This is such a great little cooker and am constantly using all the features, it never ceases to amaze me how well it cooks, Bonus is the savinng on energy.
Bought this one because of the self-cleaning feature, which is quite handy. It has everything you need: grill, MW and convection oven, and you can mix the cooking methods. Has worked very well.
It is good value for money, though the build quality is a bit tinny – I have a bit of bent cardboard preventing the case from rattling! For some reason, on mine the protective plastic film was very reluctant to be removed. Nevertheless, it works very well.
Simply a brilliant microwave with lots of room and yet not too big on the outside
Also Towers are a great company to deal with should any problems arise .they couldn’t be more helpful .
Thoroughly recommended.
This is a quality product which is both a powerful microwave and a combi oven, which makes it extremely versatile.
It is straightforward to operate and has a large capacity – 28 litres – as well as 900 watts power.
Recommended!!!!!!!!
I love it and it will not go rusty like the last one.
It easy to use but the grill take to long
Haven’t been able to use this yet,as I’ve been in car crash, but it looks good & I look forward to using it when I’m well enough. Thanks
It’s fine but the book is silent on mixing microwave an convection or grill. So haven’t tried that yet.
This microwave can do so many things and is more powerful than my previous one. Still having trouble setting up the extra 2 yrs warranty. It has a booklet with a few recipes in. But I will say I have poor Eyesight. So the print is far to small. Another thing online it says about the ECO button, which says saves energy. But I didn’t realise this is a switch machine on, Not clear enough online. But would advise people to give it a try
Liked everything aout this oven.It works very efficiently.Used convection oven.Easy to use.Does everything I need and looks great.
The capacity and power is amazing , ideal for a family.
Multi use as this is a oven and microwave.
The dials are easy to understand and you just turn the dial to set time and press.
The oven produces great cooked food too.
Easy to use and clean and a good price too.
Just the best ,easy to use on all programs. Perfect results.
Nice size to take larger dishes. Conventional cooking takes longer than normal fan oven.
I’m fussy about my combi ovens, the main thing they need to do is cook Jacket Potatoes well. This Tower KOC9C0TBKT Dual Heater Combination Oven with Microwave/Grill/Convection Oven was put through its paces for a few months, not just with potatoes but with other meals and drinks.
You get the glass stand in a separate section once you open this (it can be used for all the functions) and a metal tray inside that can be used for the oven and grill. Other microwave safe and oven safe items can be used but you do need to be careful with the microwave mode that the item is microwave safe.
The booklet is pretty good and goes through all the items you can use with each function. The start was a bit if a mess to read with lots of small writing but the upshot is;
Don’t put it somewhere that it can’t vent the hot air, like under a shelf
Don’t cover the top or back
Put a bowl of water inside when you first use this and set it to grill for 5 minutes to get rid of the coating they put on before using this for food.
Other than that, it’s very straight-forward to set up and use, though it is a bit heavy, so may need 2 people to first take it out the box.
The first take-away from using this is that it’s really easy to clean. Although the other listing here specifies steam cleaning, both of these have it and it does work well.
The easy to use display and buttons on the right make it a joy to use. For combi cooking (where it automatically uses all) it’s a little more complicated, you need to press combi and then press convection to choose the temperature before setting a time but it’s not rocket science all the same.
The only issue I had with Combi is that it doesn’t seem to cook as fast as my old Panasonic and the oven section isn’t used as much. This means my all-important Jacket Potatoes didn’t really cook as quickly or go crispy. But all was not lost! Setting it up manually to cook them on the oven setting then finish on the microwave setting made a huge difference. It’s a little disappointing that there isn’t a Jacket Potato setting on the oven, as there are meat and vegetable settings.
Overall, then, I’m impressed with the build quality and cooking experience of the Tower combi unit.
I am very pleased with this microwave, I took some time in deciding which one to have, and I am very pleased with the result, it cork’s very well, extremely easy to clean, very easy to use, and also looks very smart in the kitche
This is a fantastic microwave.
The design is gorgeous and the black colour is so stylish.
It works easily and fantastically, i have no issues here at all.
It is a fabulous quality and value for money.
5 stars!
Protective plastic film very difficult to remove especially where lapped into door opening and control panel fixing. Many people with hand problems would not manage. Difficult to find an edge to start with.
when microwaving such as potatoes the steam released is not extracted well resulting in the door and interior getting very wet which drips when door opened.
Protective plastic film very difficult to remove especially where lapped into door opening and control panel fixing. Many people with hand problems would not manage. Difficult to find an edge to start with.
Excellent item, easy to operate and cleaning is simple and effective. Would recommend.
Really good Microwave, combination, Grill and convection oven. It will even cool down the oven after use for you.
Very easy to use with easy to use menus or just set your own.
Oven/combi oven temperature’s are spot on. First combi oven that I have had that has the right temps for the ovens.
Would highly recommend this Combination Oven with Microwave/Grill/Convection Oven 5*’s all the way
Fantastic microwave. All the features, microwave, grill and oven work exceptionally well. The oven is so so handy and heats up much quicker than the main kitchen oven. It is the perfect size for most day to day dishes. We’ve cooked pizza, roasted veg, chicken, pasta bakes and everything turns out as perfect as it would in a normal oven. The microwave has a clever beep that keeps sounding until you open it to remind you to grab whatever is cooking, great when you’re running around cooking a meal and might forget about something you left in the microwave. I haven’t used the grill for much yet, only toasties, but again, no issues heats up quickly and makes beautiful food. The microwave looks very stylish and it super easy to wipe down to clean. Love it, my new favourite kitchen gadget!
Arrives in a large, nicely branded cardboard box, so well protected for transport.
Inside the large combi oven is packed with the large glass turntable & metal grilling stand packed separately so they don’t get damaged.
The extra large glass plate [12.79″/325mm] allows larger plates/containers/foodstuffs.
The combination microwave oven itself measures 15.78″ x 20.19″ x 12.24″/40.1cm x 51.3cm x 31.1cm, so may take up a little more space on your worktop than your old microwave. It has an internal volume of 28l with the average for home microwaves being 23l. So plenty space for cooking joints of meat or whole chickens.
The 900w output for the microwave is at the higher end for home machines so things will cook/reheat quicker. The grill puts out 1250W, & the convection oven 1250W.
The oven will heat up to 220C/428F which is nice as many smaller appliances only get up to 200C/ 392F. The interior of the oven is a “honeycomb” metal design to distribute the heat 15% more evenly. When using the oven you have to take care as the exterior of the oven will get very hot. So don’t store things on top of the oven & be careful of things adjacent to it. [I have a stand mixer with a plastic dust cover that I have to move away when using the oven function].
There is a digital timer on the oven, unfortunately it only goes up to 60 minutes. Obviously some roasts may take longer but I just use this as an opportunity to check on how its doing. There is also a cool down function & repetitively beeping “done” alarm that goes off, but you can learn to live with them.
The controls are easy enough to master once you’ve read through the instructions & the more you use the 10 power levels / 5 auto-cook menus the easier it is. [1: Roast Pork, 2: Roast Beef, 3: Roast Chicken, 4: Baked Fish, 5: Fresh Vegetables].
There are also Defrost, Steam Clean & Keep Warm functions.
One thing I think is missing is a mini guide/cookbook so as to enable you to better understand how to use all the functions together. Yes there are the 5 Auto Cook menus but if I want to try something new or slightly odd a deeper understanding of how to combine the functions would be good, say making “breakfast egg & bacon cupcakes” or baking filled pastries using an convection & microwave setting?
One thing I found a little disconcerting was when using the grill or convection you get some alarming clangs & creaks as the elements heat up. I know things expand but it sounds alarming. Also from time to time the turntable makes more noise than expected, like its slipping a belt of gear somewhere. But as I said its very intermittent.
On the whole I’m loving it. Living alone I don’t want to heat up the large oven for one person, yet its large enough that I can cook a whole large chicken in there. Its also easy to clean [as I found out after the exploding potato incident! which was totally my fault]. I’m quite sure I’m not using it to its full potential but will do so as I learn more about the machine. I’ve tracked down some combination microwave cook books to help me fully realise what it can all do. So far everything I have cooked has come out tasting great, nicely cooked & in a fraction of the time that it would usually take. I also like the look of it, black “whitegoods” are a good thing in my mind, look great.
At the moment its selling for 123.99 which is very competitive when you compare it with other machines of similar size & function, so I’ve no worries about giving an honest thumbs up recommendation for this Tower Combi-Microwave.
Product Appearance: Silver cabinet, simple and elegant, it goes well with my cabinets
Heating effect: convection heating, heating quickly, very smart
Cavity size: 28L is enough for home use, very large
Easy to clean: It is very convenient to clean, as long as it is cleaned, it will be shiny, and it has its own sterilization effect.
Operation difficulty: The multi-function menu is very convenient and practical to operate.
Noise level: The sound is not loud in operation, much smaller than the traditional microwave oven before.
I got this sent to me to review – I love it.
In fact I then ordered a matching kettle and toaster.
I sent my old microwave to the tip.
Works really well – Easy to use.
The grill and oven are adequate – most combined units are the same.
The microwave part is excellent and so it gets full marks from me.
This is such a great combo oven. The features are easy to use (read manual fully) and the safe self cleaning option is probably the best feature. The heating times are so quick due to the 900w. The 28 litre is more then big enough for feeding your family. A tad on the bigger size but, worth the space taken up. GREAT product.Follow me on here daily reviews and/or answering questions on the products reviewed
This is my first Microwave/Oven and i have to say I am really happy with it. Obviously dont have anything else to compare it with but so far got no complaints.
This microwave is quite big so takes some space on the countertop but its good because it means the inside of it it’s quite big too so you can easily fit big plates and bigger things in it.
The booklet offer quite extensive insight of it and how to use it.
Totally recommend it.
Yes it’s a microwave/cooker/grill.main reason I purchased it was for cooking/grilling but have got around to it.just been using for microwave.which is very good.nice and big turn table.cleaning function.which I need to use.it was a good price as well.I would buy it again.
The machine itself with allot of settings to choose from. What would be good though, would be to have a more accurate temperature reading from inside the oven. You do get a little red light which tells you if your up to temp, like with most ovens but I don’t think it’s as accurate as you’d want.
I think the larger price point (around 126 at the time of purchasing) is certainly more than other competitors, but this one is allot larger.
All the oven dishes I’d usually use in my larger oven fits this one fine, which would have been unlikely to fit if I went for a smaller alternative.
Its interior is stainless steel, plus a glass of water and choosing cleaning options, steam cleaning should be easier to keep clean. If it functions as a microwave oven, it is fully capable, no problem.
Overall though, it is handy to have. I haven’t used my larger oven since purchasing, but I haven’t yet to stop using the halogen oven either.
With it slick design, Huge 28 Litres capacity and 900 W, this Microwave is very Handy and works fantastically. the Grill is good enough but doesn’t replace a traditional oven in my kitchen. But i do love the self-cleaning feature as traditionally my microwaves always got dirtier and dirtier over time.
In short i definetely would recommend i
The Tower KOC9CSTT heat combo oven with microwave /grill options is a big one!
I got a lift from work but needed help to carry in ,it’s very stylish ,arched interior for maxim heat .
The three year guarantee is very handy ,I have only uses it to grill cheese on roast but was very quick .
It really dominates my kitchen looking forward to some serious cooking now.
Self cleaning too!
Tower KOC9C0TBKT Dual Heater Combination Oven with Microwave/Grill/Convection Oven Functions is absolutely an excellent quality product that is very stylish and easy to use. It has 900 watt power and huge 28 litre capacity in black outside and stainless Steel inside. Yes you have read it right microwave oven with stainless steel. I never thought that I could even put anything of metal rest lone stainless Steel shiny metal in the microwave but technically is evolving at a rapid pace.
It has self cleaning (steam cleaning) function so no more chore of cleaning after cooking of warming food in the oven. I know from experience that once those splashes gets hard backed, it takes a lot of elbow grease to clean up but with this oven, put a cup of water in it and set it to self clean mode and once finished, just wipe clean with a damp microfiber cloth.
It is a combination Oven 3 in 1 so you can combine conventional Oven with microwave to cook food faster and easily. 32cm turntable is huge and virtually whole chicken can be roasted in it. Plenty of room to cook family sized meals. It distributes heat evenly to all sides.
Negatives:
I have tried to make a toast but despite giving full 11 minutes of recommended time it was still not toasted. I gave another 6 minutes and toast was hardened but no colouration as I like my toast done perfectly. Toast just came out as it is apart from being hard. I don’t like my toast without pink colouration. So I think there are couple of reasons. 1 the rack for grill is too low, if it was high even 6 inch high it would probably do better. 2 the power of grill is probably not enough. So I am a bit disappointed with the grill. Hence I deducted a star.
Overall it a very well manufactured oven and look sleek and designer with plenty of functionality. It is a very versatile product which is easy to use and clean but grill is not up to the job. 4 stars from me.
First impressions looks good , stylish and a very nice size but looks like a button festival.
The instructions are ok , you get paper booklet with lot and lots of information in.( It’s takes a while to read)
We are having to keep the booklet on top of the microwave just for easy reference at the moment .( It could do with a easy guide sheet).
Unfortunately before you even start to use the microwave you have to remove the protective film around it and in doing this it pulled one of the sides out.( It was easy to push it back in but you shouldn’t have to).
I could that this combination oven door is low to the worksurface so we have had to move out plate/pan racks?
For me the hardest part is getting used to it being a combi oven as we only had a microwave before hence why we are keeping the booklet handy at all times as my girls will just push button as they please.
Absolutely great price point.
Good microwave, easy to use, more complex functions. Only downsides are the annoying beep every 30 seconds after it finishes cooking, I KNOW SHUT UP! any way to turn this off?
Other downside is the cool down feature when I actually want it to cook a bit longer, usually I just press a couple of times for more cooking time but this won’t let you.
Its quicker than my previous microwave and easier to clea
I wanted it to be a good buy but i am not to sure about the ovens functionality, some good some not so much.also the timer only does 1 hour which i thought would not be a problem but as got annoying now.
You have to adjust and compromise a little if your last combi was a good one.
I like the easy clean and with no elements in the way makes it really easy.
The thing they could improve on are the symbols on the front, they are far too small and I think with cleaning they will eventually disappear so hang onto the instructions, so apart from that I am happy with the cooker.
Easy to use & quieter in comparison to other micro /convection ovens
The grill isn’t great but everything else ok. Oh, only thing is annoying repeated 3 beeps when it’s finished cooking time which seems unnecessary – loud beeps as well.
Had it a few months now. Very pleased with it. We use the convection oven very often. Good that temp gets up to 220 as some of these combined ovens only reach 200.
Was tricky to register for 2 year warranty and needed a couple of emails as originally only offered one year. Makes fantastic Yorkshire’s, usual microwave functions and failed miserably as an oven for cakes. Cooked on outside and liquid in the middle and I never have a cake failure! Nice looking, easy to clean. Mostly happy just sad about cakes.
I rarely use a grill in one of these as I prefer my George Foreman but George does not work well if there is a bone. Most used are the microwave and convection oven both of which are quickly mastered once the instructions are read thoroughly. This is a 900 watt beast so plenty of heat whatever you are cooking. I detest the soggy uncooked skin you get in a KFC . With this you can turn the skin on a bone-in chicken breast into a delicacy. I cook the breast bone-up for 15 minutes at 190, take it out of the oven, turn it and pour half a cap of dark rum over it then cook for 30 minutes at 210. Wow.
My only reservation is that the booklet does not suggest food for each setting. The one that people are hesitant about using is the microwave/convection combination cook. If you convection cook a joint of beef you may cremate the outside but leave the centre bloody. Use the combi and the convection cooks the outside and the microwave cooks the inside so you get a more even cook in less time.
Please remember to keep metal objects out of the oven if the microwave is in use either alone or in combi.
As well as efficient microwave saves time and money heating up conventional oven for a small meal
Arrived quickly. Very well packaged. What impressed me was the user friendly instructions. Recommend.
I am disabled and could not use oven or hob, this is a brilliant oven and cooks well and easy for me
