Needed to change the plug to EU. Service was fast and fixed the issue.

My lockdown project of an outdoor bar/entertainment area has been calling out for better lighting. I’ve used various solar options to differing degrees of success, I was inspired by a Facebook post and went on the hunt for these. My covered area is approx 4.4 x 4.6M, with a little maths I thought the 96 ft should work out ok, it’s effectively 6 X 5 metre lengths of lighting, fifteen bulbs x 2 with spacing of about 1M between bulbs. I purchased a set of black hooks at the same time. Delivery was spot on as always and I set about discovering what was in the box. This comes as 2 complete sets, two sets of 15 bulbs plus 2 spare, two 15M rubber coated cables with e27 sockets which have some flexibility, two UK plugs with approx 30cm of cable fitted with the connector at the other end. I did away with one of those and daisy chained the cables together to form one long festoon type cable. Once hooks were in place I hung the cable, it comes with molded eyes at every fitting, the bulbs screw in with no issues and I plugged the whole thing in and everything worked. At first during daylight I thought they would be quite dim but at night you can see they are exactly what I was after, they are bright enough that my whole area is lit, it’s great while I’m working on the bar, it may be too much for a party but that said I think it’s brilliant. I cannot fault the set, while I thought they were a bit expensive ultimately I have what I need and they work very well. Be mindful that there is no switch on the lights and the plug lead is very short, I have since ordered a 3m cable to avoid having to put a socket in the roof rafters. As for weatherproofing they’re under cover but they do seem to be well made and fully weatherproof they are IP65 rated so should be more than adequate. One other note is that they do not act like Christmas lights, I mean that if one bulb is out the rest do not go out, and that regardless of how many bulbs are in they do not dim or get brighter, this is the same for when connecting sets together, the instructions say you could have forty sets together, I don’t know if that’s a good idea though.

After searching for decent lights these are the real deal. Easy to install and everything came in one box. They are perfect for the outside and you can extend them when ever you want. Excellent purchase would not hesitate to buy again.

Just the right amount of light for an evening outdoors. Solid build and nice bulbs. Very good.

Easy to install and to join the two sets together. The combined set of lights stretch across both sides and back of the garden and provide lots of light but they are not overly bright, which is good. Only time will tell how weatherproof they are but so far, so good

Quick delivery. Instructions very self explanatory. Suggest start install from the end then route back to the power source. 30m of lights is a lot longer than you realise and in addition to the deck area we bought these for, they carry on along the side of the garage, the front of the garage, then into the garage to connect to the mains. The cabling is heavy duty and its feels very durable. There was one dead bulb, but it does come with two spares. Used a combination of cable ties and cable clips to run along the fences and in the trees. As dusk falls, the lights bring real vintage feel to the area and are perfect for summer evenings. Well worth the money, recommended.

Iv been pulling my hair out for weeks trying to find a set that connect to my existing lights which are no longer available to buy on Amozon. After trying 3 seperate sellers on Amozon i have finally found these that have been delivered way earlier than stated. I have yet to put them up with my other set but i quickly tested the product and the bulb worked. Lights look great. I’ve connected three sets and they just work. Garden looks great at night!

Only had them up for a few days however impressed with the quality and so far very happy. I will look to update in a month.

I used these to replace some old fairy lights I had running along the fence of my garden.
They’re bright enough to illuminate the majority of my garden on a night, so far I have no complaints about them.

Build quality looks great, brightness is excellent, easy to install. I will be ordering more in due course

Initially, 59.99 seemed to be quite costly for two of these string light sets. However they were cheaper than the apparently similar BRTLX brand, also available through Amazon. My only disappointment was that the Svater brand was not available in singles, as I expected to use 3 x 15m sections.
The lights arrived as scheduled (Amazon Prime). There were two broken lamps in one of the boxes, but Svater do include 2 spare bulbs per pack of 2 string lights. Hopefully, Svater will send two bulb replacements, in keeping with their SATISFACTION GUARANTEED WARRANTY.
The cable and mouldings are all very solid. The “T” shaped connections are in hard rubber and each hanging hole is 5.5mm diameter. It may not be wise to rely on mounting with many of the holes as the rubber material will probably degrade over time. They were easy enough to hang in the trees. We tie-wrapped them on, mostly direct to the cable.
The lamp holders are made of a moderately hard rubber and seal well to the bulbs. The lamp bases are E27 so any commonly compatible bulb could be fitted.
The bulbs themselves are 2W LED and give out about 150 lumens. This is double the brightness of the other similar string lights . The end result is really good. We fitted a length of 45m (3 x 15m) along a church graveyard path that was pitch black before. Now it is lit better than the local street lights and on only a 90W power budget.
The bulbs are of quite thin glass but we didn’t break any when screwing them in.
UK and EU power cords are provided for each string light set. i.e. 4 power cords per box. The power cords are about 50cm long. I cut the EU plug off one and crimped/heatshrinked it to a long 2 core power extension cable.
One reviewer had complained that the power connection had come apart under tension. Actually, the connections are quite well designed to be weatherproof. They are all supplied with threaded plastic screw caps. The female caps are of hard plastic but the male plugs are of a medium hard rubber. This is so that a flexible seal is created in the mated plug and socket. They do fit very well. However, based on that latter review, I put tie-wraps at each end of the strain reliefs with a longer tie-wrap in between so that all cable tension was taken in the tie-wraps, not on the actual joint. I could imagine that if the joint was under a lot of tension, the rubber thread could get pulled out.
I noticed that 1 reviewer had complained about there being no earth connection. Of course not. It’s all double insulated (just like garden electrical power tools) so an earth connection would be pointless.
The warranty is only 1 year but I thought that for the combination of features, particularly the 2W LED lamps, these were worth a punt. I really hope they last a long time.
My final disappointment was this morning when I saw that Amazon had reduced the price to 47.99. That makes these lights a bargain.

I love these outdoor lights, they really are fantastic and exceeded my expectations. We’ve got quite a long garden and we’ve recently had a new 1m high stock-proof fence installed along both sides to prevent our dog from squeezing through the hedges, and it gave me the idea to attach some garden lights along it and further enhance the garden. I looked at quite a few, and these particular ones stood out. While they are amongst the most expensive ones I looked at, they offered several benefits. Being LED they are going to proved lower running costs, and the bulbs are replaceable. They also have the facility to daisy chain them, so gives you the option to either have the two chains of lights separate or in one long run. I’ve chosen one long run.

Inside the box you’ll find the two long lengths of cabling and light fittings. The bulbs come in some foam packing for you to fit yourself, which takes only a couple of minutes. At one end of the cable is a fitting to connect the three pin UK plug to, or to connect to the other end of the second cable to create the daisy-chain. Putting it all together took me about five minutes, including wrapping it around my wire fence.

The bulbs give off a surprisingly bright light, illuminating much of my garden in a way I wasn’t expecting. They’ve so far been flicker free and look spectacular. They pay-off for me has come by making them voice controlled by our Amazon Alexa set-up. I’ve done this by plugging them into a TP-Link smart socket contained within a Masterplug IP54 weatherproof electric box (available on Amazon also), which then connects to a Masterplug IP66 outdoor socket (yep, Amazon too). Now, I can say “Alexa, turn on the garden lights” and boom, there it is. The landing lights come on. I’ve got them linked to a number of other routines as well.

They really have exceeded my expectations so, despite the higher cost, I can thoroughly recommend them.

We have an industrial theme in our decor so always looking for bits to add to the effect. I was worried these were a bit too costly but you can certainly see why when you feel the weight & quality of them! Absolutely incredible. Comes with 2 spare bulbs too which is handy. Has both UK & EU plugs & adapters compatible to string a few sets together or to other outdoor lights. I have 2 sets together that will go entirely round the garden fence. They are beautiful. I’ve used fence staples to hang to keep them sturdy in bad weather, needs to be something substantial as they are quite weighty! Really nice

Very good bright lights, what seems a very good quality wire and attachments. easy to set up and put together. I bought the double pack which you need to link the 2 sets together or have as 2 separate lighting systems. I will soon be buying more packs to go further round the garden. Each light fitting also has a hole which can be used to put a screw, nail or hook in to hang up.

CONS: The lead from the plug to the first light could do with being an extra meter or 2 as fairly short.

Annoyed as the reviews and product spec say 230v and people have stated that theirs came with a Uk plug but as you can see in the pictures and manual both plugs are EU and max voltage states 120vac. Will have to return unfortunately unless the seller can confirm that this product can take 230v and doesn’t require a transformer.

Following on form the above I contacted the seller directly who subsequently apologised for their warehouse mistake that they confirmed (shipped US item instead of UK), they then went on to send out a UK replacement set, with 8 extra spare bulbs and another smaller version of their lights. I have installed the new set and am extremely happy.

I bought these lights for when I put up my pergola. I wanted some lights that were weatherproof and cheap to run and these lights fitted my brief.
The lights arrived well packaged with no breakages and also included two spare bulbs. With 30 sockets and bulbs that are 2w led this equates to 60w in total, so they are very energy efficient.
The wiring loom is well made and sturdy so should have a long life. As these are mains powered they should not be run with empty sockets or broken bulbs. The bulbs seal well against the sockets so should be weather proof as long as they are pointing downwards.
If you are lighting a very large area you can link up to 40 sets of 15 bulbs together.
Very pleased with my purchase.

For your money you will receive:

– Two lengths of cable, all moulded, good quality waterproof connectors (with some sort of rubber/silicone water proof rings)
– 2 sets of UK plugs (not moulded, perfect if you want to hard-wire the kit) and 2 sets of moulded EU plugs – both with a few feet of cable and the required waterproof connector
– Bulbs (no spares), all LED, all significantly brighter than I expected

Every bulb location has a tough wearing moulded T piece which includes a hoop suitable for hanging to whatever you desire.

Definitely would recommend, and would buy again if I had the need.

Love these lights, plan out where you want to hang them, plug them in and boom! Excellent light in the garden, not too bright either. Just light the garden nicely. Very pleased.

It makes my garden bright and beautiful.Very pleased with these lights that I used to light a courtyard area. They are very well made, weather-proof & easy to join two sets together.2 Pack Worth every penny(It comes with 30 bulb adaptors and about 30m long. Each led bulb is 2w and the total is 60w.) They provide a warm ambient light that creates a very nice effect, perfect for creating a nice atmosphere for a party or any other outdoor event.

These are a great product and well worth the investment. We have attached 8 sets together and they just plug into each other. They simply plug and play. They come complete with a length of lead with a plug on both ends. One is a mains plug for either UK or European the other end plugs onto the string of lights and you just screw on an end cap at the other end of the lights, at the end of the run. This makes it waterproof. Everything comes with O ring seals. Really simple to use and good quality. We have fitted them throughout the boatyard at Tonbridge and are delighted with them. Fantastic quality and easy to install. If you’re walking round the park in Tonbridge Kent you can see them all lit up after dark.
