Camping in your Tesla is one of my favourite things to do while on road trips. Sleeping in the car has allowed us to:
1, enjoy great “glamping opportunities” outside formal campgrounds, with amazing lake views from the back window.

Could be slightly more stable on the head side for the taller people, and thicker for sleeping on the side. Other than that it does the trick.
Nach einer Hirnblutung blieb eine Epilepsie im Panoramastyle gibts so Mittagspause im Auto auf Reisen, beim skien (tatschlich nahe Talstation) oder unsere Erwachsenen Kids verbringen die Nacht auf dem Felde, Sternenhimmel inclusive.

Hab mir die Matratze bestellt, damit ich mit meiner Freundin spontan irgendwo schlafen kann ohne davor extra ein Hotel buchen zu mssen oder am Campingplatz ein Zelt aufstellen zu mssen.
Das Aufbauen hat sowohl allein als auch zu Zweit extrem einfach geklappt und war in wenigen Minuten erledigt. Welche von den 3 Matratzen wo hingehrt ist selbstverstndlich — der Harte” Teil gehrt natrlich zum Kopf. Das beiliegende Leintuch passt auch perfekt rauf und ist sogar der Form nach angepasst. Gesamt hat das Aufbauen (Sitze umlegen, Matratzen-Teile raus, ins Auto legen, Leintuch rauf) etwa 5–10 Minuten beim ersten Mal bentigt, geht bei weiteren Malen sicher noch schneller!
Platz hat man im Model 3 mit der Matratze zu zweit definitiv genug! Den Fahrer und Beifahrersitz am besten 5–10cm nach vorne fahren, dann hat man auch mit 180cm locker Platz. Wenn die Sitze nach ganz vorne gefahren sind, denke ich hat man auch mit 190–200cm noch leicht Platz!
Gemtlich ist die Matratze auch sehr! Der Schaumstoff in der Matratze formt sich super um den Krper” und das Liegen ist daher extrem weich.
Am besten noch gemtliche Polster mitnehmen (gerne mehr als 2 Kopfpolster, da dort bei den Trgriffen ein Loch ist, wo je ein groes Polster auf beiden Seiten sich super macht).
Das Abbauen geht noch schneller als das Aufbauen und dauert keine 2 Minuten. Wie in der Beschreibung auch steht, die Matratzen-Teile so in die Tasche tun, dass je eine Harte”-Seite unten und oben ist. Wenn dann so der Berg steht, denkt man nicht das das je da rein passt :D. Aber wenn man sich dann drauf kniet sieht es aus wie Magie und die Matratze geht komplett zusammen und man muss nur noch die zwei Schnallen zusammenstecken.
Gesamt kann ich die Matratze um den Preis einfach nur empfehlen, weil es einfach qualitativ eine komplett andere Liga ist, wie billige aufblasbare Luftmatratzen. Die TESCAMP Matratze erinnert einfach viel mehr an ein normales Bett. Habe bei einem Freund eine aus der USA importierte Model 3 Matratze getestet, welche mehr als das doppelte (ohne Importkosten) kostete, und da ist die TESCAMP meiner Meinung nach sogar um einiges gemtlicher, kleinere Tasche zum Aufbewahren und passt einfach besser ins Auto.
Freue mich schon auf den ersten langen Wochenend Urlaub, wo wir auf der TESCAMP im Tesla schlafen!
Super matelas, trs confortable, et parfaitement adapt la Model 3. Fonctionne trs bien, y compris pour les grands gabarits (je mesure 1,90m).
La housse de rangement est trs pratique et se loge dans le frunk ou le sous-coffre.

Die Matratze passt perfekt ins Model 3 und erweitert die Liegeflche durch harte Einlagen ber die Kopfsttzen hinaus. Somit hat die Matratze eine deutlich grere Liegeflche als die meisten anderen Lsungen welche nicht frs Model 3 designed wurden. Es ist praktisch, dass die Matratze gut komprimiert werden kann und es liegt sich verhltnismig bequem fr eine so kompakte Matratze.
Was soll man dazu gro sagen. Passt super in das Model Y, ist bequem, auf der Unterseite berbrckt es den Spalt zwischen den Kopfsttzen und in der Tasche passt es Easy in den unteren Kofferraum. Die Anleitung die dabei ist sollte man sich einmal anschauen und ab dann ist das alles fix auf und wieder abgebaut.

Beim Zusammenbau unbedingt darauf achten, das ein “harter Kopfteil” jeweils auf der Unterseite und einer auf der Oberseite in der Tasche liegt. Nur dann wird das Packma der Tasche entsprechend kompakt beim zusammenpacken..

Endlich eine Matratze die die komplette Flche ausnutzt! Ich fahre seit 3 Jahren Tesla Model 3 und habe natrlich auch mal in meinem Tesla (samt Campmode) geschlafen. Bisher hatte ich immer nur eine Luftmatratze, welche leider immer nach mehreren Stunden die Luft verloren hat. Zudem hielt sich der Komfort, insbesondere mit zwei Personen stark in Grenzen. Eine kostengnstige Alternative als Schaumstoffmatratze habe ich nicht finden knnen — bis jetzt.
Mit der Matratze von Tescamp kommt endlich ein Produkt auf dem Markt, welches ganz viele Punkte vereint. Eine Schaumstoffmatratze die auch bei zwei Personen ausreichend Komfort bietet und diese ist bei Tescamp sogar zertifiziert — keine Schadstoffe und gleichzeitig weich.
Preislich ist sie natrlich teurer als eine Luftmatratze, aber bietet hierfr auch viele schlaue Vorteile. Zum Beispiel sind alle Teile exakt so ausgeschnitten, wie die Form des Kofferraums ist. Gleichzeitig kommt noch ein Bettlaken inklusive mit dazu. Aufbau und Montage ist sehr schnell zu bewerkstelligen und bedarf keiner Anleitung. Einpacken geht ebenso fix und ist dank dem Memory-Schaumstoff zudem sehr platzsparen zu verstauen.

Then I spotted Tesmat and Tescamp. Two very similar products, one of which (Tescamp) was available on Amazon UK. After watching lots of videos on youtube I decided 200 was worth a punt over the alternatives. I don’t often camp, but when I do I’d rather be able to sleep reasonably well.
So why the Tescamp and not a blow-up mattress or mat?
Blow-up mattresses come in two types:
1) A generic double mattress
2) A specifically designed mattress for the model 3
For the generic, they’re too thick to go into the back of the Model 3. I mean they will physically fit, but due to the fixed metal parcel shelf its likely you’ll keep clashing with it and end up with bruises or worse; cuts.
If I’m honest I didn’t take the second option mainly because the tailored blow-up mattresses weren’t available at the time of purchase, it’s likely given they’re half the price that I’d have taken this option otherwise. That said any blow-up mattress is prone to leaks and punctures, so I decided for long term this alternative was best.
I did buy a camping mat. Like I said I don’t often go camping so I don’t have any expectations, but I knew having laid on it once that I wouldn’t get any sleep at all so the mat was a no-go.
So then I ordered Tescamp, and I had some reservations but I remained openminded.
When the case arrived, it was in a strong neat nylon bag with handles at either end and is double zipped. The bag is sized to fit into the sub-truck (US name, frankly I don’t have a name for it). It must be said; yes, it fits in there, but the false floor no longer sits flush once the bag is in place. Its not a huge problem though as it doesn’t impede the loading space at all. Unfortunately whilst the bag physically fits in the 2019 frunk, closing the bonnet is a struggle and it felt like it was going to put stress on the release mechanism so I decided against any risk and used the sub-trunk.
Opening the bag you find some simple instructions and a very soft fitted sheet to go over the mattress to add a level of hygiene and a touch more comfort.
Under this, three Z- folded sections, each with 3 memory foam pads/blocks. The material covering the mattress is grey, soft, and really rather plush. All three of the sections are compressed under two strong nylon straps which snap together. When you release these the mattress slowly grows to roughly twice its compressed size, still sat in the bag.
Next I dropped the seats in the Model 3. The lower seat does actually come out but the Tescamp mattress is designed to work with it still fitted, so the seats don’t drop completely flat, instead leaving a small 5% incline.
It quickly becomes apparent that the mattress has top, bottom, and fitted sides to sit snugly within the Model 3 boot. This design, coupled with the Velcro strips on the underside of the mattress helps the three sections stay locked in position, so there’s little to no chance of even the more restless sleepers rearranging it in their sleep. At the top of each section theres a hard board designed to support the overlap over the edge of the dropped seat. It works well, I had no issues once they were in place and it extends the sleeping space to a decent size.
Then the mattress cover over the top. This tucks at the top, beneath the dropped seat to pull it tight and to keep it from coming loose in the night. The bottom of the sheet tucks under the removable section of the Model 3 boot floor, and because the pads are sized with this section in mind, when the bed is made up you can still lift the mattress and gain access to the sub-trunk as they call it in the US. A nice touch is the 2 labels on the sheet telling you exactly which is the top and bottom.
The time it took to make the bed hmm, no more than 5 minutes. Little effort or fuss, very easy. Once the bed is made you can pop the bag back into the sub-trunk still with some space inside the bag for anything you don’t need to hand.
So far so good. Now to sleep.
Initially when laid on the mattress it was comfortable despite the slight incline. Its firm but supportive. Rolling on your side is fine, there’s no unnatural hip position and I didn’t feel like I’d have any problem sleeping. After an hour watching some Netflix though, I must admit the mattress just felt a little too hard. This is my preference, it wasn’t torture buy any measure, but I feel like softer foam at the top of the mattress would improve comfort. Some of this may have been due to sleeping on a slight incline, but still, I think a small tweak could make this a better product. Adding a topper to this would help, but then you’re already defeating the purpose of the neat, well thought out packaging of the mattress in the bag, plus you’ve already paid 200 for what you’d hope would be a comfy sleeping solution.
Travelling light with this mattress is a real benefit, one I appreciated. So in the end I slept pretty well, got 7 hours sleep with no breaks, and I didn’t wake up with any aches and pains. I didn’t struggle to get off to sleep whatsoever.
In the morning packing away is nearly as easy. The only complication is kneeling on top of the three sections folded back together (you’ll need to make sure the boards sit top and bottom to allow the compression of the foam), before snapping the straps back together and zipping the bag back up.
So would I recommend the Tescamp? Yes I would. Its more expensive than the inflatable equivalent, but its more convenient and will last longer too. Yes it could be more comfortable, you’d not be fooled into believing you’re sleeping in a real bed, but overall it served its purpose well and I cannot complain about the quality of my sleep. That softer foam would be a welcome change, and maybe Tescamp would be open to the suggestion and make a small tweak.
I also found this mattress surprisingly comfy. The material definitely caught me off guard as it has a nice velvety like fluff on top of the memory foam, yet the mattress itself is also pretty supportive. It also comes with a free bed sheet and carry bag which maximises storage with the bag’s built-in fasteners.
I keep my mattress permanently in my frunk because it fits in there nicely. Buying this just gives me further accommodation options, current staycation prices are a little crazy at the minute so a product like this can pay for itself in just a couple of nights according to my calculations. Overall, its just a great handy product to have. Even more so if you enjoy your camping.
I’ve tried quite a few different designs of Tesla beds and this is by far the best I’ve purchased. Many I have returned as they were of cheap quality or didn’t fit correctly.
I was a little unsure of how much to spend on a Tesla bed but this ‘definitely is worth the money’. The memory foam bed, sheet and bag are all of high quality. Its comfortable to lay on and doesnt take up a lot of room when fitted. Which means you get more leg room and space to move around on. The bed fits perfectly into the sub trunk in your boot meaning you do not lose any space when travelling. The instruction manual is simple meaning its super easy to fit and pack back away in under 5 minutes.
Its really great that it comes with it’s own fitted sheet and everything appears to be machine washable which is a big bonus if you’re planning on adventure trips like myself. I would highly recommend this product to anyone that was thinking of joining the Tesla camping groups! I’ll be sure to keep this with me all the time. Well done TESCAMP – A superb quality Memory foam car mattress which fits perfectly and is as described. 5 stars (Dont buy the cheaper models – make sure you stick with this and save yourself the hassle of having to send others back!)
Edit: after fitting this a few times I can even do it now in the dark quickly and easily. I keep the bed with me all the time in the drunk or sub trunk. Fits nicely into both ends.
