All you need for wildlife observation in the wilderness. . N
I got this telescope to enjoy stargazing and planet/mood siting with my boys(13and4). They have thoroughly enjoyed this! I actually think I enjoy it more than my boys. It works well and the picture is crystal clear. So much better than our last telescope. It’s also well made and sturdy. We highly recommend!
This is great for the kids they are super happy they got to see the moon up close definitely giftable.
My personal experience highly won’t be helpful to most.
Let me start off by mentioning, I’m a newbie and have never owned a telescope before, but have been fascinated with the night sky & eager to learn more about astrophotography on my own since my new telescope arrived sadly it’s been overcast/cloudy 98% of the days. Womp womp.
First and foremost, I live by myself and am the LEAST handy woman when it comes to anything with tools or assembly (furniture, telescopes, etc.). So most people won’t be on the same struggle bus that I was on Personally, the directions were overwhelming, not clear, and not easy to follow (again consider the source). I tried searching for YouTube videos on how to put together and watched a few which happened to have a similar looking telescope. Once I gained a better understanding where to start, after the first few steps, it became easier to assemble. Likely assembling this will prob. take majority under 10 mins.
For having zero knowledge or expertise with telescopes, this appears to be a solid choice to buy as a beginner telescope for practice or could be good quality time parent/child activity especially if there’s a young learner who has shown interest in wanting one/discovering the night sky.

Refractor Telescope with Adjustable Tripod and Phone Adapter
Ever since I was a youngin’, I’ve wondered what it was like having
a telescope around to take in all the amazing views. Especially, the
night sky. That chance hadn’t happened until now and it is actually,
more than I imagined it would be……..
Quality:
I was excited when this telescope arrived, I unpacked it from it’s box
and sorted it all out, I did seem a bit overwhelming at first.. but once
I read over the guide and put it all together, all of that confusion went
away. I don’t much about telescopes, the terms, Etc. but I am learning
a lot as I use it.
To me this seems like a Quality telescope and it appears to be well
built also.
+ Following the guide, I set-up the 5×20 Find Scope first, which went
smoothly. Took a moment to figure it out.. but it was an easy task. I’m
sure that it will need to be fine tuned each time you move it. No problem
for me though, it’s well worth… it’s reward……
>> Price at Time of This Review: = $104.89 << OVER-ALL: I'm very glad that I ordered this telescope, as all of us are enjoy it. You will see some fantastic views. Prepare your mind for unlimited discovery...! I would Recommend this telescope, great for beginners like myself... Summer is a great time and being able to find something to do when the day gets so hot you don’t really want to be out with the sun glaring down on you – night is cooler and just looking up at the night sky isn’t enough. Allowing kids to find the different objects in the night sky can keep them occupied, especially if you have a clear night sky during a meteor shower or other event like Venus being especially bright, but even looking at the moon’s surface can be fun and interesting. My neighbor’s grandkids are just a tad younger than my two grandchildren, but they have all had a good time with this telescope. Understand this is not a professional telescope – this is just for those nights the kids want to look at the sky. In your backyard, at the park or if you have a local group that meets up on occasions to check out the sky, this is the one to have on hand. Being able to take a picture to share with friends and family is a big plus – might even get them to come out star gazing the next time you go!
Very solid and well made. Easy to set up and very easy to use. The focus has many settings, just twist the end and the smaller piece near the eye and you can see just about anything crystal clear. Highly Recommend.
This is a fantastic starter or travel telescope. Lightweight and easy to carry. Carrying case is great and makes it easy to store when not using. Comes with everything you need for casual gazing. Very clear instructions for how to assemble and use. Highly giftable.
This is a good telescope to start learning with. It’s not terribly complex and it is very lightweight and portable. The package comes with three lenses as well as a Barlow magnifier lens to provide a variety of magnifications. It also comes with a basic finder scope to help zero in on your targets. The tripod is lightweight and steady enough despite its being made of very flimsy material.
The phone holder is pretty flimsy as well and takes quite a bit of finagling to get a crisp picture. The connection is purely analog, so you’re basically taking a picture of the view through the lens. You can imagine how tricky that will be.
The instructions are not the clearest prose ever written. I imagine they probably used Google Translate to arrive at the text. As such, it might be beneficial to mention a few tips here:
– First, assemble and practice viewing on a recognizable object during the day.
– Use the K25mm eyepiece and align it with the red dot on the adjustment band.
– Center it on the recognizable object and use the focus knobs to make the image clear.
– Then affix the finder scope and center the scope on the recognizable object so as to align it with the lenses.
– After that, you can try out the other lenses for closer views.
– The three lenses (K25mm, K17mm, and K9mm) are labeled by their focal length, which is actually the inverse of the lenses power. Since you arrive at magnification power by dividing telescope focal length by the eyepiece focal length, the larger the eyepiece focal length, the lower the power. Use this equation to find the magnification power:
Magnification = telescope focal length eyepiece focal length
Or, for example:
16x = 400mm 25mm
– If you add the Barlow magnifier, you get 16 x 3 for 48x power for the 25mm eyepiece, ~70x power for the 17mm eyepiece, and ~133x power for the 9mm eyepiece.
– The phone holder is a little tricky to get the hang of. Use the three knobs to adjust placement of the phone so the camera is centered above the lens. You’ll notice that the camera must be placed some distance from the lens to capture the clearest view. It’s not very user-friendly, but it’s possible to get a crisp capture with a little trial and error.
We’re still exploring with it and will post updates when we get to view the full moon and any other night time spectacles.
