Great router for a variety of different jobs. Have used mine for grooving shaker style doors when I don’t have the table saw handy and also rounding over. Great product.
I have had a few routers in my time, this is bar far the best one ever. The on off switch is at your finger tips and the 3 stop adjustme wheel is a great idea.
I was looking for a battery router when this small unit caught my eye. Now after using this small trend router I am glad that I purchased it, also you rapidly get used to having the power cable.
Many thanks.
Lightweight and ideal for use with my Leigh dr4 dovetail jig
Used many times now. Great amount of power. Easy to use and setup. Highly recommended
As you would expect from Trend. This is a great little lightweight router.
Works perfectly with the Trend MT/Jig, not too bulky so you can see what your doing with ease.
I have just upgraded a Bosch POF 500A after many years of long reliable service. I had initially looked at both the Bosch POF 1200AE & Trend T4, trying both units before purchase. The Bosch 1200AE is a powerful, sturdy router, but bit vision is slightly restricted as the body is large and on/off trigger meant some jobs would be an issue.
The Trend T4 feels very much like the Bosch POF500A, but just better. The extra weight, makes the router very stable and the 850W adjustable power is ideal. I think the built quality is slightly better with the Bosch 1200AE, but the Trend T4 so far has been a great upgrade and I recommend the purchase.
Trend routers a bit pricey than the other but well worth the extra.
Nice quality router that is perfectly suited for the smaller DIY jobs that it was purchased for.
Great light weight router, powerful enough for most jobs unless you require 1/2inch bits on an “industrial” scale. Used for hanging 11 oak doors and didn’t miss a beat! Worth looking around for best deal as some appear cheaper but then you have to pay postage etc. Absolutely no issues.
great small router got it specifically for the hinge jig and its perfec
I already had one of these Routers, their excellent value for money and the delivery time was very good, I got years out of my last one .
I ordered this router specifically, because I know how good they are! I’m a carpenter of 40 years experience, and it does EXACTLY what it is intended to do.
Bought as a birthday gift for a friend. He is delighted with it and impressed with how easy it and effective it is to use. I have several routers and have been trying this one out for size as a lightweight unit and will buy my own soon. Very useable and has several points over my lighhweight bosch.
Super pour le prix! Acheter pour pouvoir utiliser le gabarit pour faire des queues d’aronde de la meme marque, content de cet acha
great piece of kit and at the time was the cheapest i could find it for. arrived on time and as described, great selle
A very useful router just what i needed for hinging all my doors made the task much easier also great for locks
Great baby router, needed fittings round the base to be tightened up, otherwise good.
This is an amazing piece of kit. The quality is obvious when you first hold it. I’ve used it to route letters into wood with the Trend stencil kit and this will pay for itself in no time at all. Feels really safe to use despite the cutting ability.
Bought this router elsewhere as am emergency replacement spindle for my CNC router to finish an urgent project. Didn’t need the base (which is a bit flimsy but to be fair it’s a light use router). Strapped it to my CNC machine and was good to go. Saved my bacon! If you are looking for everyday use then you are probably best looking elsewhere, however it does the job in a pinch as long as you don’t push it too hard.
This router is an exceptional tool easy to use and great value for money.
Purchased this for routering the hinges on oak doors. Great piece of kit and had no problems with it at all.
Perfect for me i wanted a router for my hinge jig it’s not too big and ideal for what I needed
Makita made better ,but for value doing job excellent.feels cheap plastic material, box closing mechanism bit struggling, but for 56.00 do job very well .
I bought this router for use with a hinge jig, perfect for the job, light and easy to use gone are days of chopping in hinges with a chisel, a good price and delivered quickly I could not be happye
Not used this as my husband uses it for work, but he hasn’t complained, so must be okay and working well.
Bought as a fast lightweight second head on a 8 x4 CNC table. Better for carving, Fine lettering and small detail work. Not for continuous use but an economical option for my varied workload.
I bought this else-where, at a bit more expense. I’ve just spent the past two days using this and doing lots of different things, including edge moulding, grooving, rebating and dovetailing. I’ve had no issues at all. After reading the other review for this I gave the router a thorough once over and all seems fine.
I originally bought this as I was having compatibility issues with my other Ryobi router and the Trend CDJ300 Dovetail jig that the Trend Unibase was unable to solve to my complete satisfaction.
I’m very happy with my purchase, the only down side being that it doesn’t have a fine depth adjuster fitted. However the router instructions give you a part number for one (FHA/009) and I’ve just ordered it from Amazon at about 15 including p & p. TREND FHA/009 FINE HEIGHT ADJ T4
A cheap’ish but capable little router and is supported and compatible with Trend accessories.
I probably will not take it out of the mounting base and have a go at carving as it seems you can. I’d like to but I can see that would only lead to all sorts of centring issues when you put them back together.
I will have a look for something else to do that kind of thing, any ideas?
