Vacmaster Multi 20 PTO Wet & Dry Vacuum Cleaner – Lightweight Bagged & Bagless Home & Garage Vacuum – Multifunctional Dust Extractor with Blower Function & Multiple Filters, 20 Litre, 1250W, Power Take Off
Got this from Amazon warehouse for a steel as it was meant to have damage on the top of the unit, thought well as long as it works it’s going in a shed anyway. It turned up and not a mark on it, very happy with it. I will say ear protection is recommended.
Generally a good and powerful machine. The tool take-off socket is useful as is the blow function. The way that the hose connects to the main unit could be better though, hence a lost star.
For half the price of a “Henry” Hoover this wet and dry vacuum cleaner is absolutely brilliant. I purchased it to to clean the dust and debris from a home improvement job which involved dealing with an exceptional amount of plaster dust and small bits of rubble. From previous experience my Dyson was unable to deal with this type of cleaning and the motor burnt out. Not wanting this to happen again with my new upright I decided to purchase a cheaper “Henry” option. I was not disappointed – the Vacmaster Wet and Dry Vacuum Cleaner coped brilliantly and I have used it for several other messy jobs without any problem.
I needed something to collect up the dust while doing some laminate flooring. This worked well with cleaning while cutting the laminate. It’s light and easy to move around. It came packed full with attachments.

In a nutshell – buy it! This machine is lightweight, quiet to run and very powerful. I have inadvertently sucked up pencils, bolts and screws, but all are easy enough to retrieve! Very happy indeed, can highly recommend.
I am a decorator and have been looking for a new system to hook up my sander to. Gave it a good run the other day, sanding a complete room, perfect on/off, no over heating and along with my sander using correct pads, the job was finished completely dust free.
I used this product in my workshop to pick up chippings from my wood lathe. It works great. Even used the blower side and double power feature to control the lathe. I was so impressed I used it also to vacuum my car instead of the normal vacuum.
I purchased this for general use in the garage, also as a dust catcher while sanding down a decking. Found it to have a very good suction and did a good job to minimise dust to the point I was able to take my dust mask off for some parts of the job. Having the PTO on board is great
The dust bags cold be better if there was a open end to be able to empty it, and then change it when it had been used a couple of times less waste.
I’m a DIY wood worker and this is my new shop vac, it has great suction, attachments that can attach to my woodworking tools. I’m really pleased and would recommend. SEE VIDEO.
I have found the Vacmaster to be a very good quality tool, i can not find any fault with this vacuum cleaner for my part this was a very good purchase.
Bought this over a year ago to collect from my power tools, table saw, chop saw and sanders.
I have been using this without a bag as I did not want the running costs.
It needs to be emptied and the filter swept out after every heavy use, I use a soft dust pan brush, works well.
About to hook up to a cyclone system to avoid the clean out task so fingers crossed. Other reviews sound successful so should be OK.
Machine is excellent, the power tool socket is great, turns the vacuum on when you turn the power tool on and off 5 seconds after turning off the tool.
All accessories work well and are in one piece after a solid years amateur use.
I would definitely buy this again if it ever fails but no sign of that happening.
Really good strong suction. Love the feature that allows one to power an appliance directly from the vac with auto-switch on. Highly rated for workshop/garage use.
This has been really useful for both wet and dry,
After emptying the hot tub this got the last 2″ from the bottom. Also when the tub was full it suct some sand from the bottom. Another day it was used dry in the garden for leaves etc.
I had tried cheap Wet ‘n’ Dry vacuum cleaners before, but they were not much use for connecting to machines as extractors. This is a great machine. Fits directly onto my table saw and planer and now I can work virtually dust free. With the power take-off socket, I can connect my machine and it will start the extractor when I switch on the wodd working machine. I would definitely recommend this for DIY home workshop.
This vac is great as a D-I-Y’er dust collection tool. Attaches to all of my power tools via dust extraction port with the supplied adapter where necessary. Really good suction and collection, not 100% but then I’ve never sen one that is 100% effective. Remember to empty it and brush off the filter when you’re done and its just the job . Haven’t used the wet suction function yet but didn’t really need that aspect anyway.
Good pipe length , and power cable length. The usual tool heads supplied. Well worth the money so far in saved time clearing up
As my partner is a great believer in DIY around the house and in the garden, a good Dry and Wet Vacuum cleaner was no longer a luxury, and I started to check what was on offer on Amazon.
After reading the reviews of the numerous vacuum cleaners proposed, I decided for Vacmaster and we were not disappointed. The chosen Vacuum cleaner had to be easy to use and light weight for we are 80 and 81 years young and not always very savvy what technicalities are concerned, nor do we still possess the strength of our younger years. To cut a long story short, as soon as the VACMASTER was received, we tried it and it showed itself as fantastic as we could hope.
The suction is perfect for dry and wet, the blower sends the fallen leaves where they can be reaped, and the special plug gives this Vacuum cleaner a supplementary facility to adapt the mitral saw and get rid of the sawdust immediately.
All in all, this is MY perfect choice of a perfect little industrial Vacuum Cleaner. Warmly recommended.
I bought this product for domestic purpose use. It is the best hoover I have ever owned. I bought more big named vaccum cleaners and always get disappointed. Mastervac has saved my home. I give all round five star. Some people criticised it’s functioning on carpet, I would suggest to change its original floor head to a traditional floor/carpet head. Very light and effective. I recommend the mastervac. Don’t be carried away by big brands. The high price does not mean the most effective. Manufacturers please include stair brush. I strongly recommend for domestic cleaning.
Great value for money, the power take-off is really useful. Minor design fault, the, useful, long power cord doesn’t fit on the holder on the side of the vacuum. BUT every component wrapped in plastic packaging, WHY? Please Amazon put some pressure on your suppliers to reduce pointless packaging.
I bought this for my daughter who, with her husband, were renovating their new home. She said that it was priceless and couldn’t have managed all the dust and debris without it. She was more than pleased and it had very good suction power.
Have a festool couldn’t justify another one for my 2nd cross cut saw. Bought this as has power take off and I have to say its pretty much as good as my festool extractor. Wouldn’t hesitate to buy another one .
Husband got this for is garage and his wood work, but it is so much better than the VAX we have I use it in the house. The attachments for carpet cleaning are a little flimsy but the suction is amazing and i can vacuum in so much less time. Plus with the long by hose and strong suction you can get into all the tiny places/corner. Everything done in a few minutes.
Plus he has done some work in the house, placing the hose underneath the working point and connecting up to the drill mode really works and saves having to do any extra cleaning.
Couldn’t ask for more from a vacuum cleaner for DIY at home. Does the job great holds suction even after deeded plaster dust. The additional outlet is helpful too. Would recommend
I’m so pleased with this. I’m only using it as a dry vacuum cleaner for the garage and so far it’s exceeded my expectations, especially considering how reasonable the price is. It has all the attachments you will need and the suction power is excellent.
It doesn’t tidy itself up very well when you have finished with it like a traditional vacuum does, but I have got around that by finding it a place in the garage and hanging the power lead and the suction hose up on up on a hook in the wall.
We desperately needed a “dirty vacuum”. The very old dyson vac we’d been using for that purpose blew up.
Looked through lots of vacuums and reviews. I couldn’t believe the great reviews on this little beastie. It’s also a blower (not tried that yet, but will have a go at the dry leaves in the garden.) It can also suck up water (you do need to change the filter over when going from dry to wet!)
I’m so pleased with the suction and bits and pieces that come with this vac. It really is exactly what I was after AND MORE!
I have a Fien shop vac that was very expensive at the time I bought it. It’s excellent and still works but it’s so heavy. This vacuum is really light and I would say (unscientifically) that this is easily as powerful but weighs a lot less, it’s also smaller which is important if you are carrying it around a house or up stairs.
Excellent piece of kit, especially for the money – lets hope it lasts as long as the Fie
Just the job for the busy work-shop. Hose connector (to machine body) is a bit sloppy but for the money, this is a great product. And The Bride keeps wanting to “borrow” it.
We’ve been through about 5 hoovers in 4 years. We tried a chinese Shark clone that was meant to be brilliant, garbage. Bought a shark, decent, but blocked often (we used for our rabbits in their little shed too, the shark didnt like the Hay, blocked condtantly. Googled ‘good vaccuum for hay’, this popped up with good reviews, and i kid you not, despite being an absolute pain in the rectum to put together for the first time (i still dont know what the sponge insert is for), there is nothing this thing wont suck up. Buy one, itll change your life.
Bit heavy and bulky, but, its heavy duty so you’d expect it to be.
This became an essential piece of kit during my house renovation. So light to carry up and downstairs, versatile in its ability to suck up any debris. Really pleased with it.
Easy to use to suck up liquid . My girlfriends car was flooded after a drain got blocked. This little vac easily sucked up the water and probably got 95% which soon dried out . The only thing I would like is a small suction head for the pipe but that’s a minor complaint.
Very light, great suction power and powefull blower,a little noisy and lead a bit short but ok with a extension lead, the accessories hose etc are a bit flimsy so bought the henry pack which is metal and fits great, recommended for the price too….
My wife hates mess in the house, and so when it became apparent that the planned decorating was going to do just that, she freaked out…and so started the hunt for a vac to connect to a sander and to cut down on the dust.
Now I work as a maintenance engineer so I use vacs most days, and I have used some belters over the years – and some real dogs. I have to say that pound for pound, this is simply the best one I’ve used to date!
Light, agile, powerful and with just the right size for a DIY’er or small contractor, this is a great vac. The PTO function is just a godend, and resulted in practically NO dust in the room when sanding walls and floors. The bag is large too, so you’re not emptying it every 5 minutes!
Lastly, it maybe made in China but it has a full UK support in Vacmaster and spares and tools are readily available too on their website. If you’re looking for a wet vac priced between 45 and 200, I’d say you;d be hard to beat this at 70 – a time-saving bargain!
Order arrived quickly and once the handle and wheels were screwed on it was given a quick test. Suction is quite powerful but not up to clearing heavier particles like wet gravel over 10mm. The machine is very light but unlike the similarly priced Karcher model is less prone to toppling over as the suction hose connects on the side rather than the top. For dry use the machine has a cartridge filter attached and to reduce filter cleaning and contain waste a bag can be added as a prefilter. When used for liquids the bag and filter are removed and replaced with a filter sponge. Accessories are readily available from the manufacturer, Amazon and ebay. The Power Take Off Socket is what made me decide on this machine. Toggling the switch to the right with a power tool connected to the vacuum cleaner’s socket allows the Vacmaster to be activated when the power tool is switched on – great no mess! With the added bonus of a blower function for leaves/grass cuttings/ wood shavings etc. this machine is very versatile, From reading other reviews customer service is very good should you have a problem. I only gave for stars due only to the poor storage of tools and cable. The slots to store accessories around the motor housing are too shallow to hold them firmly while the cable storage is too small to accept all of the thick flex. There are no clips to store the hose. I am otherwise very happy with the machine and as a garage/workshop/garden vacuum consider it good value for money.
On first use it performs just as I’d hoped. The power take off socket is a real boon and works perfectly with my sander. As a workshop garage vac I can’t see any negatives..
I bought mine several years ago (possibly 8yrs) and it’s still going strong. I agree that it is lightly built and the hose and accessories aren’t the best but they have lasted very well. We’ve used ours a great deal – for building works and projects (several in every year!) and it’s still being used today as I speak – my husband is hoovering up plaster from chasing a wall. I would definitely recommend – we couldn’t be without it.
Bought this because we were embarking on a lot of decorating during lockdown. Started off connecting it to the power sanders, which really helped with keeping dust to a minimum (we were using the paper filter bags supplied by the seller separately). Its also absolutely fine for hoovering up hard floors. Everything is very plasticky, but seems robust enough for domestic DIY use. We had an odd burning smell coming from the vac after a few days heavy use (smelt of electrical burning) – and the seller replaced the motor unit very quickly and without fuss. I reckon the dust bag had leaked dust into the motor, and it was burning off inside it. Very happy with the item and the customer service of the seller. Recommended
Good: light with powerful suction. Built in tool socket an absolute game changer. I run my table saw through it. Excellent long thick power cable. Good shop vac. Nice attachment storage slots.
Bad: (small things) blow output always on so point away from dusty spots. VERY LOUD!
Update: after using this for the duration of a full renovation I have to say I’m super impressed. I’ve used it for cleaning up all sorts – plaster dust, sawdust, rubble and tile dust etc. I’ve also used it for sucking out all the water from a central heating system.
It can get a bit loud when the filter hasn’t been cleaned but that can be achieved with a hard bristle brush and a gentle tapping. If I could give 6 stars I would
I bought this to pair up with an Oipps 60l plastic keg and an ONCCI Professional Cyclone to form a dust collector for my new workshop. The VacMaster is extremely powerful. So powerful, in fact, that I’ve had to build a frame to stop the keg from collapsing under power of the VacMaster! I haven’t tried its ability to pick up liquids yet but the feature I really like is the socket on the front which you can plug your power tool into. The VacMaster will start as soon as you start your saw or planer or whatever and stops a few seconds after you stop the tool. Obviously the power required by the tool has to be limited but it does the job for me.
Used/using this attached to a Sander for doing a wood floor. Yes, you could need earplugs as it’s noisy, on the other hand, it does exactly what you want it to do. I’m in the middle of stripping the old varnish and sanding down the original “Parquet Wood Flooring” in the living room of a 1960’s house. With the sander plugged in to this, it starts with the sander and then has a short run-on after turning off the sander, which makes life much easier. It sucks the dust up so well no face mask required and I don’t need to move/cover things in the living room to protect them.
I just bought it and used only few times but so far I am very happy with it. It is light, has wheels and a handle on top, so easy to move anywhere. The suction is also very good I think – this is my first that type vacuum. The only thing is the hose attachments – a bit flimsy/wobbly but not a problem. Overall I’m very happy with the item.
So far it’s been great. We use it for DIY and connecting power tools. Only down thing was it didn’t come with enough screws to attach all wheels & handle. Other than that fab little buy
I recently had carpets removed, leaving small chunks of carpet and an inch of dust and debris in the rooms. My regular vacuum cleaner was clogging every few seconds. So I bought this little beauty. I had never used one before.
The suction is amazing. As long as the debris actually fits in the suction hose, it’ll suck it up.
My mate used it in my house and was so amazed he asked me to order him one to clean up the ashes and debris in his log burner. It arrived today.
I cannot recommend it more highly and the price is reasonable.
This is just what I needed for all the jobs around the house, it has a little nozzle adaptor that attached perfectly to the outlet on my orbital sander. With the option to blow air too this is really good for clearing garden areas and leaves. For the price I was very happy.
This vac is excellent value for money and perfect for home use/DIY enthusiast. I bought this as a shop vac in a woodworking garage and have found it to be a brilliant tool for picking up both sawdust and bulkier items including large wood chips, nails/screws, leaves etc. Highly recommend.
I bought this to use as a dust extractor for my power tools or in the workshop. It is lightweight, portable and the way the power tool turns it on and off is brilliant! it does exactly what i was hoping for and the price is very good too. I intend to buy more so i can station one by each of my stationary woodworking tools in my workshop.
I’ve been using this for a good few weeks now and I’m so far very pleased.
Bought mainly to hook up to a cyclone dust extraction system, it has proved to be very effective in conjunction with a Sealey VacHose5m, a Dust Commander DLX ESD and an Oipps 30L Plastic Blue Barrel.
The accessories that come with it and the above hose and cyclone have easily connected to an Evolution Rage mitre saw, a Bosch Professional circular saw, a Ryobi plane and a Ryobi 18v sander. The difference in the amount of dust that gets into the room is huge.
There are some other useful accessories for vacuuming up the small amount of dust that escapes and general cleaning, which store on the Vacmaster pretty well.
Having a power take off in a vacuum this size is great. It means you don’t forget to turn the vacuum on before starting a cut, or have to keep bending over to turn it off and on. It also means you don’t have to put up with the noise any longer than necessary (it is quite loud). The vacuum runs for 10 seconds or so after you stop using the plugged in tool.
It seems pretty sturdy in general and great value for the price.
Very useful having an induction loop to automatically switch on the vacuum when a connected power tool is switched on. The suction is also superb altogether a very good buy, I would highly recommend.
When Routing the stuff goes everywhere, but this machine managed to pull in enough to keep the mess down to a minimum, still need to brush up. The wife nicked it to hoover down the Stone walls in our house and she was impressed.
I was set to buy a more expensive vacuum for my workshop until I read the reviews on the Vacmaster. I bought this instead and it’s Brilliant! The power socket allows you plug in your power tool, switch the vacuum to power tool mode with a big, easy to hit switch, which doesn’t start the vacuum. Once you power up the tool you’re using- the vacuum starts and when the power tool is stopped- seconds later, the vacuum stops. The big switch also has an off position (obviously) which I found useful when adjusting my tablesaw blade. It acts as a safety mechanism without unplugging each time. It can be used in standard vacuum mode too. The hose and power cable are substantial in length and the attachments work really well. Highly recommended!
Great product for the DIY enthusiast. I use this to collect dust from all my power tools. The tube has fitted all perfectly (DEWALT BRANDED TOOLS), and has made cleaning up after the job a breeze. Overall this does a good job, however I am a little concerned it might be a little fragile. The clips seem a little lightweight and all parts feel flimsy. That said it performs well and I am very happy with the product considering it’s price. The auto function when using tools is extremely useful and is its operation in general is perfect.
Great vacuum, lightweight, powerful and with power for tools.
Pity you only get one paper bag.
Henry bags do fit this model which is a shame but the vac is excellent as a workshop / site vac.
Too noisy for home use.
Bought this as my Earlex WD1000 finally gave up the ghost. Had a good look around for a replacement and it looked like Earlex have stopped making the above. I use it primarily it for dirty household jobs and connected to power tools.
Suction is pretty good, it picked up what I needed, it just “feels” less powerful than the Earlex despite being 300Watts more. I like the fact you don’t have to use a bag over the filter also, although it does come with a bag.
Its a very sturdy well built vac, it comes with a rubbery “stepped” attachment that allows you to insert into a power tool dust exhaust, it is more pliable than others I have used so tends to stay in.
the best feature of all. When you attach you the plug of your power tool, Jigsaw, circular saw etc to the power outlet on the vac and move the on switch to setting 2, when you turn on your power tool it auto starts and switches off as you use the tool, a great feature.
I have used it only a few times but would recommend it for the power feature alone.
Lightweight, easy to use, and a very powerful vacuum. Only downside is the power cable is stiff and doesn’t retract so its always getting in the way and coming off the ‘wind-around’ hooks.
Super lightweight very powerful brilliant for my workshop, clears up shavings and sawdust no problem also connects directly to the machinery for easy dust extraction.
I used it with my circular saw, with my sander and it was used to clean the garage floor.Strong little bugger. The accessories are not really made of good quality but they are ok.
I’ve had this for several months now so I can do a proper review. It is now very dirty and has picked up numerous scratches and been bounced off workbenches and racking while cleaning the garage floor. Nothing has cracked or broken and it still works as well as the first time.
One side of my garage is given over to a classic car and the other is my workshop. I make wooden toys and recycle old wood into work benches, compost bins, raised beds, etc. This produces vast quantities of sawdust, wood shavings and general ‘man glitter’.
The Vacmaster handles it all and I am no longer knee deep in sawdust. Capacity seems vast and there is an adequate selection of attachments, can even reach the cobwebs in the rafters. Plugging your power tools into the socket on the Vacmaster means it only runs when the tool does.
I’ve had to fabricate a few additional converters so that the hose fits to all the power tools – surely a standard extractor nozzle isn’t beyond the wit of the power tool manufacturers? Connecting the hose to a tool’s extractor nozzle doesn’t get everything so there is still a bit of conventional hoovering to do after the dust has settled. However, I do end up with more mess on the floor from handsaws and chisels than the power tools with this connected.
It is a bit noisy (but so it the very expensive high-tech monster used in the house) and the three sections of the shaft used for doing the floor have to be pushed together hard to keep them together, but they are just niggles.
Surprised at quality and performance for the price of this excellent wet and dry vacuum cleaner / blower. Thought I was buying cheap but in fact unit has exceeded my expectations in performance in terms of suction power in both dry and wet modes. I easily attached my power tools and used it to clear shavings from my planer and sander. I have used it in anger in my workshop for clearing up larger wood shavings, metal debris and general dust. I also have used it so far 3-times in wet mode to suck out to dry toilet cistern when replacing flush unit – very powerful. Swap out of dry filter for wet was easy and convenient. Overall, very impressed.
I only received this yesterday but couldn’t wait to tell whoever is thinking of buying one BUY IT. I have a large patio a drive and path around the front of the bungalow to the back door it’s a lot of sweeping. I’ve been having some trouble with my back for a while so haven’t been sweeping outside so I put a search in Amazon and found this. It’s lightweight easy to use and most of all does a great job. Wish I found it ages ago. I haven’t tried the blower or water function yet as not needed to.
Overall very good value for money.
Easy to use and good accessories range.
Downsides: wet filter doesn’t look very robust. Also, you can buy the dust bags (not strictly required) only from the manufacturer web site. However the service provided is good.
I’ve had this over a year and it has handled numerous heavy duty tasks in my garage and many DIY projects. It is powerful, compact, lightweight and robust – exactly what you want from a vacuum in the garage.
The ability for a power tool to be plugged in via the vacuum avoids having to keep switching the vacuum on and off with the tools attached to it. I use this extensively with sanders, saws and other tools and it works perfectly. Also I periodically get some flooding in my garage and it has handled this quickly and efficiently.
When it was about 11 months old, it stopped working suddenly. I reported this to Cleva Europe and with minimum fuss they sent me a new head unit on next day delivery and it is working perfectly again.
This is a brilliant hoover. We bought it to clean our office and workshop areas, it picks up everything from small stones, soil, etc. I have a puppy in the office who loves to shred cardboard boxes and it even picks up the chunks of cardboard without getting blocked. The only criticism is that the cable is a bit too short but apart from that it has been a great buy and does the job.
We bought this to deal with cat fur in the carpet since we bought our new pet. I’m pleased to say that it’s been great, and has cut down on vacuuming time dramatically. The cord and hose are long enough that I can manage to hoover the whole flat from one socket too, which has been a nice upgrade. My only criticism would be that it’s a little loud, but that’s to be expected given the strength of the motor.
What’s not to like- bought it to clear up everything from dust to nails to shavings during a renovation. Works fantastic was really pleased. The price was good compared to shops and other sites. Only downside if any is it uses a bag. But we bought extra ones from B&Q. Used it everyday for 4 months and still going strong.
As most of the time the hose is used without any tubes attached I’ve knocked off a star for the poor angled section that you hold while vacuuming. Others I’ve had have had a nicely shaped curved section that’s almost a foot long. I assume it’s been designed for attaching to sander machine outlets.
The other reason for a four star rating is for the price of replacement dust bags if you prefer to use them. Looking them up on Amazon they cost an unbelievable 38 plus postage for a pack of three! There are much cheaper alternatives that will fit.
It’s only day one so this is an ‘opening’ assessment of the vacuum which otherwise looks to be fine. The cable, being three core (due to the built in socket) is rather bulky but i’ll have to accept that. At first I thought it a pity the socket only works while the vacuum is working. But interestingly I have also purchased a power file machine that has a hose attachment on it. When you plug it into the vacuum socket then press the switch to the socket setting the vacuum only starts up when you turn on the power sander. Clever that.
The hose is nice and long and soft which is handy when cleaning out the car, but as I said previously, it’s a pity about the angled bit that you hold while sucking up stuff.
In all, a really nice machine especially the long flexible hose. ( except for the angled end bit)
A great tool for the workshop. The addition of the extra connection and control feature works well and is very convenient to use. Well worth the money.
Best edition to my workshop for ages. Tired of having to move outdoors to sand or saw wood in my workshop – particularly as its so cold in this country over the Winter – this vacuum can be attached to your power tools while you work and it vacuums the dust as you go. It’s a superb product at a really good price. The Seller is exceptionally responsive and helpful as I had to contact them to ask where the accessories where – durr brain here didnt open up the machine fully so I was a little embarrassed but Im ditsy and blonde so hopefully get away with it!
Bought this to replace a Henry that had given up after a long service life. More powerful than the new Henry’s due to EU regs halving the power. Much lighter. Works with power tools as an extractor. Using the drum filter as well as the bags. Very good so far. Perfect for clearing up at work, and saves my festool midi for other work.
I purchased this in 2014, and has worked well as a general workshop vacuum, but mainly using the power outlet for workshop tools, the idea being the vacuum comes on automatically when the power tool is switched on, for dust extraction.
This facility recently stopped working, and I suspected the change over switch, from auxiliary to normal switched vacuuming was suspect. I contacted Cleva UK Ltd to see could the supply me a new rocker switch.
I must say I have never had such good customer service before. My email was answered with the hour, and I was informed there would be a 3.95 charge for p&p.
I asked for a total cost, including the switch, and was told there would be no charge for the switch. I paid the p&p and received the replacement switch within two days, and should I need any guidance on replacing the switch, they would be happy to help.
Bear in mind the vacuum was nearly three years old, so well out of any warranty.
Such service is almost unheard of these days and I would definitely recommend Cleve UK Ltd, and will be my first choice for future purchases..
Well done guys, and thank you.
I bought this for my husband to use in the garage to use in conjunction with his sander and woodworker equipment. He loves it. It is a power machine though very compact. It is relatively quiet. It also has a delayed stop on it which means that all the woodworking machinery stops first so when the Vacmaster stops he knows the other machinery has stopped. The garage is a lot less dusty and there is less mess to clean up after he has been using the tools. So he is not inhaling lots of dust.
Do not hesitate to buy this vac at this price if you are looking for a lightweight compact machine. I wanted a vac for my home workshop and hovering the wife’s car out (typical lady, its normally minging inside) and was about to click & buy a Henry for 130 when I thought I’d do a bit more research and came across this one and gave it a go. First outing I had to do lots of wall drilling in the newly decorated spare room, plugged my sds drill in to Vac (incidentally my son was initially upset as he liked the look of the Henry so I quickly drew 2 eyes & a mouth on the front of this one and explained to my son that this hoover’s name was Vac, Vac Master, said in my best James Bond voice, and now although not entirely convinced he seems happy) and proceeded to happily drill away with Vac sucking up all the debris. So using the onboard power take off socket was a breeze, saved me forgetting to turn on the hoover as it automatically starts up as so as the drill turns and also saved me getting an extension lead out to plug both the drill and a regular hoover in.
Off in to my home workshop after lunch and did a lot of jigsawing (no vac take off on this saw unfortunately) covered the floor in sawdust but fitted the regular extension tubes and floor head on to Vac and he sucked the lot up no worries, just the job. So in summary this appears to be an excellent hoover for the price, thought it might be well noisy but it sounds just normal to me, was worried it would be heavy but is actually very lightweight in my opinion, doesn’t tip over like some others I’ve seen, the hose seems decent and is nice and long, has a nice big power switch, looks very smart & professional and not made from that awful smelling plastic like pound shop ones and holds a nice big replaceable bag inside. When I ordered this item from Amazon I later saw another buyers advice about buying new bags direct from Vacmaster.eu and went to their website and ordered a pack of 3 (5) and was very pleased to discover, when I unboxed the hoover, that they were inside along with a receipt, well done Vacmaster for spending a bit of time looking at customers names & orders.
Bought this to replace Aquamaster that I have had for about twenty five years, son left home and borrowed never to return. This was the nearest I could get and is pretty good value for money. I would have preferred one with a cloth bag instead of the paper filter, but for the price it’s not too bad. Cord could have been a bit longer, but it does have a very generous hose length . On the whole quite a good buy
I use this vacuum for sawdust and general cleaning in my workshop and cleaning the car. It has been excellent so far (three or four weeks). I have not yet used the blower or wet cleaning facilities. I have used it attached to my router and wall chaser and it worked really well. The option of plugging the tool into the vacuum cleaner so that the vacuum starts as soon as the tool is turned on is brilliant. (no more running the wall chaser with clouds of dust because I forgot to turn on the vacuum). The hose plugs in with a twist bayonet action, quick & solid connection.
The vacuum cable is long enough for the workshop but you will require an extension lead if cleaning the car or patio. (The cable is also of higher current capacity than most vacuum cleaners). This unit, like all workshop vacuum cleaners that I have used before, is fairly noisy so is probably not one to be used indoors instead of the Dyson. (:
You will require a pozi screwdriver for the wheel and handle screws (very easy to install)
The unit is a lot lighter than I was expecting (my last workshop vacuum was all metal and weighed a ton)
I am now looking for a supply of bags. (Not essential but easier, and cheaper than the fine motor dust filter)
I note that this item is for sale from two places on Amazon, this being the cheaper of the two. I have found out why the two prices, this unit does not have the power take off and fewer tools, other than that is the same unit. I would recommend spending another tenner and getting the VQ1220PFC (this is the VQ1220PF)
I bought this vacuum mainly to gather up sawdust from my power tools (Saw table and Router). I looked at others that claim you can connect to power tools, and some you had to buy an additional connection kit, but the Vacmaster seemed to be the vacuum best suited for connecting to power tools (within the 70 price range). As it turns out this vacuum is brilliant. I have a Triton TA235CSL 235 mm Precision Circular Saw and JCB 1500W Router and the hose from the vacuum just pushes on to the dust extraction port of the power tools. At a rough guess I’d say that it collects 90% of the sawdust produced. What I like about this vacuum is the power tool socket. You plug in the vacuum to the wall socket as normal, then plug the power tool into the socket on the vaccum, flick the power tool setting on the vacuum, and when you start the power tool, it starts the vacuum too. The vacuum runs for about 5 seconds after you switch off the power tool so as to get all the dust it can. I never thought I’d be so pleased with a vacuum cleaner, but if you use power tools that generate a lot of dust then this really is for you. Better to collect the dust than to breath it in.
I haven’t used the other functions of the vacuum, such as the blower function or clearing up water, but for the price, this is excellent value for money. It was easy to assemble too. You just need a Phillips screw driver as you have 6 screws to screw in, 2 for the handle and one each for the 4 wheels. It took about 5 minutes to put together.
So far i have only used the cleaner for general cleaning so i am not in the position to say too much.

Powerful cleaner, pleased with performance.
Only problem is one of the wheels keeps coming off – superglue required!
Otherwise very pleased.
I use this for work as a decorator my trade can make some dust nice little hover for the money but use the bags 9/10 for the coi
In a nutshell – buy it! This machine is lightweight, quiet to run and very powerful. I have inadvertently sucked up pencils, bolts and screws, but all are easy enough to retrieve! Very happy indeed, can highly recommend.
Choice of bag/bagless feature, powerful suction, multiple hose adapter would be nice
It’s more powerful than I was expecting also has a blower for outside
Great on my artificial lawns good buy
Ideal workshop vacuum, great suction and capacity, the automatic control with a tool plugged in is a great feature
Great machine for sucking and blowing, very versatile, all around the home and garden.
I’m a DIY wood worker and this is my new shop vac, it has great suction, attachments that can attach to my woodworking tools. I’m really pleased and would recommend. SEE VIDEO.
Complicated to put together but brilliant Hoover suction power great, reach great, Hoover bag huge
used it for general use and for cleaning my pond, mud, stones. really good thing
A great bit of kit I love the fact that you can plug your tools directly into it so it doesn’t need to run continuously. And the price is fantastic…
This has been really useful for both wet and dry,
After emptying the hot tub this got the last 2″ from the bottom. Also when the tub was full it suct some sand from the bottom. Another day it was used dry in the garden for leaves etc.
Really good I’d say better than my old Henry
Should come with more bags though.
Well worth the money so far in saved time clearing up
Great product, power ideal for dust collection when using my woodworking tools. Would highly recommend.
Great suction cleans well does an amazing job of getting water up of the floor 5
We bought this to “blow” the lines out on the hot tub when we do a water change. This works OK, but we found using the “suck” function worked better.
It’s light enough and easy to move around, and did a perfect job for what we want it fo
I bought this for my daughter who, with her husband, were renovating their new home. She said that it was priceless and couldn’t have managed all the dust and debris without it. She was more than pleased and it had very good suction power.
Better than expected and just the job for my work shop. Great for use with power tools. Brillia
Have a festool couldn’t justify another one for my 2nd cross cut saw. Bought this as has power take off and I have to say its pretty much as good as my festool extractor. Wouldn’t hesitate to buy another one .
I’m using this vacuum in conjunction with some other bitems for a small dust extraction system for my shed.
Good product which works well. Lid detachment and re attachment could be bette
Couldn’t ask for more from a vacuum cleaner for DIY at home. Does the job great holds suction even after deeded plaster dust. The additional outlet is helpful too. Would recommend
Bought this to clean out the hot tub which it does almost effortlessly. Saving me a stack of time and hard work.
Easy and effective used for work and at home
Even cleaned up the water left in the bottom of my 10ft swimming pool
Used the suction vacuum and blowe
Very light, great suction power and powefull blower,a little noisy and lead a bit short but ok with a extension lead, the accessories hose etc are a bit flimsy so bought the henry pack which is metal and fits great, recommended for the price too….
I like the option of using or not using internal bags. The device has a good ergonomic handle and a decent power lead.
Got this for my workshop and so glad I did.
Connects to all my power tools so no more sawdust all over the place.
You won’t be disappointed.
VERY LOUD!
I abuse it and it keeps sucking. Happy chappy.
Excellent hoover, I use this for detailing cars and it makes light work out of Small to large vehicles; Range Rovers to Porsche’s.
Not used the wet suction function but as a hoover it’s light weight, holds its own attachments and works perfects every time.
Recommended for mobile use, the wheels do not lock so be careful, that’s the only reason for 1 stat less on versatility
I use this vac for construction debris and dor sucking up sludge and water whem im grinding and polishing concrete floors
Brilliant wee hoover really handy and light weight and class it take up water as well as dirt it’s class cleaning the car seats with
Overall very good value for money.
Great product and great customer service.
Brilliant. Delivered quick and easy to assembly. Only downside, replacement bags are more expensive and are sent direct from the USA.
Bought on the recommendation of others for cleaning up after diy and the garage. It’s well built, easy to assemble and does a great of cleaning up.
