Excellent looks and comfortable fit. Do not normally like over the ear headphones, but these are great! The noise cancelling is good, and it adds to an excellent audio experience.
For the price, those must be one of the best headphones on the market. They have decent noise cancellation and a good fit and adjustments. The decent music quality is definitely worth the price.
Nice headphones in navy. Very good sound, three adjustments, transparent, normal or noise cancelling. They are adjustable, a little loose fitting, but ok. Comfortable ear cushion. Easy connection with iPhone, also have a pair that are connected by Bluetooth on TV. Would recommend, good price around 50.
good product .
but the instructions is the worst I ever come across.
very tiny pictures on instructions ,very tiny write up.
needs magnifying glass to read the instructions and to see
the photos. hence 4 stars ,
other than that is ok
These over ear headphones are very good. The sound quality is superb and the battery life is amazing. Probably used them for about 30 hours already and the battery is still showing 50%
Longest I’ve had on them on constantly is about 6 1/2 hours and they were still comfortable, and I have quite big ears
The app is great for changing the equalizer settings. ANC is brilliant but there’s also a transparency mode for when you need to be able to hear your surroundings.
Comes with a sturdy hard case for traveling and a headphone jack cable for when you want to connect to a non Bluetooth device.
Would thoroughly recommend them.
I LOVE these headphones, best ones I’ve ever had! Amazing sound quality and comfortable to wear, even for long periods of time. The touch technology to change it to transparent or noise cancelling is incredible! And the noise cancelling quality is spot on! The storage case for them is lovely too, amazing quality! Worth every penny!
I bought the product to revise before my exam which worked very well. The noise cancellation meant I could concentrate on my revision no matter how much noise was out there. I like your product and it does what it says. The battery life is excellent and the features are just right.
Amazing sound quality and the drown out feature is superb when trying to zone out and focus with music playing.
I have had these for at least 6 weeks now used a fair few times and the battery’s have not even started to drain.
They Look great and a very comfortable fit.
Great headset for those who love music and are on a budget.
Well packaged and the headsets holding case is of good quality also.
100% would recommend this headset.
After working fine for a couple of months the NC button on headset stopped working. Reddit confirms other with same problem and solution is to turn on via app. Slightly annoying NC butyin issue but other than that a great sound and NC function.
Don’t waste money on others when you can buy these. Iv had very expensive headphones before and there were never as good as these. The quality of the music is pitch perfect allow you to enjoy all the harmony’s by far the best set Iv owned. Easy to use, battery life is fantastic with quick charge time too.
These headphones are excellent value for money – was debating a pair of Sony ones but couldn’t justify the cost of them. There is some sound leak as my daughter can hear them if they are turned up loud but the noise cancelling feature is very good.
My only gripe is Amazon reduced the price after I bought them. This really annoyed me.
Ordered a set for daughter Christmas but after 4 month they failed and could turn on. I managed to find out that you hold power button and volume up to reset them. Which turned them on and they said 100% power.
Turned them off but wouldn’t turn on again.
Not ideal but quick chat with amazon I had them returned and a new pair ordered as they are well rated and the voice and sound quality for the price are excellent and my bose quite comfort had a very similar issue so I don’t believe it quality issue that affect all of the products they supply and was unfortunate that our pair failed.
I do like these headphones, they are comfortable, they have lovely sound, and are just about as good as the Soundcode Q20 and the Soundcore Life Q20 headphones that I have had before.
The noise cancelling does not seem as good, and they also do not have a bass boost as the Q20 ones has previously, which if you are a fan of bass is a downside. The biggest problem for me and the reason for only 4 stars is the fact that I am not able to really move around in these headphones much, I have a small head and they are quite large. if I tip my head forwards or backwards I can feel them slipping off! If I wear my hair up and put on a headband thingy I can get them to stay but being a glasses wearer also this can be a little uncomfortable. I think that if I knew any of this information before I would definitely choose the Q20’s again! even though they also are a little on the large side, they definitely didn’t slip as much as these ones do. I bought these to replace the Q20 headphones that my daughter seems to have taken ownership of!
I have been really satisfied with these headphones. They are my first noise cancelling set and work well. They don’t remove noise fully, but they certainly dampen external noise to a great extent. I would recommend for those (like me) on a budget that your money would be well spent.
They come with a nice case for storage and transportation along with charging cable and a jack plug.
I bought these largely to use when driving my ride on tractor mower. They fitted the bill well, being comfortable (albeit a tad sweaty in warm weather) with decent sound quality, although it was best suited for voice output. Music was more than adequate, especially considering the moderate price, so cannot be expected to worry more serious contenders from Sennheiser, Sony, Bowers and Wilkins, etc. Overall, a great buy.
My wife hates ear buds with a passion, so has always used over the ear headphones when watching movies on her iPad . She was most distressed when her new iPad did not have a headphone lead socket, and threw a hissy fit. I looked out these headphones for her, and they have the same features as much more expensive ones. The noise cancellation is impressive, and she can now watch movies on the train in peace and quiet, with comfy ears. The battery life is excellent, and recharge time seems pretty quick. However, for some strange reason, she opted for the pink colour. Time will tell if this looks grubby in a couple of months, but so far, so good! I can highly recommend these headphones, and my wife thinks they look really good in pink.
The product works great, however there is a design flaw. They crack in a specific place, which is why they replaced my original item no questions asked, but now the replacement has started to crack and for some strange reason soundcore are telling me that the warranty of the new item carries on from the original order, most ridiculous thing I’ve heard. Dont buy this, or buy it and return it after a while, then buy it again. This is poor from soundcore
I bought these for a recent ski trip and wanted to watch a movie or two on my phone (on the plane and coach) to pass the time. I read up on many headsets with noise cancellation but did not want to spend a fortune. These head phones are amazing for the money. Well made, comfortable over ear, easy to use and virtually perfect noise cancellation on both the plane and a coach. Not tried in other environments but for what I wanted them for these are perfect. Oh lovely protective case supplied too. Don’t hesitate, you’ll be very surprised on the quality.
Review based on after 2 weeks of receiving them.
I have to say after buying (and returning as either poor quality, poor sound or both!) other headphones with rave reviews I was sceptical. But! I was highly surprised at both quality and sound from these headphones. The quality feel surprised me as they have weight as well as a strong build feel to them. The sound reproduction is excellent and can be adjusted via an app to suit personal tastes. Also comes with a case about the size of an iPad in area
They have a look and feel of the highly recognisable brand but at below half the price (I also had a voucher deal so it was double bubble for me).
I certainly would recommend these headphones
Bought to replace my ageing wired headphones as I find myself watching more-and-more content on my tablet as my wife usually has first dibs on the TV. At least if we’re in the same room, we kind of keep each other company.
First impressions are good. Headphones are light and comfortable. I have big ears and the pads fit over (just) and not on top. Noise cancelling is good — my wife has to shout to attract my attention. Bass and lower frequency definition is quite impressive. It’s not fair for me to comment on the higher frequency definition as the +/- 6dB custom equaliser adjustment is not really enough to counter my severe high frequency hearing loss (I could do with +/- 25dB – see attached). However if I’m feeling really fussy, the in-app equalisation of the music and video players on my tablet and phone added to the headphone equalisation settings shown does seem to give me as reasonable a full frequency range definition as I can tell.
I’ve read reviews saying the ear pads start to disintegrate after 12 months or so. I chose these as replacement pads seem to be readily available online.
All-in-all worth the money.
I’ve been using these daily for several months now and they’re great. I work from home and they let me connect to my phone and laptop at the same time. I can be listening to music on my phone, but as soon as a call comes through on Teams, they cut across to my laptop so I can take the call.
The noise cancelling is pretty good at blocking out distractions. Not as good as Sony’s noise cancelling, but my trusty WH-1000XM3 headphones don’t let me connect to two sources at the same time, so these win out for my daytime use.
The battery lasts well, with charge to spare after 40 hours use over my working week.
I find the fit a bit loose, so if I lean to pick up a dropped pen or something, they’re going to slide off. They also don’t follow the shape of my head well, so there are big gaps top left and right under the band. Minor quibbles, though, especially at the steal of a price they cost.
I’ve had the Q30s for a little over 3 months now and wanted to write a quick review on my findings.
I bought these headphones as I wanted wireless and noise cancelling functionality, without breaking the bank. I only really use them for work, so rather spending 200+, I settled for these.
Overall they are fantastic for the price. In terms of build quality, they are a bit plasticky, but what do you expect when they are under 100? If you treat them well, then they are more than good enough. They don’t creaky or show any signs of breaking, so I am more than happy in that respect.
The ear cushions are also great. I have a pair of Audio Technicas, and in comparison, the Q30s have less padding, but it’s by no means a negative. I have never had any issues with them.
Sound wise, I am no expert. However, I personally think they are great for the price. The bass is decent, and I’ve got no complaints. In terms of noise cancelling, they are fantastic for the price. I’ve tried Sony headphones in the past, and the Sony’s are definitely better, but then again, they are nearly 3 times the price. Personally, I have no issues, and they are able to mitigate background noise when I am in the office.
Battery wise, they excel. I’ve only charged them twice in the time I’ve had them, so I’ve got no issues.
There is only one issue that I have, and that is in regards to making calls. There is a lot of background noise in my office, and I’m always getting comments about it. The microphone struggles to isolate your voice, and therefore everyone can hear the background noise. It’s disappointing, but as I mainly work from home, I can live with it. Do bear in mind that I work in a rather noisy office, so this may be less of an issue for you.
Overall they are fantastic for the price.
Before buying these headphones, I did extensive research to ensure that I bought the best head phones for my budget. I wouldn’t say that I’m picky when it comes to headphones, I just wanted a pair of headphones that were comfortable and had good sound quality. And these were an absolutely amazing choice! I were deciding between these and the trending ‘Sony’ headphones, and after a lot of YouTube videos, I concluded that though the Sony pair may be slightly better, the soundcore q30s were definitely a better choice when it comes to the price. Let’s be honest, they basically do the same thing but the Sony pair cost 200 more!! I think my favourite part of these headphones is the app that comes with it: it allows you to change the sound depending one what genre of music you are listening to and it just sounds so much better! It also comes with sleepy sounds (hard to explain but very relaxing). I truly do love these headphones, they are so comfortable and I have worn them for hours at a time without hurting my ears! A long lasting battery wasn’t one of my main concerns when purchasing (as I have an apple phone that dies every 5 minutes i’m pretty accustomed to it), but oh my goodness it is brilliant! I genuinely don’t think that they have ever ran out of charge while using, it just makes the experience x10 better when you’re not concerned about battery percentage. And if you’re concerned about these headphones connecting to an apple phone, I wouldn’t worry. They connect with such ease and I’ve never had a problem. Just use Bluetooth and you should be fine. Obviously they wont connect as seamlessly as Apple products, but this is not surprise to me and their connectivity is great. The noise cancelling feature is also terrifyingly amazing! Once again, when first buying I wasn’t very concerned about how good the ANC was, but now that I have used it, it is so so good! I would not class these headphones as ‘budget headphones’, as they are absolutely amazing quality and offer amazing features. If you’re like me and not overly bothered about fancy features that more expensive headphones may offer, I would seriously recommend these. Have a great day!
I bought these hadphones in 2021 and still using them.
I wish they were more durable, there’ve been plenty of small parts that have broken off but it’s still very usable. The earpads are starting to peel off as well but replacement earpads should do the trick.
If you’re looking for cheap headphones with Noise cancellation, comfort, a few controls and a brilliant app through which you could download updates and customise the type of noise cancellation you want.
You can control the music settings to your liking using the equalizer in the app. I’m not a fan the out-of-the-box sound but I use a preset called “Acoustic” from the app which is perfect for me. There are loads of other presets if you don’t know how to customise your music using the equalizer either.
And the battery life is incredible. 5 minutes of charge for 4 hours of listening time is so handy for sometone like me who forgets to charge gadgets before needing them.
I’m excited to move to the q45 now, but I highlt recommend the q30, it’s an absolute steal
I’m amazed at how much Bluetooth headphones have improved since my last pair. I did a lot of research before buying and believe these are the absolute sweet-spot for price and performance. A little bass-heavy for me out of the box, this can be tuned to your liking using the app and sound amazing once you get them how you like them. Connection seems to be rock-solid and noise cancellation is genuinely impressive, if not quite the best money can buy. There are three presets for noise cancelling based on the environment but passive noise isolation is pretty good so I rarely need it when also playing music as I hear very little of the extremal activity, and if I need to connect with my surroundings it’s as simple as touching the right-hand can and external sounds are relayed to the ear in a surprisingly clear and natural way. The semi-hard case is a nice bonus and should protect from all but the most serious accidents. All in all I’m extremely impressed at what you get for the price and the battery life is just insane. I’m a fan.
In my humble opinion these are really great headphones. To summarise the key reasons I like them are as follows:
Noise Cancelling works well
Good connectivity
Good sound
Confortable
Noise Cancelling-
There are three modes, normal, transparent and noise cancelling. Transparent seems to be as if you were wearing open back headphones, normal gives some dampening of external sound and noise cancellation(NC) significantly reduces external noise. My experience is that the NC removes a lot of the lower frequency or booming out of external noise. This has been very effective against my noisy neighbour and has been a game changer when it comes to conference calls (more on this below)
Good connectivity–
It works across all my devices (iMac, iphone, Macbook Pro) at least those that I use frequently. The iMac I use for work but I like to listen to music from my iPhone while working. I found I can pair the soundcore headphones with both and it seems to work sensibly, i.e. no frustration of the wrong device connecting and having to unpair and repair. I also tried them as the sound output in Studio One DAW and they worked with no issues there, although it is important to note that for recording they are no good due to the latency which seems to be inherent in all bluetooth headphones. However for listening back to previously recorded tracks it works fine. I like to do this while working and when there is an incoming call on the iMac the music from the macbook is replaced by the incoming Teams call audio, which is exactly what I would want. On closing the call the music resumes (although it doesn’t pause the DAW. The play/pause button on the earphone will not control the DAW transport controls, but would instead open Apple music app).
Good sound–
This is obviously subjective, but I haven’t altered the EQ (available in the soundcore app) from the default, and it gives a good rounded balance across all frequencies (IMO). I probably wouldn’t use these for mixing but for everyday listening I find the sound quality is impressive.
Comfort–
These are one of the most comfortable pair of over-ear headphones I’ve tried (and I’ve owned a few). They don’t squeeze my ears (again this is subjective) and I don’t find myself adjusting the position of the headband to avoid soreness which I have had to do with some previous sets. I have worn these for many hours at a time during work so far and they are comfy.
Summary–
I’m very impressed with these especially at the price. For me this was a bit of a price hike from what I would usually pay for ‘non professional’ headphones but they are worth what I paid for and more.
Got these for Black Friday for around 50 and so far couldn’t be happier.
Originally I just got them to play on my computer but in the end I’ve been using them for about a month, both indoors and outside in a loud city setting (including the tube).
Wanted something comfortable as I have AirPods Pro but they start hurting my ears pretty quickly, on the other hand I’ve been able to wear these for several hours with no discomfort (although outside if I’m active it can get a bit sweaty, but I’ve had the same issue with other headphones before).
They’re great: the sound is of good quality, especially if using their app to adjust to your style of music and I’ve been using them with both iPhone and pc and they connect quickly with no issues.
The noise canceling could be better, it’s certainly not on par with the AirPods but it still does a pretty good job of muffling sounds around you, including on the tube; I have hypersensitivity issues with sound and it’s good enough for me at this price point and switching between the modes is very easy (although I’ve had it sometimes switch at random while out and about, maybe because of my hair).
The battery life is so long lasting and that’s needed because they don’t switch off automatically so it’s happened a few times that I forgot to turn them off, only to find them still connected a few hours later.
I haven’t used them much on calls but when I have the other person seemed to hear me just fine (which is rarely the case with my AirPods).
Overall, I was a bit reluctant at first because I’d never heard of this brand but I would highly recommend them if you don’t want to spend too much money on headphones and are still looking for decent quality and noise canceling, they have certainly well exceeded my expectations.
very impressed with these headphones, they’re comfortable to wear, have reasonable build quality, and even a decent App which includes an Equaliser (settings then stored in the headphones to apply to other music sources. I have a pair of wired Audio Technica headphones which I’ve been using with a headphone amplifier, so that’s what I have to compare these to. My preference for headphone is those with a strong, low, and punch bass, and a high maximum volume, and I’d say that these tick all of the boxes. With the Equaliser adjusted to the higher side across most frequencies, they’re loud enough to make your ears ache, with bass that’s lower and more punch than my Audio Technica’s. I don’t have any better headphones to compare these to, but I’m reasonably picky, and I’ve very happy indeed considering the price. The Equaliser allows the saving of custom profiles which you can name, ideal 🙂
My only minor gripe, and something I’ll get used to, is that they have “Transparency Mode” which is activated by touching the right ear cup, it’s a little easy to set this off when removing the headphones from your head.
I can’t really comment on the noise cancellation as it the first headphones I’ve had with the function, but it has three modes and would appear to work as expected, equally, for my use case, I rarely would deplete the battery, but it promises to last a long time between charges.
Top marks from me 🙂
I recently made the switch from Apple Beats, having had 2 pairs break within just a year of use, to these by Anker, and it’s safe to say that I have been impressed. These headphones are a true game-changer, surpassing my expectations in every aspect.
The Q30 boasts a sleek, modern design, and the build quality is impressive. The materials used feel durable, and the headphones are surprisingly lightweight, making them comfortable for extended wear.
The hybrid active noise cancelling technology effectively eliminates ambient noise, immersing you in your music without any distractions. They deliver Hi-Res sound that outshines my previous Apple Beats. The bass is deep and powerful, mids are crisp, and the highs are clear without being too sharp. The headphones support multiple modes, allowing you to customise the sound profile to your liking, whether you prefer a bass-heavy beat or a more balanced sound.
Anker has proven its prowess in battery technology with an impressive battery life. Pairing the Q30 with my devices was seamless, and the Bluetooth connection remains stable. The touch controls on the ear cups are intuitive and responsive, allowing for easy playback and volume adjustment.
Considering the features packed into the Q30 and its competitive price point, these headphones offer exceptional value for money. Anker has managed to create a product that not only competes with the likes of Apple Beats but in my opinion surpasses them in many aspects.
In summary, the Soundcore Q30 is a standout choice offering exceptional noise cancellation, superior sound quality, and thoughtful design. These headphones won’t disappoint and have proven to be a worthy upgrade from my Apple Beats.
As someone perpetually on the hunt for high-quality, budget-friendly headphones, I was on the verge of settling for a used pair from well-known brands like Bose or Sony. That was until a friend recommended the Soundcore by Anker Q30 Hybrid Active Noise Cancelling Headphones. Skeptical but intrigued, I decided to give them a try, and I must say, I’m utterly impressed!
Right out of the box, the Q30s exude a premium feel that belies their affordable price tag. The build quality is robust and reliable, something I didn’t expect at this price point. What truly sets these headphones apart, however, is their exceptional sound quality. The audio is crisp, clear, and well-balanced, making for an immersive listening experience whether I’m enjoying music, podcasts, or movies.
The active noise cancellation (ANC) feature is a standout, offering multiple modes to suit different environments. Whether I’m working from a bustling caf or relaxing at home, the Q30s effectively drown out background noise, allowing me to focus on my audio content without distraction.
Battery life is another area where these headphones shine. I can go for days without needing a recharge, even with heavy use, which is a significant plus for someone like me who often forgets to plug in gadgets.
Now, let’s talk about value for money. With the Q30s, the adage “you get what you pay for” doesn’t apply. These headphones deliver far more than their price suggests. The sound quality, build, battery life, and added features like ANC compete with much pricier options on the market.
In conclusion, the Soundcore by Anker Q30 headphones are a revelation in the budget-friendly audio gear category. They offer a high-end experience without the hefty price tag, making them an ideal choice for anyone looking for quality, affordability, and functionality. A definite recommend from a thoroughly satisfied user!
I bought the Soundcore Q20i headphones but didn’t like them (too much hiss on the ANC). I exchanged them for the Q30 and I love the Q30s. For the extra 10-15 that I paid (when both sets were on sale), the quality of the Q30s is much better.
There is still a small amount of hissing on the ANC in the Q30s but it is much less aggravating. Build quality is better, they come with a hard case (which the Q20i didn’t), and there’s a nice added feature of being able to switch between transparency and noise cancelling modes by touching the right headphone (without pressing any buttons).
Noise cancelling is reasonable, they are comfortable (I have an average-sized head and wear glasses), and the sound quality for music and audiobooks is good for the price (you can adjust the EQ settings in the app to suit personal preferences which I like).
The only reason I haven’t given 5 stars is because the ANC still has a slight hiss (although I think most ANC headsets have this), and the ANC could be slightly stronger (but for this price it is very good). The power button can also be a bit tricky to use. The headset is also very slightly loose on me. I don’t mind because I hate tight headphones on my glasses, but if my head was smaller or I was using them during physical activities, they might fall off.
However, for the price I would definitely recommend these, and if you are deciding between the Q20i and Q30, I would say go for the Q30, especially if like me you use ANC a lot.
If you are neurodivergent or struggling to concentrate when working, these are a good affordable set of headphones for reducing background noise while still being comfortable to wear.
I’ve done quite a bit of research prior to purchasing these headphones and can only confirm the good reviews they’ve received. I am very pleased with both the comfort, the various features, the degree of noise cancellation, battery life and the sound quality. I’m amazed such a great product is available at such a comparatively affordable price. Happy to recommend them wholeheartedly.
Excellent sound quality for the price point.
Easy operation and connectivity.
The periferal app is easy to use and works well.
Good comfort although because of the snug fit, ears can get a bit sweaty.
Good noise cancellation although, I would like a little bit more, as road noise, heavy machinery and electronic devices are still audible.
Outstanding battery life.
No stated water resistance, which is disappointing.
Would highly recommend.
For the price, great headphones and very good sound. I do like Bass on my headphones and earphones, and these matched what I was after.
What I do like about them as well is that you can still use the aux connection if you are wanting to use them with an older device, obviously, just lose the noise cancelling function. So all round, very good and would recommend.
The most positive quality of these headphones would be how comfortable they are. The padding on the speakers themselves and at the top of the headphones make it so you can wear them for hours without a headache. I would say the noise cancellation isn’t as good as i expected but for the price you can’t go wrong
I’m genuinely blown away.
I’ve fallen in love with music all over again. I’m just cross that I’ve not spent the money on don’t decent headphones like these years ago.
Very impressed fit the money.
I like the product. Does a good job for the price. My biggest issue is that the noise cancelation keeps going off by itself, and this happens oftentimes when you need it the most. You could be in a noisy place and that’s when it’ll go off. One time, I kept pressing the button to turn it back on but it kept going off. It was so annoying.
Got these for my girlfriend, and I honestly cannot tell the difference between these and my 250$ Bose QC45, if anything, they sound better. I am amazed at the value for money. Also, these are super comfortable – great for long flights. Totally worth the money!
I absolutely love these headphones, they are very comfortable to wear even though I have multiple earrings in each ear, the sound is brilliant & I was so impressed I bought a second pair to give to my daughter, worth every penny!
These headphones are amazing. I hear things in songs now I didn’t know was there before.watched YouTube reviews and was sceptical.but let me tell u this is the best money I spent for a while.i use them for training and I can’t wait to train now.soundcore well done going to order my son the Liberty 4 nc now .excellent delivery times too.thanks so much
Excellent pair of headphones. Excellent sound quality. The only downside, they’re not ideal if you go running – the headphones easily slip off which I found out by nodding my head with them on. However, I don’t do running nor nod my head in regular use so five stars.
I got this for infrequent use, but I found myself using it quite a lot. I am impressed with the noise cancelling function, is not perfect, but good. The sound quality is decent and can be fiddled with through the app. They are comfortable over ear. I don’t particularly enjoy the way they look, though.
Nice and comfortable, good sound quality and good noise cancelling. In my opinion very good value for money – however I did manage to pick them up at a discount so only paid approximately 56. I do have a particularly small head but they are ok on the smallest setting – I wouldn’t jog in them though! Very good quality storage box too. I have only had them a short time so can’t yet comment on the battery life.
These were an absolutely find! As someone who struggles with noise, I finally decided to try noise-cancelling headphones.
These have revolutionised my evenings when noises are hard to tolerate. The noise cancelling function works brilliantly and I can also sit without music playing to a much quieter atmosphere. Sound quality when playing music is good and they are super comfortable to wear, even as a glasses wearer.
My only consideration when buying would be that my head is very typically sized, and these are quite large. I don’t have to extend the head piece at all, and they do slip slightly if I bend over.
Not sure what some reviewers are complaining about. For the price, these are excellent. Yes the sound is not great out of the box but once adjusted with the Soundcore App, in my view the sound is better a lot of more expensive headphones. Noise cancelling is pretty good and battery life is excellent.
For the price, there is not much out there with the same level of sound, built quality and user experience. By all means buy a more expensive headphones from so called known brands but I would suggest saving your money as these are more than good for most people
If you are looking for over the ear headphones for the gym these are great.
I have noticed the ear pads arent very breathable, so I’ll likely be looking at getting cloth replacements sometime in the future to stop them sliding off when im super sweaty (avoid cardio in these for that reason)
Everything else is great. Noice cancellation works enough for me to block out gym metal noise and the terrible commercial gym music.
Music quality is reasonable, but you can use the app to adjust the EQ which is great to fine tune to your taste.
I charge mine once every 2 weeks and never have an issue with no battery in a session.
Overall will recommend
My previous budget set literally fell apart on me after 3 years, I’d say 40 well spent, I however wanted a bit of an upgrade so was willing to go over 100.
I spent 3 hours googling and every list I found had the Q20s in them, I then saw a YouTube video doing a test of all 4 in the range and the Q30s seemed to blow the guy away, I then did more reading of the Q30s and with a 25% off voucher I paid 54
Next day I literally turned them on and they instantly connected to my Motorola Edge 30 mobile, the app was seemless in finding them and I would say the standard sound was ok but a little muddy, the personal equalizer is brilliant, 8 levels to change and the sound quality is exceptional, I wore them for 6 hours with little to no discomfort aswell.
The noise cancelling does work really well but I genuinely don’t need it so probably will not use it.
The battery lasts 60 hours and without noise cancelling on I’d argue that’s pretty close to the truth
What can I say if you’re thinking of spending over 100 then my recommendation is to give these a try first , or the next ones up because I’ve not had a better sounding pair of headphones before and every review I’ve seen of them is they’re better headphones more than double their price.
I bought my pair of headphones a few months ago and there ended up being a problem where one side of the headphones went loose and after i contacted amazon they sent me a new replacement right away! thank you Katie for great product support. i am pleased with my purchase.
The headphones are great but it doesn’t fit on my head properly. Its too big for my head. I’m going to keep them cuz I need them but they need to ake the design to fit all by making them a bit more snug and adjust the snuggles whilst I’m working out it tends to fall a bi
I’ve had these for about 8 months now and use them every day. They’re excellent quality, comfortable, have decent noise cancellation and the battery life is on another level. I can probably count on 2 hands the amount of times I’ve had to charge them in 8 months.
Quality product from Anker. I reccomend them whenever I can.
These were such a great buy I have a pair of earbuds same company and after reading the reviews I thought I’d try them and I’m glad I did the sound quality is amazing bass tones everything amazing and the noise cancelling it works perfect I use them while traveling and they’re great.
Thank you soundcore another great product.
Really liked these headphones but a split developed on the rotating component on the right side – it still works but doesn’t always fit snugly against the ear and it will probably only get worse. However while they lasted – for around 15 months, with daily use probably averaging a couple of hours – they did the job well. Effective noise cancellation. Download the app to control the different settings (transparency vs. noise cancellation, eg – there are also settings for indoor/outdoor/transport). A slight bugbear was having to press down on the power button to turn them off – it takes a good few seconds, and you have to make sure the power light goes to red (off) otherwise they’ll still be on when you’re not using them and the battery will drain. Would be better with an ‘easier’ off switch. But that’s a small point – they’re also very lightweight and portable.
For the price, these are great. Very good sound quality and battery life. Noise cancellation is fine. Don’t notice much difference between the settings tbh but it is decent. They’re comfortable too, they don’t press into you much although that does mean they’re prone to sliding if your head isn’t upright if working out etc. But they’re great for work / commuting
These are very cool headphones for the price! excellent noise suppression! sounding great! I was very pleased with the case in stock, comfortable, and the headphones fold very well. the headphones themselves are light, very comfortable, almost not felt on the head! very satisfied with the product! So far so good, I hope there will be no surprises in the future! Of course, it’s not very pleasant that after a couple of days the price fell by 27, even a little insulting (((
Initially, I connected these to my phone, and thought they sounded awful with the ‘signature’ sound, very muffled, and thought what have I done! I really cannot imagine anyone wanting to listen to them the way they arrive. I then downloaded the Soundcore app, and was very pleased once I’d adjusted them to my liking. They sound truly phenomenal for the money.
I then had real trouble getting these connected to my Avantree transmitter/receiver which was concerning, as my main reason for buying these was to connect to my TV.
They simply refused to at first, then after numerous attempts, they decided to, and I breathed a sigh of relief. Volume is sufficient, but not blisteringly loud, so be aware. There’s no noticeable audio lag when connected to the TV for me.
I was going to buy a cheaper pair, but now they’re connected I’m very happy with these, the adjustable EQ being the main selling point for me, the ANC is good, they’re decently made, and the case they come with is decent quality. Plus, of course the sound quality really is a cut above for the money.
My only frustration was getting them connected, and I sent an email to Soundcore asking for advice, and was a little disappointed to receive an automatic reply detailing steps I’d already researched on the net.
I’ve been searching for a modest priced headset with quality and my word these headphones tick every box possible.
From the comfort & fit to the quality of sound & bass is unreal. I cannot recommend this highly enough.
The sound core app allows you to creat your own equaliser to your taste which is fantastic as we all love our own twist on the music we listen to.
The noice cancellation is fantastic, no more screeching train tracks ruining my ears, just high quality music to make my journeys more enjoyable!
5 stars is all I could give, definitely worth more. An absolute steal for the price and quality!
I recently lost a very nice pair of Sony WH900N headphones. I had them for years and they were awesome.
Not wanting to spend another 200 I opted for these. Initial thoughts are, they’re comfy, the sound is rich and deep. The buttons on the outside look a bit… Meh, but honestly. If they last more than 18months they’ll be a brilliant purchase. They came 50% charged, we’re a doddle to connect to my android phone and the case is good. All in all a good buy. I’ll update at the 6 month stage for durability.
An excellent product all round.
I have gone through my share of headphones, be they in-ear, over-ear, stereo and stereo noise cancelling, etc.
But I can say – with some confidence – that these are some of the best headphones to get, should you be looking for a set that provide premium features and quality, but don’t wish to break the bank.
The one drawback I could make, is that the headphone case (appropriately included with the product) is a bit of a squeeze. This is quite disconcerting, should you be carrying them in a bag where you don’t wish them to take many bumps or knocks that would break them.
TL;DR: Worth the money, I’d recommend them, if they fall within your budget.
Whilst the sound quality is very good and the noise cancellation works fine for the price there are two things I really don’t like. The headband cushion and the ear cushions are awful, flat as a pancake and misshapen after a month. They have barely any cushioning which has made the headphones increasingly uncomfortable. Honestly the worst headband padding and ear cushions I’ve had on any of my past headphones many of which cost less than half the price of these.
The build quality everywhere else is excellent the battery life is brilliant and the app works well with headphones with the equaliser making plenty of difference to the sound but the comfort of the contact points are pretty important part of listening to music on headphones.
Pretty disappointed I’d definitely have given more stars if the headband padding and ear cushions had been more substantial and kept their shape.
UPDATE: I’ve added one more star as Anker support got in touch after reading my review and we’re go early excellent going out of their way to help without me getting in touch with them. They offered either a full refund or replacement but by this point I’d decided to keep them and they still refunded part of the cost. Brilliant pro active service you don’t seem to get with a lot of bigger brands. It definitely means despite the padding issues I have Anker will be at the top of the list when buying again. Thank you Anker!
For the price with promotion the headphones are good for what it is. It comes with a solid case and the 3.5mm jack. However, to obtain a good noise cancellation i.e. if some one next to you talking you can still hear their mumble therefore you’d need to put the volume up about 70% which also risks sound leak.
I have to say comparison to Sony WH-CH720, sony’s NC is a lot better but obviously dearer.
Also, i notice if you fall asleep and put pressure on the headphone, you get this high pitch deafening sound not sure if its a fault or safety sound before it breaks with pressure.
Overall sound is good, doesn’t get warm around the ear, battery is not too bad maybe a charge every 3-4 days on frequent use however i wish the noise cancellation was better.
I used to be a voice-over artist, plus I have sensitive ears, but I can safely say these earphones have been the most pleasurable earphones I have used in years.
–
Sound canceling (ANC) on these matches some earphones I have tested 5 times the price! All I can say is I wish I had bought them sooner, yeah they are not perfect but will say they are the best budget earphones I have ever used.
–
I will tell you how good these earphones are, in my house, I have 3 fish tanks, and each fish tank has a pump motor that is supposed to be silent, but if anyone knows fish tanks and aquarists, air pumps even when silent do vibrate and hum.
I can normally hear my fish tanks from the kitchen when I watch a movie or listen to the radio in the lounge.
–
I put these ANKER LIFE Q30 headphones/earphones on and it is sheer bliss, the ANC works so good it blocks out the sound of my fish tank pumps completely, which I never really expected. I can now watch movies in near silence if I want, plus I am also amazed at how long the battery life lasts. I charged them up once and have not needed to recharge them as yet.
–
By far my best headphone purchase ever!!
–
–
Note: It is worthwhile checking Youtube too where you will see some good videos on how the ANC works and blocks different frequencies and noise. There were also a couple of less good reviews online, however I think that was due to the fact that the testers did not fully understand the ANC frequencies which were being blocked, and the environments they were being used in.
–
Safely say my best buy on AMAZON in years, and I love using these headphones too, on another positive note using these connected to my Android phone along with a tinnitus app now helps me alleviate my tinnitus too!!
–
Now, that is a WIN-WIN!!
Hubby needed a better pair as his current pair of headphones were noisy. I could hear everything that he was listening to, whereas with this new set the noise cancelling works very well. Set at the same volume level – I cannot hear anything. Plus the quality of sound is far better. Very happy.
This is my first set of over ear headphones and I’m happy with them. They are comfortable on the ears (this was important to me as I hate any part of my head or ears feeling squeezed or compressed).
The noise cancelling works and it has 3 modes (transparent, noise cancelling and normal). There are a few steps for pairing it with different tech, but its not difficult to do. It comes in a nice case and I’ve been very happy with the quality.
Bought these in the Spring sale for 55 after reading the reviews and checking out various You tube videos first.
I wasn’t disappointed, the Sound is crisp & clear with no distortion once you have downloaded the app and customised the EQ settings (recommended EQ settings can again be found on YouTube or Reddit)
Headset is comfortable to wear and the noise cancellation feature is an added bonus.
Overall a great buy for quality headphones at a fraction of the price of the branded ones.
Headphones themselves are pretty decent for the money, purchased them a couple of weeks ago to replace my 10 year old set that I use when I’m gardening, doing DIY or cleaning the car. Unfortunately they don’t stay on your head very well when moving around, kind of miss my old set but the noise cancelling and everything is great with no issues on that side.
Good points.
Long battery life
Good noise reduction, on a plane not a lot different to bose 35, maybe 80% there apart from
a higher pitched drone. The lower pitch drone of the 35 is more relaxing. By altering the type of reduction like outdoor, transport etc can improve this a little.
Easy to switch between sound modes
Amazing price, to be honest at the price its very good NR.
Not so good points
They stick out so far from the head
The music sound quality is poor, no matter what I do to eq they just sound distant and lack life and realism.
Summary if you want good NR and dont want to spend 300 then these are ok as long as you don’t want great clear sound..
Oh my my my, let me tell you about these Soundcore by Anker Life Q30 Hybrid headphones. They’re so funky and fresh, they make me want to get up and dance! The sound quality is simply sublime, with crystal clear highs and a bass that will make your heart skip a beat.
But what really sets these headphones apart is their hybrid noise cancellation. It’s like being transported to another dimension, where all you can hear is the music and nothing else. No distractions, no background noise, just pure musical bliss.
The design of these headphones is simply divine, with a sleek and stylish look that will turn heads wherever you go. And the comfort? Oh, the comfort! These headphones are so comfortable, you could wear them all day and forget you’re even wearing them.
The Life Q30 Hybrid headphones also come with a whole host of features, like touch controls, a built-in microphone, and a long-lasting battery life. And the fact that they come with a hard carrying case means you can take them with you wherever you go, whether it’s on a tour bus or just out and about in the city.
So if you’re looking for headphones that will make you feel like a true rockstar, look no further than the Soundcore by Anker Life Q30 Hybrid headphones.
I am writing this review just under a month from when I purchased them. I am writing it now because this is the first time I have had to charge the headphones since owning them, and even at this point they still had 30% charge left.
When originally looking for a pair of ANC headphones, I was looking at the Bose Quiet Comfort range, and air pods max. Ultimately price was an issue and after reading lots of reviews online and YouTube I settled on these, and was able to purchase them with a 20% discount at the time.
In short, for the price I paid, I am more than impressed. The noise cancellation although not to Bose standard, is very good. I have used these indoor and outdoor and am impressed at the level of noise they remove. I can easily keep the volume to less than 50% indoors whilst a washing machine/tumble dryer/tv/rowdy children are making noise and not have the listening experience affected. Outdoors is a similar experience with wind or crowded spaces.
Comfort wise they are fine. I don’t really feel the ear cups and have had them on up to an hour at a time. It is worth noting though that their form is a little bulky (see photo), although this isn’t really much of an issue for me.
One of my favourite things about these is the transparency mode, which is very good, but I also like the way you can activate it by cupping the right headphone. I don’t really use the buttons on either side, preferring to control ANC or volume via my phone.
I have used these at the gym, and in a spin class. They are not sweat/waterproof and I knew this when purchasing them. Although they are fine for strength work, I wouldn’t use them on the bike again. The sweat just builds up around the ear and is uncomfortable.
Sound wise, spend a bit of time in the app sorting out the equaliser. I was not a fan of the signature sound (which really did sound muddy), and instead worked on my own custom equalisation. I’ve attached it in the photos as a starting point for others. I have to say however the app is really good, very easy to use and provides extras such as white noise for those who like it.
Overall I am really satisfied. I will definitely consider soundcore products again in the future.
UPDATE: Anker Support has been excellent and have been in contact and we have sorted a way forward. It doesn’t take away from the fact that NC does not work with the aux cable but other than that we do love the headphones so changed the score to 4* – They do say in their advertising that NC in aux mode doesn’t work but it was a bit lost in all the positives. Thank you Anker for engaging and sorting a way forward.
Heading onto a long haul flight we needed some NC headphones as my old ones broke. These looked great so quickly bought 2 pairs. Alas once on the plane we found that when using the 3.5mm jack, to plug into the plane media system, these just switch off and become standard headphones. Just when you need them most the NC doesn’t work. We are now stuck abroad with expensive standard headphones. We will be returning them as their major purpose was for the flights. We are away for longer than the 30 days but have been promised that because we have logged our problem we can return them once we get home. They are now just a dead weight in our luggage. Shame because they looked so good.
I used to have some Sennheisers but they finally fell apart and I was looking for a replacement. I absolutely love these and they are better that my old ones and cost a lot less. With all the volume, pause on/off controls located left or right on the headphones and being able to quickly switch between ANC and transparent without having to use buttons is so user friendly.
The sound quality is great and the ANC works very well! I am super happy with these and the other products I have from this manufacturer.
I’m no tech expert, but these are very easy to navigate. Definitely download the free app alongside them though, super helpful. I use them for both travel and sleep, works great in both. Cuts out snoring well, though I do use the wave noises and rain sounds and I don’t know how it would be without that. Works well on transport too, cuts out those lower frequencies really well when it is on the right mode. I would say anyone who doesn’t like these needs to download the app and re-evaluate, the app adds a lot of value to these. The battery life is great too, I’ve never run out of charge, though I do charge them every 4 ish days.
I’m using the headphones for commuting and along with my computer for work and performance so far has been flawless, really good sound quality, the noise cancellation blocks out most ambient noise and with music playing you can’t hear anything going on around you. The call quality is also really good, I was worried about the microphone not being up to par for Teams/Discord calls and the noise cancelling interfering with audio but it works perfectly so far. The case that the headphones come in is a little weird to figure out and it would have been a little more convenient if they just made it a bit bigger but I can’t really complain since the headphones and all other cables fit inside. For me pairing across multiple devices is a little hit and miss(I’m using an iPhone and a windows computer so maybe that’s why) but since I mainly just have them connected to the computer it’s not much of a problem for me. The design is pretty minimal and they fit comfortably as well. Battery life is also fantastic, a full charge can easily last me 2-3 days when I’m using them for most of the day and the charge time is also really fast. I’m a student and they really help me focus when I’m in a library or a cafe. All in all, really happy with the product and definitely worth the purchase.
I got these to connect to my fireTV stick so I could watch movies late at night without bothering anyone.
I really really like them. Very comfortable. I think any type of headphones get some kind of discomfort after prolonged use but these I can wear the longest by far out of anything I’ve owned.
Noise cancelling is nice and sometimes I’ll wear them with just that feature on and some of the ambient sounds in the app (rain, wind, birds) and it helps me to focus.
The sound is very well balanced. I used to love alot of Bass but prefer balance these days. These headphones have a lovely rich Bass but it’s also very clean. Clarity is excellent. There’s an equalizer in the app too, if you want to fine tune- but I’ve found the default setting to be very good.
All in all- for the price point, these are absolutely brilliant. The battery lasts ages too.
am delighted to give the Soundcore by Anker Life Q30 headphones a glowing five-star review. These headphones are simply outstanding, offering a premium listening experience at an affordable price point.
The sound quality is top-notch, with crisp highs, rich mids, and deep, powerful bass. I appreciate the active noise-cancelling feature, which helps to block out external distractions and create a more immersive listening experience.
The design of these headphones is also excellent, with a comfortable fit and intuitive controls. The battery life is impressive, lasting for hours on a single charge.
Overall, I highly recommend the Soundcore by Anker Life Q30 headphones to anyone looking for high-quality headphones at a reasonable price. These headphones are a true standout and a must-have for music lovers and audiophiles alike.
Just to preface – I have some experience with audiophile headphones but for convenience I mostly use AirPods Pro and my Sony XM4 overhead headphones as my daily drivers.
Recently I lost my XM4s and I couldn’t afford to replace them so I opted for these. I have to use overhead in the gym.
And so I will be comparing my experience to those Sonys. And, these are great – they have a similar sound stage, I would argue. A bit on the narrow and shallow side. But still very dynamic to make my workouts fun on a day where I cannot motivate myself. There is a very usable EQ in the app. The app is also much more easy to use compared to Sony’s.
The ANC is about 80% of those XM4s. When the headphones are playing audio, most sound from the outside is almost indiscernible. But where it suffers is the passive sound isolation – the plastic is so light and the cushion padding is not as plush as more premium headphones, so it never sits completely sealed when I’m moving about (walking, workouts). But for 60, you really cannot and should not complain.
Performance wise, I feel like they are 90% as good as my XM4.
Finally build quality. This is the Q30’s weakest point. The plastic is cheap and the whole product feels cheap. But it does feel like it will last if you take care of it. It’s carry/travel case is also very good. Given that every other area of these 60 headphones performs so strongly, this feels like a necessary trade off.
If you can overlook the passable build quality, these are very very good headphones for the money you are paying.
Came on time, Which was next day delivery ordered about 8pm came around 4pm the next day.
Happy with packaging. Bought this knowing that there is a difference in material between the black one and the pink one, I’m happy with the material for the one i received, it seems easier to clean.
Didn’t expect the headphones to be made of this kind of plastic ,but doesn’t affect the use. its light and very comfortable, especially the protein leather bit. I use headsets for long amounts of time everyday which can get uncomfortable so I was very glad its not the case. Just abit concerned about how long before the protein leather will last because its so soft and nice! But so far so good.
Came with the aux/aux and USB C/ USB A cable in a pink leather bag which was cute.
THE SOUNDS are what surprised me – For the price that it is – Its soo good! when I have it on NC mode, I can safely say i can’t hear a thing including people speaking in the same room. When Transparency mode on, it was like a movie where the sounds are more highlighted. I didn’t expect the quality of sounds to be so great spending less than 100. I would definitely recommend this headphones to anyone wanting a good quality headphones without wanting to spend an arm and a leg. There is an app to adjust the equaliser and modes u would listen to things in , which I found very useful -There are alottt of people on these reviews that are unhappy with the quality of sound of their Q30- Wonder if it might be better with a different mode?
Everything all easy to use the app, the connectivity was fast, both blue tooth and NFC. The buttons on the headphones takes some getting used to but overall very happy
