Bought this a year ago and it has worked well but have found I am buying refills often.
A problem that I have not seen highlighted anywhere is that a very hard crust/sediment builds up in the base of the tank reducing its volume causing the need to empty the tank more often. Over the year that I’ve been using it the volume has been reduced by a third so shortly will have to purchase another unit.

I always buys these, they are fantastic for soaking up moisture, it’s amazing how much moisture are in rooms. Great value, I would rather used these instead of electric dehumidifie

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI have the older bulkier version of this, I need a new one so thought I would try this, it is neat, sturdy, compact and works well.
It collected water after the first night. Haven’t had to empty it yet so don’t know how easy that will be

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersIt’s ok, but the base needs to be a little wider. Mine is in my van and, when I’m travelling, it needs to be propped between some solid stuff so it doesn’t fall down. First time it did that, all the liquid went over everywhere and it was difficult (and quite unpleasant) trying to clear up the sticky mess. Other than that, it does keep the vehicle clear of dampness.

Ok so before it arrived my morning shower would cause lots of fogging and condensation in the bathroom, even though the window is wide open. I have an extractor fan but the segment that leads outside is cemented over.

So I needed a helping hand extracting the moisture from the air. I’ve tried USB driven dehumidifiers but that was a complete waste of money. I read reviews and decide to take the plunge.

Setting the thing up could be easier (if you read the instructions!) which I didn’t instead I took the thing apart!! When I did get it back together I noticed the button that says open !! Doh!! Slot in the disc and put it in place.

Now like others I thought I had a faulty disc as I’d put it in the bathroom and overnight it seemed about 1/2 the disc had fallen off and there was little or no water but as time went on the collapsing of the disc stopped and the collection of water has begun. I can only presume that there was more moisture in the air than I realised.

This morning I must have been more awake to notice that this little device is magical. My showers are always at the same temp not hot not cold but warm. Normally bathroom mirror steams up and remains so for 30 mins after, todayi dried off got pressed came back to a clear bathroom mirror. The window wasn’t open as much as it usually is yet the mirror was clear and if your wondering I live alone!

Can’t recommend this highly enough, so much so I’m.thinking of replacing my electric ones with these!!

Golden Review Award: 17 From Our UsersThese salt dehumidifiers are great. I bought one to put in the corner of my bedroom in my flat as I have one little damp problem there. I didn’t think it would make much difference but thought it was worth a go. It has made a huge difference, even to the condensation quantities on the window. It’s by no means fixed the problem but its definitely made a big difference! I replaced the salt block twice over this last winter.
It did such a good job that I bought a second one to put in my caddy to take the edge off the dampness in there. It’s made a huge difference and it hasn’t smelt damp in there since.

They’re super easy to put together. The salt block just slots into place and you clip it closed. It has a little clip that you unhook to make an opening to pour out the water when it has collected in the bottom.
Super easy to use. And great to have something working away and not using electricity even when I’m away on holiday.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersJust unboxed one of three I’ve ordered due to the price drop so my review is based on first impressions NOT use.

Firstly, it’s huge and bigger than expected. Approximately a foot high once assembled.

I agree it is quite flimsy plastic and would imagine someone with problems using hands or fingers may struggle to align then attach the three sections then use the side flaps to secure.

I’ve vaguely seen these in Tescos but the price put me off and mistakingly thinking they needed electricity and had been using a range of disposable cheap ones for months.

So up this popped on Monday in my suggestions so decided to order then thought what the heck now have another and one more on the way.

All in all it fits together well and looks like a fancy electric fan.

I’ve given it four due to being slightly flimsy which others may not mind but when draining comes may change their minds!

This is THE ONLY product that seems to be working so far in the bad mould issue we have in our bedroom! We’ve tried electric dehumidifiers, mini dehumidifiers, keeping windows open.. and yet this is the only thing that has stopped condensation forming and stopped mould developing! Would 10000000% recommend to anyone having the same issues we have!
