A lovely light weight hose that is easy to handle as the hose appears to be short, however when the water is turned on the length increases dramatically. On finishing and turning off the water the hose self emptys, making it easy to wrap around the storage handle provided. The accessories provided were very good too with a various
Settings spray head and brass tap fittings and all at an amazing price.
    Would purchase again.

I’m not sure if this is due to my water pressure or what, but when I start watering my flowers at the back of the garden the hose just shrinks again defeating the object of the hose. It is lightweight but only really useful for close by plants. The spraying head is ok but I do prefer the triggered ones. The brass fittings seem very robust and seem like they will last a while although I’m not sure how long the hose would last for as it seems quite thin.
Overall based on my experience it’s not something I’d recommend if you think your water pressure is a little low.

The only thing I have as a downside to this item is that the connections don’t seem to be multifunctional for example I am unable to attach an extended watering arm. The reason I need this is I’m disabled and cannot bend down so much. I choose to water my roses from the base. This keeps the leaves better for flower arranging. I have looked for attachments/joiners but can’t find any as yet. The company doesn’t seem to do them. However the spray gun is brilliant it would be wonderful if there was an extension that could be bought. That said I would highly recommend this product. I would be very grateful if anyone out there knows what or how to resolve this problem. Thank you.

This garden hose stretches out to a longer length when filled with water, its lightweight & space saving. It is very easy to move around your garden to water the flower beds as it is not made of solid pipe like regular hose pipes. It is soft but expanding fabric that is strong & doesnt kink when u bend it around corners. It has strong brass fittings that fit tightly onto your garden tap. The brass fittings are much stronger than plastic or rubber fittings which arent so good quality. It has a sprayer that attaches onto the hose so u can use it with 10 different spray options. The sprayer is easy to turn to one of the 10 settings that can shower, soak or fine spray your lawn, plants or flowers. The hose fits into a bag together with the sprayer and the wall holder to hang your hose on when u store it.

I really like this hosepipe because it is stretchy. But despite the stretchiness it is also durable. It does not feel as though it will spring apart whilst in use. However at full stretch it can feel a little difficult to hold onto so if you do not think you are particularly strong this may not be the hosepipe for you especially if you have a large garden. Having said that the pipe is very long so it’s suitable for most residential Gardens. It comes with attachments that means it can be fitted to most taps. It curls up into a small pile when not in use so is not intrusive. It has many spray settings from powerful Jet to drizzle. I love this hose pipe and I think you will too.

Good product & value for money. Need to maximise water flow to extend hose to advertised length and no further – if in doubt it might pay you to purchase a longer hose.

This hose really does everything you’d want it to. It’s expandable, which means it’s great for saving space when not in use, but also allows high water pressure! The elastic nature of the hose means that it’s constantly putting a pressure on the water within it to try and force it out, meaning that it increases the pressure of your water!

The material is brilliant and in the month that I’ve used it, it hasn’t torn, kinked, or been damaged in any way. The connectors on both sides are made from durable metals and are tightly attached to the tubing to prevent any damage or leaks from occuring. The spray gun is a pretty standard spray gun with 10 different spray patterns that you can cycle between, so it’s a good tool to use with the hose.

Overall, I have nothing bad to say about this hose. It’s well priced and is well made, would recommend.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersAs a keen gardener i like a good hose. It’s very difficult to find a good one that’s long enough and that doesn’t tangle.

This one is superb. As you turn the water on the hose expands and stretches by itself! You turn off and it shrinks back down again. This means no vast long hose pipes to tangle and drag about. This is lightweight even when at full capacity with water.

The nozzle itself is pretty good and you have a cut off valve meaning you can change the nozzle without going back to the tap to turn off before you change the nozzle.

They have literally thought of everything. My old hose is now rolled up and in the garage.

At 25 for this hose it’s great value. I’d be really pleased to buy this.

One further bonus is unlike the old spring style extending hoses this on doesn’t put any pressure on the joint as you aren’t pulling on it to stretch it.

    Genius. I love it!

I was worried because this hosepipe was very reasonably priced but my concerns were groundless. It seems sturdy and easy to use. It is light weight and flexible, easy to coil up and store. Not sure what the hook can be used for as it won’t fit over the outside tap.

  49. NilaGorecki says:

The hose pipe is a concertina expanding type that is very well made with really nice brass fittings each end. One has a quick 90 tap fitting to enable the hose pipe to remain at pressure and the attachments removed without turning the main tap off. This is easy to clean and keep clean. The nylon outer affords a lot of protection to the silicone core and aids the drainage and contraction once finished using the hose. I did find on rough ground this nylon was easy to snag and the hose pipe didnt puncture witg this abuse. The spray head is great ith 10 sprsy types from gentle spray to very penetrating jets. Easy to use and change water jet type even at pressure. Highly recommended, Andrew

I’ve been mightily impressed by this expanding hose so far. The hose is so much smaller when coiled than some when the pressure is released. It’s supplied with accessories including a wall attachment but it’s bright orange, so for now I’m using an old black one from an old hose. The orange hook is much better construction and more robust than my old black one, but it would have needed me to drill a second hole. I’ll wait till I snap the black one off walking past with a wheelbarrow or something. It’s also quite luridly coloured so best somewhere out of the way.

Compared to some other hoses feels much better quality, thick but not too thick to be able to manoeuvre easily, even when under full pressure. The spray gun has the thumb control rather than the trigger action which I really like. There’s a shut off valve on the connector, which is very useful as an additional means of control and as it allows you to fully expand the hose under pressure without water being released, so easy to connect to other hoses or apparatus such as pressure washers. You don’t need then to be within a short distance from the tap, i.e. the unexpanded hose length. It has lots of choices of spray settings and the power selector is very easy to use with smooth transitions when opening and closing. The connector parts are all brass so it feels very durable and strong and connections seal well so no leaks.

    Excellent hose

Expanding hoses are a genuinely useful alternative to the traditional hose pipe, they take up a lot less space when not in use, but expand as soon as the water supply is turned on, when you have finished using them they ‘relax’ back to their small size, a very clever trick.

This comes in a 15m (50ft) length which will be sufficient for a small garden, or even a larger garden if the tap is halfway up the garden. It is a rather more attractive colour than some of the similar hoses out there and it also feels rather better made than some. I like the thumb lever flow rate control on the spray gun, which also has 10 different spray patterns, probably 7 more than most people will ever use, but they’re there anyway. There is also a handy bracket to hang the hose on when it isn’t in use.

As the inner hose is made of latex I would suggest that this hose should be completely drained of water and stored somewhere frost-free during the winter or the latex could suffer and go hard and hence lead to leaks. But treated carefully it should last a long time.

The normal price is 27.99 but at the time of writing it is selling for 22.09, there is a longer 100ft (30M) version which is normally 45.99 but is now 35.69. The price for both sizes is very competitive, especially when the quality is taken in to account.

This expanding hose idea is cool! When there’s no pressure, it’s half the size. Then you turn the tap on and it doubles in size! I’m not sure where the idea is from, but it’s a good one.

Once it’s pressurised, it becomes quite firm, and it more resembles a normal hose at this stage, but when I compare it with my standard hose, it’s more flexible and easier to manipulate.

The “gun” on the end also has a cool thumb trigger rather than a standard finger trigger, and its’ really handy for allowing you to control the flow of water. Once you push it into position, it holds that position so the water remains on at the desired flow rate. A twist of the head changes the output type, and it’s got basically every one of the options I’ve ever seen on any other hoses.

My original review had me talking about how the hose didn’t come with the usual quick release valve, however I’m updating it because it turns out that it was included and connected already, but it was so tight that when I pulled on it I figured it wasn’t a removable part. There’s a holder included which you can wall mount, and the hose can be wrapped around it and kept off the ground. Since it shrinks, it doesn’t take up much room at all.

It’s a good hose overall, and I really like the fact that once you’re done, it becomes like half the size and can be stored back inside the small bag it came in.

This is an excellent garden hose set, the orange/black colour is quite classy and comes with metal fittings (and plumbers tape) which makes a nice change. It is very small until you turn the water on and watch the magic happen and the impressive thumb operated sprayer can do it’s stuff. Shrinks up nicely to be hung on the hose hook provided and there is even a bag for winter storage. Great stuff.

  54. Anonymous says:

     United Kingdom

This hose set is comprehensive as it contains virtually everything you could need to make water tight fittings between the hose and gun as well as the tap. It has plumbers tape for the threads and numerous rubber washers that fit in the end connectors.
Once the gun has been installed into the hose the tap connects very easily to threaded outside tap fitting and hey presto your ready to switch on.
The pipe takes ages to fill as it expands quickly as water passes through it. Once it’s full the length of the hose increases dramatically to about 50 metres as seen in the photos. The water gun is excellent and has multiple modes to suit all watering requirements.
Once watering has been completed and the hose disconnected the pipe shrivelled back to a few metres which is brilliant for space saving.
There is also a handy pipe holder for storage when not in use.
The main problem with these in the past has always been the pipe within the fabric as it splits where its perishable over time. This however is concertina plastic with a woven fabric sheath with very good connectors to the metalwork.
    Excellent hose highly recommend.

  56. Jacob Silver says:

I have had expandable pipes before, but the ones I got were of cheaper quality and as a result, they lasted only one season, as the rubber inside the pipe kept splitting and we had to continuously repair it, this was tedious and time-consuming.

This one is much better quality, it should not split and hopefully will last for a few years, it is very simple to use, all the fittings are included as well as the nozzle, this is also well made and has different spray options.

When you connect this to the water it magically begins to expand, it expands from around 17ft to about 50ft very quickly, to disconnect and get rid of the water, you should always turn off the water and then open the nozzle to let all the water out, doing this will enable it to contract to its original size.

Fortunately, it also stops all the kinks and twists you have with a normal pipe, but do be aware, when you are finished with using this hose, make sure that it does not get caught on anything whilst it is contracting, as this can cause possible tearing of the internal rubber, it gets pulled very hard, this force, I think, has the potential over time to damage the hose, so beware.

This hose comes with a nice bag and a holder, I have put my holder over my outside tap and the hose goes around this, the hose is very light and should not cause any damage to the tap. So overall, does the cost make it worthwhile buying this hose? Well, if you look at the cost of buying a traditional quality 50ft hose, you will have to pay more, so it is definitely worth getting, as it will save you money in the long run, so I am happy to give this hose five stars.

Good quality extendable hose pipe with metal connectors, solid spray gun with 10 settings and hanger.
It is about 15 meters long, but that’s more than enough for my small garden. Easy to connect to the tap. Once fitted properly there is no leaks or slips from the tap. Lightweight and easy to use or fold comparing to classic rubber hose. Much better than my old expandable hose pipe.
Only thing I don’t like about is a valve type switch on the spray gun instead of trigger. 2 year guarantee as well.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersLove this light weight hosepipe but light weight doesn’t mean poor its the opposite love how it expands to 50 feet as it comes alive with the flow of water and then shrinks back when the water is cut off. The fittings look bras but they aren’t there a light weight aloy but you get a solid connection from them all no leaks what so ever. It comes with a nice bright holder that hangs over your outside tap, 2 rubber o- rings and a role of ptfe tape. The gun is quite small but solid it doesn’t have a trigger like most but a thumb switch you move back and forth with your thumb. It as 10 spray patterns to suit all purposes as you can see in my video. The hose it self feels quite thick as it is triple layed but very flexible so should be ok to be left out side but I wouldn’t advise leaving it out in winter or really cold days as this would lead to the rubber solidifying and cracking. Over all I like this hose only reason I dropped it a star is that I would like to have seen brass fittings as there a more solid choice I think as been a garden item the connections could get damaged.A nice little addition to take to my caravan. It also comes with a water proof carry bag if you need to transport it. Thumbs up from me.

    Very good

This is a hose which starts off as pretty short and compact – but once water pressure is added will expand in a really impressive way. I think my wife would struggle as it looks amazingly snake like for a few seconds when water is first turned on as it writhes and uncoils. I hope I’m not putting any Ophidiophobists (if that’s the right word!?) off. It’s actually brilliant.

I was not initially impressed with the supplied attachment – I could not get the water pressure that I could with our older hose/attachment. That is until my daughter showed me how (the screw on attachment has various settings – spray, jet, etc. – and the pressure can be controlled with a simple thumb lever I somehow over looked.

You do need to empty the hose (pretty much) once finished (turn tap off – leave hose open). It retracts to pretty much it’s original short size for storage.

If you need a hose that is compact to store – this is quite possibly for you. It comes with various fittings and attachments for most garden taps – as well as tape to ensure a water tight fit. The supplied nozzle provides a good range of different settings – washing the car, watering the garden and so on. Very good!

This expanding gardening hose takes up less room than my old plastic one. The bracket sits on the tap and the hose wraps around it. The water pressure is good and I like the flip on and off at the top of the hose spray, which makes it easy to turn on and off and doesn’t stick like my old one had a tendency to do.

Once you’ve finished using the hose you need to keep the nozzle open to let out the remain water, the pipe then retracts.

The hose is super light and flexible, great for watering the garden and cleaning the car.

I like this expanding hose and the multiple stray options, it’s a winner for me.

This arrived very compactly packaged and consists of a flexible hose, adaptors at each end, a spray handle, a wall bracket, spare washers and some pt tape for installation. The hose looks of a reasonable quality and the fittings at both ends are very shiny metal ones. They look like brass, but I’m not sure that they are as they are very light.

The hose does extend and returns to it’s original compact shape fairly quickly. Installation was a bit of a faff though. This is fine if you want to connect it directly to a tap with a screw end on. If however you want to attach it to an existing hose system, you need to find some adaptors and cobble a makeshift connection. The issue is that the supplied brass fittings are secured onto the hose end and are not easy to split, so you end up having to use the supplied fittings and adapt to them, rather than swap them over. I had a hozelock splitter that I wanted to connect this to so had to use a male to male adaptor with an additional screw in size changer.

In use this works really well and the spray gun has some useful spray patterns, albeit the gun itself is quite light and plasticky.

This is a decent extendable hose and works well, a bit more flexibility in the connections and adaptors would have been helpful.

    Good hose, fiddly connectio

This expandable Polyester garden hose by WEUE is tough yet lightweight and it is quite compact when coiled, expanding to a fairly useful fifteen metres (50 feet) in use. This hose could be handy for watering a small patio or terraced area, or for car washing and even when camping or caravanning where portability is important. This is quite a sturdy hose that is better quality than some of the cheaper expanding hoses I have used in the past, but it is quite limited by it’s fifteen metre length so will only suit certain applications. Reasonably priced at around thirty pounds currently from Amazon for this fifteen metre length (thirty metres also available), this a decent quality expandable hose that doesn’t kink in use and should give good service if looked after and stored properly. The ten function spray head works well as do the connectors and seals – four stars for design, value and build-quality, but make sure the length is adequate for your needs before purchase and also consider the longer one as it offers slightly better value.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersLike most of this style of hose, it comes in a little carry bag. Included are a storage hook, a reel of plumbers tape, a bag of replacement washers, a tap adaptor and a multi-option spray gun. The fittings are all brass, albeit a very yellow brass (I’m never sure if that’s a good sign or a bad one). It attached very easily and there wasn’t a single leak.

The hose itself seems to expand with the water pressure better than ones I have previously used and didn’t shrink while using the spray gun. The gun comes with a multitude of spray options, although there is no “jet” option and the “soak” setting is more of a dribble. All the other options worked really well. I also liked the fact the spray gun doesn’t have the usual trigger. Instead it has a sliding control on the back of the gun which can be worked with the thumb and doesn’t have to be constantly held. It actually gave a lot more control for having just the right amount of spray and then being able to leave it there, whilst triggers can usually only be locked at full spray.

The hose is covered in a woven fibre, giving it a rope look, which is much sturdier than the nylon fabric type that I’ve tried before.

    So far I’d recommend it.

This is a very lightweight hose that takes up a lot less space than a conventional one would. It’s also not prone to kinking or pinching.

The elasticated hose gets a lot longer when water pressure is applied, and even when removed there’s a few seconds of squirt from the hose, so be careful if you’re removing the spray gun in this situation!

The spray gun is a little different, in that you’ve a valve on the hose end and a thumb operated power slider. It’s easy to use, just maybe not as easy to stop by dropping it.

Good metal connectors to go on usual Hoselock push fittings. Only thing missing is a hook or means to hang the hose when not in use. It coils up easily and doesn’t need a spool.

Good value and works really well, taking up little space.
