Bit wobbly going up them but very lightweight and easy to use. Did the job without dying
Simple to use, ok it’s a telescopic ladder so it’s not as sturdy as a normal ladder but I felt perfectly safe on first use. Having read reviews about other similar ladders acting like a guillotine I was wary about lowering it, but the mechanism works perfectly. Each step closes to within a couple of inches then you let down the next step below to close the one above. Very happy with purchase and just found out I got it cheaper than the versions in the major DIY stores. Happier still!
I bought these so I can utilise my loft space and free up some room in my bungalow.
Also, (like a lot of us) I get a rodent critter taking up residence occasionally so now I can set traps etc quite easily and check for any activity regularly without having to bother anyone.
It might be worth mentioning that I’m an older (petite/frail even) female and had absolutely no problems carrying, extending or retracting the ladder.
I felt safe using them too – no wobbling … they’re very sturdy.
Don’t get me wrong – they are a bit a weighty for the less able bodied if you’d have to carry them any distance – fortunately because of their compact size I can keep mine in an airing cupboard next to the loft.
I did wonder prior to purchasing if I might need the ones with the stability bar (for the same price) but I decided they looked a bit more industrial for my light use so I stuck with the regular ones – I’m not sure the bar would have made a difference.
My floor are laminate and the ladder didn’t budge at all.
The size is great – I almost bought the 2.6 size but I thought if I buy the longer ones (3.2) I could extend them fully and climb right into the loft before stepping off … that works as planned for me and is as easy as climbing stairs.
The only dilemma I didn’t account for is how to actually carry stuff up and down there with no hands
Coming down is easy enough too.
With all the excess ladder protruding into loft it’s easy to step on and slowly make my way down – nerve wrecking but easy.
I read (and being accident prone) was very worried about the ‘finger trapping’ possibility – it’s unlikely to ever happen if you don’t get distracted … and religiously keep your fingers curled round the side poles … it only takes a slight push of each button on both sides of each rung to collapse it – no fingers needed … only thumbs.
I’m very pleased with my purchase and would happily recommend.
They are a tad expensive for something that may only get used once in a blue moon, but in saying that I just know I’ll be glad to have them when I do need them – peace of mind.
Quite a marvellous improvement really on what I thought I’d need to buy (and store) which was a large cumbersome ladder!
No doubt my Son will just HAVE to borrow them and for that occasion they will fit easily into the boot of his car.
Easy to carry about as I use them for my garage loft and house loft , always feel safe and sturdy and go to any height I’d need them for.
This ladder is sturdy once erected. I use it for getting into my loft. It was much cheaper than a fixed ladder which my thin ceiling would not have accommodated in any case. It collapses down (quite noisily!) to less than 1m high and can live unobtrusively behind the bedroom door when not in use. I can’t imagine life without it!

Done it all with these. I weigh just under 100kg and had no problem with them at all, they feel really sturdy.
Extending and retracting is a breeze. Absolutely love these ladders, can definitely recommend.

Although not as light as I expected, but due to them being easy to manoeuvre they are good
Structure of the ladder push up and pull down absolutely easy to use even for a conservory roof clean I just wanted something solid and made well and this does not disappoint in any way
Great ladders but caution required when closing ladders keep fingers well clear as they drop very fast if not quick enough fingers get caught in ladder rungs.

A compact light yet sturdy ladder that will be ideal for internal use, and accessing the loft space. Smooth to extend and retract. There is a little give when using it, but nothing to write home about.

I’ve found it does flex quite alot and I’m still gaining trust in them but they haven’t given way yet! I’ve been using them to gain access to my garage roof space and do the job great.
Reading other reviews and being totally aware not to trap my fingers I still managed to smash my thumb! So watch out. Lesson learnt, and haven’t done it since.

I bought this ladder because my friend had one and it’s so easy to use and store due to its design.
There is a little bit of flex within the ladder but it can hold my weight very well.
These ladders are very compact and light weight, I struggle to use mine as I had to have the taller ladders and I worry about them trapping my fingers however the smaller ladders I purchased for my parents and I have no issues with using these.
