I was a little disappointed at first as the drivers on the TECKNET site did not work(they need to update these urgently). I’ve read here and elsewhere of buyers being well put off by the ‘mouse not detected’ drivers. Which is a shame as it’s a bit of a gem for the dosh.
However I found the correct newer version of drivers that actually work.
If you find my clansite, the BN Nitwitts on Enjin. Go to the ‘general discussion’ then ‘mouse review post’. It’s huge and I’m doing a review on this mouse now. The site address for this working driver is there. Can’t put them here, they don’t allow it unfortunately.
Anyway, if you get a good one, it’s a brilliant mouse for the money, no question.
Always wondered what one of these generic mouse designs would be like with some extras added like weight, software and a few extra buttons. I’ve got a couple of similiar mice to this but without the extras. This is low to the mat and feels great to handle and should be quick in game, although at present not used it as such yet. Hoping to do that tonight. In my opinion this is a bit of a gem for not alot.
READ BEFORE BUYING for (DRIVER ISSUES/SOLUTION)
Yes I’m going to start with the “I never write reviews online but I just have to”
I came across a few issues, I am not a heavy gamer, I have not used the mouse for gaming much but as a regular mouse, it is very good and comfortable to use during long sessions of video editing. I got the all black model (tecknet raptor pro gaming mouse) and it is nice and discrete looking on the desk. Now the main issue, the mouse installs fine on Windows as a plug and play device, however, none of the customizable settings will work unless you install the drivers, easy you may think, but no!. the mouse comes with a small cd. but as I don’t have a disk drive I used the online driver from their website, it does not work and does not open on my Windows 10 PC build. the solution was to use an old laptop and insert the cd and copy the cd drive/exe file over to a USB and bring it over to the PC to install. it turns out the web drivers on their site are and old version compared to what they provide in the small disk. so the moral is use the disk provided and their site.
Bought this for my son to use with his PC as he was fed up recharging batteries for his wireless mouse. He is pleased with this product. He specifically asked for side buttons for use with his gaming. He didn’t have any problems with set up.
This mouse is lovely, and exactly as described, the only initial problem i had was installing the software as i have no way to read Cd’s on this desktop. at first i tried downloading the GM299 drivers from tecknet.co.uk, but for some stupid reason they didn’t recognize the mouse, so i copied the drivers onto my mums computer, and copied them across to my comp via an external SSD, clicked install and hey presto all working fine i love how easy it is to assign the extra buttons to different in game functions. the lighting on the mouse can be adjusted to whatever color i desire for each dpi setting, or all set to the same color theme, you can even assign one of the mouse buttons to turn on or off the RGB colors all in all im and very satisfied with my purchase, a fully programmable gaming mouse for less than an official Microsoft 3 button mouse!!!!
Very good quality for 12, all the buttons are easily accessible without moving your hand much.
Served its purpose, but it began to cut out after about 2 years because it has quite a big hole for the laser and I realised it got a small hair stuck in it which was causing the cutting out issue. If you keep it maintenanced well and don’t mind if it has an odd moment, then you will love it (especially for the price). It really was fantastic for the price and, to be quite honest, served its purpose well. Very comfortable in hand and a good weight. Used it for online gaming and fps games, and now keep it as a spare since it still works well.
The overall build quality is great.
Haven’t yet tried to program macros.
The counterweights add a pleasant feel while using this mouse.
Colors change according to DPI.
Mouse is great, however software doesn’t seem to work on windows 8.1 or 10
A very comfortable to use mouse, that has no noticeable delay, has a higher tracking speed than i could ever use, and looks cool af. Exactly what i needed. The rubber part of the scroll wheel came loose after several months of heavy use, but it was easily remedied with some glue.
I am not sure what benefits having a gold plated USB gives, however i do know that it is awesome.
They are really good just wish the cable was longer and the software worked bette
very nice mouse, cheap as chips and all the buttons work, software was easy to install etc. If i had one complaint it would be that the scroll wheel is a bit loose and i thought it might break easily but its stood up to heavy use so far.
Brought this keyboard just before Christmas, and what can I say, it’s an excellent quality keyboard, very good for computer gaming. The keys are so smooth to use, you can change the brightness of the keys, just overall a very nice keyboard.
At the beginning of February the FN key got stuck, so I emailed them explaining the problem in which they have sent a replacement to me.
Excellent customer service and a lovely keyboard.
This is an incredible mouse for the price. It’s got some weight, which is good, and has a nice ‘clickyness’. Obviously, it isn’t a fair comparison to a high end, expensive mouse, but for the price I wouldn’t recommend anything else. It has a braided cable too, which is a very nice bonus.
Great value for money, a good looking and feeling gaming mouse for a very reasonable price. My only con is the sensitivity is not very high , even when its maxed out on some games.
great mouse for the price. only gripe is having to spread fingers wider than usual to control left and right buttons, whihc can be a little uncomfortable.
Great product took me awhile to get use to its feel but once use to it great mouse only had it a few days but feels great and matches my set up perfectly, i’m having difficulty setting up the macro but that’s probably just me. Definitely recommend it if your thinking of getting it i got it in a deal but i would have bought this regardless!
Very good mouse. It feels high quality and the provided software is easy to use. The buttons feel nice to press and are very responsive. It feels and acts like an 100 mouse
I’ve not used this mouse extensively (for games) yet but I’ve had it for about six weeks now. I use this on my Steam Link box in the bedroom.
My initial thoughts are that it’s quite a nice mouse for the cost. It doesn’t feel light and cheap in the hand although, the buttons aren’t as firm or as reassuring as I would like. It’s not an issue yet though as long as they do keep performing. I guess for this price you have to except a compromise in the quality of some of the components though?. That said, it may out last my Roccat Tyon yet?!
Most Importantly though, it does perform well when put to use in general applications. Movement is precise but I must stress that I have not done any gaming with it yet. I have not used this in a Windows environment!
I cannot see why there would be any issues as this performs well without the included drivers installed.
The mouse illuminates in various colours and configurations but as I use this on a Steam link box it’s not possible to load the software. I’m not that fussed about how it lights up as this is located near my TV in the bedroom.
Overall, I like it and seems like a decent mouse. If my Roccat Tyon fails I will give it a go as my gaming mouse.
Brilliant mouse for gaming ! So cheap as well !!!
Love the fact that you can switch up your sensitivity on the fly. Very responsive. has multi coloured lights which breathe on and off and react to the the sensitivity of the mouse being changed.
I find that the plastic material used seems to be quite slippery, its quite hard to pick up and re position the mouse due to this.
apart from that it is the perfect little budget companion to Battlefield 1, overwatch and call of futy + many other PC Games.
it also makes a good mouse for normal use as well due to the fact that it has forward and back buttons which can be used on internet explorers whilst browsing.
I love this mouse when i bourght it and it came to my house i thought it would be more plasticy but its amazing its way better than i thought this is the best gaming Mouse In the World for its Price best quality Ever! 😀 I higly recommened you buy this mouse! 😀 if your a gamer or not it works for anythign! 😀
good except that the buttons have low resistance so if u r like me its easy to click it by mistakenly.
But for the money a very good mouse
I bought this mouse along side Rii Programmable Wired Gaming Keyboard 3 Color LED Backlit UK Layout Black and they look great together.
The mouse is responsive and the forward and back buttons that rest under the thumb are great but take some getting used to, its comfortable in the palm and does not leave the wrist aching, I use it for photoshop work so I need a comfortable accurate mouse and this certainly is that.
What a great mouse. Easy to programme with different settings for DPI. The CD with the software on is easy to install and the interface is clear. The lead length is fine and doesn’t snag. The coloured LED’s are a nice touch and each DPI getting lights up the top buttons in different colours making it easy to work out which one you are using.
I am left handed and even then the mouse is fine and easy to use.
I also use it for CAD.
I must give it 5 stars. I’m not a computer gamer at all, the only game I play is Kerbal Space Program. It was the red lights that caught my eye because I have an HP Beats edition laptop with red led keyboard lights and they look so good next to each other. It also has very good grip on the surface and feels perfect.
This is a relatively cheap gaming mouse, and as such I was pleasantly surprised by its functions. It is also durable, having survived a couple of rage induced throws. It sometimes has slight tracking issues, but overall a great mouse for the price that will last.
A little small and the red light shines a little too bright. But a great mouse for the price 🙂
I liked it, got a new mouse recently, but this was a solid gaming mouse!
Really nice mouse with a good feel to it, great price for what it is, I will be ordering more of these for the future.
Arrived in smart, undamaged packaging, NO SCISSORS were used to open it (it’s really easy there’s just a tab). Inside came instructions, information for a 2 year warranty (crazy good for the price this was) and also a CD with drivers for the mouse (allows you to set custom DPI, add macros, change keys etc).
The program itself was easy to use, well written (in good english) and was effective. Works well on Windows 7 x64 for me.
Lights are really nice and make the mouse look smart.
Overall a REALLY good mouse for the money.
Here I created video review on this mouse – […]
This is cool mouse and I really like it and as you can see in video I demonstrate it’s speed and it works perfectly. So as it’s size is good and it perfectly fits in your hand
Good cheap mouse, honestly I can’t complain at this price range.. the quality is perfectly fine and the (three) DPI settings work well for me, I use the medium option for most games.
I’ve had this mouse for about three or four months and its still going strong, It has a nice build quality, the plastics not too cheap.
Nice removable weights, again good quality.
Its got nice tracking, and very responsive.
The only problem was when i was playing tf2 and holding down the left mouse button, it stuck for a couple of seconds,
This has only happend twice and i use it a lot.
The side buttons are nice too, very clicky and not too spongey, which is a problem that many cheaper mice suffer that this doesn’t.
Also its got a very nice, pretty long, good quality braded cord.
Overall its very good for the money.
Definitely would recommend.
Accuracy is almost perfect and doesn’t feel cheap. DPI settings are easy to recognise by the red light near the DPI button.(none-1000/Dim-1600/Bright-2000). What I love about this mouse is the changeable weight, because you don’t normally get weight cartridges for mouse under tenner. I play FPS games and this mouse is suitable for theses kind of games. Packaging is very nice, looks like a retail package. the mouse itself sturdy and no input lag.It has a very aggressive look, and the pairing of a red and black colour scheme is a nice touch. I would recommend this product.
I ordered this mouse for a home use. It has helped my gaming quite a bit. It is quality built and I hope it holds up for the long run. I liked it so much I purchased one for work.
This is my first gaming mouse. I wasn’t sure about all the features but after reading reviews, I decided to chance it. I’m still getting used to the thumb buttons and the DPI settings but overall, I’m very happy with my purchase.
An amazingly great mouse for the price and it feels great in the hand. It feels better than pretty much all mice I’ve bought for the same price in shops like tesco, asda, pc world and etc.
It loses a star with me though because I feel as though it can get uncomfortable over time with people with bigger hands like I, but for smaller hands or for people that won’t be using it for extended periods of time it is a great mouse.
Very responcive and fit medium hands very well. Easy to get set up (plug in and play) and when you are in the dark you will always find it.
I definitely recommend this produc
The Redragon Centrophorus is a solid mouse for gamers, especiallyat such a low price.
Aesthetics/build quality: The mouse looks great, it has a distinctly Asian design with red highlights that set off the matt black body. The mouse is made from plastic, but it feels solid and well built to last. The black plastic is grippy and feels good in the hand. I personally like the red LED’s which illuminate the mouse although they are quite bright and can’t be turned off. A great touch is the braided cable which really makes the mouse feel more of a premium product and should ensure longevity. Well done to Redragon for including this in the design.
Design/Usability: Redragon have gone for a fairly standard setup here; L + R mouse buttons with a scroll wheel acting as a middle button on click. They’ve also included two additional buttons on the left side of the mouse, one of the buttons is ridged to make it easier for the user to feel which they’re touching without having to look down at the mouse. Nice feature. Just underneath the scroll wheel is the DPI button. Clicking this will cycle the mouse through its three DPI settings. The red LED beneath changes intensity to let you know which setting the mouse is currently at. I personally feel the middle setting is best as the mouse can get a little bit jittery on the highest DPI setting but this will come down to personal preference. The mouse has a lovely weight to it thanks to the included weight tuning cartridges.
The Centrophorus glides along nicely and the optical sensor seems very capable. I’ve been using the mouse to play Overwatch and I’m really pleased with how it’s performed so far. One thing I would ask you to consider is your grip style and hand size. If you have very large hands this mouse may be a little too small to use comfortably and it seems to work best with a fingertip grip. Palm grippers might find that the back of the mouse is a little too flat to be used comfortable with a palm grip.
Overall, Redragon have done a great job with the Centrophorus. It looks good, feels great and it’s a real bargain. If you’re in the market for an affordable yet stylish and good quality gaming mouse. Look no further.
Really happy with it! Feels nice and works like a charm! Love the lights!!
I have been using this mouse for a year now and its still in perfect working order but I am considering replacing it with a nice mechanical.
The price of this is brilliant for the quality. The cord is like a really thick shoelace, buttons are not too stiff or easy to press although I guess that is subjective and the LED light looks cool. I also like the matte finish and the grainy texture as it makes it really easy to hold and your fingers wont get all clammy or slide around. There are 3 dpi settings and I always use the slowest on as my monitor is only 21.5 inches so I don’t need the cursor to move fast.
Recently I have been experiencing a problem with the scroll though. If I lightly roll it then nothing will happen. I think it is starting to wear out but I just have to apply a tiny bit more pressure. I guess after another year it will be worse so I don’t expect this mouse to last forever. I still rate this mouse 5 stars though because it the the best mouse I have ever used in the price range.
Although it broke not too long after I bought it I was extremely pleased with the after care that they provided. A was issued a full refund without the hassle of returning the original which really pleased me. Still a great product and even if you somehow end up with a faulty product just know that they will treat you great afte
By far the best mouse I have had. I bought this mouse on a budget when i first got my PC and just needed something for temporary, Fast forward 2 years, still using the beast but have gotten a better job and have a 60 spare, decide to shop for a better mouse. Wasted 49 on an overpriced Mad Catz R.A.T 3 mouse. I have never had such a sturdy, powerful and Cheap mouse in my life, I play FPS shooters everyday and I would suggest this to anyone who does the same. The only thing i would complain about is that after 18 months the mouse wheel gets a little worn out but still used it and has never let me down. I have re-bought this and it feels like I’m in my prime every moment.
Works great, performance to price expectations have been met after a month of use. Only gripe is that official drivers have limited support for button mapping, have to use 3rd party software. Other than that, it’s a solid budget choice.
Great mouse for the price. Lasted longer than my Razer DeathAdder. Only issue I had was that the side macro was slightly unconformable for a little while with the little spots that dig into the thumb.
Superb mouse – lovely feel and looks great – overall great value for money. Loses a star at the software is essentially useless and I was unable to receive a reply from the manufacturer over several months – if you want to rebind the thumb keys to things like ctrl and shift you’ll need to use an autohotkey script.
The features at this price make this mouse a steal. If you’re looking for a cheap, changeable DPI mouse that isn’t too ‘in your face’ then you can’t do no wrong with this mouse.
The packaging gives the mouse a premium look and feel. The mouse is packaged well in a large ‘blister’ type housing. The black and red braided USB cable adds to the premium look and feel of the mouse. The cabling was lashed together with a velcro tie, handy to shorten the mouse when needed but some may find this annoying, I didn’t.
The left, right and main body of the mouse has a textured/matt plastic feel to eliminate fingers/hand slipping on the mouse. The central wheel is also textured but this has a soft has a rubber texture applied. The underneath of the mouse provides access to the 8 weights, which are removable (individually). The weights are held in place via a foam disc.
I found the mouse to work in both Win7/Win10. without the need for drivers, but if you wish to configure the side butttons you can download Red Dragon’s drivers from their website: […].
Overall a good mouse, responsive, cheap, hassle free drivers and a changeable DPI, can’t ask for more for under a 10.
Great value for money. A functional and comfortable mouse to use. The 3 speed DPI switch works as intended and easy enough to access but difficult enough to accidentally press. The additional two thumb buttons can be set to any function you need as the drivers use a generic 5 button mouse. Good weight and size for my average sized hands.
Really great responsive mouse for gaming. I usually have it on the standard setting setting but the highest setting is really sensitive. My only criticism is that one of the buttons on the side, its busted after maybe a month of casual use. I’ve tried to fix it without success. Mouse still works so it’s not the end of the world. Would recommend.
Good low cost mouse. Tough cord, DPI changing on the fly, enough buttons to be useful without being overcrowded.
The weight changing system works fine but I didn’t really mess with.
Lasted a while of being carted around in a backpack with my laptop. A severe bump knocked the focusing crystal out of the LED assembly but removal of screws and careful fiddling had it back working for another few months.
It succumbed to being stood on which broke the side buttons and rear cover but it actually still works as a mouse and is still around as my backup.
Hardy, sensative, looks fantastic, good build quality.
For the price you’d really struggle to find better.
Highly recommended
No need to spend stupid money on a gaming mouse unless you want a very high DPI, this is a great mouse mouse for the price, feels very comfortable and looks cool. Used it for a few weeks now for gaming and everyday use; performs great.
Fantastic piece of kit. It looks great, feels really comfortable and the accuracy is impressive for the price. Admittedly I don’t currently use it on the full 2000DPI, although my job requires fast and accurate data manipulation. I may even consider it for my Gaming PC at home when my expensive logitec is done.
Yes very comfortable and easy to hold I have not yet a a arm strain like from my older mouse and the wires have never tangled because a the rope material I also like the red light symbol and the fact that you can press the button to make how fast you cursor go’s.
Love it, Glad I bought it, the price is very good for the condition it came in.
If you are after a mouse with a button the speed you your cursor just with a click of a button and a nice firm grip well buy thus product it is amazing.
A very good looking mouse, with nice DPI settings. The weights make it feel far more stable for fast-movement gaming as well.
The cable-length is satisfactory for getting around even a moderately large desk, and its back/forward buttons worked in Google Chrome by default without having to set them up, which is a nice change for a gaming mouse.
The only issues I had with this mouse was that it quickly developed a mechanical squeak after a few days, although it is rare and minor, it is there very fast nevertheless. Also the lights have no button to be switched off and turning off your PC will not turn them off either unless you turn it off at the power-supply, which is rather annoying if you have the mouse in your sight when not using the PC.
Brilliant little mouse, extremely happy with it. The variable DPI is a nice touch as well.
If you’re concerned about clicking noise, this is a fairly loud clicker but it doesn’t bother me so not a negative point.
The scroll wheel is great as it has clear increments so scrolling is easier to control.
The form of the mouse is also great, very ergonomical (for my hands at least). I have average sized hands, but someone with big hands may feel this is a little small.
Price point is brilliant for a mouse of this quality.
Only got this a couple of days ago so haven’t really had time to give a gaming mouse a full review. It takes time to see how much of a gaming battering these take. However for the price this is a very well made/sturdy mouse. It has a good weight (with the internal weights in place – too light without). The illumination isn’t off putting. Ambidextrous mouse so good for rightys and leftys. The cable is braided so doesn’t snag.
For the price highly recommended for all users (not just gamers)… Get the drivers from http://www.eagletec.com/downloads/ though as the highest dpi setting is WAAAAAAY too fast.
Nice mouse, very good for the price, knocking off a star though as it does feel slightly in the cheap side (which it is, so not really that much of a criticism
Nice mouse with good weight balance and good design. Minus one star for the bright glowing diodes without a button to switch them off and because of some defect that does not allow to open the weights section to adjust them.
Had this mouse a few months and there hasn’t been one fault at all. This is one of the best mice i have ever used, would recommend even if you’re not on a budget. I was at the time, now even if I wasn’t I would get this.
Works well and IT HAS A RED DRAGON ON IT
DPI isn’t so important for me since I am only a DOTA2 player really but as described it has the 3 DPI speeds which scale nicely.
The cable is wrapped in a red/black pattern which looks nice. There is a lot of cable but there is an attached velcro tie.
I have had no problems with installing drivers – it is a plug-in-and-play usb mouse. very good.
Arrived on time, been using for 5 months now and still working well. Kicking bums in BF3 has never been easier. Definitely one of the best deals at this price range
If you are looking for a cheap, but plausible alternative for a gaming mouse, this one is the perfect find. Extremly good price-quality ratio.
It’s very well balanced, 2 buttons that can be customised from the driver, 3 dpi speeds, killer looks, 8 removable weights, braided wire with golden plated connector, teflon pads.
Looks and feels high quality.
Couldn’t be more satisfied with what I got for this price:
Haven’t been more impressed with a mouse before than I have this, I previously used a standard black 2-button mouse and the difference is phenomenal. Before I believed your mouse doesn’t make a difference but the freedom and mobility of this is insane. Having a great mouse and mat really does make a difference and for a price as decent as this I’d get it any day.
Very good mouse for the price. I have a Razer Deathadder too so I know what a good quality mouse feels like. For 11 pounds its great. The plastic is a matte finish and feels very comfy on the hands. The cable is great quality too – with a woven fabric of black and red. Highly recommend.
Excellent mouse – wish I’d bought the keyboard that goes with it. One of the cheapest and most efficient.
Great little mouse for the price, looks great aswell, whether it lasts as long as my Logitech gaming mouse only time will tell but at the price it cost if I get a couple of years out of it. I will gladly buy another..Should have bought a spare ..
I bought this for my friend as his old gaming mouse had broken and was really sad. When i gave him this mouse as a present he was really happy because it looked cool, didn’t lag and overall was great. Even though his mouse looks like a fifty quid mouse its less than 15! Its excellent .
Works excellently. I prefer the texture to that of my previous gaming mouse. Does however make a bizarre squeaking sound when moved to the left during clicking. Appropriate, perhaps, given that it’s a mouse. I use it on a mat of plain cardboard without issues.
Solid build, from good material. A bit too heavy for my liking so I took out all the extra weights. Looks nice too. Only issue I have with it is that in the evenings the light is too strong, especially when it is reflected on the monitor. Would buy again though.
A nice and cheap mouse for someone starting out into gaming, or just doesn’t have enough money for one of those insane ones with 8200 DPI. But it feels nice to hold and looks cool too.
My original gaming mouse was a 50 Logitech one which was nice but a bit too big for my hands. Due to age the mouse wheel became jammed and I was need of a new one. I saw this for cheap and as I don’t game as often as I used too I couldn’t warrant spending out on a higher brand.
It’s just as good as my old mouse if not better. Accurate movement, feels great everything you want from a mouse really.
Only downside for me but it’s my own fault for not really looking into the amount of buttons is that I would like more of them. There’s only two side buttons and the other ones it relates too are the left, right, middle and speed up/down button on top.
The best mouse I have ever used. The added weights make this mouse feel very high quality. Good ergonomic design. My hands are quite big bu it is still comfortable to use. The wheel is perfect; it doesn’t spin freely but it isn’t too resistant either.
very good mouse, feels gd to hold, nice weight and size, and looks cool, what more can you want? I don’t pc game but for the price and the fact I liked the look of it and with the added fancy setting of changing the speed at the click of the button well worth the money. the 2 buttons on the side for me make my web pages for back or forward, when I can be bothered I may see if I can change them to adjust the volume on my computer, not looked into this yet but that would be awesome lol
was completely plug and play for me on windows 7
Can’t beat this on value for a mouse; it’s comfortable, feels sturdy yet light enough to stay agile when trying to do anything from resizing windows to any type of gaming and customizable enough. If you need it a bit lighter, simply open the bottom and take out a few of the weights.
Best part is the DPI switcher – can confirm it works on Mac OSX and Windows 7+ without a hitch.
Can’t find any negatives, thoroughly pleased.
I’ve had this mouse for a week now and have to say that for the price it’s really great. The removable weights are a nice feature, though I have not removed them as with all in it’s still not too heavy. It’s smooth across surfaces and feels good to hold. Only goes up to 2000dpi but that is no problem as who really needs it to go that fast for gaming?
I didn’t buy this mouse necessarily for gaming, but it works very well as a normal day-to-day mouse. For the money you are paying, you are getting a sturdy, well made looking mouse. The design also looks pretty cool and there is a red dragon emblem where your palm reasts, which lights up, as well as other parts when in use. I’ve also purchased the Redragon mouse mat to go with it and the two work very well together.
Functional and not expensive. I am no mouse expert but this works great for me. The only down side is it lights up like a Christmas tree. Can be a bit embarassing if using in office. As far as hardware goes though, cannot fault it.
Bought from reading previous reviews and can happily say it was a great buy,
Looks lovely as I was expecting the black to look cheap due to some pictures but it is actually really nice,
I have a lenovo Y510p and the colours and finish is pretty much a match!
Not too heavy but there is an option to take more weights out,
Overall happy and would buy again!
Its a very nice mouse and works well, the only thing id say is that the third finger on my right hand feels really awkward while using it (i have massive hands lol) so i put both my middle and third finger on the right click. Other than that its a solid mouse and good value for money.
Feels very nice in the hand. Wheel could be a little more sensitive but otherwise a great mouse for gaming. Good value for money.
Not a bad mouse.
Bought it to replace a Logitech trackman, as the rmb had died.
It’s a nice little mouse. Bought one for my misses and one for myself.
The only problem we ran into was the fact that the LEDs wouldn’t turn off after my misses shut her PC down.
To fix it we just went into the Asus motherboard bios screen and changed the performance to Eco on the ex setup screen.
my first gaming mouse, in a word; amazing. this has made me so much better now that I don’t have to reach across the keyboard during a game. the only reason it didn’t get 5 stars is that the right mouse button squeaks (just like a mouse). it worked first time without manually installing anything. it did take 10 seconds for it to respond but I put that down to it installing it’s own software. definite buy if ur into gaming!
This gaming mouse is one of the best mice that I have ever came across and I am really glad that I had bought it.
The mouse is amazing, not only in price but also in features, the added weight and fabric wrapped cord make it feel premium for the price paid. The mouse itself is comfortable for extended periods of use.
The glow of the mouse looks great too!
I would highly reccomend buying this mouse
Does exactly what it says on the box. A little bigger than my last mouse. The lights are nice, but are definitely for gamers as it really has a fun appeal to it. It is easy to change modes of DPI using the button above the wheel, but no indication other than your own wit to know which one it has selected. This works well on win 8.1.
A good quility, well build mouse with a comfortable feel, but personally I find the DPI is a bit too low for the games I play, but its still a great bit of kit for any intermediate gamers, but personally I think the Cyborg Rat 3 is better.
Took a bit of getting used to as it is bigger than my previous mouse but I love it. Has improved my gaming and I am just a casual gamer. I can’t justify spending money on something like a Razer mouse which are too expensive, if you need a mouse get this!
I love this gaming mouse, it moves smoothly and very quickly. The grip is comfortable and the colour is great. I will be getting another one soon for my other computer. No complaints at all, it’s perfect for what we need, and can program the buttons aswell.
Really nice low cost gaming mouse. Great design and easy to use. FWD/BCK buttons are great too,
Only downside is that it is always illuminated even when the PC is off.
The mouse is the best mouse I’ve had so far, it is easy to set up, the buttons give good feedback when pressed and the keys are easily bound. Brilliant for a casual gamer and doesn’t cost an arm and a leg.
My only complaints are that the DPI setting doesn’t save when the computer is unplugged, however it is easily set again and that the left side feels a bit tacky.
The mouse has a great shape to hold with hand, the buttons are very useful and placed well.
The wire is pretty long allowing to setup mouse at computer and laptop.
Works well for female and male users. The colors are great love the design.
I would recommend it to a friend.
i bought this mouse for my daughters birthday cause she has a gaming computer and she said it was easy to use and it is highly responsive also it has a really comfortable grip
I have been using this mouse for quite a while now and I am loving it! I use this mouse almost everyday and I have not had a single problem with it. It looks and feels great, I mean the it’s aesthetically pleasing to any user who is wishing to use this as casual gaming mouse. I have tested this mouse with many games and it has excelled in every one I have played. The chord is a good length which therefore promotes it’s functionality.
I will keep this very brief as I think no one wants to spend endless time reading long-winded repetitive reviews.
Pros:
– Very affordable gaming mouse (easily spend x3 the price for this one)
– Nice “feel” under-hand with the excellent weights that can be adjusted for the user
– Braided mouse cable and solid USB connector (VERY big pro as I seem to break cables quite easily and these cables are more associated with high-end gaming gear and inside-computer wiring)
– Nice adjustable DPI, LED lights and suitable number of buttons
– Packaging, delivery and the box the mouse came in very sturdy and suitable.
Cons (more personal gripes):
– The lights stay on the mouse despite the PC being off and they cannot be turned off via a button. Easy solution is to unplug USB but still a little annoying.
– Would like the same mouse design but higher DPI but definitely not essential for everyday general use (I am an online FPS player so a fast mouse is required)
I hope all the above helps in your decision, especially if you are bordering on buying this mouse (I’d say buy it!). Like I stated, the cons are more personal gripes that I think could easily be sorted (since they are not fundamental and I would definitely still buy it despite now knowing these “cons”).
Otherwise, I cannot rate this mouse any higher if I tried.
I decided to buy a new mouse as my old, basic mouse was starting to fail. It had served me well, but I wanted to look into buying a reasonably priced gaming mouse. After a bit of deliberating, I bought this one.
First of all, I love the design. The colour combination of the black chassis with red lights is a winner, along with the red cable, which will easily distinguish it when I move my computer in the future.
I like the weight of the mouse. I have left all of the removable weights in and I find that this weight is perfect.
The mouse operates very well, fits perfectly in the hand and the buttons are placed very well (for right – handers!)
The three cursor speeds are great too. I tend to use the slowest speed for normal desktop functions and switch to the medium setting for gaming. The fast speed may be useful to me in the future.
All in all, a great mouse!
I am an 18 year old avid gamer and i bought this mouse a month or two ago and i love it. it has an amazing build quality and the mouse works brilliantly. i received the mouse in next to no time brilliant service would recommend to anyone
Very good mouse for gaming. Not so much for FPS’s but it is still a good mouse for everything else. I reccomend it highly.
I’m not a gamer but I wanted a mouse with extra buttons. This has been great in serving its purpose for me. The only thing is that the light doesn’t go off even when my laptop is in sleep mode. Apart from that minor gripe, this mouse has been perfect!
I have been using this mouse for 3 months now, mainly for gaming as an introduction to gaming mouses. I love using this mouse as it is well built and highly responsive. To date I have had no issues with it. As I stated I bought it as an introduction gaming mouse with the intention of buying a higher DPI mouse with more programmable buttons later on, but I am enjoying using this mouse so much that I don’t feel there is any need to purchase a different one for some time.
The lighting and design is very cool. The two main buttons have a nice matte fell to them. The wheel rolls nice and smoothly and the thumb buttons are well placed.
I highly recommend getting this gaming mouse.
I have been in need of a really decent gaming mouse for a long time now. I’ve been forced to use a very old model that didn’t have the weight and functions that I needed. However, at the same time, I didn’t need a mouse that had a billion buttons to control and a DPi that meant my mouse would shoot across the screen if I so much as breathed on it.
So steps in the Redragon Centrophorus. Not only dies this mouse look aesthetically pleasing, but it feels great as well. The DPi is adjustable from a small button on the center of the mouse, under the scroll wheel, allowing you to alter the sensitivity in three iterations, which I found much more useful than I originally anticipated. The weight of the mouse is fully adjustable as well, although I have found no real need to remove any of the weights from the mouse, but it is easy to do so, simply by removing the base plate and taking out the small weights located within.
And there are enough buttons for me to make use of in most gaming situations, even in MMo’s as well.
I know a lot of people like to have a million buttons to make use of for MMo’s, so they can scroll abilities and such, but simply having to two extra buttons on the side were a delight. Mapping them is easy in most games anyway, and they are situated in a place where I don’t accidentally press them over and over, but are there in pinch if needs be.
As I said before, the design is nice. Always a fan of black and red anyway, so it’s an instant winner for me, and the lights that you see in the pictures are exactly how they appear in real life. Some photos on Amazon paint a picture of the product poorly, and result in disappointment, especially when it comes to backlit items. This mouse? No problems there. The lights looks great.
So, overall, this mouse gets a five star rating from me. I’ve had no bad experiences, and it does exactly what they say it does. If you’re in need of a good gaming mouse, but don’t want to go overboard on design and function, then this one will suit you perfectly.
all my last computer mouses get damaged after 1-2 year. all were in the price range between 50-80GBP.
but this mouse has a very good optical design. it is even delivered with some weights and the cable is isolated so that it won’t get damaged that fast.
i am really happy with this product, because i think for that quality (design, performance, details) related to the price its a very good mouse.
Picked one of these up having worn my old mouse down when I started playing League of Legends. Slightly sceptical at first considering how cheap this is, but it absolutely delivers. Initial reaction is great – feels very comfortable, extra buttons are within easy reach, look awesome, very straight forward to use (No extra software needed, plug and play), and for a game such as League this is pinpoint accurate and responsive. Highly recommended, I’ll be looking at Redragon when I need to upgrade!
