All in all I am pleased with the purchase. My previous compressor would make me jump when it exploded into life. This device is so much better. It doesn’t feel terribly powerful – hence the (probably unfair) deletion of one star and its smallish tank means it switches on regularly during constant use. But I am pleased with it. I use it much more than its predecessor and enjoy its portability.

I had a Draper compressor but that ended in disaster because it was so loud I tried building a soundproofing box. However I had not banked on the heat generated and my lackluster attempt at air extraction resulted in melted parts.

Draper in the bin. You loud oaf.

This Stanley compressor is so ‘quiet’ it’s unreal. It’s louder than my hobbyist compressor but compared to the Draper it’s as quiet as a gnat’s fart.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis compressor replaced my worn out 24L noisy old unit.
Whilst the 6L tank is small, the compressor does kick in and out very quickly to maintain the pressure and flow CFM.
This is smaller than most compressors of a similar type due to that smaller tank, but it’s also MUCH quieter. Realistically its actually quieter than the DB rating suggests, as unlike most compressors of a similar type, this sits on dampening rubber feet instead of hard wheels and metal feet. You’ll definitely not be disturbing neighbours, or creating huge noise reverb in your garden shed or garage with this one!
The carry handle works only for those more able, as it’s lighter than many but not a light weight unit.
A slight issue of the design is the plastic cover shroud is not very well thought out. If you need to change airline fitting sizes getting a spanner on the fitting can be tricky.
A handy compressor ideal for general purpose jobs, including paint spraying.
Overall a fantastic compressor and well worth winning Best Buy compressor of 2022 in the reviews I read.

One person can carry it and its pleasingly well made. Great for powering a nail gun where you need to move round a job

Was pleased with the product when it arrived. It came on time and at a good price. Unfortunately that’s now not the case. I purchased the compressor thinking it was a Stanley compressor. ITS NOT. it’s made by a company in china with a license to manufacture Stanley compressors. I’ve since damaged the said compressor and wish to purchase a replacement part. I’ve found the manufacturer, emailed them but can not get a reply. Stanley won’t sell me a replacement part as it’s not one of there compressors. So I’m left with a damaged compressor. With parts I can’t replace.
    NOT HAPPY

Did a bit of research before taking the plunge to buy my first compressor. Needed something to run nail guns and staplers having not been happy with the electric varieties. The Stanley DST fits comfortably under my workbench and is indeed as quiet as promised. One of the features that persuaded me over a similar priced Hyundai was the adjustable air pressure, something that I find really useful in getting the right depth when shooting brads and staples.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersEasy to pick up and move as required since it’s relatively compact and light. When running the unit is very quiet. There are no accessories with it so would advise buying the accessory pack which includes a reasonable length of pre-wound pipe.
Instructions are easy to follow and thus far has done everything I need it for.

I live in a flat and keeping the noise down as a mast and this does it in leaps and bounds and helps me while I’m developing my bath bomb business for my bath bomb press

Very low noise level with suitable air displacement to run an upholstery staple gun and swap to a frame gun 18 gauge with no problem at all. Used daily in customer’s homes.

A little on the heavy side but is manageable. It is extremely quiet and ideal for small jobs around the home. Bought originally to assist with draining down a caravan for the winter but will also be useful also for tyres and cleaning down equipment.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersLovely little compressor, so quiet, it sits under my workshop bench, I can still hear the radio when the compressor is running. I have it set for just two bar pressure and without the airline connected it holds that pressure for as long as needed!
