I bought this machine after watching a number of online videos on food slicers, being particularly influenced by how a machine cut bread-machine bread. This Venga! 3005 unit does a great job. My wife, who was not enthusiastic about this purchase, admitted to being impressed as it dealt with her keto oven-baked bread using the serrated blade, without issue at 8mm thickness. Equally, with the plain blade, it cut through ham beautifully. The only issue for me was that I had to change the plug to the Australian 240V version but that was a non-event. In essence, we are very happy with this unit.
This is an easy to use food slicer. Well made and easy to clean. Thanks.
Had a cheap plastic cutter from Argos which struggled to cut home made bread and was a pain to clean. This is so easy to clean compared to my last one, and cuts home made bread without a struggle.
Good value for money and you can change the thickness of cutting
Bought this for carving the large gammons cooked at Christmas, if I only use it for this then it is still worth it. Comes apart easily for cleaning just make sure the blade is locked in place properly, still haven’t worked out where the black thumb guard goes so have been using it without perfectly well.
works well. suckers to strong though, but easly fixed buy splitting them. and a bit noisy. but you can pay twice as much for one that dose tha same job.
So well made!! Returned one i bought with Argos, cheap and flimsy. But the venga is far better quality love it!! Would fully recommend this Appliance
This is a great piece of kitchen kit. I often buy gammon joints and I use this to slice them up. How you cook your ham is up to you. I buy a small joint for a fiver and get about 17 good slices from this machine. Would you get 17 slices from a butchers for a fiver? It pays for itself in no time and it will save you money in the long term. Also I may add it is very easy to clean and basic common sense should get you through. Highly recommended by me
Not used it much so far but it slices our home made bread well on the serated blade.
Does the job brilliantly, I have used for meat – cheese – bread and all works great, its makes life so easy
Easy to use and to clean, does its job. I think it’s better than some cheaper brands. So worth the money too.
Love cutting bread. Haven’t tried meat yet but have confidence it will. Does slide a little but its better on a rubber mat. Easy to clean breadcrumbs, just use a pastry brush and hand vac for a full loaf. Much better than the plastic ones on offer but needs a little more space in the cupboard. This is my 3rd electric slicer and I think it might last better than the others.
my last one lasted fifteen years i think this will do the same
For the price it’s a decent slicing machine, easy to use and easy to clean, with hindsight I would have gone for the more powerful motor, but it still does the job for the weekly roast.
Had lots of food slicer’s over the years but my husband is the one who uses it, he say’s this is possibly the best food slicer we have had.
I am pleased with this product. Easy to use and gives nice even slices.
Very nice slicer, safety mechanism is great, easy to adjust the thickness on the slicing. Definitely worth its money in what we will save on batch freezing of Ham especially
bought to slice meats over xmas still using now great slicer would recomend
I bought this to slice our Xmas meats—-Ham, Pork, Brisket. It saved me a lot of struggling with a knife. It worked perfectly.
sliced cheese, tinned corned beef, tinned ham and roast turkey breast no problem
This was a gift for my son in law and he has used it and was very impressed.
Great but the suction could be better as it moves around alo
