Yes, this support is detachable.
Can I paint or stain the bed frame?
You don’t have to, most people like the natural modern finish. However you can use easily paint or stain to match existing furniture. There are no chemicals or treatments in this timber.
Can this bed be used by adults?
Yes, this is a heavy duty bunk bed, tested to 40 stone so can be used by adults. The side rails and base slats have been upgraded to take this extra weight.
How sturdy is this bed frame?
The corner posts are 60mm thick, children’s beds are normally only 40mm thick. This makes for a sturdy bed frame.
I have a wooden floor, will this bed be OK?
Wooden floors cause any furniture, including beds to move. For this reason we recommend fixing non slip pads under each corner post, this prevents movement.

The bed was delivered SO FAST about 4 days before the estimated delivery date, amazing!
The bed itself looked to me an ugly wood shade but in real life it’s quite light and nice. The bed is very very strong and the slats are solid soliiiiid wood. I thought it would be weak and fragile since it’s smaller but nope the bed is solid as hell! Overall I’m really happy with the bed and it fit in my room perfectly. BUT I have to say after assembling and measuring the bed IT IS NOT 5″9 it came to only 5″6. But I am not complaining about this because it fit my room exactly right and if it actually was 5″9 it wouldn’t have worked so I’m thrilled for the inaccuracy of the measurement lol. Just bear it in mind if You are buying for a specific space and size.

Solid bed. It took a bit of effort to build as not experts but it is a superb bed. Needed the shorty one for a small space for grand daughter, she loves it. Large space under it to store stuff as well.

Much sturdier than they look online. Easy to assemble. Lovely little bed. My only issue is that from the very top outer edge to the very bottom outer edge only measures 5’7″ not 5’9″, so the mattress area is only 160cm x 75cm …. I had to buy a child’s junior bed/cot bed mattress (160 x 70) to fit. However, that was not that big an issue and we are very happy with the end result. We bought two and have left them untreated as they look great as they are.

lovely bed but the shorty mattress I bought for it overhangs the end by about 3 inches ! Now struggling to find a mattressto fit.
Amazing sturdy bed. My 3 year old loves it! Great customer service and when one piece was slightly too short they sent us a new piece the next day. Its very hard to find the right size mattress though.
