Bought for our nephew using with his new gaming pc and loves it.
It does what it’s suppose to and as a first gaming mouse it’s also good for the wallet.
works fine as described, but i do find the thumb rest isnt very comfortable and the rubber pad by it doesnt stay on very well, frequently revealing the adhesive underneath
For those who are looking for the software and cannot find it via the link provided in the manual (not like I tried, anyway), just go to Tecknet’s site and go to the Drivers and Manuals page. Search for the software for ‘EGM01793’. That’s the model of the mouse. At least, for the mouse that says GM2793-1 boldly. The SKU for that is EGM01793.
You’re welcome. That being said, I think it’s a good mouse that might make me consider gaming on PC again (I got it for my nephews).
Easy to use tracking speed with lights clearing denoting setting
I was looking for a mouse with buttons that were positioned at certain points, and which could have macros assigned to function how I work. This included using the right button remapped and crucially 3 thumb buttons.
Although I saw it say they were all programmable I wondered if it might not be true, perhaps they just meant some of them and a couple of the others strictly had to be a mode button or DPI changer.
No, they are all assignable how you want through the driver (The only let down on this mouse was the naming of the driver from Tecknet, its hard to find and labelled wrong- You need the EGM01793BA01)
A great mouse thats underpriced to its competitiors and only let down by an oversight by the website configuration.
I bought this mouse for my daughter, who has small hands. I had read good reviews but I feared those reviews might apply only to larger people. No problem: this mouse fits a smaller hand too.
The mouse buttons are programmable. One of the buttons allows her to turn off the annoying flashing lights. She loves that.
Led lights and multi buttons gives a fun factor to this mouse
I bought this mouse originally just to use for work so just wanted to buy something cheap, when it arrived I pleasantly surprised by not only the clean and simple packaging it came in but also the build quality itself seemed instantly impressive.
I used it at work for a day and was very happy with it, it’s very very comfortable, lightweight, the clicks feel nice, nice scroll wheel and accurate movement aswell. Oh yeah and the RGB lights are pretty cool too, about 7 or so changeable options including off if you don’t want them. The DPI adjustment is and up and down toggle between about 5 or so settings rather than one single DPI button that cycles.
After using at work for a day a decided to give it a try at some games, as after all, it is a gaming mouse.
I have not used this for FPS games yet, however, for Dead By Daylight it works perfectly well and is extremely comfortable for a long gaming session due to it’s very well designed ergonomics and how light it is, it isn’t too light either, they seem to have hit the nail on the head for the weight of the mouse as personally I am not a fan of heavy mice.
All in all 5/5 for this mouse, way exceeded expectations and has even earned a spot as my main gaming mouse over my Steelseries mouse which was triple the price.
Pretty much exactly what you expect and no faults seen so far
Good RGB modes with fluid lighting. Glides along mouse mats well. Fairly chunky mouse so if you prefer smaller mice not the best choice.
Love that the mouse is shaped for your fingers to wrap around, which is very comfortable to be used all day for work or gaming. I didn’t realise it had colour changing lights which look very cool. Also very fast and accurate and very easy to use when gaming
I like TeckNet mice and have used them for a number of years on several machines.
They are hard wearing, have good cable lengths and are very customizable.
Programming a macro is quite easy, the ability to switch DPI on the fly is very useful and the ability to turn off the lights a boon (for late night gaming).
I would say this one suits a medium to large hand size though. People with smaller hands struggle to reach all the customizable buttons.
They are a little ‘clicky’ if you are recording (but not as bad as most keyboards).
A very nice mouse, i am not a gamer but this went well with my backlit keyboard the two together look amazing – can’t comment on gaming but as a mouse a very good buy
Only had it a few days but already i feel right at at home with this gaming mouse. Great support for my fingers and as i suffer from mild arthritus the ergonomic shape helps to alleviate it during my longish gaming sessions. Excelent value for the money would recommend this mouse to anyone
Great comfortability as it is very important for gaming, naturally fits in the hand, best mouse!!!
with gaming stuff like this its a gamble when you buy cheap but this is deffinatly worth it if you do not have a lot to spend i bought this to replace a cooler master CM Storm mouse which had broken and this feels more accurate and less judder.
Great mouse I am primarily a console gamer and so far I have been using this for my A Level art graphics because it is easy to program the buttons and they have perfect placement so I can easily do all my work while sitting on my arse and only using my right hand. Also great quality cable and weights are a good addition you might think it’s to cheap to be a good mouse like I did but it’s not I prefer it over my previous R.A.T mouse.
My brother is 11 years old, and I bought this for him. He said it was one of the best gaming mouses he used. He loves the additional settings such as volume change and the way you can set the mouse to change colours. He said it was the best present ever. Extremely pleased with the purchase. The additional 18 month warranty is a bonus. Highly recommend this gaming mouse 🙂
Great mouse the fact you can fully programme it even to the point where you can assign a different dpi to each colour seeing is grea
It’s a good size, nice to hold and accurate. It even performs well when plugged into a docking station. Don’t expect it to be a like for like replacement of your 100 gaming mouse but it’s well worth it for the money.
Used it for gaming buttons are a bit close together I have big fingered and hand
I sent it to my friend, and he likes it. It’s good.
I’ve owned this for 3 years now, it works great. It’s cheap and if you are on a budget then definitely look no further.
Awesome mouse for the money. Very ergonomic and looks great with the proximity switching blue LEDs. Can’t fault it for all applications.
I bought this to replace my last Tecknet M008 mouse which developed a dodgy scroll. This new mouse, the GM299 is very easy to use, set up and is extremely responsive. Registering on the Tecknet website adds 6 months to the warranty.
Second one I bought first one started braking after 4 years. I’m very happy with the performance
Excellent gaming mouse for the price, very surprised with it,as having used razor for 15 years.
Great functionality for even greater price! Programable buttons and macros gives real advantage in online gaming!
Bought for my son and he loves it uses it for footnote on ps4
Great mouse for the price. Easy to set up after the software has been downloaded.
Great mouse for a awesome price. Weights are easily interchangeable, dpi swapping on the fly and RGB.
I was expecting something that felt cheap for the price tag, but this is a much higher quality than my low expectations. It feels good and comes with weights to customize. I have not changed them so far as the mouse feels good just the way it is. I also like the cord, which feels very robust.
I can compare this mouse to a Corsair mouse I owned – cosmetically the plastic looks cheaper and the side buttons are very basic. Through time I will see how those buttons last through regular gaming. But otherwise this mouse is an equal to the Corsair. It is the most comfortable mouse I’ve owned. Thanks to the weighting system it is very solid user experience, the mouse feels steady. The led lighting isn’t too over the top. Plus the software I downloaded from Tecknet is great. You can’t go wrong with this mouse, I’d say you would have to spend another 50 to see a real difference.
As far as RGB mice go it’s pretty basic, but don’t let that discourage you. I’ve been using it for over 4 years now and it’s still going strong. The weights are really useful too and it’s very comfortable to hold. Definitely worth the price.
– Very good for the price,
– Gets a bit warm after long use but nothing too concerning
– Decent default lighting settings
I remember buying this mouse around 4 or so years ago. It’s been subject to quite a beating since then and doesn’t even have a scratch. For the price I paid, it’s incredible value. The lights are really bright too. Would highly recommend.
My son bought this with his pocket money to use with his Xbox one. Seems to be very happy with the purchase. Arrived on time and packaged well.
I bought a few gaming mice to compare how the handled aiming and found this mouse to be the best of the 3 I ordered. The sweet spot is 1000dpi in my opinion. The other sensitivity settings are too much for me. The mouse feels quality and aiming on this is excellent. I’ve managed to increase my frag count on Apex Legends big time. I moved on from my beloved Logitech MX518, which started showing its age and wasn’t helping me aim down sight in FPS games. Definitely recommended. The mouse feels good quality in build and the wire is braided which helps to reduce friction on the wire. I’m not one for wireless mice so this was perfect for me.
I was originally looking for a Red Dragon mouse that I bought like 3 years ago that I gave to a friend as my Roccat Lua, while it is a good mouse is just too small, but they didn’t have a Red Dragon and this one was recommended. For the price, I am blown away by the size and everything else on it. It can be uncomfortable at start especially on your thumb but once you get used to it, you don’t even notice it. I would reccomend this mouse to everyone and for the price, it is an absolute steal of a bargain!
Great mouse. Comfortable to hold.Good weight. Easy to configure. Decent length cable. Not a gamer, so can’t give any stars!
For gaming this is a back up mouse, in my opinion
Cons:
– The DPI accuracy is dubious. I think the readings in the software are innaccurate. You can set it to 800dpi but will feel like 1000.
– The plastic it’s made with aren’t great at dealing with moisture – if you get sweaty hands it will become slippery quickly.
– I’m not convinced the sensor is that accurate. I’ve used more expensive mice that feel a lot more tactile and reliable with accuracy.
Pros:
– GREAT price
– Good software, if a little crude. (be aware of the lack of DPI accuracy though as previously mentioned)
– If your primary mouse breaks it can serve as a good back up
– Very lightweight, great for games that require a lot of mouse movement
Overall it’s definitely worth the money but please don’t expect a super high-quality device that will match all the higher priced devices on the market.
The mouse’ left and right click buttons are tactile an responsive. DPI, side and sniper buttons are responsive too, if a little soft. The scroll wheel is tactile enough, without demanding too much force to use, it’s click is responsive, though it doesn’t click horizontally. Lights are nice, I currently have it neon-ing the rainbow, you can also have it one static colour or breathing. LED’s are bright enough. The mouse was larger than I expected, which is a welcome surprise, for a 21cm long hand, it makes the mouse quite comfortable to hold and move around. The mouse design is symmetrical but wide, which lets you get a nice firm grip onto it. As for weight, it is quite light, being made from simple plastics. It’s built solidly, no shaking parts, no squishiness about its frame.
The software from Tecknet is quite nice, offering a range of useful options, you can change dpi range, create profiles, set dpi profiles, change the mouse sensor sensitivity, a little overkill overall.
I recommend this product.
Good mouse, had to custom programme the alt buttons to work with some games, but the software twinned with the mouse makes this simple.
I used this brand for over a year and yet i am pleased with their product. There mouse is big enough to hold comfortably as i have big hands and has buttons which makes gaming much easier such as the sniper. I bought this product nearly a month ago and it is still in good condition due to its quality.
Bought this along with the keyboard, and is brilliant, very comfortable to hold and feels and looks really sma
Nice to hold, and the software easy to use; great to be able to adjust the DPI on the fly during a game.
Would of been nice to have a rubber like material on the sides of the mouse for grip. Either way a very good mouse for the price.
I’ve had mouses which cost 100+ but will never look back after trying this mouse out. The software is easy to use, the mouse is a really nice to hold despite its plasticky feel. If your looking for something to feel heavy and premium this is not your mouse. If your looking for the perfect gaming mouse this is your mouse.
I like sensitive mice for doing photo editing and gaming. I am impressed with this mouse. It looks good with cool looking lights and it feels nice and comfortable in my hand.
You will need to download the drivers from technet. I would download the drivers for the GM299 as these work. I found it rather confusing to obtain the drivers from the information provided in the instructions.
The sensitivity settings are easy to use and you can alter these via the settings menu and via clicking on buttons on the mouse so you can adjust them on the “fly”.
As far as I am concerned this mouse performs like any of the really super expensive brands out there and is excellent value. There are a total of 8 buttons that can be customised to suit your needs.
I’ve been through 4 mice in this past year and I can without a doubt say that this is the best in terms of ergonomic design, in-hand feel and overall use. DPI Buttons are amazing
In this price range is the best option even for a hard-core gamer. Very good built quality, but for, it took time to get used to it in my hand since I was used with a Logitech small wireless mouse.
looks fantastic, red back colour, can set/change a million settings on their software. very very good product. son uses for Fortnight (4 hours at a time) no complaints in over 2 months use..superb mouse.
I have had a few Teknet mice now and when you choose the right models they can be very good. My favourite I dont think they do any more, but it was weighted and the weights could be canged with a metal bottom plate. This cheaper version has a plastic construction, but is still a great mouse and good for gaming, or so my son tells me.
The short review is: this is fantastic mouse.
The long review – there are so many good things about this mouse I barely know where to start! It’s a beautiful fit for my medium-large man hands, is responsive, and has a wheel and lots of buttons. The LED lights are great and you can configure them on or off, set the brightness and colour, even plusate them. The cable is braided. By default the buttons behind the wheel/3rd button change DPI (and different colours for the DPI) but these can be modified. The software (which you download) has numerous options. Almost too many to mention. Lots of obvious mouse things to configure such as pointer, double-click and scroll speed, polling rate, DPI and Axis sensitivity settings, and the LED.
The button assignment and macro software is extremely impressive. Any button can be set to RMB, LMB, MMB, Forward, Back, Fire, editing commands such as cut, paste, undo, redo, print etc., media commands such as play, pause, next, etc., any number of computer commands such as My Computer, desktop, web, run (etc.), DPI changes, or a macro you can record (any number of key and mouse presses, with pauses, which you can later edit and configure. More than that you can save everything in “profiles”, which makes it handy for different users (Dad, me, etc.) or for different games (Call of Duty plays differently to a Role Playing Game, etc.)
Am I am fan – yes I am. This mouse would be cheap at five times the price!!
PS, do a Google search for “TeckNet gm299 Raptor Pro driver v4” (without the quotes) will find the right drivers / software for this mouse.
If you don’t want to go all out spending allot of money on a gaming mouse but you just want one that works and is designed for gaming and fits your hand nicely this is the mouse i recommend. This mouse has a nice weight to it and if you think its to heavy you can remove the weights in the back.
It is a very comfortable mouse and it’s very well built. The cable is breaded which makes it even more durable. The shape of the mouse is perfectly made for the hand. The buttons are clicky and they can be customised with the dedicated software.
Pretty great for a gaming mouse! Above all Its cheap. I never did see the point of investing a lot of money for a mouse (just for looks or brand? I guess?) But thank god i found this one.
Good mouse, well placed triple click button, feels a bit plastic-y but cannot complain for the price. Only problem I have is that the mouse wheel has started to squeak occasionally, but on the whole it’s definitely a good budget option.
Very very good mouse, lots of configurations for colours and buttons, good setting software.
First of all, for 12 pounds I did not expect a program with so many features ads this one. I had to go to the support website and download their driver to be able to access all of the features which was pretty simple, after that it even lets me record macros with my keyboard and bind it to any of the keys. I did not expect this as normally when you have mice that let you rebind keys its only to numbers or basic windows functions but this program allows you to make it do whatever you want. Although the program is not the most aesthetically pleasing it is simple to use and isn’t too cluttered with random stuff. The material is nice to move and the rubber pads on the bottom are smooth and level meaning the tolerances are pretty good. The weights are also a really nice addition to the mouse and allow for a wide variety of preferences.
I am very impressed.
The buttons are built with soft closing springs and thus whilst clicking at speed there really isn’t any significant noise pollution emitted. Furthermore, the mouse is finished in a black matt edgy design finished with an array of coloured LED lighting, has rubber padded thumb buttons and is ERGONOMIC in that the shape of the mouse sits in my palm and this results in a comfortable clicking/cursor control environment. The choice of adding weights to the mouse really does ensures this product to be suitable for all individuals, heavy handed or not.
All in all, this is an outstanding mouse and comes with a 2 year warranty.
The mouse works great, I would recommend this mouse because the laser on it is good, this mouse also has very nice grip on the sides and also there are many buttons that you can use, and these buttons are conveniently located so that they are not accidentally pressed. As well as the great funcitonality of this mouse, it is also good because of how it looks. The design on this mouse is very nice.
I was recommended this mouse by a friend and they were absolutely correct.
At the huge 7000 dpi it can be changed to smaller dpi by the buttons under the mouse wheel. The nice feature is that it has two buttons to go up or down in dpi and also changes the light so you know what dpi you are at. This is extremely handy if you have different dpi settings for different games so that it’s easier to find the correct setting by going to the corresponding colour.
It looks great with the lights and is nicely made, including the braided cable that will lessen tangles.
The removable weights is a nice feature usually only found in much more expensive mice, good to be able to fine tune the weight.
A great mouse for a great price, highly recommend.
Great mouse. I have two sets of keyboard and mouse by Tecknet and they are very good.
Light, accurate and powerful. Sleek, sporty and lightning quick. Colour leds. Wired for speed and accuracy – ample cable length. Cable is braided for high quality. It’s like the Porsche in gaming mice. Suit professionals but equally usable by others. Downloadable software for various tweaks and options although Windows 10 automatically finds a driver. One of my best buys for PC gaming.
ice mouse, good value for the price. My lad plays fornite constantly like the rest of the world and being able to reconfigure the buttons certainly helps with gaming. You can switch DPI as well which is handy.
Excellent product! Best mouse I have ever purchased and it has it all that I could require for an amazing price. Satisfaction guaranteed 🙂
Amaaaaazing
1. It looks stunning, as the photos show.
2. There are 8 (8!) programmable buttons.
3. Superbly ergonomic,
4. Extremely sensitive which is really important.
5. The LED illumination looks really good.
6. Extreme value for money
Great buy
This mouse firstly looks great – it’s aggressive styling suit it’s environment perfectly and all the surfaces and textures complement each other well. It looks even better plugged in with the illuminated areas glowing nicely but I have to say that my favourite part is the cable which is a red and black braided affair (reminiscent of an old domestic iron cable) – it gives it a real touch of quality.
Quality is a definite theme to the mouse as it not only looks good but feels great too – the buttons (all 8 of them) have a nice click (or scroll) to them and it feels really sturdy, with or without the optional weights. It moves well across the mouse mat with no juddering and all on-screen movements are fast and responsive.
It’s worth following other reviewers advice to download the correct drivers and if you do so you’ll have a high quality, great functioning mouse for a great price.
Extremely cool looking mouse – the product phtos don’t doo it justice – looks great in black.
The lights can be set nice and low level awell as do all the fancy pulsing stuff from the software, less is more for me which it does well.
The bullets are cool for completely adjusting the feel of it, did not expect them to change as much as they do, great addition.
Control is great and set it to whatever you want, then switch profiles for each game or app situation.
Really good for high resolution music DAW control where I can hardly see some synth controls yet this is still very accurate around them, and loads of buttons makes workflow really fast for shortcuts.
Worked on all surfaces I tested it with.
Great grip all round so you won’t lose control.
I really like this mouse, with all the weights in it is a decent weight which seems to make aiming more controllable when going for those head shots. The buttons are well positioned and the size and shape fit well in the hand. Great price, well worth the money.
This gaming mouse steps it up even more from the basic gaming mouse model.
My everyday mouse has been lately the Tecknet Raptor gaming mouse base model. This pro model is even better as expected.
It has weight adjustment and a better precision tracking system, which is not noticeable for everybody, but if you play FPS games you will definitely appreciate the better DPI.
The LED lights of the mouse are not disturbing and very gently and pleasant to have, even though it is not RGB light, at this price point the leds are very much appreciated.
The software is good and very easy to use. also this company has really good customer support and provides a warranty of 18 months that can be extended if you register.
I would say my hands are medium to big, and this mouse is very comfortable to use. One of the most ergonomic for my hands. It would even be good to use for medium to small hands thanks to the long buttons that reach all the way to the middle of the mouse.
Overall my experience with this mouse has been one of the best, definitely preferring this over a 50 overpriced mouse with the same functions and optic sensor. I highly recommend this product.
great gaming mouse arrived in a nice small box well packaged ,for the price its brilliant well made and with the red led lights looks good when your using it, would recommend this for anyone who’s looking for a new mouse
This mouse is crazy for 11.99. it has all the same fetures as my crosshair mouse that cost 42.99. Truthfully the only differnce is it is a little lighter and isnt quite as well finished on the plastic. thats not an issue at 11.99, wish i found this first! bought it as a gift but after opening it i had to give it a shot. at the bottom you can open it up and change the weights. it has a sniper button (the main reason i bought my 42.99 mouse!) the mouse wheel is very smooth but also clicks which is great for weapon changes 😀 . the software is fully functional; you set any DPI you like, creat macros for getting ahead of you friends in a game and you can also change the LED’s. there is also the ability to create profiles for differnt users of for a variatiy of games!
I obtained this gaming mouse to help me at work, since the provided mouse was too small, I need a large mouse. So therefore I cannot judge how well it does at gaming. I chose a corded for work so that I didn’t need to keep changing the batteries. The mouse can change its lighting and DPI settings and overall it feels robust in the hand.
I can tell you that this mouse is comfortable to use, accurate and comes with a long cord (5 to 6 feet) and the price I paid was 11.99, which is a bargain. The specialist software for this can be downloaded and installed off the manufacturer website.
Unfortunately due to the nature of it being a works PC I’ve unable to install this software.
I’ve used expensive gaming mouse before and they are heavier and have more control however the price of this thing must also be accounted for in the overall review, and thus I’m giving it 5 stars due to the price and how comfortable it is for me to use.
The mouse is a good size and the adjustable weight is nice to have, it has a multitude of tactile buttons to compliment your play style and the wire is braided so there’s no need to worry about the wire breaking.
2 months into its life and it is playing up. As I am playing with it, if the mouse wire lends itself to the right hand side of the mouse it disconnects from my PC and I have no movement!! Massive problem for me as I only play CSGO and not being able to play it. Can someone comeback to me thanks
Nice mouse, easy to configure with plenty of different options for each button.
The only issue I have is that the clicks are very loud, so if you play games with a lot of repetitive clicking, it could get annoying for yourself or anyone else in the room. I’m just hoping that quietens down over time.
The wired gaming mouse was delivered in tidy hassle-free packaging. I have enjoyed using this mouse both for gaming and general day to day use like web browsing and word processing.
Pros
– Good build, look and feel
– Has eight adjustable DPI levels and the defaults are set to 1000/1500/2000/3000/4000/5000/6000/7000
– In addition to left, right and middle click it has side buttons which are handy for back/forward when web browsing and another extra button on the side which is handy for gaming.
– Software can be used to change the mouse settings including sensitivity settings and light settings (such as breathing patterns)
– Comes with five 5g weights that you can add to the base of the mouse to add weight to the mouse as you find fit. I have found this quite handy as you mice often feel ‘too light’ but this isn’t an issue for this one.
Cons
– None
All in all, a great gaming mouse at a low price . Good value for money. I am happy with the product.
This product is really good i have been looking around for a while for a mouse for someone with big hands and this mouse fits absolutely perfect and i think the quality of the product is good and the price is really well as well. The buttons and the mouse clicks feel really well and i love that you can change the DPI really quickly which is good in some games to have it on the fly. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone but i can also imagine someone with a bit smaller hands to myself having a bit of a problem using it but for me its absolutely perfect.
The mouse came on time in a signature TeckNet brown small recyclable cardboard. You will find the mouse, a warranty card and along with a welcome manual guide.
Firstly, I really love this gaming mouse. It is so beautiful to look at. Great color with sculpted design. LED illumination shines everywhere. Very stylish and ergonomic design fits my hand perfectly and remains comfortable after long time’s using. With the Ffive 5g weights, I can customize different weight to reach perfect balance for individual games. That is so cool to have and gives better grip.
There are 8 levels of DPI that you can define from 1000 up to 7000 bason on your requirement. You can set different color for the DPI and of course different patterns of light effect and blink frequency. Awesome Feature! And they looks so beautiful day and night.
Gaming experience is excellent. The mouse is so responsive and accurate thanks to the gaming grade sensor on board. Not only the programable controls but also the fire button give smoothly effortless and fantastic gaming experience. It handles FPS game without any problem at all. Also suites daily use and normal game just great.
Great mouse with so many features and lovely look. I am so happy to have it. You cannot go wrong with this low priced but high quality gaming mouse. Thumbs up to the great work. Highly recommended to everyone.
Great mouse, sits nicely in the hand (I have small-medium sized hands) and has space underneath for weights. Easy to change Colour schemes are very cool.
Really nice mouse, has metal weights to adjust the feel and weight, lots of programmable buttons, download the software on the website the disc they give you has bad software on it, the drivers need to be downloaded online. Other than that fantastic feel to it, very responsive and can be de-tuned to make it less responsive too, awesome for the price.
As a female gamer (not very hardcore), I look for good functionality, range of settings and value for money, but looks matter as well! The first time I saw this gaming mouse it reminded me of transformers. 🙂 I like how it comes in a plain box and then what you take out of it is anything but plain. But as they say, looks aren’t everything – luckily this mouse delivers on all counts. I like the feel of it, I’m used to gaming mice, so the size is just right as well, it’s stable and amazingly built. Has an extensive range of settings, you can customize absolutely everything it has to offer – custom DPI, macros, change keys, led colours and effects. You can download the software and also register your product on the website and get extended warranty (2 years total!!!) among other perks. I found all of this incredible for this price range. All in all, gorgeous mouse, great settings, amazing value for money and if you’re not satisfied, you might be comparing it with crazy expensive options.
It was a bit difficult to find the drivers for the mouse (tecknet website) but other than that I am very happy with the product. You can customize every single button , not only the extras, and you can also set the lights to “Steady”, “Breathe” and “Blink”.
Gaming Mouse, TeckNet RAPTOR Pro 7000 DPI Programmable Gaming Mice, 8 Programmable Buttons Professhinal Wired Laptop PC Computer Mouse, 8 Adjustment DPI Levels,1000Hz Return Rate, Fire Power Button, Weight Tuning Cartridge
This is a lovely mouse, it comes with a generous length of cloth covered cable. The mouse is full sized but is designed to fit comfortably in your hand. I found every button to be exactly where I wanted it to be. The scroll wheel has slight resistance when it’s turned so it will not just spin freely & out of control. Just behind the scroll wheel there are two buttons which change your Dpi settings, there are 8 different settings available which basically change the speed that your mouse moves across the screen. What I like about the Dpi settings is that for each setting the mouse lights up with a different colour. My previous mouse had buttons for changing the Dpi but I never really knew which was set apart from how the mouse felt. I will find these different colours very handy indeed. The mouse is programmable too but I haven’t tested that out yet.
The mouse comes supplied with a user manual with photos so it’s easy to read. The mouse was instantly recognised by my Windows 10 computer, it worked straight away, the cursor moves smoothly without jumping or jitter. The Dpi settings work fine too with just the windows driver, the mouse has programmable buttons, for these to work you will need to pop over to the Tecknet site & download their software then you can program your mouse.
The mouse is attractive to look at, it has a high tech look about it with the red buttons, it looks pretty impressive when plugged in and lit up. There is a small round cover underneath which you can unscrew with your finger nails, I found this quite stiff at first but it is something most people probably wont bother with, but it is a nice feature. When the cover is removed there are small weights which you can remove or move around to adjust the balance or weight of the mouse to suit. I found it just right as supplied so I didn’t bother changing anything.
I have found this to be a really good gaming mouse, it has all the features that I desire, I am most impressed with this – Highly recommended!
The mouse feels nice. The material is good enough, but i give a 4 star because its 4 000 DPi, not 7 000 as it is in the description.
Loved the simple packaging and it feels well made. Only problem is the clicking is a bit louder than my previous mouse. Other than that very simple plug and play. The software to program the mouse buttons is fairly easy to use. Programmable lights look great. Well worth the money.
Works perfectly. Just plugged it in and Windows picked it up.
The keyboard feels robust and mechanical. The mouse is very responsive.
A bargin at this price.
Great for price. Was a little heavy at first but weights can be removed. No software link or anything in box, had to search internet.
Very good the quick dpi change work perfectly and has helped me get more precise with higher dpis’ colours are nice too me a little bit to find drivers but work really good and personal preference I don’t like the breath lighting functio
Good value for money. Smooth movement and responsive. The scroll wheel feels a little clunky and the two upper side buttons have a particularly loud click, but I wouldn’t expect perfection for 13. Also, the drivers did not need to be installed on Windows 10, although the included software is needed to change the function of the buttons (the download from the Tecknet site will not work for me, so I had to use the CD, which may be an issue for those without a disc drive who wish to change the button functions)
