1, It is designed as a 2 in 1 floor lamp, the base is simply not big or heavy to make it normal as a table lamp. However, this cause the top heavy when it as a floor lamp which its gooseneck angle is not adjusted well.
Please try to put the base to corner or on the bed bottom or sofa bottom and keep the gooseneck curvature sufficiently curved so as to eliminate the problem of top-heavy. Please pay more attention to this before getting it.
2, The light bulbs are embedded into the head and cannot be replaced, as is quite common with most LED products; However, its lifespan is long and the lamp head is replaceable.
3, It is NOT compatible with wall switches.

Very easy to assemble and position. Controls very easy to access and use although I tend to use only one setting so only use on/off control regularly

I have been pleased with the TROND floor lamp bought in 2018 but had a problem when the plastic ‘dummy earth’ prong on the LED plug broke off so it couldn’t be inserted into the socket. I contacted customer service who arranged for a replacement to be shipped from China free of charge. The lamp now works perfectly again – thanks very much indeed!

Better if: it had a remote; it had a longer lead; the charging port was USB-C; you could buy more leads.

I have this set over my desk to see the keyboard and diary etc. The easy to angle lamp is really good, set to just the right angle for me. Arrived quickly and easy to assemble. Not sure if it would look as good in a sitting room, but as office furniture, can recommend

This lamp was purchased for use by my wife to enable her to continue knitting as her eyesight is not so good these days. She is now able to knit as normal with the floor light in use. The adjustable brightness and colour levels of the light output are brilliant. I am sure they will be very useful for many people with normal or varying degrees of sight problems. From my experience please be assured you can purchase the floor light with full confidence. In the very unlikely event you have any problem or query about the lamp the customer service from Trond is excellent. A rare thing these days I have found.

Light touch controls easy adjustment a really excellent product at a very reasonable price.
I use this light everyday, I wouldn’t be without it now. I intended to use it just for my knitting and crocheting. However, it is so useful that I use it even when not crafting. My husband likes to sit in very dim light but now I have this, he can still sit in low light while I can bathe in a small pool of light just right for my needs. The adjustment to the brightness/white/yellow light is also a great feature, too.
I thought it was a little expensive compared with other lights bring offered. But I want to see if “temperature” made a difference. It does. Great illumination but not a glaring light that hurts your eyes.
It’s sturdy. It’s not going to be knocked over nor does it wobble.

Initially I tried the light in the daytime and wasn’t impressed but during the evening I was surprised at the amount of light I could access and the softer setting. My only quibble is the length of the power cable and the steadiness of the base. I can imagine a child or pet dog could knock the light over….none of them here so not really a problem. I would like to see all the Trond LED’s in a white finish but the product is very good.

Solid light. Just wish the flexible tube was a tad longer, but pleased with it.
Excellent light that was recommended by my optometrist to let me keep on reading newspapers despite developing cataracts. It has also made it possible to defer eye surgery for some years yet. It features sturdy engineering with a light adaptable for close office work or just reading in bed. Very good value for money.

Easy assembly, and controls responsive. I prefer white light for reading, and the lamp gives excellent illumination. My only gripe is that at the two highest intensities, it flickers, but since I never use these, that is academic.
I like that the lamp has different brightness settings depending on your requirements, which may vary depending on what you need the lamp for.
Nothing to dislike. Use for reading and craft work. Assembly Takes about five minutes.
You can change the level of brightness and the light temperature from a blue light to warm yellow.
The touch control works well. You can change the head into many different positions.
Great for reading or lighting a corner of a room.
If they did it in a chrome or stainless steel, I would buy another.

What I was not impressed with was the delivery man. I was at work and he obviously had dropped the package over my five foot fence. Fortunately it was beautifully packaged and not affected but to drop a lamp six feet is asking for trouble.

Outside of the suppliers area but the power brick died after 14 months so delighted to be advised it comes with a 18 month warranty. Super fast replacement of the power brick/plug and great Comms. Really (really), impressed.
Don’t pay “serious” money. This is perfect and great value. Assembled in no time. Bought for my wife who was sceptical to say the least and she’s now converted Does everything you need it to.
We had a problem with this lamp at the very beginning (I think it was faulty), but customer Trond service was grate! They did everything possible to deliver us a good one. Especially I want to say a big “Thank you” to Bruce – Trond Customer Care. He replayed immediately and I had a full support from him.

An excellent product, easy to assemble and use. I previously used an uplighter but my eyes are not as good as they once were and the Trond LED puts the light where I need it to read easily and without straining my eyes. Excellent value for money…I love using it.

I was so pleased with the quality of this lamp that I bought another one a few weeks later. The lamp is easy to move around and position, and there are several levels of brightness. Well worth the money.
After about 15 months, one of the lamps started to flicker. I contacted eTROND-UK, and they suggested testing the lamp using the other power cable to check if the adapter was the culprit. It wasn’t. They immediately dispatched a brand-new lamp under their 18-month guarantee.

Controls are light-touch and intuitive, and well-placed on the pillar at armchair height. No remote control, not needed really. Good choice of brightness and colour. Light head is easy to place where you want it. Light output is perfect for reading and close work – just the right area of illumination. Altogether a top-class light at a fraction of the price of more ‘serious’ lights. In fact I bought another one straight away !
Really like this lamp for use with cross stitch and knitting. It’s unobtrusive and very easy to use. Turns on/off with the slightest touch and doesn’t radiate heat as my previous lamp. Probably would have preferred it if it gave out slightly stronger light – the eyes aren’t what they used to be!!!! Hence only awarded 4 stars. Only time will tell how robust it is!!
I wanted a well-made, unobtrusive, focused bright light so that I could actually read the smaller font used in so many books. This lamp delivers exactly that. Indeed, I think I shall buy another one for the next room.
I am very pleased with my lamp. It was very easy to put together. The controls are great. It is so easy to get the light set for whatever I am doing I. e. knitting, crocheting, reading, or watching t.v.

Great all round controllability, just what I require in a reading lamp but subtle when required as background lighting.
It is fine as a back up light. A little lightweight and easy to knock over. The focus of the light is not brilliant for close work.
My main problem is the design and position of the flex. It could be lower and less obvious and a lot longer.
Overall it’s OK but probably would buy another design for a better light on my sewing/reading.

You can alter the light output from very bright to a more subdued tone. This avoids reflection of the light from shiny paper.

This lamp was easy to assemble and I like the fact that it can be different heights by adding and removing sections of the base. It is easy to operate with a choice of brightness and lighting tones. The swan neck can be moved to the exact position required. I am delighted with this lamp, it may cost a bit more but you get what you pay for. I would recommenced this item.
Really useful – Walk into a dark room and the always ON blue LED light shows the location of the ‘touch switch’ for switching on lamp.
The dim function is easy to operate.

Very useful light for embroidery. The different colour temperatures are useful for seeing different thread colours and types. Easy to angle the head to the work and doesn’t seem to cast a sharp shadow. Very pleased with it.
Apart from the wobbles when at its full height, it does exact as described, varying brightness and great for reading or craft work.

It’s a nice function to have multiple light temperatures which means that it could be used for multiple purposes.

The lamp arrived in good time, was very well packed, very easy to assemble with good instructions in English describing how to alter the light from dim to bright etc. I am using it as a table lamp. There is a warning that the lamp is unsuitable as a general room lamp as the beam is directed on the area you are working on. Suits me very well.

I decided to purchase this lamp mainly from the good reviews about it. I do a lot of sewing and cross stitch and using black or any other dark colour at night is impossible. This lamp overcomes that problem, I wouldn’t be without it.

After having used this lamp for quite a few months now I am looking for a new bedside light and would love one of these but it would need a smaller base to fit the table and would not need anywhere near the height that the floor lamp needs. Please, please would you look into this requested.
Not quite as bright for daylight reading as expected. Easy to assemble and good quality.
I bought this lamp for my mum as she is losing her sight. She likes to do puzzles and crosswords and struggles to see unless in bright day light so has resorted to using a very strong magnifying glass. She loves this lamp as the light is so bright she no longer needs the magnifying glass, which is a brilliant outcome for her.
The lamp was put up in seconds and with the additional rods and adjustable neck is it really easy to get to the right height and position. Highly recommended.
A small problem was rapidly solved, excellent service. The lamp is perfect for close up work and the 5 light settings

The lamp received was extremely well packed and easy to assemble. However, I would have preferred that lthcable ran up the inside of the pole rather than mounted on the surface where it is easily caught with a hand, pulling the lamp over. The strength the light could also benefit from being a bit stronger.
I have tried lots of lambs for cross-stitching and all have failed miserably. Until no. I was a tad sceptical about it but I am so pleased I bought this light. The extending poles are a brilliant idea as it allows you to control the height needed for your needs and it took minutes to put together too!
So for me, this is totally the right light for cross stitching and I cannot recomend this enough for any crafts hobbies.

I like the design and adaptability of the lamp. I have been struggling to read with ordinary lights and find this lamp very helpful without being distracting to other family members. I even did some sewing of black material which would have been impossible in the evening with ordinary light.
The Trond Light was certainly bright and has better light intensity controls, plus because the base is a different low profile shape the light can be located alongside her seat, where as the previous light had to shine over her shoulder leading to light shadow. The Trond light is easy to assemble with a thin heavy base onto which three 30cm pole sections are screwed with the light controls and flexible gooseeck is screwed onto the pole sections. All of the of the poles and the gooseneck are made of good grade aluminium nicely machined. My only moan would be that we were given two 15cm poles in place of one of the 30cm as this would have given the user greater height flexibility when setting up the light next to a sofa or arm chair, the light controls are to high with the three poles and a bit to low using only two poles. It is something that would have made a good overall purchase into an excellent purchase.
Power is supplied by a by good length of cable with a a barrel jack plugged into the rear of the control unit. The controls are easy to figure out, taking my grandchildren a matter of seconds, but their grandma a lightly bit longer.
So if you are looking for a good work light/reading light then the Trond Light is well worth consideration.
I spent Some time looking for a floor lamp on other sites as well as Amazon. I decided to purchase this lamp after much searching. Very happy with purchase as this lamp gives you varying levels of brightness. Excellent quality, thinking about purchasing one for my girlfriend. One more thing that’s really cool is the fact that you can adjust the height by adding/removing sections.

Excellent, close-in, bright or dimmed lighting, for reading. Not so great for covering a wider area. Best used as side or rear lighting illumination – for reading in a chair or working at a table. Variable setting are a nice touch (tone and intensity).

What a great light. Bought for my wife’s sewing and overlocking (whatever that is) and she’s over the moon. I bought this because of the engineering cleverness, and she’s really liking the flexibility to change brightness and colour, and direction of the light. All in all a great product.

assembly was a doddle. you can shoteb the lamp to have a small light if you want as well.
only downer is that cable runs up on outside of tubes with velcro cable ties if you move light a few times cables can be seen and you have to straighten it again….. but i would buy it again best portable light for the money

This is a superb light. I’m a pianist and needed a light for when playing piano. The general feel of this light is of a high standard. The option of fewer poles is a brilliant idea (I didn’t need all of them), and the ease with which one can have different types of light shining is amazing. Excellent communication from sellers. So pleased!
The touch-operated control gives versatile settings for tone and brightness. The lamp head is on a flexible arm and the light source is directional, which makes it very useful as a reading/hobby light. The base, though small in footprint, is surprisingly heavy, thus making the lamp stable. Installation (essentially pushing together the upright posts and securing the mains cable) could not be simpler.
