I purchased the white one a few years ago and it is still a sturdy and beautiful coat rack. I needed another one and did not hesitate to get this one. I recommend this product.
Absolutely superb coat stand. I’ve bought it for use with my hot tub to hang towels/robes etc. It’s a quality item to match my quality hot tub. I love the way the ‘hooks’ fold in when not in use which makes it look neat and tidy. Well worth the money, easy to assemble, sturdy, well balanced, quite heavy with a super smooth look and feel to it. I would highly recommend this product based on my purchase alone . Just love it and I imagine I will get many compliments on it as I’m renowned for buying high class quality goods. This fits the bill perfectly for me.

This coat stand looks good, it is stylish and well made. I purchased the wooden one with the white base. It is capable of accommodating a good amount of jackets with the base providing good stability. Although I have only been using it for a week I’m very pleased with it so far.
This coat rack won’t tip over! I have a therapy office and didn’t want the rack to fall over on anyone in the waiting room so I was specifically shopping for something that would not tip over. It’s very sleek and modern however fits with my lake life decor.

Wanted the Umbra coat hanger for a long time, but never had the proper space until now. I like the design, the simplicity, the quality and the sturdiness.

This is a great rack & is perfect for what I needed it for. I do not have a closet near the entrance way of my home so coats, purses & backpacks ended up on the table or the backs of the dining room chairs. This was super easy to assemble. No tools required. I do think the product is quite pricey for what it is but the quality seems to be there. I do recommend!

We were going for a spa vibe in our bathroom and were looking for a bamboo towel rack that didn’t involve us having to drill into tile. I would give this 5 stars if it wasn’t so expensive, but it is a beautiful and sturdy product. It’s actually what we were looking for, just wish we didn’t have to pay this much.
Ein hochwertiges, hier mit Holz sehr natrlich aussehendes Produkt, das durch die “herausflippenden” Haken begeistert. Neun von diesen gerade gehaltenen, recht breiten (2,5 cm) Haken knnen durch leichten Druck hinein- und herausgedrckt werden, je nach Bedarf. Bei meinem Garderobenstnder waren alle Teile hervorragend verpackt, unbeschdigt und ohne Fehler. Man schraubt drei Mal – und fertig. Zu beachten ist die groe runde Bodenplatte, deren Durchmesser ca. 42 cm ist. Das bietet hohe Stabilitt, braucht aber auch Platz. Meinerseits eine absolute Kaufempfehlung.

Bei der Bestellung handelt es sich um eine reduzierte Sendung (gebraucht wie neu), welche sehr gut verpackt (Originalkarton in ausgepolstertem Karton) sehr schnell geliefert wurde. Der Stnder ist aus Massivholz und in weier Lackfarbe gestrichen. Bisher habe ich keinen Fehler entdeckt und bereue den Kauf nicht. 5 Sterne, weil hier wirklich gebraucht wie neu” Programm ist. LOVE this!! For those worried about assembly… that’s just plain silly. If you can screw in a lightbulb you can certainly “assemble” this. It went together in a snap. I love how sturdy it is… It holds a coat on each hook and has never felt “unsturdy” or ready to tip over. I’ve had and used many other “clothes trees” over the years and this one doesn’t even compare. LOVE IT!!!

Sturdy and well built. The walnut finish is good, would have preferred a more consistent finish though, because the pattern / design of the 3 parts when put together didn’t match. It would have been nice to have it appear as if it was one continuous block of wood. Other than that, very happy with the purchase.
Amazing stand, easy to assemble and very sturdy.Used straight away. Can hold a lot of coats. Beautiful colour. Only thing that may be confusing is the way the pegs come out, not easily understood, u push the peg from the bottom and it comes out from the top. Would recommend all day long. Could not have been easier to assemble, took all of 5 minutes, half of which was to open the package. I got the natural/white one and it looks like a clean scandinavian designed product.
We needed a sturdy coat Rack that complimented our restaurant space and these worked perfectly. They are functional and they blend in with the dcor perfectly, in fact, I think we will use them when we have events on the deck at the house during summer months…just plain great!.
Easy assembly. Three wooden segments line up nicely when screwed together. The dark woodgrain on each segment does not match if you look really closely, but not important because the pole is covered by various coats and jackets.
Sits nicely in the corner behind the front door, and holds several winter parkas and hats. No longer miss having a closet right at the front door.
I moved into a small condo, and while I have a coat closet, it’s sort of awkwardly located, and really used mostly for storage. Also, I tend to be a bit messy, and if I can’t hang up my coat the second I walk in the door, it’s going to wind up draped over a chair or something.
I assembled this lovely piece in about, oh, three minutes. I’ve got two winter coats, scarves and a couple of purses hanging on it, and trust me, it’s not falling over. This thing is STURDY. And, it looks really nice.
I balked a bit at the price, but now that I have it, it’s worth every penny.

Previously purchased two different coat racks from local brick and mortar stores, and both failed over the first two years for similar low manufacturing quality reasons. This coat rack, both materials and assembly mechanics wise, seems to a well made and a great deal for its price point. It has adequate weight and a large base which should prevent it from easily falling over, and the metal flapper hangers should last much longer than screw-in low quality wood alternatives. I would have normally preferred the darker stain alternatives but this white version at $50 less made it an even more palatable purchase.

This is a very well made coat rack: it’s heavy, sturdy, and has nine hooks to hold all my stuff. Assembly is a breeze and no tools are needed to attach and twist each section into the next. While it is very stable when put together, disassembly is also easy, just unscrew each section.
I like the that the hooks fold into the pole, giving the coat rack a slim profile when it in use. I am very happy with my purchase.

Es raro encontrar que un perchero de pie como ste que ademas de cumplir bien su funcion (ropa cuelga facil y no se cae, numero suficiente de ganchos, estabilidad indepedientemente del peso) es esteticamente agradable aun sin ropa colgada. En general Umbra tiene diseos singulares y de buena calidad en sus acabados. Un acierto.
Just purchased this item off Amazon, it’s the second one we have had and it does exactly what we need. I searched for a coat stand that was sturdy and flexible and this product meets those requirements.

This is a nice coat rack. Given the price, I expected a little higher quality. But it is decent and visitors have been pleased with the addition. I like the flexibility of the flappers and its solidity and stability. It was very easy to assemble.

This coat stand is really sturdy & is proving really useful for hanging luxury cotton towelling robes on (it ‘lives’ in my Bedroom its ‘branches’ are pretty sturdy as well) It’s also good for putting clothes hangers (with clothing on – jeans, tops etc), it saves you rummaging through your wardrobe (if – like mine it’s in a separate room), when you’re getting ready to go out (you can hang them up ready the night before). Well worth the money it’s a 2 person job to assemble but it’s worth the effort.
The sturdiest coat rack I’ve ever owned. Well made and super-easy to assemble; just 4 pieces that hand-screw into each other. But why don’t they make it in Natural with Silver so that it matches all the other Umbra hooks that we have in the house?? That’s the only reason it dropped a star.
It was wrapped nicely to protect the components. You simply twist the first piece into the base and then twist in the next two pieces and voila you have your coat / towel rack (I appreciated that no tools were required for assembly)
While the pieces don’t match absolutely identically (ie. you can’t match up the wood grain lines between the three sections), this is hardly noticeable unless you’re closely examining it. It’s a quality coat rack, attractive and functions well, so I’m really happy with this purchase.
Given the colour choices, I’m guessing you could find one to match almost any dcor. The black walnut fits very well with a modern or contemporary dcor. Pictures to follow. I hope my review and pictures are helpful to others.

Bought this for a corner of the bedroom for dressing gowns in our very modern house – it is perfect for this job – neat, compact, modern, minimalist and adaptable. We just want two dressing-gowns on it, nothing else, and the spare hooks fold flat to the pole to keep it neat.

I think this is really about a 4.5 but I get compliments from most people that see it and everyone seems facinated by the retractable hooks. The base is nice and heavy but is a tad wide and so was a little difficult to fit into the location I put it. It is definitely nicer than many cheaper options but then it is more expensive.

The perfect solution to our overwhelming number of jackets, hoodies and coats! We live in an older townhouse with only one small closet on the first floor. This rack holds all our every day (ish) coats and my purse with ease. It is very sturdy and doesn’t lean if coats are only hung on one side. This was a huge relief, as that was my initial hesitance in ordering it. If we ever move somewhere with more closet space, I will reuse this for towels or scarves elsewhere. Until then, I can quit crabbing at my boyfriend for having coats and hoodies everywhere. I am happy, he is even happier.
I’ve ordered a good number of Umbra products over the years and have had very little cause for complaint with any of their home items.
This coat rack is no exception. It replaced for me another Umbra coat rack, which was similar in design and equally functional but a fraction of the price for anyone on a budget Umbra Flip Wall-Mounted Hook System with 5 Hooks, Natural .
This particular coat rack, which is currently priced at 124.78 is as much a statement piece as it is utilitarian. It will compliment perfectly any modernly furnished home with its light colouring and tactile design.

Although I had ordered the White/Natural version, they delivered the (more expensive) white version. Not sure what accounts for the price difference, aesthetically, looking at the pictures I think I prefer the cheaper one. That aside, this is a stable coat/stand A heavy base means it simply isn’t going to topple over (which always felt a risk on the cheaper, wobbly stand it is replacing. The bits that you hang your coat on push up into the stem if you want them to sit plush when not in use – but in practice you’re going to leave them down. Mine’s being used in my small business office. We have white walls and a modern look so it fits in well. The only other thing of note is that it isn’t as tall as my old one. I’m an average height bloke and the very top of it is probably about eye level. It’s not a cheap option by any stretch, but for daily use you probably do want something solid and without wobble, and this does that well. Do look at the pictures though so you understand that the white/natural version is very different from the white version.

The round base is about 16″ in diameter which means the coat rack is very stable. The stand itself is also very sturdy, stable and strong at 3″ in diameter and the top and hanging flaps are made from cast metal with a soft, matte finish to them. The flaps are 6″ long, operate on a pivot, and only stick out 3″ beyond the stand itself. They are very strong and hold a lot of weight as well as many items. There are 9 flaps in all, set in 3 groups of 3.
The coat rack is a piece of cake to put together. It has minimal instructions – just a picture – but that’s really all you need, if that. Once erected, it looks very classy indeed, with very clean lines and an excellent quality finish.

This natural-wood coat rack was my choice. It was purchased sight unseen, but I thought the natural wood of the rack would be a decent approximation of my maple floors.
The rack arrived in a single, rather small box, with three elements of the pole and the base nicely packed.
Assembly was simple and took two minutes; it was clearly designed for easy assembly.
Quality was good, with only two minor issues (e.g., one of the pole elements had a slightly different diameter than the other two, and another one had a slight blemish).
The style is great. The wood is a slightly darker than my natural-maple floor, but the match is acceptable.
The slightly-padded base provides nice balance and floor protection, and the diameter of the pole is fairly substantial (3 inches), but the dimensions are nicely proportioned.
