Would love to buy more- I think anyone that has a garden, or likes their garden would be thrilled to receive these as a gift. Definitely recommend.
These solar lights made of cut metal have a single LED light in the top under the solar panel. A rubberised switch powers it on or off, and left on it charges and automatically turns off during the day. The solar panel isnt that big but only powering a single LED so I expect it will be fine. I had it running for at least 5 hours and likely longer through the night after a day in sunlight. The lantern can be placed on a table or hung, the base doesn’t have any cut pattern so so you don’t get any light effect under it which is a shame if you have it on a hook off the ground. These are 19cm high so not that big and 2 for a fraction under 24 at time of review so a little expensive based on similar lights. No issues with the build quality on the ones received all welds fine and no sharp edges.
I really like this pair of brushed copper-effect metal lanterns, with a pattern of stars and flowers on quite a boxy, geometric-shaped lantern. Both lanterns are illuminated by single warm white LEDs on the underside of solar panels set in to the lantern tops. I like the fact that unlike on some similar lanterns the solar panels are helped to stay in place with a couple of little metal posts rather than simply loosely sitting in place. Power switches are on the top of the solar panel insets. The lanterns have solid metal bases, and I was pleased to find these have little drainage holes to help prevent rusting.
The one small negative to these for me is that the metal on the handles is quite rough in places
These lanterns are an alright size, they are bright but not very bright. I’ve given it 4 stars as one of them is not as bright as the other. The let off a nice pattern on the ground.
Not much else I can say about these.
Lots of variations around these days for garden lights and these are one of our favourites. The lanterns have a good antique gold finish and the light from them is quite bright so it casts the shadows of the metalwork well against a fence or a wall.
This has the yellow/gold bulb which in many cases is preferred by us as the white lights can be a bit stark in my opinion in a garden setting.
As we enter the Autumn (Fall) these are a very pleasant and effective addition to our garden. They ‘charge up’ under the sun very well and give a beautiful, ambient light throughout the evenings and into the night and, no, I haven’ stayed up all night to see when they finally go ‘off’ – but it is certainly not before midnight in September!
They are attractive when not lit (during the day) and we will be looking to find suitable places for each to hang – as a permanent feature.
Happy to recommend these to prospective purchasers.
his little lantern produces light very well, leaving a nice pattern. The material is of good quality metal construction but this does leave a question whether it will rust in the winter months.
for testing purposes i placed my on the ground in the corners of my patio. however they would be better if i have hanged them up.
the lanterns do have a dawn/dusk sensor i did leave mine for a few days in the sun before drawing a conclusion however once fully charged its actually really nice not much to look at in day light however come night it comes to life.
on cloudy and rainy days it does struggle to fully charge it wont last more than about 4/5 hrs. in the summer month i went to bed about 9pm woke up at 4.30am and there still alight, so are long lasting.
overall its a very nice product it will brighten up any pouch/patio im only giving a 4* because i felt the solar panel itself looked rather cheap and in cloudy/ rainy days it does struggle to fully charge.
Super great laterns for outdoor use.
Looks amaizing at night.
Works well, great lighting colors.
Very happy to have them.
So surely can recommend it to all.
It may not look much in daylight. It may just look like most Moroccan -themed solar lanterns. But it looks amazing when it gets dark.
I like how it reflects its shadow on the ground/garden table when it gets dark, which I believe is its selling point.
As per its battery capacity, I exposed it to direct sunlight for more than 8 hrs, and I was surprised that it worked for more than 10hrs. No stir, so I find it impressive. Tho, of course, it is a different story when it gets cloudy or rainy. It has automatic dusk to dawn light sensor, which is pretty standard for most outdoor lights.
You can hang it or place it on the ground or garden table. But, of course, you can also put it indoors once it is fully charged.
It is made from an unspecified type of metal, which makes me question if it rusts in the long run.
These pack of two solar lanterns have a decorative lattice pattern, which gives a nice ambience to my patio area. They are made of a thin metal material which is brass in colour and they give off a soft yellow glow. I turned them both on and placed them outside in daylight for approximately 8 to 10 hours so that they could fully charge. They can be hung or placed on a flat surface, but if it’s windy you may want to move them into a more secure place. Overall I’m very happy with them.
These 2 copper coloured metal lamps have a blackened fake antique look but are fine for outdoors. They have a chemical smell too. They are light weight with attractive cut outs of flowers and star shapes. They are cheaply made and not high end. The thin carry handle pivots and hangs well on any hook. The 4cm x 4cm solar panel is adequate for the small single bulb which provides a warm glow to the garden. The panel is easy to remove as it is not stuck on. These 2 lamps are ready to use by pressing the on/off rubber covered button next to the solar panel.
…to buy these – being early autumn. Evenings on the patio with some nice lights, maybe some food (barbecue), drinks and a few friends, lovely. These two lights give out enough light to show pleasing patterns on the ground, adding to the ambiance.
The lights are well made, if a bit too lightweight for 5 stars, and look really good when lit or not. The best thing about these lights is when the solar light stops works (I have never had a solar powered light that didn’t stop sooner or later) you can put a candle in or even just leave them as additions to the garden ornaments.
I feel a tad to over priced for 5 stars, so 4 stars.
The lights/ lanterns came as a pack of two.
Lovely brushed metal with a flower detail design.
Once I had switched them on and placed them outside for the day, when it got dark they produced a nice warm yellow glow.
They are perfect for hanging or standing on a table/ decked area .
My son wants to use one as a night light as the pattern is cast across the walls of his room (solar powered saves my electric )
I would personally recommended these lights as a great addition to your garden/area.
These are really pretty, they look very effective at night all it up shining a pattern on the floor. We have a circular ones too and are very happy with them. They look nice too in the daytime with a brushed copper effect. We hung them up as in strong winds there’s not a lot of weight to them and I didn’t want them to fall over. They have an on/off switch on the solar unit.
I love solar lanterns! This comes as a set of two, lightweight, ornately decorated metal with a soft yellow light. Perfect for evening outdoor gatherings.
