I have 4 cats and this is perfect for multicat households.
2-3 cats can hang out on it without getting in each other’s way. The covered cubby has 2 exits so they aren’t cornered as well.
The top tier is big enough for two 15 lb cats to catloaf together.
I also put a “wave” cardboard scratcher between the 4 columns at the bottom and a cat is almost always lounging there.
I love that I can wipe the surfaces clean, wash the cushions, but new ones of I need to, it looks clean and fits my home decor well instead of being a carpet-covered eye-sore.
The sisial hasn’t worn over the years. I see my cats scratch on it once every blue moon but they prefer the scratchier rope sisial scratchers I have elsewhere around the house. Every cat is different though.
My friends ask me for the brand and are impressed with the stability.
I will buy from this brand in the future and am extremely satisfied with my purchase.
My cat absolutely adores this tree! So easy to assemble and really sturdy. My cat finds the memory foam cushions really comfortable as well. It also looks great in my tiny flat! Worth every penny!

Brilliant product- well designed and sturdy as hell ! My cat immediately explored and is loving it.
My cat is slow to warm up to it, she still won’t scratch it (she prefers her old tree for scratching) but hangs out in the cube or ok the top shelves every now and then.
Update: after over 6 months, the cat tree is adopted. The top shelf in particular is a well liked spot – funnily enough she goes up there when she wants a brush session!
My cat still prefers to scratch her old tree and I haven’t made efforts to switch her interest to this one, but it looks the material is not as “scratch attractive” to my cat.
Update after 2 years: the toy balls fell apart after 1 year, even though she rarely plays with them. She still likes every now and then to go on top when she wants something, but she has never used it for scratching. Her old tree is now falling apart from over-scratching, and since she won’t touch this one I have to get her a new one.
All in all it’s beautifully-made piece of cat furniture, but it’s never been good for its intended purpose: scratching.
Update: I added a hammock to the tree and it’s been the perfect addition. My cat loves it. She still hasn’t scratched that tree since I got it (it’s been years), but it’s she’s been hanging out on top, in the little house and in the hammock depending on her mood.
Cat loves it every bit of it. Its very nice looking and good quality. A bit confusing to put together, but not impossible.
As a retired older lady on own with arthritic hands it took me half a day to put together but got there in the end! I found the Video was so much easier to follow for assembly instructions as I could pause at intervals, it looks purfect in my conservatory is well made and sturdy but for a couple months my 5 year old cat Floyd didn’t seem interested at all until I found out for some strange reason he wasn’t keen on the fur matting! so I replaced it with rubber matting securely and with a bit of coaxing and time he is happy now to sit up top and look out of the window.
Although quite expensive I’m happy with purchase as I know this will last a lot longer than the previous one I had, I would recommend.
Arrived fine, took me a bit of time to assemble but the instruction from the website is easy to follow. Took my cat a while to get used to it but now she lives on it. And it look nice among the furnitures, and you can buy replacement part from the website which is handy.

Im Groen und Ganzen bin ich mit diesem Kratzbaum sehr zufrieden. Ich habe mich fr den Kauf entschieden, da ich diese Plsch-Monster frchterlich finde und so etwas nicht im Wohnzimmer haben mchte. Unser Kater liebt es, auf der oberen Ebene zu liegen. Dort kann er sich schn lang machen. Unsere Katze wetzt sich hchstens mal die Krallen, ignoriert ihn aber sonst. Obwohl unser Kater recht klein und zierlich ist, ist die untere der beiden Ebenen auch fr ihn fast schon zu klein, um bequem darauf zu liegen. Auch das Huschen wird nur betreten, wenn dort Leckerchen versteckt sind.
Einen Pluspunkt gibt es fr die leicht zu reinigenden Polster. Diese befreie ich regelmig mit dem Staubsauger von Haaren. Sie passen problemlos in die Waschmaschine und sind schn weich.
Insgesamt ein robuster Kratzbaum, der optisch berzeugt.
My cat loves a scratching post and her old one was in ruins. Decided to buy this as nice looking and lots of posts to keep her busy. Very easy to put together and everything provided though I did use my own screw drivers for ease of use.

Wir waren auf der Suche nach einem Kratzbaum, der nicht in der blichen Plschoptik daherkommt und wurden hier fndig. Da eine Rezension bei gewissen Dingen erst nach lngerer Benutzung sinnvoll ist, gibt es von uns erst jetzt ein Feedback.
Auch nach 5 Monaten steht der Kratzbaum stabil vor sich hin und sieht trotz rabiater Katze und intensiver Nutzung noch so gut aus wie am ersten Tag. Besonders hervorzuheben sind auch die beiden abnehmbaren Liegekissen. Das Klettband hlt bombenfest und wir haben festgestellt, dass die Kissen sich im Kurzprogramm sogar in der Waschmaschine waschen lassen, ohne an Form zu verlieren. brigens war der Aufbau berhaupt kein Problem und alleine innerhalb einer halben Stunde erledigt.
brigens: Wir haben es noch nicht gebraucht, aber man bekommt bei Bedarf auch Ersatzteile (Kratzsule, Liegekissen), was wir auch nicht unwichtig finden.
Fazit: Glckliche Katze, zufriedene Menschen – und das zu einem wirklich fairen Preis!

My cat didnt like it at first, but now she’s got used to it she’s never far away from it. She can trash a 20 cat tree in about two weeks. This one is still immaculate after several months and she loves the high perch at the top. The box is a nice place for her to go when she wants to be alone. It took her ages to move in and I thought of selling it at first. If your cat is a bit choosey, give it time. You wont regret buying this item.
I also got the little scratcher of the same shade from a family member for Christmas which he also loves – one little problem though. Hes a very big boy and has a BIG JAW and can literally easily fit his whole mouth around the little hollow balls. I’ve heard a few crunches – I’ve discouraged him from doing it but he has a pea brain so we will see. If it breaks up in his mouth I’d be scared he’d choke!
Otherwise though, amazing product. Ridley doesnt like the conventional cat towers with the softness cus he likes a hard/thinly soft surfaces like laminate – so this is just perfect. Love this company and will definitely be purchasing more! Just wish there was a bigger selection! 😀 thank you so much for making my lazy boy not so lazy!
The pads appear very comfortable as ‘His Lordship’ has taken to laying out full stretch on the upper deck pad and curled up on the pad fitted in the through and through box.
He thoroughly enjoys the sisal scratching posts and the scratchy nature of the round fabric pad between the box and the top deck.
The string and sisal balls have been given short shrift and are already at deaths door but that was always going to happen.
The only thing I don’t care for or rather, I worry about is the metal post that sticks out from the upper deck like a metal ruler from which the string and balls dangle from. I do worry that, although it is blunt, the terrific speeds at which my boy throws himself at his ‘cat condo’ I worry that this metal prong sticking out could cause him an injury so I think I will remove the screws and take the metal prong off altogether, that wat there can be no worry for me and no high speed accidents for my lovely lad.
Other than that, I’d recommend this item so far. I can not vouch for how heard wearing it is as we have only had it for a week, I will update this review in say, 6 months.
All other cat trees, scratch posts etc have been rubbish and lasted no more than a couple of weeks with the exception of one rather expensive lotus flower cat tree from zooplus bought for him 3 years ago when I first got him. Despite being slightly chewed, it has lasted well and been the best one of the lot – until now.

Our previous cat tree was falling to bits. It was covered in fluff which our kitten was eating! This cat tree is stylish, affordable and strong with memory foam high quality pads and space for 3 cats.

einziges kleines manko , persnlich find ich die blle nur durch einen knoten im faden getrennt etwas Lieblos aber das ist schnell selber behoben.
Absolute kauf Empfehlung und wird wahrscheinlich der Letzte Kratzbaum , auer wir brauchen fr einen anderen Raum nochmal einen.

We bought this around 3mths ago. And if yoi had told me we would spend 89 on a cat tree I would honestly laughed at you.
This is a well built sturdy cat tree. Our male cat is a big boy very long and sturdy cat. He loves it and sleeps on the top platform the mostly. The fact we can machine wash the pads is amazing. I would highly recommend this for any cat but especially large long cats. It’s was easy to build just read the instructions and sort the platforms in the right order. I’m not great at building things at all…. but this was a simple build. I would recommend 2 people as the platforms are well built and solid. It’s worth the price.
Replaced a very old and worn out cat tree. This is well made, good quality item which came without assembly instructions. But easy to assemble (40 minutes) if you lay out the peices and study the picture on the box. Very sturdy and smart looking.
Only problem I have is that my fussy cat won’t use it! He really doesn’t know a good thing when he sees it.

Edit: I came to say that my cat uses the tree now. I had to put carpet material instead of provided white pillows. Now my cat loves this tree but she still cannot go on top shelf because it is unstable.

It looks nice but not stable enough. My cat is afraid to go on it so she only scratches the bottom. Also she is not a big fan of the pillow material so I had to put small carpet there. Overall I am quite disapointed that for such price the result is so poor.
In my case, I found the instructions a little confusing and misleading, but i was very careful, took my time, if i got it wrong, i carefully undid etc.
There is just ONE long screw attachment that I felt wasn’t long enough, but the sturdiness of the rest of the tree has held it up tightly and securely.
Screwing things in tightly with seagrass rope can make soft hands a bit sore, but i started wrapping a towel around which protected my hand and helped ensure everything was as tight as possible.
It’s a beautiful cat tree, but the only downside in my opinion is that the scratching parts are cheaply stuck down… they’re doing ok atm, and I know they can be replaced by purchasing extra (either Amazon or the Catit official website), along with the memory foam cushions and woven sissel patch. I’d have liked to see more expensive replacements, like wovel sissel scratch posts available – maybe a lot more expensive, but a lot harder wearing (the BEST wearing scratch in my opinion as can last years and is more attractive)
Overall it’s a wonderful piece, lovely and good value for something intended to last years, my cat loves it too
I think this is much nicer looking that the ones that are all covered in carpet. My cats really like it too. They shared the top tier as kittens, but now they are too big so they tussle over who gets it. So, if anything, I only wish they sold one with one more high tier.

First of all is like to start out by saying this cat tree is so great! It’s sitting in my living room and it looks like apart of the furniture so sleek and modern and doesn’t make me feel like there is a tacky carpet covered cat tree in my living room. I bought this product deciding to ignore the bad reviews below. My kitty loves it! And he no longer scratches at any of my furniture. I was worried because one review said it wasn’t very durable, the Rope had fallen off from his cat scratching at it but for the sake of the good looks of my house I decided to ignore that and I’m sure glad I did because 5 months later it naturally does looks like the cat scratch it a lot, but it’s still holding on ,works great, and best of all looks wonderful!!!!!
Not the cheapest cat tree out there but i was looking for one that looked nice in my home and this really does. Was easy to put together too.
Absolute winner! We searched for so long to find a nice cat tree for our new kitten. Since she is going to be an indoor cat, she needs exercise. All other cat trees are either the hideous carpet covered eye-sores, or $300+ My kitten loves it, she scratches and stretches on the posts, and loves to lay & sleep on the top. Great for cats who love to climb. I read reviews that some cats couldn’t get into the box, so I put her inside the box myself and after a couple days she figured out how to get in on her own. One of the best things about this cat tree is that it’s very easy to keep clean. When one of the pads got dirty we just threw it in the wash and put it back on. This is not possible with the ugly carpeted ones. It looks so good in our living room, and the wood surfaces are easy to wipe clean. She loves to play with the sting of balls that hang off the side.

Ich habe noch nie so einen hochwertigen Kratzbaum gesehen, dies zeigt sich wirklich in jedem Teil. Die Verarbeitung der Materialien ist einwandfrei, so wie auch die genutzen hochwertigen Materielien. Endlich mal ein stylischer Kratzbaum, der nicht nach krzester Zeit zusammen bricht oder abgeranzt aussieht.
I purchased this cat tree for my 17-pound fellow because it got excellent reviews on its sturdiness and it looks really nice. I am very happy with the overall look and with the quality of the materials, but it is definitely wobblier than I was hoping. My cat is exceptionally large, and the tree really bucks and sways when he jumps up onto it. That said, it didn’t take him too long to get accustomed to the motion, and he enjoys sitting on the top platform and watching the world (or napping). The other platforms and the inside of the box are too small for him to sit comfortably.
Overall, I’d recommend this tree to someone with a normal-sized cat, but someone with a very large cat might want to find a more rugged option.

All 3 have broken or fallen apart somehow during assembly!
This however is superb, amazing, incredible! This is all you need don’t waste your money buying any other.
Spent hours trying to assemble the first box before i realised the instructions were wrong.
But when put together it’s beautiful and our ragdoll loves it.
We previously had one with fleece type fabric all over it and just attracted cat hair but this one is easy to clean around and washable mats.
It’s goes really well with our home decor.
Excellent cat tree! Our Ragdoll kitten loves it. It is sturdy and I have no doubt that my kitten will comfortably use it and climb on his tree even when he reaches adulthood. It looks modern, the cushions are extremely soft and easy to clean/wash. Strongly recommend it an elegant looking cat tree.
Since being built and put in place in our hall our cats have used the tree everyday. It is very sturdy and definitely much more solid than our previous cat tree.
Almost perfect cat tree! I love my cats and want the best for them, but I also love interior design and so cat trees were always one of those items that I begrudgingly bought out of necessity but were an eyesore in my home. However, that is no longer the case! Vesper cat trees are stylish and modern, but also durable enough for my two large cats. My brother and sister-in-law also have this cat tree and it has held up for them for around 2 years! My only qualms about this particular cat tree is that it is not as tall as my cats would prefer (it is the tallest model they have) andthe two screws for the dangling play toy were missing in my order. I always recommend buying used – like new if possible or waiting for a sale on vesper products! Don’t hesitate to buy this cat tree if you are tired of looking at those generic carpeted ones – you don’t have to compromise!
I bought two of these trees for my living room to replace some aging old carpeted models which had worn spots. The directions leave a lot to be desired but there is a really good You Tube video that shows the process. I like that the pads are washable as my cats sometimes puke on cat trees. the cats have taken to the trees well enough although after a week, they are just starting to explore the cubbyholes. I like the sleeker more furniture look and it blends in nicely with the living room decor. None of my cats has shown any interest in the hanging ball toy though. If I could give 4 1/2 stars, I would with the reduction due to poorly written directions

Das Preis-Leistungsverhltnis ist klasse, da er schn stabil ist, und auch sonst einen qualitativ hochwertigen Eindruck macht.
Das Aufbauen ging sehr einfach da die Teile sehr passgenau sind, nichts ist auch nur ein kleines bisschen verzogen.
Zudem ist er natrlich optisch sehr schn. Ich wollte keinen plschberzogenen Kratzbaum, und da ist die Auswahl ja leider nicht sehr gro.
Bigger than I expected, which is a good thing as my kitten will grow into it and she already loves it. Looks very neat in the lounge and was easy enough to assemble.
This is a really good item. I was concerned about some of the reviews, but I experienced no problems at all. Just be cautious on assembly, some of the diagrams in the instructions aren’t very clear, and are missing some details (such as which panels should have holes/velcro). Double check the placement of the holes and check them against the next steps. It’s easy to get the box section the wrong way round, but had this built without any problems in 20-25 minutes.
So I was super annoyed that I had to go pick this up at the UPS store because they wouldn’t leave it with anyone. Once I carried the 50lb package to my car and then from my parking lot, up to the apartment–I was less annoyed.
SKIP THE DIRECTIONS! They’re useless. Go directly to the videos on youtube and they’ve got all you need for the super easy assembly. Put this together by myself in about 30 minutes. I’m not the greatest at this sort of thing but I found it super easy with the videos.
My ONE complaint is the bamboo rope. I wish it was sisal rope because my cats love that better than the bamboo but everything else is amazing. Love the removable pads and love the design. I think my cats wish it had a bit of a wider middle (as they tend to jump on the desk and then up onto this thing) but they still spend time on it. Perfect for window watching! And perfect for my hate of carpet.

Assure que ces qualits perdureront long terme, au contraire des nombreux arbres chats que j’ai pu acqurir et qui n’auront pas survcu plus d’une anne. Exception faite, du produit suivant, plus haut (141 cm), robuste et trs stable condition, face des chats turbulents, de l’adosser un mur. Achet en 2014, il a vaillamment rsist.

Overall, it’s a great product for the price. It looks nice, is pretty sturdy, and my card already love it.
Cons, okay so it’s fairly cheap manufacturing, it’s the chip bored wood with veneers on it. But hey it’s a cat tree, that’s not really a deal breaker because you pretty much have to replace these every 5 years or so any ways.
Con, mine came without one set of screws, Amazon gave me a promo credit to make up for it, and we went to Lowe’s and found a screw that fit. So it still worked out, just took some extra time.
Pros, it’s lovely to look at. My fat cat fits in the box. The cats haven’t demolished the little wicker balls yet, but I really only give those a few weeks. Cats love laying on the top perch. The cats have already started scratching the posts. Yey.
So again, overall, good product, 4 stars for great looks. Minus one for the instructions being hellish to follow and having to find replacement screws.
Der Aufbau: Prinzipiell einfach – es gibt sogar ein Tutorial auf Youtube (finde ich persnlich einfacher als die beigelegte Anleitung), nur der mitgelieferte Imbus ist irgendwie nicht ganz mit den Schrauben warm geworden, heit “hat nicht richtig gepasst”. Evtl. wars eine Ausnahme, man wei es nicht. Zum grten Teil alleine zusammengeschraubt, nur fr die die Rollen habe ich meinen Mann von der Couch gebeten, damit er mal festhlt. Alles in Allem 30 Minuten und schwupps Katzen drauf. Danach gemerkt, dass ich die weien Einleger falsch herum eingesteckt habe… egal. Katzen (brigens 3 an der Zahl, eine davon recht propper – so viel muss der Baum aushalten) passen trotzdem durch und der Optik tuts keinen Abbruch.
Die Rollen an sich sind aus Kunststoff, die Platten aus Holz. Er hatte anfangs einen leicht wackligen Eindruck gemacht, hat sich aber mit der Zeit gegeben (lag wahrscheinlich eher an unebenem Untergrund was Hin- und Herschieben gendert hat). Die Auflagen sind sehr flauschig und mit Memoryfoam – meine Katzen liegen inzwischen besser als ich. Aber sie lieben ihn, hpfen rauf und runter, kmpfen um die Hhle und kratzen nicht mehr am Teppich oder an der Couch. Gut so.
Die Bommel mit der Stange habe ich nicht montiert. Macht den an sich optisch ansprechenden Kratzbaum gleich wieder zum Klischee-Kratzer. Also Bommelschnur durchgetrennt und Bommel als Spielzeug einzeln gegeben. Bis sie unter der Couch verschwunden waren, haben sie unsere Katzen geliebt.
It is slightly bigger than expected – please bear in mind that the box sticks out slightly further than the actual base so the space required is larger than the actual footprint.
It’s more wobbly than I would like, not like it’s going to tip over, but I prefer it not move at all when my cat jumps on and off. I watched the youtube video, and I read the instructions first so I found it very simple to put together. My 6 year old, 10 lb male kitty was more interested in the shipping box until I sprinkled some catnip on it. He likes to nap on the top perch but he won’t go inside the box, which is weird because he likes hiding. He also does not use the hanging balls or the scratch posts, which are not sisal. I may unwrap the seagrass or whatever it is, and glue some rope around the posts instead, as well as hang one of the feathery toys he likes better instead of the balls. It’s much better looking and cheaper than some cat trees I have seen.
The tree itself feels very sturdy, but I shall see how it holds up after a few months because I’m an extreme fellow, and I like to really throw my weight about. My human is convinced it will last, but we shall see. I like the fact that the topmost platform is nice and big so I can truly stretch out. The box is actually rather cosy and I was able to play hide and seek with my human(got to keep them amused, so much easier to maintain control that way). The box is actually a good height, so I don’t have to reach very far to knock off all the useless human trinkets she keeps on her desk beside my new tree. The height is perfect, when she is sitting, I tower over her so she knows who’s the boss, and even when she is standing I am eye level with her so I can still command her to do my bidding. The furry bits are softer than I thought, and I rather like laying on them. The posts are really good for sinking my claws into and it’s good to be able to stand on two legs and have a really good stretch (it keeps me lithe and limber) The best thing of all is that I don’t have to share, so all in all I’m pleased with this tree.
Ne voulant plus des arbres chats plein de “moumoutes” qui prennent les poils et ce dchire,cet arbre me semblait un bon compromis et effectivement je n’en suis pas dus !
L’arbre chat est solide, en bois, les tours des griffoirs sont en sisal et les coussins de couchages sont en tissus doux, ils sont attachs par des scratch qui permet un lavage simplifi. Au bout d’un an d’utilisation les sisals commence se dtach de l’arbre, preuve d’une bonne utilisation de mes chats. La guirlande de balle suspendu t enlever de peur que mes chats ne coincent leurs griffes.

I was very excited to see this cat tree in a friend’s home. It’s clean and stylish. It’s also like $100 less than the carpeted ones you see at big box pet stores and you can wipe ot down and clean it, easier.
It arrived. We assembled it….well mostly. One of the screws to a lower tube that stabilizes the top and some of the second level is way too short. We called the company WEEKS ago. They said they’d send a replacement screw. As of August 9th 2017…nothing.
This item isn’t very stable unless ALL the parts are present. I’m not very happy with our purchase right now. It’s dangerous for our cats, one being elderly, and it wobbles too much. We took the top off hoping they’d be able to play in the more Stable bottom part. Nope. I hope we get that part, soon. When and if we do…I’ll edit my review. But right now, it’s unsafe for my cats and taking up space for no reason.
At first I was extremely irritated and frustrated because I thought the cam screws that are used to assemble the box were too small as they were falling through the holes where I thought they were supposed to go. After an hour of trying to figure out how to assemble the box, I realized the holes where I was putting the base of the cam screws was actually meant for the longer screws. Once I screwed the bases of the cam screws into the 4 holes where the white/clear plastic parts were, the assembly went smoothly. So far I’m impressed with the look and quality of it, but am concerned with the durability of the material on the scratching posts.
I took off a star due to the confusing instructions. The YouTube instructional video helps to some extent, but the key to the box assembly is getting the cam screws into the correct holes which the video doesn’t really show.
This is a quality cat tree! After searching for a cat tree with no fabric, this was an answer to my search! Like many other reviews, it is worth watching the instructional video on YouTube. The written directions are not horrible. But, it is easier to know what side goes where and how to turn the pieces to assemble by watching the video. I wouldn’t say this is hard to put together and certainly should not be a deterrent to purchase. Well worth the money and time invested. The only negatives I have found are, the string that hangs down with the balls attached is cheap. My one cat has already gotten one of the balls off the string. But, he did have fun in the process! And, I would hope Vesper would fix the written instructions with better pictures and writing for the assembly. Otherwise, I am happy and so is my cat crew!

This is the 3rd scratching post we’ve bought because our rag doll keeps outgrowing them, but I don’t see us buying another!!
Yup: our carpeted cat tree turned out to be a hub for a clothes moth infestation. I tried vacuuming it, but just couldn’t keep it without worrying about leftovers from the cleaning, etc., and finally just tossed the whole thing, resolving to replace it.
Enter the Vesper. I will never buy another carpeted/upholstered model again.
I found it easy to build, though the instructions didn’t perfectly align with the exact arrangements of parts/pieces, so it took a minute or two of staring at the available pieces to figure out how to proceed at one part.
If building without using the videos, recommend this process: start by putting the first four poles on the base platform; then attach the first perch ledge; then finish building the tallest poled section; then build the box. The box is the trickiest bit, but only because the instructions are incorrect. In our shipment, it seemed as if the screws for use on the top piece would actually only work with the holes drilled into the bottom piece, and vice versa. Once I figured that out, the only hurdle was working out the orientation of the sliding doored sections. After that, it was quick to add the final bit of pole, and the top perch. The whole process probably took 20 minutes, including “figuring out” time.
I sprinkled a tiny bit of catnip on the circular pad and rubbed it into a few of the posts, and–after some quick scratching–neither one of our two cats has moved from the Vesper in hours.
They haven’t shown much interest in the box compartment or hanging toys yet, but I think they’re just completely taken in by the white pads. Really. They seem completely lulled/soothed by the softness/cushioning, and both are sleeping more deeply than I’ve seen in awhile.

Our big old carpeted cat tree was worn to shreds, but the cat didn’t mine. We moved it and replaced it with this nice, sleek, clean one. The size is right, but the platforms are narrow and the cushions, although soft, and not easy to cling to with claws. Also, because it sits on a smooth platform, it’s not as stable, so there is some rocking/movement, which freaks the cat out. It’s probably better for a small, young, agile cat. Ours sits in her old one and looks at it. I’ll eventually force her to use it by putting pet stairs (more money) up to the little sleeping hole/box so she gets used to it, or has no choice. We closed off the hole in the back of the sleep box so it mimics her current tree house. Oh, and putting it together is a talk that requires a few glasses of wine and good lighting…but do-able for a non-engineer.
assembly this was a breeze- i didnt have to watch the video mentioned in other reviews, but im glad its there because im sure its more helpful than the wordless ikea-style instructions that were included.
i put it together in less than an hour and it looks so nice!
i have 2 rambunctious cats that love to climb everything. the first cat tree i got from petco was covered in carpet and despite my best efforts to clean it and keep it sturdy, the carpet got dingy and the structure fell apart in a little over a year.
this tree is made so much bettet than that. they’re rough on this one too, but when i go to tighten the poles, they’re already still tight and holding up really well. the removable pads are an amazing feature. the velcro holds them in place even when the cats pull on it as they climb and play.
i was concerned the cube wouldnt be large enough for our bigger cat (he’s probably about 12 lbs and really long) but its way bigger than i expected and he fits in it comfortably.
my favorite features: its not covered in carpet, and that doesnt stop them from climbing on it. its insanely easy to assemble and holds together well. you could even set it up a little differently than instructed if you wanted to.
my only complaint: the hanging toy you can attach to the top (and by all means, it is totally optional) is connected with a long piece of metal that sticks out like 4 inches. i know they’re smart and agile but it makes me a little nervous. i’ve left it on since i got it about a month ago but i may remove it because they dont play with it.
* this would never deter me from buying this again- i still highly recommend this product- the price is perfect and it is really well made. i read in some other reviews that you can buy replacement pads, which is really nice!
I couldn’t get my fickle cat to stay long enough for a photograph, but she took to this tree much more quickly than she has to trees in the past. She started scratching the scratching posts immediately, likes the memory foam, and had a blast checking out all of the little areas for cats to sit. She’s started scratching at the velcro instead of the scratching posts, but that’s probably because she hates me.
A few notes:
-Take a careful accounting of all of your parts before you start. Two very tiny screws came in a bag with huge screws, and I managed to lose one of them.
-Assembly is a bit of a pain. Once I figured out which parts went where, it went smoother, but putting the box together is an exercise in terror and frustration. The holes did not line up exactly and screwing the box together was actually physically painful. Making sure that the parts are oriented in the right direction is extremely important.
-The scratching post material has a distinct scent. It actually didn’t bother me that much, but people who are more sensitive to smells probably wouldn’t like it.
-The cubby seems difficult for the kitty to jump into because of the lip over its entrance. There isn’t an entry point for her besides jumping. I was a little disappointed because my cat is getting up there in age and has some issues with her joints. She can still make it, but it’s harder. If your cat is elderly or portly, I would suggest looking for a different style.

I needed a cat tree so my biggest cat (a 20 pound Maine Coon) wouldn’t scratch up my new couch, and so all 3 cats would have a place to lay since the new couch doesn’t really have a back. I absolutely loved the design of this one. I was a little worried because of all the reviews saying it was a nightmare to put together. It absolutely was NOT hard to assemble. I did it myself in a little more than an hour. I realized after I’d gotten it all together that the hole for the box was upside down. I easily unscrewed the scratching post attached to the box, swung it around, took the top of the box off and fixed the panel. All the pieces came in the box and nothing was damaged. It is a little wobbly on the box side, and screwing the tallest scratching post pieces together took a little finessing. So far, only one of the cats is interested in it, and not the one I intended it for. My only complaint is the structural integrity: it seems like the scratching posts supporting the box could be a little bigger to better support it. Also, while the top platform is large enough to fit my biggest cat, it’s too wobbly to for him to be comfortable on it (which other reviews said similar things, but I was in denial). I’ll see if I can shore it up so he’ll use it and stop breaking my heart. The cat in the picture is almost as long as the Maine Coon, but not as heavy, and he fits in the box.
We’d been struggling for a while to find a cat tree that didn’t look out of place in our minimalist house and this one is perfect! It’s easy to put together, looks great, & our cat loves using the various sections. Probably not ideal if your cat is particularly picking about where they sit as the wood finish obviously isn’t as cosy as the traditional carpet but it’s exactly what we were looking for.
I really like this piece of cat furniture. I think the kitties will too when they get used to it. I watched the YouTube video mentioned in other reviews before I began and that really helped in identifying the components. I am used to working on and assembling things so it wasn’t a big challenge except for the lack of strength this baby boomer aged old gal now has in arms and hands. My work around for tightening the screws was to go get a regular size screw driver with the same head. For the allen wrench (or whichever it is) I used a pair of duck bill pliers to grasp it and then I could tighten it as it should be. It was especially helpful when you were tightening a screw with the short end of the allen wrench.
I am very pleased with both the look of the piece as well as its design. Right now there is a couch sitting in front of it that is too be picked up soon and I think once it is gone they will be all over this kitty tower. My two Snowshoe girls way a little over 8 lbs. so it is perfect for them, but the reason I choose this model is because it appeared to have a couple of places that are long and wide enough for my 15 lbs. DLH Tuxedo boy to use. And, sure enough, he fits on them easily. So I would recommend this for the quality and looks. Its sturdy, seems well made and looks so much better than the carpet/fur covered ones that you see. I hope Vesper comes out a multi-cat model that is a little taller and that they still keep the larger cats in mind when designing any of their new products. It was very difficult to find cat furniture for larger breed cats.
Update: This is for the V-High Base:
I would urge you not to use the white entryway inserts that are for the box. Our 1 year old cat is very small, only about 7lbs, and she has a pretty awkward time trying to get into it because of these inserts. If the box is left wide open w/o the insets I’m sure it would be a place she likes to sit in. Or you could careful cut the hole so there’s no bottom lip, which I believe is the biggest issue.
Literally just got this yesterday and will update after a few months but right out of the box, we totally love it and it gets 4 stars for looks, materials, and ease of construction.

These video instructions for the “V High Base” version made putting this together super easy it took me about 40 minutes by myself and I didn’t even use the paper instructions except to verify I had all the pieces.
Materials all look and feel great, no broken pieces no poorly drilled holes – not sure why there are complaints about that as everything was perfectly drilled and lined up. It’s not wobbly at all and we really like the modern style and colors.
We’re adding a new kitten to the household in a week. Currently we have a 1 year old and 16 and don’t expect the senior cat to care about it but the young ones will have to wait and see.
Great little scratching post. Quality parts and well put together. I fixed it alone and it didn’t take very long to work it out. My kitten loves it, so then I do too!
My cats love this. I bought it to use as a feeding station because of our nosy dog. If you want this for exercise /play, it’s definitely for average size cats. My 15lbs monster can’t do much here except scratch the posts and eat his kibble. Kitten loves it and she’ll get a lot of activity out of it for awhile. The very top piece where the balls attach has the holes drilled on the wrong side. Mfg fluke, I guess. We can drill new holes so I’ll be switching that around ASAP. Also, the directions are all images, no words, and the pieces aren’t all labeled (possible packaging fluke or quality control, but my directions also did not have corresponding labels such as part a, b, c. Only the sisal posts were labeled.)
Almost 6 months later…. Thought I’d update. One British shorthair kitten turned to two!! I couldn’t leave his sister behind as they’re best friends. They love it more than we do, which is what counts. Withstands a lot of rough and tumble from two very large kittens and looks as new as the day we put it up. Every part is used daily. Bodecias favourite hangout is top level on sunny afternoon, big Buddha sneaks up when she’s off her throne. And often they sleep up top together. Hide toys and treats in the box. Still love i
The tree is a pretty good height. It’s higher than the couches which allows them to have a birds eye view when we’re sitting and short enough for me to still pet them when they’re on the top (I’m only 5’2″). The top is big enough for both of them to lay together which you can see in the picture. Though, as they get bigger that might change since they’re still kittens. It is also pretty sturdy. It does move a little when they jump onto it but it does not phase them at all. It may also move a little more since I have it on carpet and not on tile or wood. It might be more stable if you have it on a smooth surface. I trust that it will hold up even as they get bigger. The wood also creaks a little when they are moving on it but it’s nothing that bothers me. I really like removable pads. They are made better than I was expecting and seem like they will last a while as long as you take care of them. One of my cats has long hair and she does not seem to get hot or uncomfortable since she will sleep on the top for a few hours.
It wasn’t too hard to put it together. I did it by myself and I actually had a little fun doing it just because I couldn’t wait to see the finished product and let my cats get on it. The instructions weren’t the greatest (which seems to be the case for every put it together yourself product) but I figured it out. The only part that was a little more complicated was the box but everything else you could probably figure out yourself even without instructions.
Overall, it may seem expensive but it is worth it to have something that both my cats and I like!

The only problem is such a small one but irritates because it’s such a good product. The small bracket which the rattan balls hang from need two small screws to hold them in and these predrilled holes do not line up with the bracket holes. Also given the position of where it hangs, it deters my cat from using the long scratch post so I have looped them out of the way and will probably remove the bracket because it gets in the way.
If you buy this, don’t fit the bracket. But it is a good looking product and the cat likes it.
However, we had to customise it (by drilling some new holes) as our cat didn’t like the way it is configured.
We turned the cat box 90degrees so she could walk directly in from the lower platform, rather than sideways), and placed the top platform about 7cm backwards, so that she could jump from it to the box at a gentler angle. (She’s not a great jumper and is getting older).

My only complaints were the difficulty putting it together (which was a breeze with the exception of the very first step, assembling the box portion) — which took a lot of online reading and video-watching to figure out. The trouble I was having involved the diagram, which showed the assembly steps in a clear way, but did not make sense with the parts it was telling me to use. I finally figured out that the drawing had flipped the box upside down to show the relevant area more clearly, without doing anything to explain this to the viewer. If this doesn’t make sense and you are having the same problem take a closer look at the top and bottom pieces of the box house, and you will see that there are different sizes of holes for attaching the side pieces. If the parts seem too large for the holes you are using the wrong square, try using the other wood block instead. I hope this helps!
Also for anyone struggling with the assembly process, try a youtube search, there is a video from Vesper that shows most of the steps.
The only other downside I have run into so far is that one of my cats immediately took issue with the foam cushions after getting her claws stuck in it. This was not a fault of the tree in the least, the material is soft and cushy and great for cats – just something I had not considered when it came to my quirky kitties and their strange tastes.
So far it feels sturdy and is holding up well to all of the attention!
The tree is fairly easy to put together, but it smells terrible for at least a week after you get it. Essentially your home will smell like a hamster cage. All the parts were in the package, but two of the holes were already stripped. This means that the tree is less sturdy than I would like.
After the smell subsided, my cat became more interested in the tree. I put treats on all the different levels and watched her figure out how to navigate it. She is not a very big cat (9 lbs) and doesn’t fit super well in the cubby. I think it has to do with the actual size of the entrance and how there is a bottom ridge to the entrance that makes it harder to jump into.
It was easy to assemble, even if the instructions are a bit lacking in detail. However, our only slight quibble is that after only a week the little balls have come off the string, but with three kittens that does not seem too unreasonable and I think I can repair them…………………..
