I have had two food slicers before but they did not come close to this one. It cuts very well even when I am slicing very thin slices. It is very easy to clean. This was important to me as the two I had before were so difficult to clean that I hardly ever used them. Overall I highly recommend this machine as it is excellent and very reasonably priced.

I have sliced everything with this machine from bread to big Xmas joints (Ham, Beef, Pork) and it did it perfect. I sliced up the joints in various thicknesses from as thin enough for sandwiches and thick enough to use in meals later. The blade is easy to change and the bed that u put ur food on comes off to clean really easily. The only one point I would say is sometimes tiny bits of food get trapped underneath the metal bit where the blades goes but I just use a toothbrush to sweep and wash that bit, it isnt a problem.

I bought this because I was fed up of making such a mess of my homemade bread when trying to cut thin/medium slices and I’m really pleased with it. I chose this machine because it has a 19cm cutting blade which was bigger than others at only 15cm. I don’t know what I really expected it to be like but it is very straight forward to use with very easy to clean surfaces. I just use a pastry brush to brush it down after use. Obviously if you use it for meat, vegetables etc it will need washing after every use but even washing it was very simple with the blade coming off with a lift of the blade lock. It’s also small enough to store easily.

This little machine is amazing. I was hoping it would be good for slicing christmas hams etc but I has far exceeded my expectations. Easy to use, very safe, excellent slices of just about anything. It’s going to pay for itself in quite a short time as I am no longer going to buy those tiny 125g packets of overpriced ham. Amazing product.

I was surprised that this food slicer copes with a range of items. I have used it to cut home made loaves of bread ( best if the bread is really cold). It cut up a half leg of boneless ham very well. I have also used it to cut up a joint of beef when it was cold.
All worked very well. I would recommend this slicer as an efficient product at a favourable price.

I’d decided to make my own bread, rather than buying shop bought, which I wanted to slice and freeze after bulk making. This slicer is perfect for this purpose, with an adjustable slice size. Haven’t tried it with any cold meats, so can’t say how well that part of it performs.

  31. jackeylee123 says:

I couldn’t believe how easy this was to take apart to clean – so much easier than the meat slicer I used to own. Found that both my homemade bread and shop bought cut equally well but also the joints of meat. As someone preparing food for a party I have found this invaluable. Only con, if you can count it, is that as usual it is more suited to right handers than left, but that was to be expected. It sticks to the surface and won’t slide, since the suction on the caps is very good.

Much better than my previous one, much closer in design to a professional machine but at a domestic price.
Easy to use, easy to clean, easy to adjust. Very happy with it.
Don’t moisten the suction cups, it makes it slide, it holds down better dry.

Only had it for a few days but it seems like a solid product. Though it’s a little hard to clean. Would be nice to be able to remove the processing stand instead of just tilting it.

Blade isn’t too hard to clean (but avoid the grease) though the hand guard has pointless dots. Doesn’t need them to grip, imo.

I feel the item takes a while to speed up and starts to whine if you run it too long. Though it’s more or less consistant throughout so no big deal.

Goes thin enough for bulgogi meat (flat blade) and large enough for bread (serrated blade) but only just.

Also a little annoying getting the stuff out. Output is pushed against the motor housing, can’t get a plate under it. Can sometimes warp the product/cut if you’re not used to it.

Still, all these issues are very minor so 5 stars.

So this is a great slicer and works really well but I’m unsure if it’s better for home use or commercial use – I’ll explain.

Firstly it’s a hefty but if robust kit so takes up quite a bit of space compared to a knife. Perfect for a commercial environment but maybe not so in the house as it takes quite a bit of counter space and I struggled to find a cuobaord with any room to store it so it’s ended up in garage. Secondly it only runs for a certain amount of time before it needs to cool down. Not a problem in your house but if you were using it commercially and needed it on hand all the time maybe not so good.

Build and quality wise its spot on – different blades and safety features make it a breeze to use and it sliced some cheese perfectly for me.

I’m just not sure where it sits in the market at the price tag of 69.99.

  37. MarcoMorrill says:

First of all ,for a food slicer ,this is a reasonable affordable price .
Indeed ,this however can only be used mostly at home and not for professional purposes due to its time of function before it needs to be turned off in order to cool down.
The slicer came in ready to use ,just needed to unbox.
Quite easy and forward to be used ,instruction are not really needed .
Quite loud when using it ,and also it take a bit if time to clean it ,so I definitely don’t see this as a daily use .
Myself I am planning to use this only on special occasions such as having friends come over and prepare some appetisers or doing some fine dining plates .
It is quite robust so it does take a bit of space from you kitchen counter.I have an second kitchen so I am planning to keep it there ,as I am not using it everyday.
I am going to upload any video as there are quite few already ,but Ill attach some photos .

Good food slicer at a reasonable price .

  38. MalindaSpivey says:

     United Kingdom

This definitely isn’t suitable for commercial usage as it has limited running time before it needs to cool.

For normal home usage though this should be fine – unless you’re planning a major canning, pickling or preserving marathon to use up a huge glut of produce.

We like the Two blades – one for bread and the other for cheese, meats and fruits.

we like the safety features to protect hands etc

It is quite loud but it’s not going to be used all the time so not too bad.

It does take up a lot more space than a knife so there is a trade off between the amount of storage space this needs versus how much time you’re saving cutting produce.

If you’re just cutting the odd loaf then this doesn’t represent good value money wise nor kitchen real estate.

This is a review of electric slicer.
The one I’ve received is black as seen on the video. It is matt and easy to clean.
It can slice thickness of 1 mm to 15 mm thick. The blades are very sharp and do not tear products, but instead slice smooth pieces. It is very easy to adjust thickness – just turn the dial.
My only criticism is that it is a bit loud.
It is good equipment to have for when you are hosting the party or have a small business. It will work for both.
Power bottom is a little tricky to figure out how to use , but once you do it is a piece of cake.
Product coms with guard to prevent your fingers being cut.
Overall look is a bit plastic-y but it works well.

I’m not new to this type cutting machines so I can tell that this is a good quality machine.
This machine comes with 2 different blades, one for bread, fruit and cooked meat and other one is for thin meat slicing. You can use these blades to cut other edible items but for the best results stick with meat, bread and cheese.
This machine is best for commercial use but can be use in house if you have space to put this in a corner.
One this you have to make sure that you clean this machine properly before you put this away. Plenty hidden areas for bacteria to develop.
Very safe to use if you take all safety measures.
Overall a good quality and well made slicer for both commercial and domestic use. Available for reasonable price.

I can’t fault this food slicer, it is of very high quality. I make a lot of bread in a bread machine and it is very awkward to cut with a knife. This slicer cuts the bread with ease. I like the fact that for cutting bread you have a separate serrated blade. I have used this to cut meats, cheese and even a few vegetables.
I can get twice as many slices with this machine that I would get using a knife. You can adjust the thickness of your cut from 0 to 15mm.
It is lightweight and it’s easy to clean. The slicer would be brilliant to prepare foods for parties, Christmas, and would save you time.

Works fine with a couple of issues that I don’t mind so much. The bed should be a little higher as it does not always cut the bottom of the meat. It can also break up the meat you are cutting into shreds, but it depends probably more on how you cut the meat, eg: if you cut on the main grain of the meat it is mostly ok. Still love the product even with these issues and gets a better cut then my electric knives.

  44. Anonymous says:

You would be hard pressed to find another food slicer at a similar price, so how does this one measure up? Well there’s no assembly to do out of the box, just remove all the packaging. It comes with 2 blades, a serrated one for tough vegetables, joints or bread and a smooth one for fine slicing meats, cheese, etc. The thickness of the cut is easy to adjust, from 0 to 15mm and there’s a little scale written on the adjusting mechanism so you can judge how thick your slice is going to be. So adjust the thickness then turn the slicer on via the child safety switch.
The manual could be better, it doesn’t mention that there are 2 blades or explain what they are for so I had to come back to the Amazon description to find out. It also doesn’t mention that you can remove the bar that holds the mobile food tray for cleaning.
The slicer works well (see video) although at this price don’t expect a professional shop style slicer. In fact you can only use the slicer for a recommended 10 minutes before you need to turn it off for a while to cool down so it’s not recommended to use this slicer in a commercial setting. Once you’ve sliced up your food, you need to clean the device which is a bit of a fiddly affair. The tray and holder are removable as is the blade so that’s fine although you can’t put them in the dishwasher. The faff is cleaning the rest of the device, especially if you’ve been cutting something messy (see photo of device dis-assembled). Note also that you need to clean the blades before first use as they have a fine coating of grease on them when new.
In summary, there aren’t many food slicers on the market at this price and despite a few minor niggles, it does what it’s supposed to do just fine and it’s not too big for the average kitchen either.

This slicer does what it's supposed to do at a reasonable price

I have now had a chance to test out this electric food slicer from Venga. The food slicer is supplied with 2 blades:1 serrated for bread, and 1 smooth blade for finely cutting cheese, meat joints etc.
As of yet, I have only tested it out to slice a loaf of Sourdough bloomer. The food slicer did a good job of slicing the loaf of bread, operation was simple enough-regulate the dial at the back to get the desired degree of thickness in mm,switch the machine on and utilizing the guard move your food item across the rotating blade to slice it.
It took me a short while to figure out how to use the machine, but once you bypass that it is very straightforward indeed. One should note that when switch on the on/off button you need to push the little lever beside towards the power button, whilst pressing the button at the same time.Obviously,an additional safety feature,if you don’t do this, the machine will not switch on.The bread sliced well, but it did create a lotof crumbs that then needed to be cleaned up afterwards, both on my kitchen table and on the machine itself.
The machine has 4 suction pads under its base to ensure stability on a table or kitchen worktop surface. The machine guard, slides across a chrome finish bar,the body of the machine is coloured black. The food slicer has a power output of 200 watts and does what one would expect it to do.
Currently, selling on Amazon for 87.74 it is a useful kitchen tool to have. The machine does require a fair amount of space,so maybe not best suited for the smallest of kitchens.
I am going to provisionally award this 5 stars on the basis of my experience of slicing bread and will further update this review, once I have had a chance to test it out on a joint of meat,or a big block of cheese.

    Love this slicer! Working great.
Sharp blades, which cut the ham and cheese perfectly.
The package includes 2 blades. One of them is perfect to cut the bread, another blade great for meat, cheese and vegetables.
Its small size, around 37cm long, so easily can find space on kitchen to place it.
Also its quite easy to remove the items for washing.
The slicer itself also is light weight.
Overall, would like to say its an amaizing slicer for that price.
    Definetly worth to buy it.

One of my best buys! Slices bread, cake, meats hot or cold, from thick to very thin slices, even hard Cheddar cheese can be sliced if you move it through slowly. I am absolutely delighted with it. It is easy to clean, just lift the tab in the middle of the blade, twist and the blade lifts off. The machine can then be easily cleaned. The suction feet are very strong and keep the machine firmly attached to the worktop. As I use my slicer every day I always keep mine on the worktop.

This is great slicer. Ideal for slicing beef joints. You can adjust thickness from very thin to thick easily. Makes joint go a lot farther. Wish I had purchased one years. And easy to clean. To keep the plastic guide from getting damaged just put a thin piece of rubber or simular under edge of guide after use. Stops it falling off when moving.

How have I lived 55 years without this? Perfect if you like thinly-sliced meats: we’re now doing ham and roast beef like you’d get at the deli. Not only looks great but I think you eat less when you can slice more thinly. Has also been wonderful for potatoes. We have a mandolin but if you want lots of uniform slices for a recipe this is more dependable and much faster. A bit of a faff to clean but I think that’s inevitable with this kind of tool.

End of the slices of bread has a ridge or tapers off thinner. Not major but a shame and its other wise good. It’s better than the cheap white plastic one we had before. Cuts slices well and steady ither than the end. You have to catch the slices as theres no tray other side.

This product does the job for small joints of meat. Sliced the Christmas brilliantly. Sturdy construction. Cleaning of the slicer is a bit fiddly but when you get used to it it becomes easy. Good slice thickness adjustment. Meat can get trapped between the vertical side plate & slide plate but can be easily cleaned.i assume this is common with all slicers. For the money I’m happy with the product.

First review I’ve written. I bought this for my partner for Christmas and was unsure how effective it would be. Firstly it arrived quickly, but we didn’t open it until Christmas morning, then it was quickly and easily assembled (minimal) and used to carve our Christmas meats. Since using it for turkey and ham that day, we’ve used it for beef and pork too. There is variable thickness slicing which is great for the family who like different thicknesses and it makes the meat go further which is an added bonus. We’ll never buy processed meat again! It is super easy to clean too. I’ve never written a review before but felt compelled to write for this item, which is great and a reasonable price too. If you’re buying this for domestic use, you won’t regret it (in my opinion).

We had this to replace a very old slicer we had for Years. The thickness adjustment is brilliant and it can cut a Gammon/Beef joint perfectly because of the Blade Diameter but the cleaning is not so easy. The Stainless Steel tray that the Meat sits on would have been VERY easy to make removable, but as only the Blade and Plastic pusher plate are removable, this makes the cleaning a more difficult task. Our old one could be dropped into the washing up bowl to be cleaned but this one must be cleaned using a dishcloth and Paper Towels, as the Motor and Bearings are “in built” and cant be immersed.
Only planning on the occasional use, this will be fine, but I would not want to do through the Cleaning procedure to often.

I would describe this as a consumer product as it’s lighter built and less powerful than my last slicer. That said, it performs excellently and cuts bread and meats without any issues. The blade and slice guides allow for ‘snag free’ cutting.
The polycarbonate slide/holder guard is flimsy and broke the first time I cleaned it, it fell off the worktop onto a laminate floor.

Golden Review Award: 22 From Our UsersWhen my husband ‘suggested’ this as a kitchen tool, I can’t say that I was too impressed by the idea. I’m not the best chopper, and struggle to get any uniformity out of my bread and meats. I didn’t know it was issue until I saw just how far you can take it. 1mm sliced pork shoulder easy! A whole salami sausage, sliced in a crack! Machine cleaned and put away in less time it would have taken me to hack the pork joint up for one meal.

The amount of plastic waste I’m going to stop contributing is immense as I will no longer buy deli/pre-packed sliced meat. I also want to point out just how good the suction cup feet are. I had to lift one foot at a time as I just couldn’t lift it off the table. You can be certain that this is not going anywhere until you want it too.

The only downside is that I now want to try slicing everything, had to talk myself out of slicing the carrots with it!

Golden Review Award: 20 From Our UsersUpdate: upgraded from 4 to 5 stars now I’ve had it for a while and been able to put it through its paces.

Bought this to cut down on spending on cooked meat for kids packed lunches. I’ve used this to slice a cooked 2.5Kg gammon joints and it worked fine. I’ve also used it to cut uncooked gammon steaks and it worked just as well. The blade doesn’t feel particularly sharp (although it is serated) but does do the job. The blade doesn’t run particualrly fast, and the motor does slow a little under load, but as long as you’re patient and take it steady it slices perfectly, certainly much better and quicker than I can do it with a carving knife.

The cut width is adjustable from 0 to 15mm. 2mm for the ham worked well and 15mm would be a good thickness for cutting homemade bread.

It seems to be reasonably well constructed, with the main body being metal but does also have a lot of plastic. It’s easy to clean, requiring a wipe down with a cloth as there isn’t anything that can go in the dishwasher, but this only takes a few minutes. The blade is easily removeable and the sliding mechanism flips forward to make everything easily accessible.

Overall, great for occasional home use. It should certainly pay for itself quite quickly when compared to buying deli counter meats.

Not too big, so it is not a problem to store it if not used. Easy to clean and works well. The only thing – it cuts slightly too thick. Everything else is great! Thanks!

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersNow I can make sandwiches which fit in my mouth! Although xl loaves don’t fit, large home baked loaves work well and normal thickness bread slices can be cut easily. This allows sandwiches to be made without veering from ultra thick to too thin, so the filling oozes out, in one slice! Use a pastry brush to decrumb with occasional wash. Obviously if using for meat cleaning would be more intensive.

Golden Review Award: 42 From Our UsersI’m delighted with this slicer. I bought this primarily to slice home cooked ham and homemade bread. I reckon it will have paid for itself after I have cooked and sliced seven or eight 1kg hams, instead of buying my usual deli counter ham. The sliced ham can then be frozen in smaller amounts, each amount separated with layering or baking paper then all put into a zip seal bag, allowing a few days worth to be defrosted at a time. I like very thinly sliced ham for sandwiches and this slicer will do that with ease. When slicing bread, I make sure the loaf is completely cool. It cuts through the loaf without tearing it to pieces, creating perfectly even slices. so long as a minimum setting of about 12mm is used.

Cleaning is fairly straight forward. It just needs a bit of a brush down if it’s been used for bread. After cutting meat, I wash it with a hot soapy cloth. All parts are pretty accessible if you tilt the sliding tray forward, increase the slice width setting to max and remove the blade – all very easy to do. A thorough clean and dry takes about 5 minutes.

Updated: since writing this review, I have continued to be really pleased with the slicer, even more so since discovering by accident that the front tilting platform and silver bar lifts off completely, making cleaning even easier. The bar is held in place a little like a spring loaded toilet roll holder. Pull it out and the platform comes away too, making each part easier to access.

I seriously could’nt live without this product. It looks awsome in the kitchen. Sunday roasts are a sinch now, no more slicing un-even portions. The ease of cleaning is great!! Seriously 5 stars!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThis machine has been the best purchase in ages. We decided to start making our own ham as shop bought ham is tasteless and deli ham is super expensive. This meat slicer has paid for itself almost in one sitting. If you think about it, 5 nice slices of ham costs about 3 so this machine works out at about 16 packs of ham. This whole plate of ham came from one gammon joint that has been cooked in a pressure cooker with some herbs, spices and beer. It will pay for itself in no time! The cuts are amazing, the 2mm setting gave just the right thickness for sandwiches. Homemade ham also tastes a million times better. Not only that but it will cut loads of other things. Highly recommend!

Wish we'd bought one ages ago!

A bit fiddly to clean but cannot complain for the price. Will see how long it lasts. Cut a gammon into fine slices for sandwiches. Did a good job.
