Great option for those interested in using hand tool.
I bought this with the matching sweetheart block plane. Both were very substantial products, that seem well built and comfortable to use. I did not spend a ton of time getting the sole flat as some other reviews have mentioned. For me, and what I do, it was fine out of box (I’m just a hobbyist woodworker). I did hone the blade on this plane and felt that it improved the performance. (I say that because it took a few uses with the block plane before I felt it need sharpened) I feel that sharpening should be expected when using hand tool though. They need to be honed regularly to make them enjoyable to use. And when they are, it’s addicting. I feel like I was just planing to plane once this came in.
The only negative feedback from me. The handle did come in somewhat loose. I was able to adjust enough to make it usable, but I have yet to fix the problem entirely.
Also worth mention, but overall a non factor in the tools performance.
This tool is beautiful. Like it looks like it should be enclosed in a glass box and put on display at a museum.

Se dobbiamo cercare il pelo nell’uovo la manopola per regolare il ferro in un posto un po’ angusto,chi ha le mani grosse fa’ un po’ fatica ma ne vale la pena
Jack of all trades
Suola non perfettamente piatta, c’ una frazione di millimetro di luce immediatamente davanti alla bocca, dal lato del pomello. Niente di grave, i trucioli che deve produrre una jack devono essere pi spessi dello spessore della luce.
Ottimo l’aggiustamento della bocca.
Un po’ pi delicato da settare invece l’aggiustamento laterale, che non la classica leva delle bevel down, ma un perno con vite.
Un po’ scarsa la vernice all’altezza della bocca regolabile. Al primo aggiustamento, si rompe in scaglie e viene via. Niente di terrificante, solo un difetto estetico.
La pialla viene ben oleata nelle parti in ghisa per prevenire la ruggine, la lama arriva affilata a 25, ma non pronta per lavorare (non finemente almeno).
Ottima la presa della maniglia a 4 dita.
Provata anche nello “shooting”, bisogna trovare la posizione corretta della mano per tenerla; io personalmente posiziono le 3 dita praticamente sopra la lama. Buonissima impugnatura ed ottimi risultati.
Rapporto qualit/prezzo fuori di testa. Chi sminuisce la linea SW di Stanley, o campa di Veritas, o non sa di quello che parla.
Mucho mejor de lo esperado
Encantado,necesito un jack n62 de angulo bajo,no tenia ganas de gastar lo que cuesta un Veritas o Lie niensel,el cepillo es perfecto en suela y lados escuadrados a 90 grados.Logicamente necesita algunas correcciones como una lija grado 800 para matar los cantos lla que vienen con los cantos sin pulir.La cuchilla muy bien afilada aunque necesita un afinado para estar perfecta,encantado con la compra
Ce rabot est un 62 amlior. C’est une re-fabrication de chez Stanley, visible par SW frapp dans un cur sur le capot presseur. On n’est pas du du produit au dballage, lourd et bien fini. C’est un beau produit.
C’est une demi-varlope, qui par son faible angle de biseau 12, en fait un rabot quasiment polyvalent.
La lame d’acier est devenue trs paisse 3,5mm en acier A2.
Vraiment Stanley, dans le domaine des rabots, fait de gros efforts pour ne plus tre considr comme un produit bas de gamme.
Je recommande ce rabot pour tout amateur en menuiserie qui dsire faire du bon et beau travail, tout en se faisant plaisir avec un bel objet.

Sensazione di solidit e robustezza. Ho regolato solo il filo del ferro ed era gi pronta a lavorare.
L’ho comprata perch volevo spratichirmi con un attrezzo che non mi lasciasse in dubbio in caso di lavoro venuto male. Adesso so che se una cosa non viene perfetta unicamente perch non sono ancora pratico a dovere, ma uno sballo usarla

La lama e ben affilata l suola e ben squadrata e ben livellata ,il meccanismo di innesto della lama si poteva fare meglio a troppi giochi la leva di apertura della bocca della lama e da sistemare troppi residui di costruzione ,ma fate conto che una pialla come questa di Veritas costa il doppio quindi si ci lavora un po’ e si ha un ottimo risultato

Le meilleur rapport qualité prix pour un rabot à angle faible N°62 ?
Je suis quip en rabots anciens d’occasion type Stanley Bailey que je rnove ou des rabots neufs de bas/moyenne gamme dont je corrige, avec beaucoup d’efforts, les dfauts de finition/gomtrie pour les porter un trs bon niveau. J’ai en effet du mal avec le prix des rabots des grandes marques que je trouve trop lev surtout si on souhaite en acqurir plusieurs. Il n’y a pas de rabots angle faible de bas de gamme. J’ai donc profit d’une occasion Amazon Warehouse (110) pour acqurir ce rabot qui a de trs bonnes critiques sur internet avec un prix “raisonnable” pour du plus haut de gamme.
C’est clairement un rabot de qualit mais qui n’est pas exempt de toutes critiques.
Globalement le rabot est beau et dgage une belle impression.
Les poignes en bois sont trs bien usines. Aucun dfaut de forme sur les miennes. Elles sont assez massives et satisferont plutt les grosses mains que les petites . Le bois est de trs grande qualit mais un peu trop homogne mon got. Je prfre les bois qui montre un beau veinage. Je trouve la forme (et le maintien) de la poigne arrire moins confortable que celle plus classiques des autres rabots. Il manque aussi une deuxime vis de maintien qui conforterait la tenue. La poigne a tendance se dserrer l’usage.
La poigne avant montre un vernis brillant assez pais alors que celui de la poigne arrire est mat et plus fin. Je ne sais pas si c’est fait exprs mais cela fait un peu bizarre comme sensation dans l’utilisation. Elle commande l’avance de la lumire avec une belle pice de laiton qui sert de came. Il y a aussi une belle rondelle en laiton pour protger le bois la base de la poigne avant. A part que la came en laiton tait un peu tach le rglage fonctionne trs bien et la partie mobile de la semelle est parfaitement ajuste.
La lame est paisse et sa gomtrie est excellente. L’affutage est reprendre car c’est un rabot d’occasion qui as servi (quelques clats sur le tranchant) mais l’affutage devait tre trs bon au sortir de la bote. Le sige de la lame est parfaitement usin et le systme de rglage de profondeur Norris s’embote trs bien dans le sige et la lame. Celui ci montre un peu de jeu dans le rglage de la lame aussi bien pour la profondeur (un tour de vis) qu’en latral. Dans les deux cas ce pourrait tre meilleur sur des rabots plus chers. Par contre le systme lui-mme a ses dfauts intrinsques : un rglage de la lame plus difficile mon sens et que l’on ne peut pas faire la vole.
Le presseur est en aluminium peint. A la prise en main cela fait un peu lger par rapport aux presseurs traditionnels mais il semble remplir trs bien son office.
La semelle est plane et les flancs d’querre. Il y a quelques petits dfauts sur les deux tranches suprieures peintes en noir des flancs et l’usinage de ces parties n’est pas parfait mais c’est peu visible et ne joue pas sur le rabotage.
Le rabot est trs efficace et surtout trs facile pousser en comparaison des rabots angle fort (n4 ou n 5 par exemple). Par contre le rglage est moins ais qu’avec ce type de rabots et n’est pas possible la vole. On a des matriaux de qualit, une bonne gomtrie et une finition qui explique la diffrence de prix avec un rabot plus bas de gamme. Au final, un trs bon rapport qualit prix car le prix, pas trop lev, se justifie par des pices de trs bonnes qualits qui apportent un vrai plus (la lame notamment) et une gomtrie/ finition/affutage qui permet d’avoir un rabot vraiment utilisable au sortir de la bote.
ottima pialla, con dovuto set-up
Avevo bisogno di una buona pialla per sostituire una 4 economica. Di altre misure ho Lie Nielsen, ma ora sono quasi introvabili e mi incuriosiva questa edizione della Stanley che ripropone pialle di antico fasto ad un prezzo decisamente pi contenuto dei top di gamma. Beh, non al loro livello, ma si avvicina.
Out of the box, la lama taglicchia. Dopo mezz’ora di lavoro, l’ho portata a filo.
La suola praticamente perfetta, non necessit di lappatura, forse 5 minuti. Squadro ok.
Dopo poco lavoro si ottengono trucioli trasparenti. Buona la fluidit dei meccanismi.
Peccato che di questa serie ci sia solo la 62.
buen cepillo
Este es el mejor cepillo Stanley que he tenido, nada que ver con los de serie, este viene perfectamente reglado, no requiere intervenciones para usarse, su ajuste es bastante sencillo y queda bien fijado. Tiene un buen peso y una cuchilla gruesa bien afilada, sienta bien y no vibra. Se consiguen muy buenos resultados con este cepillo, yo que estaba acostumbrado a los de batalla estoy que me salgo… va muy bien.

Lo primero que vi ya es habitual en Amazon.es, alguien lo haba devuelto y yo lo pago por estrenar…
Puede que fuera porqu la empuadura tenia un poco de juego, o por el ajuste de la cuchilla tipo Norris muy mal graduado de fbrica y con holgura no premium. Despus de pelearme un poco con el bicho y probarlo me quedo mas tranquilo, va perfecto, corta como un demonio, ni los nudos son problema.

i am very happy with this No 4. perfectly flat sole, solidly built. adjustable mouth is a very nice feature. note it has a Norris-style adjustment – to me this is not a put-off but i know some won’t like it. be sure to scrape/sand off the varnish from the totes and coat with your oil of choice (BLO in my case) for added comfort. the front tote did come loose with time, but this is easy enough to fix.

Era da un po’ che gli facevo il filo, dopo aver letto recensioni qui e la e visto un po’ di video mi sono deciso, devo dire che la pialla si presenta molto bene, buono l’imballo, doppio cartone oltre la scatola originale, e carta oleata a proteggerla dalla ruggine, tutte le parti meccaniche sono ben oleate e mi arrivata a casa senza un punto di ruggine, la suola e rettificata di fino, lavorata bene a macchina anche la sede della lama, belli i pomelli in ottone lucidato e i manici in ciliegio, la lama sembra ottima, un acciaio A2 di notevole spessore che sembra gi ben rettificata e affilata di fabbrica, ho controllato la planarit della suola con una riga di precisione e sembra molto buona, anche la parte della bocca regolabile e lavorata bene, scorre con movimenti fluidi ed perfettamente a filo con la suola, ho fatto una prova al volo cos come usciva dalla scatola, regolando solo la lama e devo dire che quei trucioli si commentano da soli, ora veniamo alla nota negativa, i fianchi non sono perfettamente il squadro con la suola, di pochissimo, un capello, ininfluente per la maggior parte delle lavorazioni, ma se dovesse venire usata per una shooting board ecco che li qualche problema potrebbero darlo, da qui le mie 4 stelle, ovviamente la pialla consigliatissima per l’ottimo rapporto qualit prezzo, in giro non si trovano molte low angle e le pi blasonate Veritas viaggiano al doppio del prezzo.

The balance is a bit different compared to standard jack plane but i am sure will get used to it in no time.
Base is flat, sides are square, super easy to setup and comes with an awesome A2 steel blade already sharp out of the box.

A few of those people who bought this plane made similar observations - that this plane was an exception to the generally low quality of Stanley planes these days. I was also very pleasantly surprised at the performance of the Jack Plane. There wasn't much to do before getting on with it - take it apart and wipe it down, reassemble and make some adjustments. Sweet! Sole was flat and everything sat together as it should. Very satisfying to work with. For the price its very good value.

Good value and excellent tool
his is the second new plane I have found that can be used straight out of the box, No need to sharpen or flatten the bottom or blade. Used it straight from the box and it worked well. No need to pay twice the price for those expensive planes and then pay 90 to have them ‘fettled’ to be able to use.

Verbesserungsvorschlag: Fhrungsrille ( Nut und Feder ) fr das Messer damit dieses immer gerade/plan zur Hobelsohle steht.
Habe mir bei dieser Hobelart erhofft die Tiefe und Paralellitt leichter einstellen zu knnen.

Die Bewertungen fr den Sweatheart fallen ja sehr unterschiedlich aus, da ich aber im Juni 2021 kein anderes hochwertiges Exemplare eines 62er Jack von Veritas, Lie Nielsen und Co. kurzfristig bekommen konnte, hab ich fr ca. 160 Euro mal den Versuch gewagt.
Und ich war positiv berrascht. Mein Exemplar ist sehr gut verarbeitet, die Seitenteile stehen im Winkel, das Messer ist anstndig und nahezu gebrauchsfertig. Einzig die beworbenen Kirschgriffe stimmen nicht. Die sind aus gebeizter Buche. Nicht schlimm fr den Gebrauch, aber halt nicht richtig deklariert. Ich denke man wird mit dem Teil lange Spa haben. Lediglich der Keil bzw. Lever Cap ist aus Alu. Da bin ich mir nicht sicher ob der auch die 100 Jahre schafft, beim Rest bin ich mir sehr sicher. Der Mechanismus fr die Maulverstellung ist leichtgngig, hat einen groen Bereich und luft absolut przise und mit sehr geringen Toleranzen. Lediglich einen Anschlagsbegrenzer zum Messer knnte man vermissen (fr mich aber nicht wichtig, muss man ein wenig aufpassen). Schnes Produkt fr einen angemessenen Preis und top Lieferung von Amazon wieder mal.
Ein sehr schönes Werkzeug
Ich war sehr berrascht, wie gut der Hbel aus der Packung funktioniert. Zudem ist der Hobel sehr gut und fein einstellbar und zwischendurch kurz sauber zu machen durch das einfach verstellbares Hobelmaul. Ich bin wirklich begeistert von diesem Hobel.

Pialla molto belle e funzionale
Consegna precisa (come al solito) imballo integro. Documentazione completa. Dopo un primo settaggio eseguito una prova di rettifica su di una tavola: strumento ben bilanciato con un peso che ne facilita l’uso, si lavora bene e con un buon risultato. Rifinito molto bene, coltello buono (con un affilatura pi fine penso ci saranno prestazioni migliori). Ottimo strumento. Lo consiglio come prima pialla da avere in laboratorio.

si presenta molto meglio di quello che suola rettificata male pressa lama in plastica assurdo pre un prodotto che fare sempre lavori gravosi e ancora lama con il filo da taglio irregolare meglio una veritas .saluti Giuseppe

Guter Hobel zum guten Preis
Nachdem es zu diesem Hobel doch recht wiedersprchliche Rezessionen gibt, habe ich lange gezgert einen zu bestellen.
Als er dann zu einem sehr guten Preis angeboten wurde, habe ich zugeschlagen.
Ich habe es nicht bereut.
Der Hobel kam sehr gut verpackt an. Die Bilder zeigen das Hobeleisen und die Hobelsohle im Auslieferungszustand. Das Hobeleisen war absolut scharf, so dass sich feinste Spne auf Kirsche abnehmen lieen.
Das Eisen ist zudem sehr dick (ber 4mm).
Die Hobelsohle ist plan und die Wangen stehen im rechten Winkel zu dieser.
Das Hobeleisen liegt gerade im Hobel und die Hobelmaulverstellung arbeitet einwandfrei.
Entweder hat Stanley die Qualittskontrolle verbessert, oder ich habe einfach nur Glck gehabt.
Vor einem halben Jahr habe ich mir den Stanley Sweetheart No 4 gekauft, der ebenfalls absolut top ist.
Ich kann den Hobel auf jeden Fall empfehlen.

Oltre ad essere un oggetto molto bello anche perfetta nel suo ruolo. Facilmente regolabile.
Affordable, quality tool
If you need to plane end grain, but don’t want to spend crazy money on a plane to do so, this is what you’re after. It’s absolutely NOT a cheap substitute, and works a treat. Might one than costs 2, 3 or even 4 times as much do a slightly better job? Maybe, but at the end of the day, my planed end grain looks the same as theirs.

Ottimo strumento, perfettamente in squadro. Ferro e controferro vanno “inizializzati” ma poca roba, dopo piallare diventa davvero divertente.
Ich bin überzeugt!
Flachwinkelhobel sind dafr bekannt die schwierigsten Situationen zu meistern. Je nach Winkel des Bettes und Winkel der Schneide. Knnen ste, Stirn / Hirnholz fast Problemlos Bearbeitet werden.
Da ich bereits zwei Flachwinkelhobel besitze und diese zu meinen treuen Begleitern wurden. Ein Projekt das mir sehr am Herzen liegt, gerade zu nach einer Bearbeitung mit einem Flachwinkelhobel schreit, ansteht. War die berlegung nicht weit einen FlachwinkelBANKhobel anzuschaffen. Bei den Preisen gert man natrlich in das schlucken. Es geht los bei 160 Euro ( der hier Vorgestellte; dazu gibt es am Ende eine Anmerkung ) dann geht es weiter bei 200 dann ein Sprung auf 300 und bis nach oben ist natrlich keine Grenze.
Da ich bereits Hobel der Firma Stanley, in Deutschland wohl bekannter unter den Namen Black & Decker, besitze. Lag der Griff zum Stanley Nr. 62 / No. 62 nicht weit. Dazu war es auch noch der gnstigste.

Très bel obje
Nouvel amateur dans le travail du bois, en prparation de ma retraite, j’ai t surpris par la masse de l’engin, mme si d’autres l’avait dj mentionn. Un bien bel objet, fait pour durer. La semelle est bien plate mais seul un flanc est parfaitement d’querre. Si un jour j’ai recaler, je prendrai le bon ct. Mais ce n’est pas l’utilisation premire que j’en ferai. Parfaitement utilisable sorti de la bote. Par contre je voulais racheter un fer pour avoir 2 utilisations diffrentes, pas trouv o s’en procurer un !

All the adjustments are easy and reasonably precise. I planed a plank of Tasmanian Oak which had a rough edge and within just a dozen passes it was perfectly straight and ridiculously smooth. Like fine silk. These observation are only a few hours of getting and using it. I’m looking forward to what it’s like in a week or two.

I dont like how loose the Norris adapter for moving the blade in and out and to skew the blade left or right and it can move if you hit a knot while in use

Wenn ich jetzt schreiben wollte, was ich alles gut finde an dem Hobel, wrde hier eine Wand aus Buchstaben stehen. Mein einziger Kritikpunkt, ist dass das Gewinde zum vor und zurckschieben der Klinge beim “Richtungswechsel” einen betrchtlichen Leerlauf hat, das einstellen ist zwar kinderleicht aber ich brauche aktuell noch fast so lange wie mit einem europischen Hobel/Hammer, mageblich durch dieses Gewinde.
Fr mich das Sahnehubchen: Das hbsche Teil kommt so verdammt scharf angeliefert, sogar mit Mikrofase(!) – einfach irre. Ich arbeite mit Japanischen Wassersteinen und behaupte von mir das Schleifen nahezu gemeistert zu haben, aber an dieses Ergebnis komme noch ich nicht ran. Keine Chance.

Es mi primer cepillo y he quedado sper encantado, tras leer un montn de comentarios tena dudas de si llegara en buenas condiciones o de calidad, pero todo lo contrario todo a escuadra y con buen afilado. Sin hacer ningn ajuste y sin experiencia en cepillado llenando la caja de Amazon de virutas de todo tipo de tamao. Lo recomiendo sin ninguna duda para cualquier novato que desee empezar sin tener que romperse la cabeza nivelando la suela. Si alguien recibe uno en mal estado que lo devuelva y pida otro porque los hay buenos. No pongo cinco estrellas porque no he probado otros cepillos que se suponen de mejor calidad.
I unpacked the plane and was impressed by the condition of the packaging and the contents inside. Plane is clean, sharp and square right out of the box.
The brass is polished bright and the paint is flawless. The iron is has a nearly mirror polish right out of the box. I have purchased sweetheart chisels in the past and now this sweetheart plane. They are great quality, modern tools that hold an edge. You won’t be disappointed either.

This is a great tool. The craftsmanship is excellent for a product on way higher price. It works great and cuts very smooth out of the box. It is heavy and feels good cutting across end grain hardwoods. I am very happy with it and I am glad I did not spend the high price of other models. It does not look that it was made in Gina(China) neither.
Buon prodotto in base alla fascia di prezzo. Pochi interventi di aggiustaggio sopratutto per pulizia spigoli, lucidatura controferro e suola. Ferro in A2 di facile affilatura che tiene abbastanza a lungo (tavolo da 4,0 x 1,1 in cedro irregolare e verniciato prima di riaffilare). Con poca cera microcristallina “corre” che un piacere e aiuta spalle e braccia nell’uso prolungato. Per chi viene da pialle in legno ci vuole un p di tempo per prenderci mano.

Generell gut, nur kein Kirschholz
Nachdem ich das Eisen abgezogen hatte und die Klappe richtig eingestellt habe, ist das schon ein sehr guter Hobel. Das Gewicht muss man mgen, mich strt es nicht, das einzige was mich persnlich wirklich strt ist, warum behauptet wird, dass es Kirschholz ist, wenn es sich offensichtlich um Buche auf Kirsche gebeizt handelt, deswegen einen Stern abzug. Prinzipiell ist Buche sowieso hrter, aber mich strt, dass berall Kirsche steht, obwohl das einfach nicht richtig ist.
Wie er sich auf lngere Zeit macht, muss sich noch herausstellen.. bin aber im Groen und Ganzen zufrieden.

Lame angle faible en acier A2 paisse mais plus difficile affuter sans une pierre bien adapte. Rglage de la lumire est facile mais celui du gauchissement (inclinaison de la lame latralement) n’est pas trs efficace. Trs bon produit pour le dbutant comme pour l’amateur averti.

Better than the Stanley plane at the big green shed, for around the same price. Shipped from UK, but shipping was very quick, as fast as some local. The plane itself is reasonably sharp out of the box. It has a different set up to the traditional No 4, which is better. Has a couple of really good features such as adjustable mouth etc. Feels really good in the hand and easy to use. A great plane that will last a lifetime.

Substantial plane. Beautifully milled body but the edges were not deburred/chamfered. As a result in my rush to try it out I discovered the hard way that the unfinished edges, even some with a black finish, were as sharp as the blade and so, I sliced my little finger on the body of the plane. I filed all the edges to avoid further self mutilation.
In use the plane produced beautiful consistent shavings straight away.
The blade adjustment requires the cap to be unscrewed slightly before the combined depth angle adjuster can be moved. The cap then needs to be tightened again which is a bit of a faff compared with Bailey style planes. The adjustable throat is a joy, unscrew the front knob, slide the adjuster lever to set throat size and tighten knob.
The low profile keeps the centre of gravity low so the plane feels very stable.

Compr este artculo pues tena ganas de un cepillo de ngulo bajo. Una vez desembalado y probado, no tengo nada ms que valoraciones positivas. Afilado y con un buen acabado. Robusto y pesado.
Respecto a la cua de aluminio que tanto da que hablar, yo, en principio, no encuentro inconveniente si el apretado del tornillo es entre escaso y justo. Sujeta bien y cepilla perfectamente. Su riesgo de deterioro disminuye haciendo tal apretado (aunque, me da la sensacin, de que el aluminio es del tipo reforzado para poder resistir grandes presiones -los hay ya as en muchos sectores de la industria-).
Insisto; muy satisfecho con la compra y unos resultado excelentes en las primeras pruebas.
Seit 2 Jahren im Einsatz. Hier meine subjektive Einschtzung:
Die Maulverstellung ist top, die Messerverstellung auch, sehr fein justierbar, Spiel bauartbedingt bei der Messerverstellung ca. 1,5-2 Umdrehung noch als gut bewertbar, die Rndelschraube knnte nen Ticken grer sein. (Jammern auf hohem Niveau, ist kein Lee Nielsen)
Die Klappe ist zwar nur aus Alu, trotzdem sehr stabil. Ich finde es sogar besser, da der Hobel so nen Ticken leichter ist. Wer mal lnger mit Metalhobel gearbeitet hat wei was ich meine, da haben die deutschen aus Weibuche doch so ihre Berechtigung. Ich habe noch eine groe Raubank, ist gewichtsmig bedeutend leichter. Ich schweife ab…
Grundflche ist absolut plan, mit einem 300er Haarlineal geprft, keine Ungleichheiten.
Seiten sind absolut im Rechten Winkel zur Grundflche (zum Bestoen wichtig)
Einziges Manko war der Griff, er war los, hier musste die Schraube gekrzt und der Sitz leicht nachgearbeitet werden.
Die Qualitt der Gehobelten Flchen ist selbst bei schwierigem Faserverlauf mit Asteinschlssen einfach top, ggf. einen Tropfen Spiritus auf die Flchen geben.
Quer zur Faser ist er ebenfalls, bedingt durch den Flachwinkel meiner Raubank weit berlegen. Die Bestossenen Flchen sind perfekt.
Das Messer ist sehr standfest und nicht sprde selbst bei Leim. Bei mir steht das Messer, entgegen anderer Bewertungen, auch nicht schief, es kann aber durch die Lateralverstellung noch ordentlich verstellt werden. Vielleicht sind die Guss-Chargen so unterschiedlich…allerdings ist der Sitz Gefrst, so dass es am Guss nicht liegen kann.
Egal, meiner ist perfekt. Messer sind auf 25 Grad geschliffen, habe ich so gelassen, da das Verhltnis aus Verschlei und Oberflchengte so hervorragend funktioniert. Kleine 2Grad Mikrofase habe ich angeschliffen, so geht das Nachschleifen fix. (Neue Fase anlegen ist bei dem 4mm Messer eine Qual, knppelhart, auerdem auch gut Angelassen” nach dem Hrten und somit zh und nicht sprde.
In meinen Augen braucht es keinen LeeNielsen oder Veritas zum 3-fachen Preis.
Er ist auch nicht so billig wie der Blockhobel verarbeitet, ganz andere Liga! (Der 9,x-er ist einfach grottenschlecht gefertigt)
Die Eisen sind hervorragend, standfest und sehr gut scharf-schleifbar. Die erzeugte Oberflchengte einwandfrei auch bei schwierigem
Faserverlauf. Einzig die kleine Rndelschraube zur Messerverstellung knnte Grer sein.
Wrde ich zum Preis von damaligen 120,- wieder kaufen. Alles dadrber aber nicht
1 Stern muss ich abziehen, seit 2 Jahren sind keine Ersatzmesser lieferbar, nirgendwo. Ich hab welche bei Dick bzw. Dictum bestellt, sobald ich wei ob sie passen, ergnze ich es hier.
Ergnzung: das Messer von Dictum kann man bedingt Einsetzen. (Siehe Bilder, geht aber)
Der Nachteil hier ist
1. Das Lochbild 5mm statt 6,2
2. Die Strke von 3 statt 4mm und
3. Die Breite 51mm statt 49,5
Zu 1. das 1. Loch muss auf min 6.2 mm aufgebohrt werden. (Ich habe es auf 6.5mm an der Stnderbohrmaschine gemacht) Der Bereich lsst sich trotz der hohen Hrte trotzdem noch gut aufbohren. Das neue Loch sitzt sehr weit hinter dem alten, der Verstellbereich reicht trotzdem gerade so aus
Zu. 2. Dadurch, dass das Messer nur 3mm hat, lsst sich die Klappe nicht fest fixieren. Hier hilft nur eine 6er Unterlegscheibe (Siehe Bild, dann kann die Klappe auch festgestellt werden)
Zu 3. Das Messer von Dictum hat 51mm Breite, die O-Messer 49,5mm. Es muss im vorderen Bereich je ca. ein halber bis Dreiviertel Millimeter abgeschliffen werden. Mit einer Feile wird es nichts, zu hart vorne (denke induktivgehrtet).
Alle Schrauben sind Zoll, also mal eben austauschen und gegen andere ersetzen geht hier nicht.
Noch ein Nachteil, die Rndelschraube zur Messerverstellung ist nicht aus einem Stck gefertigt, sondern Gewindebolzen+Rndelmutter. Diese sind nur mittels Schraubenkleber verbunden, das ist Mist da keine richtige Formschlssige Verbindung vorhanden ist (mittels Stift, verltet oder verschweit o..) Der Kleber hlt nicht viel ausdie Rndelmutter lst sich.
