Had the bike a week and as a deliveroo rider I have fully tested the range and can confirm that it will do 30miles however with a lot of turning of the assistance and In the 1st assistance selection. Bike came with unadjusted brakes which for some people may be an issue however is a fairly simple job. Rear kickstand is super loose so might remove and replace but it dose the job. Has nice speed btw. But be warned bike is very difficult to cycle without assistance:

Very good but you get what you pay fo

I wanted to wait a week before posting a review on this bike. Now it’s been a week of using it for work I gotta say this his a great bike easy to build from the box and the power assist is brilliant you can definitely feel the difference compared to a standard bike. Would definitely recommend brilliant bike.

Overall good – did have a missing part – as it was a warehouse item Amazon couldn’t supply the part but did offer a free return – however as it was already 90% built we decided do buy the missing part ourselves

Good quality and does what it was supposed to

Handsome looking bike solid frame.i like this bike i generally cycle about 45miles each trip and the battery lasts that with sum to spare i only use it when going up hill or taking away at a junction which this bike is great for if your looking for a electric motorbike this is not for you the battery won’t last long unless you work too.

    Solid bike.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersBike received in good time and loved the option of installment payments. As per other reviewer I previously had another bike which was also entry level and superior to this but getting this on offer meant it was virtually half the price. Battery is lesser quality than the one advertised but my commute is only 4 miles so not really a big problem for me. Bought a standard stem riser as bars were way too low (I’m 5ft 11), easy fix. Also had problems with front wheel punctures where inner tube splits at valve. Have filed in case of burrs and reinforced tube at valve but split again so next up is a new wheel. Apart from that, at this price, I’m happy with the bike as still great value for my needs, just need to get used to full pedal rotation before the assist kicks in.

I bought this ebike to replace a self built ebike and I was not disappointed with this decision. This ebike so good its driven me to ride for longer distances due to the sheer pleasure it gives.

If anyone is looking for a reasonable priced ebike with no compromises then you can go wrong with this. Highly recommended.

I’ve been sitting on the fence about buying an ebike, so I did commit and buy this Swifty bike. Well I was not dissaponted in the least. It came very well packaged and well within the delivery date given. I found it quite easy to put together and after giving the battery a booster charge I was out riding within 3 hours. It took a little getting used too with using the power control but I gave it a good run to see what the battery would do.
The first ride was about 15 miles and deliberately went up some hills, when I got home I still had 2 lights remaining. I now use it for work 11 mile round trip so it does me 2 days on a charge and there are some steep hills in the last half mile from home. The battery takes approx 3 hours to charge. Highly recommend this as a first ebike on a budget price of 699 excellent quality and value for money. I did have a problem a clicking pedal and Amazon gave me a generous part refund to get it sorted which I did and no problems any more.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThis is the second e-bike that I have owned, and it is inferior to the previous one (different brand) but was cheaper. My other one cost 850 about 5 years ago. I sold it on because I no longer needed it. Looking at that same company, a similar bike is now over 1100. Seeing this for sale at under 800 caught my interest (luckily, I kept watching and actually paid 576 – I’d say it is worth that but I’d have been disappointed at the current 810).

It took me about 20 minutes to set it up. No problems with that. Brake adjustment took another 5 minutes but nothing else needed adjusting.
It does not come with mudguards, so bear that in mind for cost comparisons.
When the battery gets to about half-power, it is significantly weaker in terms of the power available to the rider. I started feeling it get weaker after about 20 miles.
    Saddle is very hard.
    It only has 7 gears.
The tyres are rubbish. I will be changing them when I get around to it.
It looks nice compared to a lot of e-bikes..

My overall view is that this is not a great bike, and is probably not suitable for people who need it for long journeys. If you need a cheaper get-around kind of bike, and you can get it cheaper, then it is a reasonable option. I only need to commute for 4 miles each way, and it will do for that.

just got home from 1st ride on bike WOW what a difference, the pedal assist is fab and only used upto level 2 which was more than enough to get me home,no dent in battery life and was easy ish to build, took a while to calibrate front brake so wheel could fit ( only slight pain ) looking forward to going to work in morning as it is more uphill ,but i am sure bike will do it’s stuff. would recommend getting one and wish i got mine a lot earlier, even arrived a week early

I’ve no idea on what to really say but I wouldn’t a new bike and decided to go for this on pay monthly. It’s been a very decent bike to use so far and I am happy riding it but the tyres are cheap could be better I ain’t so keen in the seat it hurts your bum on long rides frame size.is okay for me but would prefer bigger frame size. I’m 6’9 and the bike seems like a medium size. Battery life seems okay wish it had more battery life to last long was out for a 4 hour ride 29 miles and it wasn’t fully charged but lasted for 3hrs 30mins on a assist 2

Forgetting the electric part for the moment you also get a really nice, good quality mountain bike. Yes it now comes with coppercell rather than Panasonic, but I have tested the range and you get a solid 25 miles on level 3. I love it. I regularly do 6 miles on it and don’t break a sweat. I’d recommend a gel seat cover of you’re not a regular cyclist as the seat was a bit hard for me.

Feels a bit cheap for a 700 bike. Seats very uncomfortable, the chain is squeaking when I pedal after about 5 rides and I can’t get rid of it no matter how much wd40 I use… I sound like deebo coming down the street!

So it does what it does but with some minor issues.

This is a great bike for the price. You get about 2 to 3 hours of battery life on full power depending on terrain and weight of rider and hills. Battery would last much longer on low or half power. Very good lower end electric bike. If you want the battery to last all day pay around 2000 + for a higher end bike .

Nice bike, easy to put together, no issues so far a month into owning it. 6 miles per day on a work commute, mostly on the road so no real roughriding, but it holds up well and is a very easy to ride especially with the electric assist.

I would very much reccomend a gel/padded cover for the saddle though, because its not all that comfortable

4 years ago I brought the same spec electric bike in a similar store Cost 50 more. This is a definite change Its light when carried up or down flight of stairs which I have. The design is sleek it looks like a 1500 electric bike Its bright very well built (recommend that you get it built by professional so it’s got all gears) and comfortable to ride. The 3 power settings are good enough for a standard 8 mile ride which is what I do daily with a trailer attached its perfect.
The tyres are great too ideal for off road and on road.
Over all this is a much improved model for the same as I brought before 100% under priced its excellent product and with the two year guarantee it’s got my 5***** rating on 90% of my review just got to see if the battery lasts out for all my home deliveries

I’ve just flown around my village which is hilly and cannot believe how easy it is to use. I am blown away. Never ever ridden an e bike before and this is truly amazing. Easy to assemble with included tools. I fitted a more comfortable saddle and handlebar height extender having read a previous review, glad I did (I am a 6ft man). Its great to ride and seems to adjust to the pressure you apply, i.e. it lets you do more work if you want to in any of the 3 settings. Quality seems good. Early days but I am impressed.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersSo, had an issue with the first bike, the whole chain was off after the first ride, gears were stuck and the battery seemed to have a life of its own, But Amazon customer service was A1 unlike the help number I called in the booklet, a girl bluntly told me send it back, it’s covered in the warranty but only for parts you’ll have to pay the labour! I told her that I wasn’t paying labour for a product I’d only had for 7 days and used once AND has also paid Halfords to inspect it before it was used for the first time to double check it was ok and that I would contact Amazon directly as they have always had excellent customer service when I’ve dealt with them before unlike this call. Amazon were marvellous and sent a replacement straight away (did offer full refund too) so today I got to take it out for the first time and oh my goodness what a thrill! Before I had thought I was SO unfit from lockdown I couldn’t even ride an E Bike without needing oxygen!! Turns out the old battery must not have been functioning properly because when I got on this expecting the same experience I shot off like a rocket! Not sure who was more surprised me or the dog sat in the front basket! It was awesome! There are 4 levels 0 – 3 I literally spent most of the day going from 1 to 0 because it was so powerful my Apple Watch recorded I had done an average of 11 mph and that was with stops when i didn’t pause watch! I put it in 3 to go up a steep hill and it just breezed it! My dog is 12 1/2 now and can’t walk as far as she used to do this has just opened up a new life for us! She still gets to run across the fields and exercise but now we can go further and for longer I read a few blogs before buying an E Bike and this one was recommended #1 on 3 sites that I saw, for the money it’s awesome! I have purchased a rear rack that fits well and of course installed the front basket, highly recommend! Also re battery I rode for nearly 2 hours and only in the last 10 mins did the battery got to level 3 and I’m very unfit right now. (Battery has 4 red lights that indicate battery life) like other owners I purchased a new seat and handle bar extension. The fact the front wheel is a quick release is a massive plus because I can actually fit it into the back of my car on the rear seat of a saloon car (BMW 5 series) with relative ease.

    Amazing Bike…

Great bike, read into it a lot and even asked someone’s opinion at a bike shop. The build was easy peasy – I did it on my own in 5/10 mins. All put together the bike looks really smart. Due to other reviews, I purchased a handlebar extender and I am glad I did. Just for comfort for back positioning, I needed them a little higher. I’m 5ft 6inches and normally ride an 18′ frame bike. i bought 2 of these with the hope my partner and I could both ride them as the frame size wasted listed anywhere. Sadly it is a 20′ frame so just that little bit too big. Between the seat and handle ars is 26 inches and on a 18′ bike its 23 inches. So i found i was reaching for them. Also on the bottom of the seat pole, i was on tiptoes. Okay to ride, but not long term. So i would only recommend this bike if you are 5ft 7 inches and above.. I have returned one bike and kept the other for my partner. He is 6ft and fits it fine. He used it to work today and loved it. Great bike and great price. Just not if your under a certain height.

I’m sure the bike is great however I wouldn’t know as the first order I made went missing in a Hermes depot (that’s not the sellers fault though so won’t hold that against them), weeks later the bike is finally back in stock and they have sent me my replacement which arrived today! Unfortunately on trying to put the bike together the front suspension fork is entirely misaligned so the front wheel cannot be attached, rendering the bike useless! I’m giving it one last go and asked for a second replacement as I’m really eager to give the bike a chance. Everything seems of high quality from what I have seen however it would be nice to get one that could be put together or not “lost” in a depot. Bad experience so far but I’ll put that down to bad luck for now and update review when I get the next replacement. Customer service has been really great so that’s a positive!
Update: So today Hermes “attempted delivery” although I’ve been in all day so no they haven’t, they also failed to pick up the bike that needs returning last Friday so that’s now 4 days off work I’ve spent since last month trying to just get a working bike delivered and not lost. Seeing as I can’t take anymore time out the office I suspect I will never receive the bike in working condition as you can’t pick a time slot and they email you an estimate half an hour after they’ve “attempted delivery”???

Edit: Finally the bike has arrived in working condition, I’ve been on it for around 4 hours today already and didn’t manage to run the battery down, the Hermes courier couldn’t of been more helpful either organising a suitable day to return the dud one I got last week! I’ve changed this to 5 stars for now because the working product I cannot fault so far! It’s got a good kick behind it and looks great, the commute will be a lot better from now on!

One lost in transit and one that won't go together! (Edit: it was worth the hassle)

    Great bike.

Didn’t come with Panasonic battery as advertised, got the coppercell instead. Battery lasts about an hour on continuous full power and takes 3 to 4 hours to fully charge.

The seat that came with the bike was so uncomfortable so I had to purchase a more comfortable seat separately.

The majority of the bike is pre-assembled. Tool kit is included to assemble the rest. It is not difficult at all. Should take no longer than 15 minutes, even for a novice.

Overall I am happy with my purchase, the bike looks and feels great. Not bad for 500

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersBought this while it was on special offer and have been very pleased with it. I’ve used it a few times now and have only needed to use the first of the three power settings for most hills. The box states that it’s about 20.5kg so it is usable, even without power assistance, although it’s then fairly heavy going uphill.

The bike was quite well set up when it arrived – I haven’t had to adjust the gears or brakes so far, which is unusual. I did find that I didn’t like the position of the handlebars so I bought a riser for the stem which has made things much better.

The brakes were disappointing initially but have now bedded in and are working much better. I can’t say what the overall range is (the manual gives a range of 30 miles) but I probably did about 12-14 miles this morning and the battery indicator dropped to about 3/4 when going up a reasonable hill. Do note that the indicator only seems to drop from ‘full’ when under load. I suspect that it would be easy to think that you have a full battery when it’s actually nearly empty. The given 30 miles is probably quite accurate.

The only disappointment was in receiving a bike with a Ceppercell battery of 7.36AH rather than the higher capacity Panasonic advertised. The Coppercell battery seems decent but the consequent reduced range is disappointing.

Unlike a few reviewers, I’ve not yet had any issues with tyres popping or problems fitting the pedals. That said, I haven’t used mine for proper off-roading – just local trails so the tyres haven’t been under undue strain. Like the rest of the bike, they actually seem to be quite decent. As regards the pedals, do remember that one has a left hand thread and the other has a right hand thread. So, one is installed by turning it in the normal way, the other is installed by turning it backwards (as if you were unscrewing it) – this is so that the pedal doesn’t become loose while you are riding it. If you try to install the wrong pedal on the wrong side, you will have problems! They are labelled.

The only issue I’ve had to date is a squeak from the crank. This was down to a circular piece of plastic fitted on the inside of the chainwheel not being quite true and so rubbing. It’s part of the sensor mechanism that tells the bike when you are pedalling so as to actuate the power. I just pulled it away from the body of the bike a couple of mm and the squeak went away.

In summary, I’m really pleased with the bike.

Had problems with delivery and took about 2 weeks to sort out as courier Hermes messed up the delivery address i.e. wrong address on order. Fairly straightforward to assembly and very good bike. Battery supplied was Coppercell rated at 7.2ah and not Panasonic. Compliant made to Amazon customer services and received 10% compensation on price paid. They advised that the product advertisement will be amended but still see Panasonic battery being mentioned along with the Coppercell?? Pot luck on what you might get on the battery front! Have changed the bike seat as the one supplied is not very comfortable. Brilliant bike and climbing any gradient is a breeze using the 3 power assist modes . Did 10 miles and battery is still at 80% charge. I’d recommend the bike but make sure what battery your supplied with.

Great bike overall. Changed the seat as was uncomfortable, added mudguards and lights. Was easy to assemble but did have a problem trying to put the front wheel on as on the instructions it doesn’t tell you about the switch on the brakes. It was too tight to begin with so the wheel wouldn’t move but once the switch thing was clicked into place and brakes were adjusted as the cable was slack, the wheel then was free to spin. Haven’t tested it out yet on the roads but looking forward to riding it. Great value for money, delivered within 2 weeks.

I unpacked & put it together in about 30 mins, not done any bike assembly before but was very straightforward & easy. Charged in about 2 hours.
Wanted an electric bike so I could accompany my daughter on her horse out on our welsh mountains. Is brilliant for the extra power to get me up the hills, exactly what I needed.
Very easy to operate. Only downside is its a bit of a boneshaker as no suspension & the seat is very uncomfortable. Will be getting a good bouncy seat & hoping that helps. For the money it’s a bargain & road cycling on it is great & smooth.
If you want an affordable electric bike then I can highly recommend it.

Scanning for an ebike and I stumbled on this…

Ordered and no contact but then a big brown box arrived 2 days later

Its a 20 inch frame yay!!!

    A 27.5 wheeled bike and a 20 inch frame ..

    Awsome!!!!

Started to build up which is fitting front wheel removing alot of polystyrene and cable ties fitting all pots back to find an awsome bike…

Not got to ride yet as just about to get pedals on and … the method used to hold the wheel had damaged the frame… the ONLY complaint… Escalated and resolved..

What a bike… just need to wait for other bits before road test as these come a day later but a full selection of tools not pressed spanners and bits.. cannot fault…

Build pump up tyres set handlebars is best description… and its not 26 inch wheels or 17 inch frame from a major high Street…

Only other observations no water bottle mounts as I suspect not expected to do a trail but go to work… which I bought for

    But …

Money well spent for niggles etc and a strong motor bike … 30 miles that’s 2 days to work avoiding the congestion before charge and I’m not costing the environme

    Very fast delivery... but....

I have an aftermarket Swifty, from a well known auction site selling amazon returns. Collected it locally, and it still had original packing, and keys strapped to the handlebars. Easy to assemble out of the box with the small selection of tools supplied. Luckily the reason for return was not a serious failure, just a few minor scratches, possibly from being repacked, and a very annoying squeak.

Now the reason why we have bike shops, is because they will assemble and test the bike for you, this one had annoying squeak from the bottom bracket, temporarily fixed with PTFE spray lubricant, but later when the squeak returned dismantled the crank to get a better look, and the sensor bracket under the frame had been bent so that the sensor was in contact with the disk of magnets, rubbing constantly and causing the squeak. Removing the disk gently, I managed to silence the squeak by bending the bracket back so that the sensor did not contact the disk when reassembled.

The motor mechanism works really well, and gives assist from a standing start, the top assist level really gives it some speed (25mph) so long as you keep pedalling.

Now the bad news, finding a carrier that fits might be tricky, you need one that will mount in the 5mm holes in the frame at the back hub, and clamps for top stays. There are no lights as standard, and no USB sockets to plug them into – room for some upgrades to the battery pack too. Worst of all it gets unwanted attention, so you need a pair of sturdy locks, and as there is no carrier for them you will need another bag too.

Otherwise for a regular cycle run to a relative or workplace its just the thing.

So, the Swifty AT650 (yellow & black). This entry-level e-bike is a good value-for-money bike other than a few minus points. Firstly, the saddle is of very poor quality so spend 10-15 on eBay or Amazon to replace it with a decent Gel seat, your backside will be raw after about 10mls. I have another one of these bikes on order and have already ordered a new seat for it without it arriving. No screw holes to fit a bottle cage as the battery takes up the point where the screws would normally be located, I cannot understand why Swifty couldn’t have put screw holes on the down bar of the frame, mmmm? COST. Unbranded Mechanical disc brakes are a bit spongy, Not Tektro, Clarks, Shimano etc. Luckily for me I work in the business so upgrading those parts is not a big expense but if you had to get done in Bike Shop it would cost the best part of 100-150. I will have to replace the caliper brakes with a better quality product. Saying all this it’s a good going e-bike for the money, quick charging (2-3hrs), 7 sp Shimano twist grip gears are quite sufficient for its purpose. Would I purchase another one – Yes, already on order, but will be upgrading on all the parts I have mentioned, then it will be a better bike and more pleasurable to ride..

Despite a little issue with front rotor disc I am very pleased with this bike & recommended it to friends. It’s very good value and a quality product. The only thing stopping my friends buying one is stock.

Took about 1/2 hour to assemble and it’s a very good ride, the seat is a bit on the hard side so a gel saddle would be an improvement
Quite pleased with the electric assist
Haven’t been far enough to to verify the battery life

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis has got me back on two wheels, fabulous bike and easy to assemble, even the tools are provided. Battery fully charged and first trip down the road to work and back-terrific ! unbelievably quick and safe, brakes are superb, gears change smoothly, great range on a charge, I honestly can’t fault it, VERY highly recommended. Now I can sell the car (LOL) PS anybody want to buy a non-electric bike (ha ha)

Bought two bikes one for my wife who is 5 foot 4 inch (if you are smaller than this probably the bike will be too big ) and one for myself at 5 foot 9 inch . We have changed the seats because I think with the bike being heavier the ride becomes stiffer , We have also put handle bar raisers on because the taller you are the more you lean forwards and the handle bars are not adjustable without raisers .
It is a different style of riding than a normal mountain bike because of the weight and the gears . 1st gear is like 3rd on a normal bike but that’s when you turn on the power assist and away you go .It does not take long to get used to it and get a smile on your face going up them hills.
The seats and raises cost about 30 for both bikes off the internet.
More expensive bikes will probably be better but for the money these are very good ( happy riding )

Did not want to spend big money but needed a bike that would assist me up hills. I only use the bike for general road travel. First impressions very good easy to assemble seems good quality and does the job pleasure to ride. Saddle could be more comfortable

Love it. Assisted works great on hills and you can turn it off if you want a bit of a workout. A solid well handling bike, with that extra boost when needed. Would recommend for people around 6ft as the frame and tyres make it quite high from ground. Great bike !.

Nothing to dislike about this bike . I was a little dubious when I ordered it as it was probably the cheapest electric bike I had seen . But as my first e bike there is really nothing to dislike about it . It was easy to put together , the instructions were very clear and concise and the support centre , which I haven’t yet needed to use , Is a local number . I’ve only been out 3 or 4 times on it but it’s turned cycling back into a pleasurable experience . The only problem I suspect that I’m going to have is making sure it doesn’t make me too lazy .
All in all though, it’s so far do good, and proving to be a great purchase .

Golden Review Award: 18 From Our UsersOk here’s my review of the Swifty 650 ebike. Assembly was pretty much 90% done in factory. Just had to install the handbars and few others bits. It’s a breeze to setup don’t worry. Definitely need two people to unbox everything. I am not new to cycles and I think I know a thing or two about them.

First thing I noticed was the handle bars are too low for my liking. So I went on Amazon and purchased handlebar stem extender. Cost me 13 roughly. I removed the handlebars and inserted the extension that I bought and refit it. Now the bars are much higher, about 3 inch extra height.

Fully charged the battery, (was already 50% charged). Took it out for a test ride and first thing is my bum hurt so much. The saddle they provided was pretty bad. Again went on Amazon and purchased two items. A soft cushion saddle with springs and a bike post with suspension. Both cost me 30.

Next day it arrived, so I set them up and went out again.

Now, the ride is absolutely brilliant. No hurty bums. This thing is fast and is very good build quality. The wheels are big, 27.5inch. The frame is 20inch. Remember that people because if your short or under 5’4″ then this definitely isn’t for you. Some may say their ok with it and manage to ride it comfortably. Well there’s a reason they have frame sizes. 16 to 18 inches frame is made for people 5’4″ and under. 18 inch is for people over 5’4″. And 20 is for people over 5’7″ minimum so you can sit comfortably. This my rough guide.

    Anyway, back to the ebike.

Will it last? Probably will. The tyres are all road, which is good. I can take it to the forest and ride with no problems. With the added front suspension and my additional seat post with suspension is a perfect way to ride both off and on road.

Overall and very nice and sturdy ebike.

Highly recommended for anyone who wants to start out on ebikes.

I love it, i got up extra early this morning, been testing it all day, barely any tyre damage, i was really surprised the first time I powered on and used assistive mode, the kick was really noticeable as i went up through the different settings, very happy i chose this bike, money well spe

My dad is very happy with the bike and thoroughly enjoys cycling now with the extra help. The battery can be removed from the bike and charged separately, which is very useful.

Golden Review Award: 76 From Our UsersResearched e-bikes for some time and really pleased with this purchase. The rear wheel is powered rather the front and tyres are all terrain or cross over. Not thick mountain nor wafer thin road, but just right for all terrains so long as you don’t want a specialist bike for one or the other. Prices can vary from cheap or ridiculous expensive, but if this is your first e-bike, then the price is perfect for a starter. Arrived on time in a huge heavy box and looks quite daunting. Don’t be worried as mostly pre-assembled. Just need to attach the saddle, handle bars, front wheel and pedals with tools provided. Once the battery is charged you are good go straight out of the box.

The ride is brilliant with pedal assist. Stop peddling or touch the brakes, motor stops. I’m in my sixties and have trouble with hills or riding into the wind. No longer as the four speed electric motor just kicks in and it is a go anywhere bike. Take busy round-a-bouts — a normal bike takes 20 — 30 seconds to build up to speed. This bike will keep up with the car in front while you go round without any effort at all.

I rode for an hour at the weekend and did about 25 miles and battery still had a full charge when I got back. You can still ride without any charge like a normal bike, but not so much fun.

You still have to pedal, so you still get exercise so win, win.

Only down side was the small rear reflector was broken off. I’m not going to quibble about that and just buy another one.

I can’t recommend this bike enough.

I would give this bike 10 stars if I could.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersPre ordered early August but arrived on the day I was told it would. Needed some assembly as expected with a delivered bike but pretty straight forward. You’ll need a pump for a presta valve but my mini pump does both so not a problem. Motor appears to be very efficient and on a 12 mile 1hour 50min ride yesterday which included hillsI only used 25% of battery. Bought this for my 5′ 4″ tall wife and she does need the seat all the way down. Good quality E bike and for the money I’d be surprised if you could find better.
